Very friendly and cheerful staff. Very hospitable and they really try to make you feel comfortable. Tasty dishes on a nice corner, especially when there is a market.

Update Aug 18, '26: because Blueberry responded with apologies to the review and offered solutions, we decided to give it another try. Imagine my surprise? Everything is still exactly where it was before my complaint. Absolutely NOTHING has been done to resolve this accessibility issue. So who is being fooled now? Original (and first) review. Although The Blueberry is a nice place in itself, the fun has pretty much worn off for me by now. For the past few weeks, I have consistently been unable to get in or out properly with my wheelchair. On the terrace, the tables and chairs are arranged in such a way that there is no longer any passage, even when the terrace is largely empty. Moreover, it clearly appears that this was set up this way by the staff. The entrances are also blocked: at one entrance there is a double table with chairs, and at the other entrance there is a cabinet that is supposed to hold the door open. The result is that I either cannot get inside, or subsequently cannot get out again. As a wheelchair user, that is particularly frustrating and, moreover, simply unacceptable. Additionally, I ordered and paid for a simple coffee, for which I had to wait no less than 20 minutes. After I asked about it, it took another 10 minutes for the coffee to arrive. When it finally arrived, it was lukewarm as well. I find this truly unacceptable, especially when there are only about five tables occupied inside and outside at that moment. I wanted to order lunch afterwards, but ultimately decided against it. It is a real shame, because it is a nice place in itself. But if, as a wheelchair user, you cannot even get in or out properly and then also have to wait so long for a simple coffee, that is unfortunately a missed opportunity for me.

Had high tea here last Saturday. It was so delicious, the atmosphere was good, and the service was pleasant and well-organized!

We had a delicious and cozy high (ice) tea. Because it was incredibly hot on the day we had the high tea, we were allowed to order an ice tea or another cool drink instead of the tea. Such service is really nice. First the tasty savory rolls and then the sweet ones. With freshly baked scones that were still warm from the oven. We enjoyed it immensely.

I've been a few times now, spread over two years. The staff is super friendly every time, the sweets are very tasty, the coffee is good, and you sit outside nice and relaxed on the square.

We had a high tea gift card for 40 euros and bought an additional 12 euros. We received one small plate with one roll, one slice of cake, and one roll baked in cinnamon, all cut in half; half a roll each. One small bowl of egg and a small bowl of fruit. That was it. Everything fit on one plate. My daughter called them afterwards, but even though the waitress found it strange herself, that was the way it was, because she had scanned the gift card and if we didn't agree with it, we had to contact the gift card company. We will not be coming back here.

Last Saturday, we had American tea with 5 people. The snacks were really delicious and quite plentiful. Friendly staff! Great service, everything took place in a relaxed atmosphere. Nice welcome. What was left of the tasty snacks was neatly packed up upon request to take away.

A delicious high tea, there was little to complain about. Friendly staff. Only the extractor fan leaves a lot to be desired. Upon entering, there's a strong smell of cooking. Upon leaving, your clothes smell of deep-frying/cooking.

Enthusiastic, friendly service. Deliciously sweet coffee, and the sloppy joe sandwich is a true award-winner. The information signs accompanying the dishes are a special touch: it's immediately clear whether a dish is vegetarian, vegan, halal, or safe for pregnant women. They also offer various high teas (e.g., for a baby shower), allowing guests to enjoy all the delicacies without hesitation.

Dear business, I want to thank this business so much because I discovered something I didn't know. Brace yourself! I'm an alien! The moment I walked in, everyone sitting there and the staff looked at me strangely, like I was from Mars. I didn't receive a warm welcome at all. Even though we came in earlier, two tables were helped first and they received their food much sooner. It took an hour for a flat white latte and two rolls??????? A truly awful experience, I have to say. The rolls were okay, not super high quality, which I expect for that price, but man, what terrible coffee you have :(

What a lovely place, open so unexpectedly early for early breakfasts. Very friendly service and delicious food. It looked beautiful too. I was in a bit of a hurry, otherwise I would have ordered another portion.

The omelet was fine, but very small. The tomatoes weren't fresh and had been refrigerated. The toasted bread with butter was tasty. The cappuccino was okay. Good value for money!

I found the high tea we had very mediocre, especially considering the price. One tea and one iced tea (lemonade) were included. There were also two very small savory rolls (1/4 of a bagel) and four small sweets. The decor is simple and dated. The floor was downright filthy; your shoes stuck to it.

