Very expensive for fries, but very tasty!

the atmosphere is not good but food is good whenever it is not busy just dont go during weekends and stuff too busy

Thought street food for such a price may be tasty, but very simple. Lettuce leaves with pieces of the core of the head. Loaded fries with “melted cheddar” cheap sour chemical imitation sauce you mean… 20 euros for a burger menu and loaded fries, not worth it!

Took the truki pan with chicken thighs and arros morro. You get peanut sauce. And you can get the rest of the sauces yourself. It was fresh and very tasty. Unfortunately there is not much seating and no toilet.

The food was so delicious that unfortunately I didn't have time to take a photo. I really thank the team at the restaurant, it was my first time here and certainly not the last! The chicken was perfectly grilled and delicious.

One of the worst experience in my life

Good food, we had the chicken galina with fries and the hamburger with fries, it is not cheap but very tasty. Very tasty Antillean food. Hopie bon

We ordered 3 of those dishes, 1 with chicken €18, 1 with tenderloin €26 and 1 with ribeye €20, a total of about €70 for 2 people, it was just 3 containers of dry fries with very little sauce and meat. There were also few types of sauce, the meat was tasty, but you taste no difference between the tenderloin and ribeye and the meat was only about half a handful, while the containers were full of fries. For €70 you can eat out with almost an entire family. I have had trukipan before where it was tastier, cheaper and had more in it, so you could get it for €25 (p.p. with steak and chicken) packed with and you could enjoy it I am very disappointed and I will never come here for a trukipan again.

We waited two hours for our ordered food only to have to call a grumpy woman on the phone who hung up before I could ask my questions. After our food was delivered in two parts, the pizza turned out to be ice cold and not good on the inside. My strong advice to NEVER order here.

Edit: Sorry, but you really fell like Truki Pan. Ordered spare ribs and chicken and it really had no Truki pan taste anymore. Meat is thoroughly cooked in oil. This is more like half fried meat from 2 days ago that is now dry, cooked in oil with a BBQ sauce for flavor. Aino Not normally tasty!!! Tasted exactly like Truki Pan from Curacao!! Offer of pico de gallo, chimichurri and various sauces. Please NEVER change. I'm obsessed. You immediately became a regular customer

Food was fine. Salad just tasted a bit old and the seating area was ice cold because both windows were almost wide open in the middle of winter and you sit right next to the window. The food was good, but the whole experience was less so because I was shivering with my coat on. The service was okay it was just the fact that someone's phone was connected to the speaker so I constantly heard super loud TikTok sounds coming from an employee's phone and on top of that her burst of laughter every now and then when she decided to play it super loud to discuss with her colleague. I am not a difficult person, but I thought this was a shame, I did not feel at ease at all because it was not comfortable. I would recommend the food, but I personally wouldn't eat inside anymore, which is a shame.

Expected more. The ordered steak beef was just a bowl of fries with some meat on it. Meat did not have such a delicious roasted taste. You also get some lettuce with it. Unfortunately, the service stops once you get the bowl of fries with the meat. You still have to add the sauces yourself, which are displayed on a standing table. Then you have to put the container in a bag yourself so you can take it with you. You pay 21 euros for this large meal. This isn't worth it.

Ate for the first time (burger & Philly steak) but it was a disappointment... shame! It says “Halal” very large on the facade, but they also sell pork🤪

My favorite place to eat, it's just delicious. Always fresh and hot. Almost always nice employees, they could sometimes smile a little more, even though I know it is not always easy. Atmosphere is okay, I think they could do more to the interior to make it a bit warmer and cozier, now it all seems so old and empty. The food is tasty... I have to say that they were tastier in the beginning than they are now. Only they are really allowed to educate their employees or something... and especially the ladies! What an attitude 😅 especially those behind the cash register. Now ask a perfectly normal question…. So arrogant that I didn't even feel like ordering anymore... if you don't feel like working... then stay home. I understand it's busy, but just stay friendly... you'll get much further...

The first time we ordered there, 3 months ago, it was so great! The fact that we continued to order from there until the 5th time (in 2 weeks) after that it went downhill so much... spare ribs now taste tough and no longer fall off the bone. Fries are delivered cold and limp while the order arrives in 20 minutes... sauces taste watery? And you now have to pay separately for the sauces that were previously included. We kept ordering there sporadically because we thought they were having a bad day or the chef was not present to prepare the food that we loved so much. We are now 3 months and 7 orders further. We liked it that much 3 months ago! After today NEVER AGAIN! Spare ribs were tough and burnt again? We're being made fun of by our friends for saying it was fantastic... they were just as disappointed. Death and death sin.. don't quickly write bad reviews, but WHAT has changed!? very bad

Twice I've ordered. Both times the food was not best. The first time I ordered beef with a ceasar salad (the salad was an accident), however the salad was not good at all. Very sour. The beef had a good taste however. Really good. But overall disappointing. The second time I ordered salmon with fries. I got a salad and corn as a side dish. The salad was very dry, lettuce isn't supposed to be dry like that. The salmon was very salty. And my fries were too crispy, if you know what I mean. Overall, the food looks better than it is. The food comes quick, but there are better less known places for these types of food. After two tries, I don't think I'll be ordering from here again.

