Fantastic collection of beers and wine. They serve nice food and the staff is very friendly

I've been waiting for 2 rosés for half an hour. Next to me on the terrace, it's all dehydrated people. The service here is terrible. I'm never coming back.

Nice concept, some beers a bit stale as if they have been in the keg too long or are tapped with too little carbonation. Wide range of beers. Some staff members are helpful, a few walk around as if they don't enjoy their work.

Unfortunately, one of the waiters was very unfriendly. We ordered a burger, which comes with regular fries. We asked if we could replace them with truffle fries. At first, they said it was possible, but then suddenly we were brought both regular and truffle fries. Also, they only accept card payments.

We had a nice time having a drink there; it's a great and fun concept (tapping your own beer or wine) with a choice of 100 different beers. Plenty of tables and seating areas, and there was also a DJ providing the music. Highly recommended!

Nice place, original concept with self-tapping craft beer. As a true connoisseur, unfortunately, there wasn't much special among them.

Simply good, nothing to complain about. Food offers good value for money. Staff friendly and fast service. The terrace is neat and spacious. We had a better lunch here than our dinner at De Thermiekbel. !!Do pay attention!! You can only pay by card here. It is not indicated anywhere on the menu. The lady who helped us couldn't find a mention of it anywhere either (she hadn't been working there very long, maybe it is listed somewhere else).

It is a shame when you consciously choose a smaller entrepreneur instead of the big chains around the corner, only to end up at a large chain anyway. After waiting for nearly an hour for a carpaccio sandwich, I cancelled the order. It starts with the fact that you are expected to place your order via a QR code. I really should have called it quits then, but I did anyway. After half an hour, I inquired with the staff; they said they would look into it but didn't provide any feedback. Ultimately, I cancelled the order.

Nice place to sit, friendly staff. Unfortunately, the dishes are not what you expect. Ordered a sorbet with seasonal fruit in the summer, and what do you get? Three scoops of ice cream with a few slices of apple. Reported this to the wait staff; what was the response? "Yes, the seasonal fruit was still frozen." Oops, then maybe fresh apple would be better after all.

It's fun to taste your way through the beers. And the food is great too.

Food is fine. Perfect for what you would expect. The best is the easy going ambience where you can experiment with beers you wouldn't order from a normal menu. Yes it is a bit expensive per liter, but it pays in experience.

Nice place to taste different beers or wines

The food was tasty and didn't take too long, but we had to wait 45 minutes for drinks, which was very bad. I don't recommend it!

We just waited well over half an hour for our food and drinks, and if we hadn't asked where they were, we would probably still be waiting. Really exceptionally bad service compared to 2 years ago.

Having to wait a long time for your order

A lovely day in Arnhem; we sat down here because of the menu and the great location/old post office. We were sitting across the table; the table was still dirty and wobbly. Ordered via QR, perfectly fine. Drinks were brought quickly, plunked down on the table. I had to ask if she might have a cloth? “I only have a dry cloth,” said the employee. A colleague had a “slightly damp” cloth. And off she went, haphazardly. “Maybe a coaster for the wobbly table too?” Yes…on its way. Well, it didn't come. I grabbed a beer coaster myself from the table next to us where the people had already left. Because the plates had been sitting empty on the table there for 10 minutes anyway. Table, problem solved. Just in time, because lunch arrived. Tasty fries with truffle mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese. Large portion, nice and hot! And a Flatbread Carpaccio was also very tasty! Unfortunately, no one came by in between to ask if everything was to our liking. We went inside to pay the bill ourselves and to go to the toilet. The girl who helped us pay didn't actually know how it worked. I wanted to pay in cash with a tip. A colleague came over, "no cash." Well, I think that's really bad! It wasn't indicated anywhere! So, I decided to pay by card. The girl didn't know how to handle card payments plus a tip. But the colleague had already left by then. So we just ended up paying the amount we owed by card. We were pretty fed up with it anyway. Point of attention: What struck us was that there was a lot of broken glass on the terrace. Everyone wears shoes, but children or dogs, for example, could hurt themselves badly on this!

