The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. When we made our reservation, we asked if we could be a bit late, which would be a problem in many places, but here we were reassured: they would be happy to welcome us. The girl who served us deserves a big compliment! She was friendly and genuinely kind; if we lived nearby, we would become regulars. Definitely.

Absolutely authentic and delicious! The only asian restaurant in Nieuwerkerk worth visiting. The spicy soup was time-bending. Big shrimps as well :D

Small, cozy, intimate. Restaurant is full. Atmosphere is good. Large portions and the service is friendly. Delicious food. I got my money's worth.

There is a certain smell to the food that I don't like. I also experienced this once in another Asian restaurant. Food was always delicious, but perhaps due to the use of different oil. The nasi in particular had that smell. I think that's a shame because smell is also taste...

Ordered takeout for the first time, what a disappointment! We entered through a messy backyard. I ordered Thom ka ka soup, which was full of inedible herbs. I also ordered a chicken dish with oyster sauce, nam man hoy kai, which didn't taste Thai at all. The worst of it all: paying 70 cents for a plastic bag and getting a paper one! I'm never going back here again.

Really tasty food and very helpful friendly waitress! 10 people first day of 2025! We had good time here ! Food was so nice we keep eating and forgot to take pictures from beginning… every dishes was good ! Happy to discover a new Thai restaurant nearby!

We have been here before because we are always helped in a friendly way. The atmosphere is good and the food is excellent. We will definitely come back regularly. Prices are very reasonable.

What a disappointment. The fish was simply not worth the money. Of everything we bought, this was the most expensive and the least tasty. The take-away section is anything but pleasant. Too bad, I had too high expectations for this restaurant.

Been here a few times now. The selection on the menu is sufficient and varied. However, every time we have been there has been something on the menu that is not available. The food is tasty and large portions! Unfortunately, it is not served at once to the entire table if there are more than 2 people. You have to ask yourself to order drinks because the service will not deliver them. All in all, fine but not great.

Strangely enough, the food tastes slightly different and less than our favorite location in Gouda.

Don't go here if you are hungry and think you can eat just before 8pm on a Saturday. Now I know that we eat very early in the Netherlands, but if you can't even eat something at 8 o'clock, it's not good, takeaway was also not possible...

Just like their branch in Gouda. Enjoy the tastiest dishes here again. Highly recommended. We will definitely go there more often.

Ate here last night. Starter for 2 people used to consist of fish cakes, satays, those pouches filled with meat and spring rolls. Now the fish cakes have been replaced by fried shrimp. All very greasy and unappetizing. The satays cannot be compared to the original Thai ones. Even the peanut sauce has little flavor. For the rest of the starters, nothing is homemade. Everything comes from the supermarket or wholesaler. Nothing authentic. Tasteless! The main course: green curry with chicken: very watery, also very little flavor, a can of bamboo shoots thrown in. This dish was also very disappointing. Furthermore, pad thai with shrimp... noodles were hard, not cooked, little taste, enough shrimp and well filled with bean sprouts, tofu and peanuts. But so little taste. Only sweet. Nothing else, tasteless and chew well to get rid of the hard noodles. Then the shrimp in tamarind sauce: again very greasy and so disappointing. No tamarind taste, worthless, tasteless! When the older woman was still the owner, you could eat very good Thai food here. Ever since the new owners got there, it has been sad as far as taste is concerned. I don't understand why they still get high scores. We haven't been here for a long time because the food just isn't good anymore. Yesterday we thought let's try it again given the high scores... Some people don't know what Thai food should taste like. Or they can't cook well themselves. But we won't come here anymore. The one star is for the friendly staff. The food 0 stars.

Quiet restaurant, but some describe it as "cosy"... They'll have to explain that to me again. Service good and friendly, food simple, on the table very quickly and tasty. And that's all true because Thai food is simple and delicious!!! However, where they miss the mark is price/performance. And then a deposit is made stating that everything has become 1 euro more expensive due to increased costs. This is (for me) a typical catering entrepreneur who wants to live just as luxuriously (or better yet) as before the corona era. In other words finally collapsed in terms of price formation. They follow the example of bizarre prices of chip shops. They don't see me anymore.

