The Mandarin in Wijk 21 Berkel

We had ordered spring rolls and babi pangang. The spring roll was special, but it had no flavor. The babi pangang was overcooked; it was inedible. So, they get a zero for this time.

First time picking up here, truly fantastic!!

Get takeout and it felt familiar again. The Koe loe yoek sauce could have been a bit less sweet.

Remains the best Chinese in South Holland

Normally, I go for 5 stars when it comes to Chinese food. Naturally, this is Dutch-Chinese food, and the freshness and taste were fine. I ordered food for 10 people. The pangsit had no filling; the taste was a bit bland. Fortunately, no dried-out meat, and the shrimp were a hit. Next time I am going to try a number of other dishes. They haven't seen the last of me yet.

Truly, truly a fantastic Chinese restaurant! I have been coming here my whole life; it has looked the same for 40 years, but the food is superb! That is what you come for, after all.

Takeaway is fine. Restaurant has no atmosphere. Food is good.

The food is tasteless; they don't use typical Chinese spices. The spring roll contained almost nothing but bean sprouts, and they don't have spring roll sauce. In short, it was very bland and mediocre. Finally, the wine: it came in a small port glass, so it was a very small quantity, and that for €4.85. In short, the food is filling, but that is about all there is to say.

We like coming here. The food is always good.

The food is always good. Friendly staff. Standard decor.

We had a delicious meal; I understand why this Chinese restaurant is the best in Berkel en Rodenrijs. We are from Pijnacker, but from now on, we will drive to The Mandarin.

Fast, tasty and affordable Friendly staff

Delicious food. Great flavors, very friendly and hospitable staff. Simply old-fashioned enjoyment. Highly recommended. Our compliments to The Mandarin.

Fine, authentic Chinese restaurant, I think the interior is the same as 30 years ago, it's about time... food is absolutely top-notch, prices are fair, in short, great Chinese value for money. A downside is the limited parking and the stairwell is shared with another apartment where people sometimes smoke weed; unfortunately, we can't do much about it!

My favorite Chinese takeaway in Berkel and Rodenrijs

Excellent (takeaway) Chinese! Very happy with the service, both in terms of quantity and especially with the taste of the food: everything was well seasoned. Friendly staff and always pleasant service. It's great to have such a good Chinese restaurant in our village. I wouldn't go there specifically for the atmosphere, but I can definitely recommend it for takeaway.

Despite the crowds, you get served quickly. The food is always good. The price of a monthly menu is very reasonable for what you get. Our place after a long day at work.

Delicious food, friendly staff.

Excellent service, excellent food, great place! We'll definitely be back. The waiter treated us spectacularly. 1000% recommended

I'd rather travel a bit further and pick it up here in Berkel than order from the local Chinese restaurant. The food is simply good, the price-quality ratio is good, and I get what I expect from a Chinese restaurant.

Delicious food and friendly staff.

I've been coming here since I was a child. Every Sunday evening, I'd get Chinese food with my dad; that was the tradition. Even when we had guests staying for dinner, I'd pop over to the Chinese restaurant for delicious food. Now that I have children of my own, I still go to the same one. I've tried others, but this one is still the best!

Best Chinese restaurant in Berkel and Rodenrijs.

After eating Bami Rames with 3 chicken satay skewers on August 21, 2025, everything points to food poisoning. I'm 70 years old and hadn't eaten or drunk anything unusual beforehand. It's been three days now, and I'm still suffering from persistent diarrhea and a fever. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow. I haven't seen them again at this restaurant.

Lovely people and honestly the best Chinese in Berkel & surroundings!!!

The rice noodles were delicious, the duck dish was also good, and the tenderloin in a dry, spicy sauce wasn't so good. The chicken spring roll was absolutely awful, not at all.

We've been coming here for years to get delicious food, both takeout and in the restaurant. It looks a bit dated, but that doesn't detract from the quality of the food.

You walk right past it, but you won't find anything better in Lansingerland! Food is absolutely fine. Extensive menu, portions OK and the food is very tasty. It's a restaurant, but take-away is the intention here. Hence 3 stars for the atmosphere. Have been coming here for many years.

