Delicious food with small dishes.

Yesterday we went to eat at t Zusje. There was a new menu and it was disappointing. The nachos were not tasty and we returned them. The Mars mousse de luxe was no longer a mousse, but a solid mass and less tasty than before. The pork belly was cold, and I could go on and on. We also discussed this with the wait staff. We left disappointed.

It is a very nice and good place to eat. If you come up short there, it is your own fault.

It's really chill to eat Burgundian tapas here, but sometimes you really have to wait dozens of minutes until someone serves you. Most people also recommend coming on a busy day, because somehow they work a bit faster then than on a quiet day.

Went out to eat here with my girlfriend; what terrible service. Received 4 rounds of food in 3 hours. The most unfortunate thing is that my girlfriend vomited all night due to food poisoning. The restaurant was nicely decorated, though.

We had a lovely evening at 'Het Zusje' in Doetinchem. We were served very well and kindly by our hostess Sterre. We have eaten here several times, with and without children, and the food was delicious every single time. It is very nice that they have included drawings on the children's menu that the children can color during the meal, and then receive a bag of candy at the end of the meal because they colored in the drawing. Highly recommended for dining.

WHEN we go out for dinner together—and that isn't often—we go to 't Zusje in Doetinchem to enjoy ourselves. I had reserved a table by the window in advance for 5:30 PM. At that time, I always find it still quiet. Later, the peace was gone. Jesse was our host. A top-notch host, and the service was just as good! It was scorching hot on Thursday, June 25, 2026 (my husband's birthday; he is really retiring now, having turned 67). Upon entering, it was pleasant to be there thanks to the air conditioning being on. We, and we saw the other guests as well, received a delicious, refreshing free drink from 7Up with a scoop of ice and something else in it... wonderfully refreshing, and thank you again! The dishes on the menu are truly delectable again 😋 and are presented very beautifully, so hats off to the chef(s) too! Unfortunately, I cannot add photos, because on an evening like this, we just want to enjoy the atmosphere, the delicious food, and our conversations. So until next time👋🏻🌹👌🏻😋

We spent a wonderful, long evening at 't Zusje Doetinchem. The staff were very friendly, bickering collegially behind the bar. This provided some laughs at our table. The service was very cooperative and helpful throughout our entire stay. The variety of food was excellent. The food itself was of good quality and well prepared. Parking is a bit further away, but that short walk is actually quite pleasant. 't Zusje Doetinchem is highly recommended.

The tapas were delicious, but the service is far too slow. We sat for three and a half hours and were only able to order four times. Even asking for the bill took a very long time. I really don't understand why.

We had a tasty meal, although I miss refinement and balance in the dishes. It is all a bit rough and basic. The service was okay, but the young man who brought the dishes certainly still lacks a bit of the tricks of good hospitality.

'T Zusje, always good. Unfortunately, not now. The menu has been updated. It's a shame that so many dishes are no longer on it. It feels like less choice; naturally, new dishes have been added, but I get the impression that the menu has become smaller. My "own" classics have either been modified or wiped off the menu.

It took an incredibly long time for the food to be served, and tables were piled high with plates that weren't cleared until very late. And this despite the fact that we arrived on a Monday evening and the entire ground floor was empty. The food was fine, though occasionally a bit on the cold side.

Unfortunately, very slow service; had to wait a really long time for every round.

We were warmly welcomed by Rien, who was waiting for us at the door. We got a nice table in the corner with a view of the restaurant. The dishes are just slightly larger than before, and the menu has also been updated. We had a delicious meal and sat at our leisure, no rush... the classics like carpaccio, nachos, and of course the Bastogne dessert and the Sjoom are still delicious. All in all, we had a fantastic evening. Thanks, Rien and colleagues!!!!

There were seven of us for a 50th birthday celebration, and we had a nice spot in the old kitchen. Later in the evening, it felt quite a bit more like the eighties there than at the beginning of the night. The food was good, and the service was polite and good. I was with a somewhat older person with a worn-out hip, and the toilet was downstairs. But walking downstairs every time was too far for them. The waitress even had a solution for that. So, a nice, pleasant evening.

We dined with a group of 8 people on Saturday evening. The welcome was cold and impersonal. The quality of the food is average, while 't Zusje presents itself as above average. That was a shame. The service was a bit curt and uninvolved. It felt to us like we were just a number. All in all, there are several things that could be improved. 't Zusje has a reputation as an above-average restaurant with an eye for its guests. It does not live up to that. We were somewhat disappointed.

We had dinner at Bij Het Zusje, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. It took ages for the dishes to arrive, and a few things didn't even arrive at all. The dessert was served cold, and there was a black hair in my soup, which is absolutely unacceptable. The portion of meat was very small, and not everything tasted great. Furthermore, they started cleaning up while we were still finishing our rounds. We were also seated in a rather unusual spot, almost as if we were in the kitchen. It was also clear that the staff was a bit fed up. It's a shame, because we expected more.

The restaurant has a very atmospheric ambience. The portions are small, but you can eat your fill without overeating. The service was friendly. The only issue was some inconsistencies in filling out the order form, because during our first visit we were able to order all the dishes at once. During our second visit, we had to order in batches. This caused us some confusion and embarrassment. Despite everything, I recommend it.

We had a great company outing with 11 people. The table was cleverly divided into two due to the large order. Our kids, aged 10 and 12, also had a great time. We enjoyed the food and drinks. It was very pleasant and well-organized.

A weekday evening, a different table, and discussing it beforehand. It's great that they're thinking along with me.

