Terrible experience. The staff were extremely rude and kept shouting at customers instead of speaking . She charged 3 more euro on the bill. When we want to check, she is very angry. Completely ruined the meal. Will not return.

A restaurant with personality and incredible food

We had a very unpleasant experience at this Thai restaurant. The service attitude was extremely poor. When preparing our cutlery, the staff made a lot of unnecessary noise and handled things very roughly, which felt disrespectful. There were three of us, and we simply moved one extra chair to the side, yet we were scolded for it. At checkout, the bill was 57, but we were told to pay 60, and the staff shouted at us loudly and aggressively. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that we clearly saw the staff being very friendly to other customers, while treating us very differently. We couldn’t help but wonder if this was because we are Chinese. The treatment felt unfriendly and unfair. I hope the restaurant can reflect on their customer service and treat every guest with the same level of respect.

We had dinner here tonight and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The older female staff member who served us was extremely rude and spoke to us with obvious impatience and hostility. At first, I thought it might just be her manner of speaking, but shortly afterwards two other customers came to pick up their food and she spoke to them in a very gentle and friendly way. This made us feel clearly disrespected. The most upsetting part was at checkout. She calculated the bill incorrectly and overcharged us by €3. When we politely questioned the amount, she raised her voice at us and accused us of questioning her integrity. In the end, it turned out that she had indeed made a mistake. Instead of apologizing, she remained aggressive. When we asked if she could improve her attitude, she told us to leave and said she didn’t care whether we would ever come back. On top of that, the food did not feel clean or fresh. After the meal, I experienced stomach discomfort. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, mainly due to the service. We will not be returning.

The owner was very angry and racist even tho she’s the minority herself, weird. My friend had a panic attack afterwards.

We had a truly delicious meal here! It's a small restaurant with three tables, and takeout is also available. The food is fantastic, and the lady who runs it is very friendly. The menu is well-designed, with real photos of the food. Dishes are fresh and prepared on-site.

The owner is friendly and enthusiastic. Her English was not that good but still she tried her best to accommodate us. I’m Asian so the food was a bit salty to me but to my friend (Hungarian) they were perfectly seasoning. Their dish varies from 15-18e/plate, rice was already included and we also got a free refill. If you go with a table for 2 like us 2-3 dishes are good enough in my opinion. Minus point for me: The menu was only in Dutch and doesn’t have specifications about the ingredients or flavor so if you are not familiar with Thai food you should ask for more details. They only indicated beef/chicken/pork and the price. In general I like it and I’ll comeback :)

We visited the restaurant twice. The food was amazing. Delicious, hot, and quickly prepared. The owner is a wonderful person, easy to talk to, very kind, and funny. We highly recommend visiting this restaurant, it’s clean, authentic, and you can tell the chef puts their whole heart into it. Yesterday I ate at this restaurant for the second time. The first time, the food was delicious, so we returned. The second time, the food wasn't as good. And yesterday, I had a bad experience. The owner/waitress was very unfriendly, I'd even call it rude. There were three of us and we ordered three different dishes. All three were overly sweet. I'm Asian and I love Thai food. I cook Thai food at home occasionally and I often go to Thai restaurants in the Netherlands and around the world. I've even been to Thailand five times. I know exactly how the dishes should taste. I told the owner, who was also the waiter, that our dishes were too sweet. She immediately got angry at me and yelled at me. She then said to me in a loud, raised voice, in her broken Dutch, with an angry expression on her face, "I made the food myself! Don't you nonsense!" I and other guests were shocked by what we heard. She then paced back and forth grumbling, while simultaneously helping another guest with their orders. I was completely silent and devastated. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The other guests couldn't understand what they were hearing either. The guest at the next table then told her, "Calm down!" And she continued grumbling. She said, "I can be calm with you, but not with someone who says my food isn't good." 😇 Out of politeness, I didn't do or say anything else to maintain a good atmosphere. The guests at the next table and I looked at each other, wondering, and didn't understand what was happening. I felt terrible myself. I thought if I reacted to her then, she would get even angrier and escalate. I think she's that type. That's why I didn't say anything. It stuck in my mind at that moment. I'll never come back here again...

Really like in Thailand, Delicious meals one by one! We go every month, take-away is also possible, nice if you don't feel like cooking and want to eat something tasty and healthy.