The food looks delicious and the menu is extensive, unfortunately the food is a bit tasteless and we received a special dry frikadel with onion for an order of a frikadel.

I once saw this restaurant on social media and thought: let me give it a try. Well, I can tell you that I immediately fell in love with Curaçao cuisine. Tragi pan is hopi delicious! If I say so correctly. I chose a large one with chicken. This one was also really big and well filled. In addition to the tragi pan, I also had some softshell tacos. These were also delicious. In short, this restaurant is great and definitely worth repeating.

We had Lomito and Steak. The Lomito was a bit chewy, but besides that quite tasteful. The Steak was tender and delicious. Great variety on sauces too! Both dishes didn't taste like The Don Curaçao....but hey....it was quite close! They have two picknick tables upstairs where you can wait for your order or eat. Happy to have them here in NL. We will be back for more this summer!

Went to Rotterdam for the first time today and it was wonderful! Food was great, lots of choices and even a small portion is very well filled and the people who work there are friendly. I think an open kitchen so that customers can see how everything is prepared is certainly an advantage. Quality was 10/10, will definitely come back to The Don again!

I had a very unpleasant practice. They didn't want to let me into the store after hours. I planned to buy iphone 15 pro max, but the consultant didn't sell it to me. Ik raad mensenn aan om bij deze restaurant eten te halen. Mijn vriendin en ik hebben de " The Don Crispy Chicken" menu besteld. Het was heerlijk en veel. We konden niet alles opeten en namen de rest van het eten naar huis. Wat we ook lekker vonden was de drank die heet "Awa di Lamunchi". Deze restaurant is een aanrader om er naar toe te gaan eten.

You would only order 50 euros worth of food there and then have to watch how not 1, not 2, but 5 different people get their food before you while they ordered after you. Then drive away with what you think is your food but halfway through your journey you see that your order is incomplete. Mind you, I don't even live in Rotterdam. And not even SORRY crappy service

I went there for dinner last Saturday. The food was great, the order taker has no manners at all, stands there with a grumpy face with her dirty yellow Crocs, please put decent people at the counter.

Had dinner at The Don with some friends. Good quality chicken rolls, very juicy. Atmosphere is always good due to its location in down town.

After a long day we thought we would order a nice portion of food. The food arrives cold and dry WITHOUT sauce! We call the restaurant and all the lady says is “sorry, my mistake”. We were allowed to come and get the sauces, but since we live 20 minutes away, we didn't want to travel back and forth for something that will be even colder when we get back. We wanted compensation for the cold dry food and just 2 new warm portions WITH sauce. This was absolutely not possible and we were allowed to find out with Uber Eats. Super unfriendly woman who just kept arguing. Customer friendliness has deteriorated considerably. Service is declining. We will ABSOLUTELY not see the location in South Rotterdam again. 35€ thrown in the trash and still hungry... Very unfortunate

If I could give 0 stars I would. Food arrived cold, lady on the phone indicated that this could not be the case, there are 80 reviews on home delivery about cold food. I have to arrange it myself with the delivery service and they didn't want to do anything. I have never had such bad service. Wow. This was the very last time and I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If you can't handle delivering to another part of town, just don't do it. Your turnover will no longer increase if you lose customers. Bah bah bah.

Ordered food via Uber and the bag arrived completely wet, no straw for the milkshake, and also meat in the shake. Smash burger tasted like nothing, and completely soggy for the price you get supermarket buns. Steak and pork chop also tasted like nothing. Sauces super watery. When calling it's all the uber's fault. They offer nothing and do not look for a middle ground. All I could do is complain to Uber according to them.

A small place where their attention and food make it very special. The burgers are very, very good, the fries at another level, and not to mention their sauces... Homemade chimichurri, peanut sauce and a pico de gallo that make you lick your fingers. Very affordable prices.

Vleesmix besteld. Kip zeer goed gemaakt. De rest van het vlees was te droog, de kruiden compenseert het helaas niet. De homemade sauzen zijn waterig, niet zoals het hoort. Qua smaak niets op aan te merken.