Nice place with a pleasant atmosphere, but unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. The QR code didn't work, so I had to place my order inside. Consequently, I had to wait 25 minutes for just two glasses of wine. I mentioned this to the staff several times, but only after the third time did it become apparent that my order had to be re-entered. When the wine was finally brought, it was also lukewarm. It's a real shame, as this really ruined the experience. Hopefully, the service will improve, because the location certainly has potential.

Sunny day, nice and busy on the terrace. Not excessively busy though! I was served by an English-speaking woman (American, I guess). Ordered a drink and still hadn't received anything after 20-25 minutes. Decided to walk away and told the waitress that it had taken too long. It didn't seem to matter much to her; she was more occupied with two friends sitting behind me. Too bad!!

The smash burger looks a bit hard-fried.

We have been sitting outside at this bar for about 20 minutes without any service. The previous customer’s dishes were still left on our table, and no one came to take our order. The management appears poorly organised, and the tables are extremely dirty.

Sitting on a terrace, not getting a hello or being allowed to order after 10 minutes, while new tables were receiving service. So we just went to sit on another terrace.

Had a terrible experience after the Suzan & Freek concert. We ordered drinks but ended up only receiving half. Additionally, the staff was very unfriendly and completely unhelpful. In the restroom, other guests even asked me if I sold drugs; truly bizarre, terrible place. They also forgot our order, so we ended up getting no food at all. Poorly organized, bad service, and an unpleasant atmosphere. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Unfortunately, the waitresses don't pay any attention to you, and after half an hour we walked to the bar ourselves to place an order. After that, it also took a really long time, unfortunately.

What a disappointment at Taphuys Arnhem. The food was mediocre and was served lukewarm to boot. The prawns literally arrived at the table in a pan that was practically cold, as if they had been sitting there for a long time before being brought. For the prices they charge, you really expect much better quality. Additionally, we had to wait over 30 minutes for our drinks. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the fried snacks arrived even later. Sorry, but fried snacks really shouldn't take 20+ minutes. Poor service, mediocre food, and absolutely no value for money. I understand that the terrace is busier with this beautiful weather, but ignoring the tables inside and not making time for them is not okay. A real disgrace. Save yourself the frustration and look for something else in Arnhem instead.

It's a shame they changed the menu. The pickled salmon was better than the smoked one, and the bread was also much tastier. Furthermore, you never used to have to search for your fish, whereas here that is the case. A waste of 12 euros for a simple, low-quality sandwich. Also, the QR code is gone from the place again... What used to make it so simple to place an order via a website and ensure you never had to wait long for a delivery means you now just have to hope the staff sees you and you can place an order. After ten minutes, I just went looking for a waiter myself. It undoubtedly cost too much in tips, instead of the excuse they use: "more personal." A genuine shame.

The concept of being able to tap your own beer is really fun. However, the staff pays absolutely no attention to the guests; we sat waiting for well over half an hour until someone finally came over to take our order. Even after waving them over multiple times, no one responded. After we finished our first drink, no one came again, and after 30 minutes, we just walked to the bar ourselves to place the order. When we pointed out that this was taking a very long time, we were told that it was busier than expected. Unfortunately, I don't believe this at all, as this has happened to me multiple times here. Once you had placed your order, it also took a very long time before it was delivered. Eventually, after waiting for half an hour, I just went to pick up my drink myself at the bar, where it had already been sitting for quite some time. If you have enough time and are up for a long wait, I wouldn't recommend going here. The food, on the other hand, was incredibly delicious!

Honestly this place is only good for the drinks. I come here for three years and the only thing that they can make good from food is the fries with truffle mayonnaise. Today i wanted to try something new which is “chicken parmesan” nothing like the original recipe, the chicken is soggy and dry, corn dry, cooked zucchini skin on the side and tomato sauce is sour with cooked tomatoes on the side? Makes 0 sense…and the fries were drenched in salt. Food can be definitely better after 3years but drinks always have been 10/10 here.

Unfortunately, the welcome left something to be desired: upon entering, several employees walked past without greeting us, while the two colleagues at the reception were busy talking to each other with their backs to us. And the music is so loud that you can barely have a pleasant chat, but have to shout softly.

Big place, well visited, ok food, good service and a fantastic concept of putting money on a card, whereby you can then tap/taste the beers you want from a selection of 100 different beers of all types. Only your finances put a stop to how much you want to drink.