Wow, wow, wow, and another wow for good measure. I have found my new favourite spot. Unfortunately I was so preoccupied with eating that I forgot to snap a picture for my review so you’ll just have to trust. The food here is absolutely incredible, balanced, FULL of flavour and simply unmatched in my opinion. Don’t listen to other reviews complaining about service, you are going to a Thai restaurant, you are getting Thai treatment. Be not afraid + it’s free entertainment. I had the Tom Yam Kai, the best soup I ever had. And also the Panaeng Kai, I don’t even have the words to describe how good it is… you’ll have to experience yourself. Being there waiting for my food by itself absolutely made my day and I will 100% be back for the rest of the menu. Come get you some good food and enjoy the beautiful chaos that is Teppratanporn. 11/10⭐️

This is authentic Thai food. Small place, fluorescent tubes, not good decoration according to Dutch standards...but then comes the food 😍😍😍😍. And the icing on the cake is the owner who doesn't mince her words. Delicious place!!!

Food might be amazing. We never got to try the food, however, since a staff member started to shout at us directly when entering 'no reservation, no space' or something alike and looked like they wanted us out as quickly as possible. You could've also just said: I'm sorry we're fully booked. Both me and my friend were flabbergasted by this reaction. Hopefully you learn from it. Edit 04/2025: Did go back after the previous experience. Food was very authentic. The red curry was the best I had in years! The chef/owner is very special and has a very loud voice, but don't think she means any harm. All in all it was quite the experience, try it out for yourself. Price-quality ratio is really good!

Fantastic place, the great rating is no accident. Traditional Thai flavors, the food is impeccable, the pad thai is incredibly delicious. The lady is very cute and funny, hats off to her for running the whole restaurant by herself. I visited the restaurant for the first time in June. Then I returned to Rotterdam in October and knew I had to go to this fantastic pad thai again. I traveled half an hour across town, but it was totally worth it. 😊

Had dinner here last night before going to a show at Theater de Schie. The 2 of us had reserved a table just to be sure. Reception was fine. It is a small shop but very atmospheric and full of Thai atmosphere. As a starter we had the Tom Kai soup with chicken and spring rolls. These were both really delicious! As a main course we had the Pad Thai and the Nasi chicken. Lots of it and soooo tasty! We took it home with us because we couldn't finish it. The owner runs her business with her heart and makes you feel welcome. We hope to go to Thailand for the first time this year and she gave us tips and was willing to provide detailed explanations. Then new customers came in and she had to move on. This is really a gem in Schiedam. Do you want fresh, good and delicious Thai food? Go here!! We will definitely come back! We ate here with three people on December 12, 2024. The food was really delicious!!! Each dish is prepared fresh per portion, nothing from large pans that have been ready for ages! We each had a different dish so we could taste each other. The chicken with cashew nuts was my favorite. Really authentic Thai flavours. The owner is a very enthusiastic woman who serves cheerfully and explains what it is all about. Too bad we live 240km from Schiedam, but otherwise we would come back here very regularly. What a great tent! Came here for a quick bite to eat after a performance at the Schie theater and ended up having a hectic birthday party with an owner who wanted to take a picture with us to hang on the wall! But above all, a super delicious meal!

Authentic Thai food. The lady who runs the place is very chatty and funny. She is also very sincere: we wanted to order more food but she said it would be too much, and when we tried to order “spicy food” she recommended less chillies (which was a great call). People seem to come here for take away more often than sitting down, so the restaurant does have that take away vibe. Nonetheless, the food tasted amazing! The lady also seemed super happy and grateful to hear that.

It is absolutely perfect and delicious. But if you prefer not spicy - just ask and your meal will be not so hot. Highly recommend.

Sadly i didnt took more pictures (and better) of the other dishes we ordered but the food was delicious. We went on a monday and there was just the owner working. She was hilarious but also kind. Most thai food is supposed to be spicy, however since our spice tolerance is low, she adjusted the spice level for us 😂 Would definetly come back here again. Everything is super affordable, a bang for your buck! We ordered the springrolls, fish cake, pad thai chicken, chicken sate, a green curry with rice and tom kha kai.

Got food for the first time today. The chef / owner showed us that all dishes are made fresh and immediately - nothing is prepared. We ordered five dishes (2 soups, 2 salads and a phad thai) and everything tasted wonderful. Definitely recommended and we will definitely come back!

Look, the owner is Thai and you notice that: she is direct and can come across as blunt. But man, she can cook. I also enjoyed the direct interaction with guests, playful and occasionally mocking with a wink. All in all, fun (provided you don't take yourself so seriously) and delicious food. Best Pad Thai I have eaten outside Thailand and better than many in Thailand!

Really freshly made 3 minutes. Top top company and surefire for Schiedam 10 stars as I know. Would be nice with soft music on

I ordered the phad ped and asked for tofu which is easy. Perfectly spicy with coconut cream. It's so good! Owner lady is very nice And caring too.

Delicious food and perfect portion sizes for a nice price. The entire restaurant is run by the owner (I think?), who is kind but very busy (stressed?) with running the restaurant. During our time here, half a dozen of people came in who all seemed to be locals that frequented the place and visibly cared about the owner and the restaurant. This says something about the service and friendliness of the owner. :)