I ordered the rainbow cake for my daughter's birthday, and it was perfect. The frosting was delicious and not too rich, and the cake itself was wonderfully light and airy. It looked beautiful. I could easily get 20 pieces out of it.

We went for breakfast and it was more lunch. Cause the timing was horrible. We had to wait over 1 hour to delivery. The portions were small and the prices high. Platters for 2 were for one person okay. The bagel was very dry. The service was okay, but after asking multiple time for the delivery issue, nothing happened. Not “sorry” no nothing

When it is a bit busier you sometimes have to wait a while for the food. Friendly staff. Just a nice cozy place.

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Enough seats, also outside. With every cup of coffee a delicious piece of homemade sheet cake/cookie. What I find a plus, you can also order small treats (e.g. a mini muffin or piece of chocolate). Delicious coffee! Also the decaf variant. Smoothies are also great. They often have good deals on Social Deal, something for everyone. Inside there is a nice play corner for children, at the back right. On the other side of the store you will have little inconvenience if you come without children (kitchen/counter is in between). I have become a regular customer with my mother, they know what we usually order and ask if we go for that or want something else. Really recommended, in terms of quality products and staff!

We had booked a high tea on Mother's Day and unfortunately we were very disappointed. Apparently there was confusion between the American high tea and a Mother's Day high tea. Service took a very long time, there was no tea?! After 45 minutes we walked in ourselves to ask if we could get something to drink and if there would be a sweet part. There were also fish on 2 of the 3 sandwiches. At the beginning we were asked if there were any allergies but you don't expect a lot of fish at a high tea. Feedback given, they sent a polite email but still said: -busiest day of the year -we could have indicated fish As a customer I have nothing to do with it being busy, if my experience is less I pay the full amount just like all other customers. Felt a bit like an excuse since there was a long time when there were very few people on the terrace.... You can also indicate in advance about the sandwiches with fish. Yes, the high tea is explained but it is still quite strange that there is not even 1 cup of tea included.... As a solution we got a possible discount code to come and drink a cup of tea at their expense. Poor solution since a cup of tea is just boiled water with a tea bag. For a company that is not the cost. All in all €150 spent for 5 people but left hungry and feeling disappointed.

We like to go with the family to have coffee and something tasty to eat at The Blueberry. They are always friendly, interact nicely with the kids. The atmosphere is relaxed. Kids can play in the play corner. Only downside, there is too much choice in terms of treats 😂

The Blueberry is my favorite restaurant in Nijkerk. I like to come there with my family for tea and something tasty, I like to have lunch there with my sister. And I also enjoyed a high tea there with my mother last year. The staff is always cheerful and friendly. The atmosphere is good. The shared lunch platter was good the last time. And the raspberry blondie is also my favorite treat for tea. Definitely recommended!

Blueberry in Emiclaer, Amersfoort is a place where you can drink a casual cappuccino with something tasty on the side. Plenty of choice. This is also a place where you can have a delicious lunch, such as a Sloppy Joe sandwich. And again, plenty of choice for lunch. I like to come here with friends to have a nice chat in a relaxed atmosphere. Keep it up Blueberry, says a regular visitor!😍

Best place in town! I am so happy the Blueberry made it to Nijkerk a few years ago. Amazing food and drinks to enjoy with a fun twist that our kids love - be it rainbows, unicorns or rocky road our kids love it all and have lots of fun in the playcorner as well. Highly recommended for some gezelligheid!

I am a regular guest here, and I love coming here. Last weekend I had breakfast with my family, where the kids had pancakes and I had one of my favorites, the avocado smash, together with a delicious vegan hot chocolate. Enjoyed it immensely, as always! 6 stars!

Neat shop, nice and neat girls in the service. Delicious homemade sweet snacks and they didn't seem to make any effort at all to meet our many wishes. Drinks with high tea, birthday. 1 cup of tea and a juice, other tea must be paid extra. That is typical when you book a high tea. Would definitely come back.

I have been there couple of times. Their carrot cake is quite famous but you can also get the rest of the things. It’s better than other places in Its own category and I’ll suggest to visit and enjoy. A little bit expensive but not that much. Plenty of space available and atmosphere is very nice!! Go for it!!

We visit Amersfoort regularly. For our wedding we didn't want a cake, but rather everything to choose from. Lisette cannot say that song twice. A table full of goodies was ready for us and our guests in no time. So also a big 10 for catering!