Alleen al voor de culinaire ervaring zou ik keer op keer terugkomen. De smaken zijn zo authentiek en verrukkelijk dat het mijn smaakpapillen in Caribische extase bracht. De service was ook opmerkelijk vriendelijk en behulpzaam, typerend voor de warme Caribische gastvrijheid. Pluspunten voor de vriendelijke bediening! Helaas zijn er enkele minpunten die ik moet benoemen. De zaak is altijd druk en vol, wat de wachttijd aanzienlijk verlengt. Comfortabel zitten is ook een uitdaging, maar de smaakexplosie maakt veel goed. De prijs van het grootste menu lijkt aan de hoge kant, maar eerlijk gezegd, je gaat er wel verzadigd weg. Mijn wens voor The Don Streetfood? Een uitbreiding! Het zou geweldig zijn als er meer ruimte is om te zitten en te genieten van het heerlijke eten in een meer ontspannen setting. Ik kijk uit naar mijn volgende bezoek en hoop op een nog betere restaurantervaring. Ga zo door en tot snel!

Dit is eerlijk 1 van de lekkerste grill restaurants waar ik ooit ben geweest. Echt het eten is verrukkelijk lekker. Wij hadden de menu genomen met 4 soorten vlees en de portie was echt niet normaal. En daarna ook de pizza met alle soort vlees, gewoon abnormaal lekker. We kwamen helemaal uit Amsterdam om dit te proeven en was echt de moeite waard. Enige aanbeveling is om meer zitplaatsen te creëren dan zou het perfect zijn.

Druk, lang wachten op het eten... maar het was het allemaal waard #delicious

Bestelde een broodje kip, zit superrrr veel vet nog aan die kip. Niet te doen. Top service wel, heel klantvriendelijk. Maar 10 euro voor een broodje is wel absurd eerlijk is eerlijk.

Be aware that "lomito" platter big has a porcion of only 200gr of meat for a whopping price of €26!! Yes you read it right!! €26!! You will regret in paying €26!! So be aware!!

10/10 would recommend😍 I was finally able to try The Don and it did not disappoint. After years of not being able to enjoy real “truk’i pan” food “ala” YDK style, I was so happy to hear the news! Since the opening announcement, me and my family arranged a day to go there and try their food. The spare ribs, fries and sauces were amazing, perfectly grilled and nicely seasoned, but great is an understatement. I was smiling the whole time, I felt like I was back in Curaçao. I even forced myself to save some fries and ribs to take with me so I could eat some at home the next day, and even then it was banging! Definitely going back!

Gisteren ging ik hier langs, opzoek naar een snelle hap. We bestelden twee burrito's en twee Oreo-milkshakes. Tot mijn verbazing waren de burrito's vrij klein en dun, slechts ongeveer de helft van de grootte van een gemiddelde Turkse pizza. Ze bevatten alleen kaas, vlees en sla. De saus die werd gebruikt vond ik persoonlijk niet lekker. Voor een prijs van €11 per stuk zou een groter tortillaformaat geen overbodige luxe zijn, en bovendien leken jullie de belangrijkste ingrediënten te zijn vergeten: rijst en bonen. De milkshakes waren oke, deze werden vers bereid. De sfeer is goed en het team kwam over als erg rustig en klantvriendelijk. In totaal heb ik €30 betaald voor iets wat ik niet lekker vond. Ik zou aanraden om meer aandacht te besteden aan de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding van jullie gerechten.

Erg enthousiast naar the Don Rotterdam gegaan na het zien van een veelbelovende Tiktok filmpje. Eenmaal binnen kapot druk. Letterlijk 3 kwartier staan wachten op mijn eten. Zitplaatsen zijn schaars. Personeel eet en drinkt in het zicht van de klanten. Het eten is verder"basic". Ik ga er helaas niet meer naartoe.

Heerlijk eten, wordt transparant vers gemaakt. Niet het goedkoopst maar daarin tegen krijg je Grote en verse porties. Eindelijk wat variatie in de buurt, zal hier vaker komen.

De lomito met aros moro (rijst met bonen) is echt bizar lekker! Het vlees is lekker mals, de rijst en ook de sauzen (chimichurri en pico de gallo) hebben heel veel smaak. Enige minpunt is dat je echt veel te weinig vlees krijgt voor €26.

Het eten is lekker maar het vlees is echt weinig te weinig €26 voor lomito maar hoeveel reepjes vlees is op 1 mischien net 2 handen te tellen en extra vlees als optie bestaat niet. Mischien kleine aanpassingen maken aan of de prijs of extra vlees als optie want is is veel te veel patat voor dat beetje vlees voor patat kan ik ook naar de snackbar

Eindelijk!!! Na vorig jaar een poging om The Don op Curaçao leeg te eten, vanavond heerlijk (Burito)Lomito,Chickenburer en Kip gegeten . Wij waanden ons even terug. Thx 👌