We came for the wine wall, and that is clearly not what they are focused on. Some of the bottles were empty or not working. We pointed this out to the staff, but the response was rather lukewarm. "That is a pity," was the reaction. They might have time if things got quieter, because it was a lot of work. The quality of the wine is mediocre to reasonable, but the price for a tasting is a bit steep. The ordered snacks were fine, but quite pricey.

We had a delicious meal and a pleasant time; we eventually sat outside as it was quite noisy inside. This was because there was a large group of people. The service could perhaps be a little better, as they didn't come by our table very often and also forgot things here and there. What also struck me was that there were no partitions between the urinals. A bit strange and uncomfortable. Otherwise, extremely satisfied, and the brownie was truly to die for!! We will definitely be back again.

For a large restaurant, the food was very good and flavorful. The fries were a bit on the cold side, though. A very nice concept to be allowed to tap the many types of craft beers yourself.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff, and situated in a beautiful location. The menu mainly consists of burgers. Nevertheless, we had a great meal here, and I would love to come back for dinner sometime! :)

Nice place with a wide variety of beer and wine. Service could be better though! I had to fetch people myself a few times. They seem to think you are provided with a card and can arrange your own drinks.

Always nice to come. But it is time for a change! Exactly the same beers as a month ago.

Very sad how this place has changed. Before it was very delicious, fast service, good food and price. Now everything become more expensive, you can’t find people to make the order (you can’t order at the table anymore by QR code) and they also never come to check. It was fun, bcs today we sat for 1.5h before someone come to us to ask if we want any food. lol no, we went to Dudok for lunch. Very very sad, but I think this place will close soon, because I don’t think they are gonna fix themself.

The quality of the food and everything seems to be really going downhill lately. Taps that are empty and aren't refilled even when you ask. Food is more expensive and less tasty. Too bad, because it used to be a really good place. Been there at least 20+ times. Update 2026: seems to have gotten even worse. Toilets are broken and aren't being repaired. Even fewer beer labels on the walls and the QR codes have disappeared from the tables. After 1.5 hours (!!) someone came to our table asking if we wanted to order anything. No thanks, I'll go somewhere else.

Super relaxed place, good food, and a laid-back atmosphere. There's really nothing but good to say. We're here once a year for work and always come back. But removing the ribs from the menu is unacceptable. I can't understand how you could simply take such a perfect dish off the menu. That's a big thumbs down!

I used to think it was a fantastic place, ideal for groups because everyone could get their own drink or order and pay directly via the QR code. They recently changed this; ordering via QR code is no longer possible. The menu has also changed, a huge step backward. It's more expensive, and the menu no longer labels what is vegetarian and vegan, and there isn't a single vegan dinner option left (not even after asking the kitchen), and this in 2026. It's a shame, because it's a fun concept with the self-tapping beer and the wide selection, but next time I'm going somewhere else because there are plenty of other nice places in Arnhem with good service and tasty vegan food.

I've been there four times now. The first two times, my drinks got spilled on me, which can happen, of course, but there was no compensation or offer of any kind. The next few times, it took at least half an hour for someone to come to us. The food and drinks arrived quickly, but after that, it took almost an hour before we finally got the attention of a staff member. They used to have QR codes, which worked really well; it's a shame they're gone! The food and drinks are really good, though!

The service was great, when the showed up… which was slow and inconsistent to order, but the kitchen was efficient. The food made our parties stomach hurt and very greasy. Although, the space itself is very cool, but very few people.

Great place, but absolutely ridiculous that the restrooms have been unusable for two weeks, and especially that the door is open without privacy screens. This should be handled properly in a restaurant of this size; it's remarkable that this isn't a priority.

I've been coming here for ages. They always had a QR code on the table. Unfortunately, it's gone now... Now you have to wait for someone to come to your table, which can take a while. And you can no longer see pictures of your order. That whole QR code thing was really handy and a big plus for why I came here... such a shame. After waiting 25 minutes for someone to come, we went to Cafe Arnhem.

Great idea; tap your own beer! It's a shame there was a great offer, but we got there at 2:30 and it didn't start until 3:00 (which wasn't mentioned anywhere...). So we didn't get the offer. ☹️

Het Taphuis. What a great experience with so many beers and wines. And the self-serve taps are fantastic.