Very disappointed. We regularly pick up and have been disappointed several times. You think it's a snapshot or our tastes are a bit different today, but yesterday was so bad that I have to write this review. We ate satay and chicken with pepper and garlic, both very dry and tasteless. It tasted like a dish that had been reheated several times. The paneng neua, our favorite, smelled stale and the beef was tough and over-cooked and the quantity was disappointing, rich in sauce but you had to look for the meat. Conclusion: it is no longer a snapshot nor is it up to our taste. The quality is deteriorating in this restaurant and as far as we are concerned, no more chances!

Food ok. Watched it because of good reviews. But the food lacked some spice. Beer at 7.10 for a vase is ridiculously expensive. That's not even a special beer.

Really delicious food. Ordered and shared different starters and main courses together. Wide choice on the menu and dishes with different types of meat available, of course also available with fish or vegetarian. Neatly laid out. Staff very friendly. Recommended.

After ordering here regularly for years, last night was the last time. I don't know if there is a new chef or something else, but the food (both the pad Thai and the red curry) were incredibly sweet! The pad Thai didn't even resemble what it should be and the red curry was almost lemonade, so sweet. Unfortunately. Next time I'll go to another Thai.

A quiet but cozy restaurant - we had made a reservation in advance & received a very friendly welcome. We were allowed to choose a table and were helped quickly and efficiently by the staff. The food was also surprisingly good, after having completely missed the mark twice with Thai food from other places. We ordered some starters and 2 main courses, which turned out to be far too much for 2 people due to the large portions. You definitely get your money's worth here and even more! Authentic food that feels like coming home, compliments again! We will definitely come back

Kabouter ging met buurman Kabouter gewoon eens zomaar naar Thai Restaurant op dorp gelopen. Binnengekomen weinig klanten op de vrijdagavond en samen op een grote tafel plaatsgenomen. Daarna kwam de zelfde vriendelijke jongedame in de bediening op ons af en vroeg wat we wilden drinken en eten. Afijn gezellig borreltje erbij en wat vooraf besteld met extra vis hapje die niet bij vooraf zat. Heerlijke proef gerechten😋😋👍. Vorige keer had Kabouter een zeebaars maar nu een pittig gerecht met eend.🤷‍♂️. Heerlijk en Buurman Kabouter had garnalen. Een gerecht die vorige keer niet voorradig bleek. En na een Grand Marnier en een Irish coffee om te ronden liepen we naar buiten waar ons een ware douche stond te 🌨wachten ☔toen we huiswaars liepen🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️

Ik kwam alleen voor loempia's. In een korte tijd kon ik weer weg met mijn loempia's. 8 voor 15 eur. Dat is aan de hoge kant. Je moet ook 60 cent voor een tasje meerekenen als je gaat afhalen.

Naar aanleiding van onze aankomende vakantie naar Thailand, hier alvast een voorproefje gehad van de waanzinnige Thaise keuken! Wij hebben het personeel verschillende hoofdgerechten laten kiezen die het beste de Thaise keuken omschrijven. Alles was heerlijk! Het personeel is super vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader als je een keer wilt genieten van andere gerechten en smaken als dat je misschien gewend bent. Graag tot een volgende keer!

Super lekker gegeten! Behulpzame bediening. Porties zijn ruim voldoende. Overgebleven eten meegenomen. Hierbij extra rijst gekregen.

Na eerder een bestelling te hebben gedaan nu ook samen met vrienden hier gegeten. Geweldig, heerlijke smaken.

Thai Restaurant Bangkok city bevindt in een klein winkelstraat in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. Het zit in de avond leuk uit het restaurant en binnen heeft wel een aardig inrichting. Binnen zat maar 1 tafel van 2. Voor de rest is het heel erg rustig. Een jonge dame werkt in de bediening. Een Aziatisch man zie ik wel staan binnen in het restaurant maar blijft op de achtergrond. Hoge verwachting vanwege de goede recencies. Echter wel erg tegengevallen. Ik vind het niet op Thais lijken. De tom yam kung is ver van de Thaise smaak de pittige rundvlees met groente en de phad thai met garnalen vind ik wel lekker maar het is een bereiding zoals een normale wok in plaats van een Thais keuken. Wel heel erg jammer ben speciaal gekomen met de gedachte om lekker Thais te eten. Hopelijk kan het een echte Thais restaurant met een thais keuken worden.

Suuuuper lekker eten. De groene curry (allemaal) en pad thai zijn absolute aanraders. Door miscommunicatie ontbrak de witte rijst, na bellen werd het binnen 10 minuten alsnog bezorg. Super, ik ga hier VEEL vaker bestellen.