We were helped by Myrthe, on her last night. She's going to work in elderly care, and they'll be so happy to have her there! Attentive, helpful, good advice (Sjoom), assertive, and, very importantly, humorous. Thanks for the wonderful evening, and best of luck!

The food was fine. We found the service less so. Yes, it was busy, but that's how it's designed. There was hardly any clearing of dishes, and there was usually at least 30 minutes between courses, often longer. Luckily, we had a good time, but still.

We went here for the first and last time last Friday. We were there from 6 to 10 and had maybe six rounds of food. It took an awfully long time to get our food. Dishes were forgotten or never brought. I ordered fries with peanut sauce four times and never got them. I also thought the portions were really small for tapas. I ordered chicken satay and got one piece of chicken in a container. We went home hungry. We still had plates from three rounds left on our table, but they never came. I advise everyone against going here! Unfriendly staff!

We ate at 't zus last year and really enjoyed it, so we made a reservation here again this time. Unfortunately, yesterday's experience was completely different. It took ages to get our first dish, which was thrown on the table by unintelligible staff. Around us, we also saw many people waiting at empty tables. The food was unfortunately disappointing compared to last time. The pork belly was delicious, but probably almost gone, as it was such a small piece (2 cm) that the plate had to be filled with a spring roll. Our conclusion: you go out for dinner for a fun evening, and the food, the experience itself, should enhance the atmosphere. This time, we did our best not to let the experience spoil our evening. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

The first impression was good; it looks cozy. The first round of food arrived quickly. After that, it took quite a while, which wouldn't have been so bad if the food were delicious. We were a bit disappointed. Everything tasted pretty much the same, as if the same spices and sauces were always used. Some dishes were very bland. There was no salt or pepper on the table, which was a real shame. You won't see us back here anytime soon. The benches could also be a bit more comfortable.

We ate with 12 people. It took quite a while between rounds of tapas. The food was good, as was the service. A mistake was immediately corrected.

For my mother's birthday, twelve of us went to dinner at 't Zusje in Doetinchem. We really enjoyed it. The table was divided into two so that six people could order dishes. The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. The wait times between courses were also reasonable. We had a wonderful evening with delicious food. The only downside was that there were city festivals, and early in the evening the music outside was very loud, which echoed inside. This wasn't the restaurant's fault, but that's why I've deducted one star for atmosphere.

Everything took ages. Long waits for drinks, menus, and food. Every order was missing or incorrect. The food was fine, not spectacular, but that's not necessary with this concept. The atmosphere is also great. I hope this was a one-off due to staff shortages or something. But it will be a while before we try again.

Never again. We waited over 45 minutes for our starter. Then we waited another half hour for the next course. Even when only two tables were occupied, we left after over half an hour and didn't wait for our ice cream. We went home with a half-full stomach and feeling unsatisfied. The little we did eat was good. But you won't see us there again.

The food was otherwise fine. It was what we expect from a sister restaurant. However, there were quite a few dishes that we weren't always informed about. The service was absolutely not what we expect from a sister restaurant. No bread was offered. After the first round of drinks, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else. The time between rounds was at least 45 minutes. It often took at least 20 to 30 minutes for the note to be brought back. We had to ask several times to clear the table. The ladies taking orders, in particular, were often nowhere to be seen for extended periods of time or stood chatting/waiting at the bar. These ladies certainly didn't clean up. After reporting all this, my husband asked after 30 minutes what they were planning to do about it. We eventually received financial compensation after walking to the bar ourselves. But we didn't feel heard.

We had a reservation here at 5:00 PM, with apparently a lot more people who hadn't been anticipated. Unfortunately, after half an hour of watching, we decided to leave. No one had come to ask us for drinks, let alone explain the concept. It was a shame for the one waitress who was walking around and apparently had to cater to the entire restaurant, but we decided to leave on an empty stomach.

We wanted to eat tapas today and stumbled upon this restaurant! The terrace was empty, and there were plenty of free seats inside as well. We are German citizens on vacation in the Netherlands. Upon arrival, we were kindly informed that the restaurant was fully booked. We inquired about this, both inside and outside. We could hardly believe this, as no one was sitting outside. But even after asking again, we were turned away. We then sat in the restaurant next door and couldn't find any seats at the Zusje that evening. Despite our vacation, we dressed up and had a very respectable appearance. This rejection must have something to do with our background (German language) or our 5-year-old son. In fact, I have never been turned down like this in my life, and I am shocked. This photo was taken two hours after our inquiry.

Pleasant atmosphere, tasty dishes.

The first round of food was fine. There was very little, for example, the so-called spareribs were two small pieces of meat with a lot of sauce. The second round was terrible. First, we waited 45 minutes for a couple of ice creams, then we asked if they were being made or if something was wrong. She said they were working on it. After an hour, we asked again, and she said she'd enter it into the machine again, but we didn't want to and wanted to leave. We asked for the bill, and it showed we were still charged for the ice creams we never received. We said "diet," and she took it off, and we left.

Went to 't Zusje for dinner in Doetinchem for the first time. The manager gave us a fantastic welcome and was incredibly helpful and looked after us all evening! However, when I went to the restroom, I heard the owner (?) talking to the manager... disgusting! There was a very unpleasant atmosphere the entire time this gentleman was there. It was also noticeable how this gentleman interfered with the staff's work, which he then made three mistakes himself. What I found most peculiar was how he started helping out with the service. He wasn't wearing work clothes and kept walking around with some kind of ridiculous headset, trying to be interesting. The food was mediocre and there was very little of it. The service staff, including the manager, of course, looked after us exceptionally well! Unfortunately, we've decided not to spend our money there again. We also advise the staff to find employment elsewhere, where respect is highly valued.
