Thai Lounge in Bussum Centrum

Honest and delicious Thai food. Mama Thai in the kitchen, ruling her pots and pans. Fantastic curries, chicken dishes, beautiful satay... fantastic... Keep it up, dear people.

This week, I ordered three different dishes, specifying whether I wanted a medium or large quantity and, of course, the desired spice level. The quality, taste, and quantity of all three dishes were disappointing. The vegetables in the dishes were likely bought at the local supermarket, as there weren't many typical Thai vegetables and herbs you'd normally expect. As a result, the taste of two of the three dishes was somewhat disappointing. Even though we specified very spicy dishes when ordering, they weren't spicy at all. And then there were the quantities: a medium quantity is simply too little. If one person is very hungry, that's simply not enough. The large option is a normal quantity but, of course, costs a few euros extra. The rice provided with each dish is also rather meager, giving the impression that the dishes have to be as inexpensive as possible. All in all, not a particularly good culinary experience, and I didn't want more. The owner's standard (emotional) response is to contact them if something isn't right. My observations are echoed in several other reviews, so it shouldn't come as a surprise.

Beautiful and authentic Thai restaurant. Friendly staff and excellent service after a business meeting with Rafaelektra. We had a great work meeting with RVSKeuken and Rafaelektra, and perfect results were achieved. It was wonderful to finish with a delicious Thai meal: green curry, satay, and rice dishes.

Fantastic experience – delicious food and top-notch service! What a wonderful experience! The food was truly delicious – everything perfectly prepared and super fresh. What immediately struck me was how well-organized everything was: several staff members brought the food to our table simultaneously, so everyone could start at the same time. Truly fantastic! And what I also really appreciated: we were offered free water without having to ask. You don't see that very often anymore! The staff was so friendly and attentive. Everyone was super nice, and you could really chat with them. They took their time with us and made us feel more than welcome. You don't often encounter such a warm atmosphere. Just picked up food from this Thai again. The food is delicious again and because everything is freshly prepared, they have also taken our complicated list of allergies into account. Top!

Food was disappointing although the price is not low. Decor cheap but appropriate for a family restaurant.

Due to the award Thai select, high expectations, not met at all, chicken wings cooked instead of crispy, red curry was watery, tough beef, few crispy vegetables, 3 spicy peppers??? Stir-fried vegetables with oyster sauce, lots of limp cabbage, no broccoli, 1 pod, 1 oyster mushroom, not crispy, not Thai worthy. Definitely not worth the money €47.25 for 2 people. Only the temperature and the fish cakes were okay.

The food was delicious, portions being just perfect to fill an adult’s stomach. The place itself was nice despite being on the small side. But what sets this restaurant above others, is the quality of the service. The staff feels so sincerely happy that the good mood is contagious. And on top of that, I happened to forget my bag in the restaurant when we were leaving. The waitress then ran a couple of hundred meters after us on the street to bring my belongings to me. This is what true dedication to customer service means! Thank you!

Very disappointed . Ordered red curry with beef, green curry with chicken and chicken satay. Few vegetables, watery, little taste of real Thai cuisine. We won't be back.

Had a delicious meal here on August 30. Very good and friendly service. Give good advice about what you want to eat. Due to the birthday of one of us, dessert was offered to us. Without a doubt a good restaurant where we will definitely return.

We think this restaurant is really good, the food is really like in Thailand, the environment of the restaurant also reminds us of Thailand, they also have nice Thai music. The service is very friendly and if she has a moment, the chef will also come to your table for a little chat or she will bring the food. It is certainly not a hip, modern restaurant, but that is what we like about this restaurant. Everything is only prepared when you order it, so it may take a while before you receive your food, but it will be freshly prepared and taste great. Just try the Thai fish cakes, they are really delicious. What's also nice is that you get an appetizer on the house and they are always very tasty.

Small restaurant at one of the main streets of Bussum. Family business with a friendly and homey atmosphere. Small with about 5-6 tables, with little privacy. The menu changes every now and then to cover another part of Thailand. All dishes can be provided vegetarian or vegan. You pick s dish and select the protein option to your taste with it. Prices at the higher end, especially for the drinks. Dishes are nice, fresh veggies,but not extraordinary in term of taste or special Thai.