Nice American style place, but not American portions. I had the winning pastrami sandwich, tasty with the pickles, but on the small side and meager with the pastrami and a high price. Not necessarily worth repeating, especially because of the price. The cholates and Rocky roads were also very tasty and certainly a nice price for to go. Chocolate milk made from real chocolate and you can taste it.

Had lunch here as a gift for my birthday. There was a birthday card on our table and we had a cake with a candle. So nice. Delicious Chai latte and a shared surprise lunch. Well we were very pleasantly surprised! We enjoyed it, great service, great atmosphere and decor. We thought it was recommended.

Unfortunately we were not satisfied with our visit. We booked the American High Tea through Social Deal. The high tea was very disappointing: the offering was limited and the presentation left much to be desired. In addition, we only got one cup of tea, which is really minimal for a high tea. The mocktail we were waiting for was suddenly served halfway through and was 7up with grenadine syrup. For the price we paid (17.95 p.p.), we expected much more. In retrospect, we might as well have ordered individual items from the menu; that probably would have been more satisfying. Unfortunately not recommended for us.

Had a delicious brunch. It's just a pity that I told them in advance that I was allergic to onions, they assured me that this would be fine and we still got a scrambled egg with onion on the table... It was nicely resolved, but why do you pass it on? ?

Delicious lunch with a fresh cup of mint tea. Nice to sit with a friend. Friendly staff, lots of choice. This time I chose the high tea, it was very tasty but also a lot. Luckily we were allowed to take the "leftovers" with us.

We wanted to have something for lunch. When we were asked if we had already made a choice, we told them we would have to take another look. Half an hour later no one had come to take our order. Until suddenly someone from the service asked if we wanted something to drink because we had run out of drinks. We quickly paid and went somewhere else to eat. Not recommended.

Had lunch here on a Saturday a while ago. We were there before noon, it was still very quiet then. Later the establishment filled more and eventually it was full. I previously ate at the branch at the hof in Amersfoort, which had a positive influence on me at the time. Fortunately, the menu has evolved over time with healthier and more responsible options, but it is of course still possible to get high-calorie snacks, drinks and food. Coava was previously located in this building. The building is beautifully situated in a corner of the square in the center of Nijkerk. The blueberry has given the building a makeover, giving it a cozy and fresh appearance. There is a cozy play corner with a kitchenette for children up to about 6 years old. The Blueberry is a nice place to try different types and types of coffee. In addition to the well-known varieties, a Cortado and Babyccino are also present. They also have different types of cocktails and other (American) drinks on the menu. One thing to keep in mind is that the menu is entirely in English, something to keep in mind for people who do not speak this language. For lunch I chose the Sloppy Joe, which was very tasty and well balanced. The only point of criticism regarding the food is that the portion was a bit on the small side. A clear point for improvement was the service. Little was asked if we wanted another drink. I then ordered a coffee twice, but it never arrived either time. Given the size and busyness of the restaurant, this should not happen. All in all a good experience and worth repeating.

I bought the American high tea via social deal. This was really great! You got different tea flavors to choose from, 3 different sandwiches, a mocktail and sweets🍪🫖 You could taste that everything was fresh and the sweets were home-made. This is really a plus! 😁 (A lot is purchased these days) Staff is also very friendly!

I was looking forward to this concept, but unfortunately it was disappointing. The menu on the site had changed upon arrival and had increased considerably in price. The chair I was sitting on had a broken backrest. The special coffee (€5.50) was only just lukewarm, and our sandwich took quite a long time, the bread turned out to be gone. The sandwich itself was nothing special...2 slices with some lettuce, tuna salad and tomato, and therefore certainly not worth the €12. Then our other drink (homemade lemonade, which had no taste) was forgotten, so we got it from the company. The staff certainly did their best and were friendly. But there is quite a bit of room for improvement on all fronts. And I couldn't find the American concept in it. You can get this in any lunchroom and probably even cheaper.

Had lunch last Friday and it was excellent. Geraldine's service was top notch and the atmosphere was relaxed. Ideal place for families! We will definitely come back, thanks for everything Geraldine 👍🏽

Scanty high tea, sandwiches and some sweet snacks were already old. Only 1 cup of tea included: for a high tea?! A cup of tea will cost you €3.25, much too expensive. The service felt uncomfortable. The atmosphere of the restaurant is good, nicely decorated.