The "crunchy chicken" (supposed to be chicken fillet according to the menu) is a fried, crispy chicken schnitzel. We paid 18 euros for it. No one came by to ask if everything was to our liking. After half an hour, we beckoned to pay ourselves. With our plates still full, we were asked if everything had been to our liking. We said no, not really. "That'll be 50 euros, please." No response or solution whatsoever from the restaurant. No one came to our table during this time. The service was downright terrible, and apparently, the food was as well.

No evening is an evening with Menno. I love him. I'm marrying him. Mennos owns a taphouse, and that's how he found my happiness again. At least a $1,000 bonus or five beers to Menno! <3

Het Taphuys is a well-known name in Arnhem. This was confirmed this time by the man who served us, Menno. We asked Menno if he had any Jager Bombs, and he served them with great haste. Menno also filed my 2025 tax return and saved me over €2500. In short, Het Taphuys is good, but Menno is better <3

Ordering and payment are no longer done via QR code, but via table service. The shared dining concept with smaller portions has also been changed to include appetizers, main courses, and desserts.

i came by for some casual drinks with a friend, the drinks were amazing, but the best thing was polina. the sweetest bartender ever, gave us the best suggestions ever and the drinks were wonderful, 10/10 experience and i would recommend this place to anybody looking for an amazing night!

Located in a beautiful building, the old post office in Arnhem. The beer wall offers a variety of draft beers. Lunch was excellent.

Unfortunately, the music was way too loud, making it impossible to hear each other. It's a shame, because we would have loved to stay longer.

Poor service. Lots of dirty tables. The order took a long time to arrive and was delivered incorrectly twice. We left after one drink and a 45-minute wait, hungry.

The food wasn't cooked properly. We were told it would be returned to the kitchen. This didn't happen, and we were charged the full price. No apology, nothing. Moreover, no one came to the table to collect plates and/or glasses in three hours. Terrible service.

A really good and cozy beer cafe. They also have other drinks on the menu, of course, but they have a wide variety of beers. I think it's a great concept.

A great concept: pouring your own beer to enjoy with your family and/or friends. You get a tappas (not tapas), add credit to it, and start pouring. The beers are relatively expensive, and you have to serve yourself. That makes it less inviting to go there. Such a shame. By the way, you're not required to pour yourself; there are staff walking around where you can order food and drinks.

After we'd all had lunch and drinks, my two kids asked for another glass of water. The waiter insisted it was Sourcy. We couldn't pay cash either. The bill was €130. It was all very mediocre.

Don't go there for lunch. You pay €13.50 for a mini carpaccio sandwich, and it wasn't even good: a little mayonnaise, very little carpaccio, and a few olives. Very disappointing. It's a shame, because the sandwiches used to be tastier and bigger.

It was a bit disappointing. Ordering was a bit cumbersome. We had to use a QR code, but the table next to us did get service. The next time I ordered, I had to think about what I wanted, but my table companion ordered something. That went wrong. His didn't arrive. Because it took a long time, I ordered using the QR code. It was a complete confusion. I don't find much choice in the beer menu. I don't know about the draft menu, but you get no explanation even if you say you're here first. All in all, it was disappointing.

Great place, food (and price) is okay for such a place. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side. However, the music is simply way too loud, and if you drink wine, you have to ask twice to replace the empty bottle, and in the end, you're left with nothing because they either don't have the time or aren't in the mood. Trying to order via a worn-out QR code on the table is also a challenge, but they also have a menu, and that's how it should be! So, it's not my kind of place, but the presence of my awesome colleagues makes up for it.

The only thing I didn't like was the DJ.

We both ordered a sandwich: one with goat cheese and one with salmon. When the sandwiches were served, I fell off my chair... It looked like a sandwich made by a toddler!!! There was almost nothing on either sandwich... and then they charged €9.50 and €13.50... I was stunned... and so was my girlfriend... And the sandwich was smaller than an average bun/roll.

The new carpaccio sandwich is truly awful. €13.50 for a sandwich the size of a Kaiser roll, with one side filled with carpaccio, and you're constantly cleaning out the grease. Incidentally, the menu doesn't mention that it's been updated.