2e Pinksterdag hier met 4 personen heerlijk gegeten tegen echt nog betaalbare prijzen. Ontvangst en bediening is zoals het hoort. Eigenaresse /kok komt geïnteresseerd vragen of alles naar wens was. Deze Thai is zeer aan te bevelen, maar wel van te voren af spraak maken via hun site of telefonisch.

Tonight we ate at the Thai Lounge for the second time. Menu not very extensive, but sufficient choice. The food tastes really great and the portions are generous. Owners very hospitable.

The pad thai had no taste, it was more like boiled loose noodles. Also a pity that there was no option to order white rice. The rice had a few hard white clumps of rice. All in all a disappointment.

Amazing Thai food, the fish cakes and green curry sent me right back to Bangkok. Cannot wait to next time!

Indeed, as more people have said, atmosphere that corresponds to a Thai restaurant there. And the menu is indeed not large, but it is very good. That's actually the most important thing, so that's fine. By invitation I was invited to join a group of volunteers, which was very enjoyable. Ladies were also very sweet to us.

I have previously had take-away and after tasting it I decided to enjoy the food in the restaurant itself. Not only is the (homemade) food delicious and authentic, the atmosphere is just as pleasant and relaxed. The service and friendliness is also excellent, they try to give every guest enough attention. Then I haven't even mentioned the delicious homemade desserts. Must try, and we will definitely come back here more often.

Well. This store will be closing very soon. It's too busy and they clearly can't handle that. It took us 3 hours, and the kitchen chairs you sit on don't really make you happy. The taste of the food is 100% adapted to the Dutch taste and certainly not authentic. You can make the food spicy by adding sambal yourself; like you're at the local Chinese restaurant. If, to top it all off, the owner gives himself a tip by assuming that he can keep the change, we are pretty much done with it. Too bad, because good Thai restaurants are few and far between.

Delicious Thai to take away. The only point for improvement is the packaging, those containers could really be nicer (black for example) and sturdier.

Super tasty food, they cook with love. The atmosphere is just like in Thailand. If you have been to Thailand you will understand the atmosphere. I actually don't understand why the restaurant is packed! The menu is not really large, but excellent choices. You can enjoy delicious Thai food in this restaurant, highly recommended.

Voor de eerste keer eten besteld bij Thailounge. Kaen kie waan, groene curry. Portie: redelijk Voedzaam: goed Pittigheid: medium aangegeven, minder dan medium. Smaak: bijzonder, niet verkeerd maar ik miste de Thaise smaak. De lemongrass en de zo typische eggplant ontbraken in het eten. Wellicht dat deze opmerking als verbetersuggestie kan worden meegenomen.

Echt heel smaakvolle gerechten!

Verre weg het beste Thaise eten wat ik gegeten heb! De gezellig lieve familie die het restaurant runnen maken het een een ervaring om niet te vergeten. Vega? Geen probleem! Lactosevrij? Geen probleem! Glutenvrij? Geen probleem!

Wat een fijn klein restaurant. Aanwinst voor Bussum. Alles vers en zelf gemaakt door echte Thaise koks. Hele fijne mensen die je een huiselijk gevoel geven en waar de echte Thaise smaken worden geserveerd. Wens hun heel veel succes en plezier met hun nieuwe restaurant! Even een aanvullend bericht. Nu ook echt heel lekker lunch gegeten bij de thai lounge. Ook weer alles super vers en goed op smaak. Meerdere gerechten van de kaart geprobeerd en ik heb echt genoten.

Ik heb hier pad thai afgehaald. Helaas was dit niet wat we er van hadden verwacht. In alle eerlijkheid had het niets met goede pad thai te maken.