Takeaway had called and ordered a special monthly menu....was there within 8 minutes by car and they were already ready with a large bag... Tasty food and certainly good price / quality ratio... will definitely visit here more often...

Better to order by phone and the food will be ready. Usually very busy with takeaways and for good reason. The food is always very tasty.

Favorite for years! Top quality food. Always pick up. Restaurant is very small.

Cozy restaurant. Super friendly staff and amazingly delicious food

Food is great, service is usually super fast even with takeaway. Service is super friendly and helpful.

Just good Chinese. Always busy at the well-known takeaway on Sunday evenings around 6 o'clock... picking up is fine, I wouldn't sit there, it's not really cozy inside.

Good Chinese restaurant. We always pick up here. Friendly staff and the food is always good!

We get Chinese at least once a week! And nowadays we also sometimes eat in the restaurant. Also very tasty! Fast service and everyone was super nice.

After decades, we are still impressed by the food. Many specialties of very good quality. Super friendly people. The restaurant is not very cozy, but fortunately the quality and price come first.

Last time I ordered for 144 euros and there was a tyrap in my food and they were going to get compensation. Today we received a voucher for a tenner and that per compensation of an amount of a tenner

As it should be with the Chinese, a lot, good, cheap!

Tasty food for a reasonable price

The tastiest Chinese in the area

Great restaurant for takeout. The seating area is not very cozy, but you have to create your own coziness

Food is fine, we sometimes went to get it, until we saw the waiter open the cupboards with cutlery. In terms of service, it could be a bit better, I received a strange answer to questions. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cold. It is a booth with some tables and chairs. If you want to eat here, that's fine, but I would take it home with you, where there is more ambiance anyway.

Enjoy delicious food with friends once a year. Is it a very pleasantly decorated place... No, but you create the atmosphere yourself. The food is superb and the service is SUPER. We enjoyed it again.

Eating is possible, but not for us anymore. Mihoem was probably burned and the fristi was out of date.

Simply the best Chinese takeaway in the area. Sitting there is less pleasant, the design is very focused on takeaway

Delicious food and good service. Thank you!

Nice Chinese with super good food and great service

Just good food. The atmosphere and experience could use some work, but it's all about the food.

Mandarin in Berkel en Rodenrijs offers a solid experience for lovers of Asian cuisine. The generous portions are certainly a plus for those who value quantity. The dishes are generally tasty, although some could possibly use more refinement. The design of Mandarin is timeless, with a simple but elegant interior. The warm colors create a pleasant atmosphere, although the whole is not particularly striking. The ambiance is suitable for both intimate dinners and informal gatherings. The menu offers a diversity of Asian dishes, ranging from sushi to stir-fry dishes. Although the choice is wide, it may lack the elements of surprise that some restaurants offer. The staff is generally attentive and friendly, although service could be more efficient at busy times. There is room for improvement in the speed of the wait staff. Mandarin in Berkel en Rodenrijs is a reasonable choice for those looking for a decent Asian dining experience, with plenty of options on the menu and a pleasant, if not flashy, atmosphere.

Recommended!! Very tasty, great service! Very clean place. Traditional sleek design, but this does not detract from the atmosphere. We read that people were bothered by other customers who came to pick up orders. But perhaps that was longer ago, because now the many takeaways did not come to the restaurant. It's that we live in Eindhoven, otherwise we would come much more often!!

Geweldige zaak. Zeer attent personeel. Aanrader.

Easy comfort food for Friday night. Chinese food adjusted to Dutch taste. Good value and taste for the money. Not spicy, even if the menu said so. Not too oily/fatty compared to other Chinese food. Foe Yung Hai is suitable for kids. The restaurant looks dated and in need of refurbishment, I won't suggest dine in.

Eten is hier altijd consequent goed. Prima porties, lekker ouderwetse chinees.

Beste Chinees uit omgeving. Vooral de rijsttafels zijn aan te raden.

Eenvoudig eethuis.

Eerste keer wezen afhalen. Kom hier zeker weer terug.

Er niet gegeten maar wel afgehaald. Was snel geleverd en smaakte perfect!

Ouderwets lekker Chinees restaurant