Een echt Thais restaurantje, in dezelfde eenvoud als authentieke restaurants in Thailand zelf, zodat je je ook echt in Thaise sferen bevind. En echte authentieke Thaise smaken. We hadden het 5-gangen Lounge menu met een selectie gerechtjes uit Zuid Thailand. Hier worden de gerechten met passie en liefde bereid. Thai Lounge is recent geopend, en ze bewijzen zich nu al. Jerry en Laddah en hun kinderen voelen zich als een vis in het water in hun nieuwe restaurant, en we wensen jullie veel succes en een mooie toekomst.

Ties v/d Borg heeft gelijk. Pad Thai heeft geen smaak en de kipsaté was veel te zoutig bovendien was de kip koud en slap.

Heerlijke rode curry gegeten, echt mega smakelijk. En snel klaar, ook fijn.

Curry en roerbak gerecht best lekker van smaak, maar veel teveel blokken tofu en weinig groente. Tofu wat papperig. Gebakken rijst en Mie echt slecht, papperig en niet lekker van smaak. Lijkt opgewarmd in de magnetron. Teveel betaald voor dit eten.

Al eens genoten van een afhaalmaaltijden van hen, maar nu in het restaurant gegeten. Echt een familiebedrijf en personeel is meer dan vriendelijk, vrolijk en behulpzaam en geeft graag uitleg over de gerechten. Wij hadden een driegangen-menu en dat was voor ons ruim voldoende. Ook handig dat je op een (kleur)schaal aan kan geven hoe heet/pittig je je eten wil hebben. Regelmatig hebben ze een thema-avond zoals bv vega of koolhydraatarm. Al met al zeker een aanrader!

Gisteren met familie gegeten. Heerlijke gerechten. Vriendelijke bediening. Tip: de aankleding wat leuker maken met platen van Thailand. Als je nu naar binnen kijkt, heeft het de uitstraling van een cafetaria en dat is jammer. Eenmaal binnen is het gezellig door de vriendelijke ontvangst.

Vandaag aan het werk geweest bij Thai lounge voor het plaatsen van de airconditioning in de keuken. Deze mensen zijn hard aan het werk de hele dag. Ik heb dat mogen ervaren. Een hecht familie bedrijf. Nog nooit Thai’s gegeten.. maar door de vriendelijkheid en de sfeer tog wat meegenomen om te proberen.. heerlijk gegeten!! Vers smaakvol echt een aanrader ! Het hele gezin lekker gegeten Ik zou zeggen ga het ervaren.. ik kom zeker weer terug!

Aardige mensen. Eten prima, maar afhaal service duurt een uur. Terwijl de kaart voor afhaal beperkt is en het tegelijkertijd in restaurant niet druk is. Hoop dat ze dat snel verbeteren….

Wat een feestje om hier Thai te halen. Een feest van herkenning als je ooit in Thailand bent geweest. De volle smaken van de verschillende ingrediënten zorgen ervoor dat je weer even kan wegdromen 👌 Wij hadden de Tom kha Kai, Padthai, massaman curry en spicy mango salade.

De soep wordt zelfs elke week lekkerder, een feest voor de smaak pappillen! ❤️

Lekker gegeten. Eten was goed op smaak en vers bereid. Het hoofdgerecht was relatief weinig (vergeleken met andere restaurants) voor meer geld. €3,50 bij betalen voor witte rijst vind ik (in elk restaurant) onzin.

Goede smaak, echter: weinig groenten in de pad Thai. 18,50 voor een bal noedels met een lente uitje en verder niets, stelt teleur. Beginners hobbel?

Echt een aanrader om te gaan eten! De gastvrijheid is echt geweldig, een hele lieve familie die dit restaurant runt. Het heerlijke Thaise eten was echt verrukkelijk!

Orgineel thais eten, wat een genot! Goed op smaak, leuk geserveerd door enthousiaste, lieve mensen! Goede parkeergelegenheid. Ervaren koks. Hopelijk binnenkort ook mogelijkheid om af te halen, de loop zat er al vollop in. Reserveren is aan te raden. Voor een echte thaise keuken ga eens langs, je wordt niet teleurgesteld. Producten zijn vers, goed op smaak, naar voorkeur spicy te krijgen.
