Nice team that keeps things running even in the off-season. We had the place to ourselves on Friday evening and were still served nicely and had delicious nachos and cocktails.

Very bad expérience in this place. It was very expansive and the food was from bad quality (burger with stale bread and salted meat, like to hide something bad). The waiters give us 1 fries for 2 peoples… At least Some bad guys weared in black came and tried to intimidate us, they impose us to pay only by cash with one paiement for everybody (we were 20 peoples), I never saw that before, go away from this « restaurant ».

18 euros for a burger with a semblance of what roughly resembles bread, 3 fries that fight a duel and an unseasonal salad, I think that says it all about the cuisine. As for alcohol, I have never paid so much for a drink that tasted like nothing A top-notch atmosphere, worthy of the best nightclubs in the remote corners of Pas de Calais (I give 2 for the pole dance bar) Dedication to the high quality service: no possibility of paying separately a bill for 14 people, having to go into the kitchen to find a server and finally paying the bill directly to the security guard (I'm kind, I put 2 for the sympathy of the only waitress)

Outdated atmosphere, cuisine too expensive for the quality. The famous "pay all together by card or in cash", we might as well tell you that to advance a table of 400€ you need to have cash. Take France as an example. Having to pay in hard cash in 2025 is no longer possible, ok culture all that but still, some restaurants are not so zealous, it would be a question of growing.

How are you supposed to run a restaurant these days with such staff?? The service is really subpar, the food is good, the ambience is okay! Then it will be difficult 🙈 But maybe they have something planned for 2025!? 👍

As a group we visited your restaurant several times. The atmosphere is very appealing and the selection of drinks and snacks is sufficient. This also meant that we were able to ignore this extremely unfriendly service in the holiday mood. I wish the owner of such a nice restaurant good luck in selecting the staff for 2025.

“An unforgettable evening” Oh, what a culinary experience. My partner and I were very lucky to dine at this “fine” establishment – ​​and the word “fine” obviously took on a whole new meaning here. Who needs well-done meat when you can enjoy the exciting feeling of impending food poisoning? Yes, you heard right, the meat was so raw that I almost apologized for disturbing it while eating. And then there was the mushroom sauce… Oh, the good old mushroom sauce! A true all-rounder. It was so good that I was served it twice - once as a soup with the starter and then again as a sauce on the main course (schnitzel). Recycling with a difference, right? Who says restaurants have to be creative when they can just slap the same thing on the plate twice? All in all, an evening that my stomach will probably never forget. Enjoyed a 3-course dinner with a Social Deal voucher. After 35 minutes the order was taken. A bit late, sorry. The menu is not extensive but sufficient for us. Mushroom soup, the steak and sorbet for dessert were delicious. There was no decoration on the steak, see the photo. Conclusion: no repeat for us.

Ate boiled mussels yesterday, which did not go smoothly. The waitress asked if we wanted 1 large mussel pot for both of us. No...just like us in Belgium, everyone has their own mussel pot. Then I already thought: "Yes, deuh. We are here in Schouwen-Duiveland". When the mussels arrived, unlike my husband, I had half a pot. The mussels were cold, shells closed. In other words the mussels were not cooked. So of course I wanted another portion. And I got that too. But in the meantime, my husband also has to wait to eat and his mussels were cold when mine arrived. Also not enough vegetables cut on it and bland seasoning. Next time, somewhere else. A 6/10 because the service was friendly. Otherwise it would have been 4/10.

There were about three tables occupied and six visible employees on site. The waiting times were still far too long because people prefer to sit at the counter, have a drink and spend time on their cell phones. When you bring drinks, half the drink is spilled over your lap and the table. That can happen, but the reaction to it is crucial and unfortunately I wasn't even offered a cloth or something similar. When the food finally arrived, every single sauce was wrong and it took a while until everything was on the table. We ordered a lot of different things and nothing was really good. The pizza is a really sad and dry frozen pizza that is sold for €10, the nuggets are worse than at the snack bar, the vegan burger gave me a stomach ache and the worst of all were the mussels for €24, where two were ordered and paid for but expected is that you share a small starter salad and a portion of fries with two people. In addition, we have all NEVER eaten such disgusting mussels. Apart from the taste, half of the mussels were broken or already rotten. But the criticism was ignored and as a thank you we were allowed to wait forever until we could pay. Paying separately is then no longer possible. We will never enter this shop again and prefer to go next door to De Buren, which has good food at a reasonable price and, above all, friendly staff.

Came via social deals. Made the mistake of not checking reviews first. Made us wait 2 hours for our main dish before we decided just to leave. We payed upfront so money down the drain. Don't come here, you will regret it. Its dirty, uncomfortable, rude waitress and just bad vibes as soon as you enter. Go to literally any other restaurant or bar on that street. I guarantee you a better experience then at this place.

After waiting a long time to finally place our order, we first had to ask the waitress to clear away the glasses that were still on the table from the previous guests. Apparently wiping the table was too much to ask and we were served our drinks on the sticky table. The mojitos consisted of 99% water, to which white sugar, half a slice of lime, two leaves of mint, 3 ice cubes and an indefinable alcohol because it couldn't be tasted were added. For €9.80 it's really a disgrace. We definitely won't be visiting the store again.

I spent a great day here with some friends, enjoying some beers and delicious food. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. Food was overall ok, but nothing special. Large beer selection. Schnitzel was fresh and tasty. Fries are lightly salted and could have been more. Unfortunately the salad was very bland without the dressing. The mushroom sauce for 3 euros was without mushrooms and obviously from a bag. Overall, far too expensive, including the drinks, which is probably due to the central location.

Overpriced cocktails for this service (alcoholic drinks with just juice and ice cubes for just under €10 is just outrageous). Well, what can I say? We had to ask 3x (!!) for the really dirty table to be wiped down. The promised bread with herb butter was forgotten and not seen again until we paid. We waited 1 hour 45 minutes for the main course. If we hadn't had the vouchers, like some other guests, we would have left again and definitely wouldn't have waited so long for the food!!!! At the next table, a family with 2 small children waited a whopping 2 hours for their food. Truly INCREDIBLE!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

If you want to eat, find another place. Here you have to wait an hour for your starter and main course. Friendly service

We were in De Zoom last night. Apart from the unwilling service staff, the whole place seemed run down. Our table was only cleaned upon request. Not even the minimum standard is met. The highlight, however, is that you have to pay 50 cents to use the toilet as a guest. An unfriendly person sits in front of the toilet and only grants you access after paying. According to Horeca, the toilet fee is at the discretion of the operator. However, this is likely to be a loss for the owner. In order to pay the brute at the toilet entrance you need at least 30 - 40 guests per hour who want to relieve themselves. Given the current number of visitors, this could be a challenge. The fact that two letters on the illuminated sign are already missing should give the owner something to think about. If he continues like this the lights will soon go out completely. Nobody needs a place like that.

We were there twice - the first and last time. It would have been better to read the reviews first. The service was actually quite ok, although we received dirty glasses several times. Once my husband clearly got my old glass, which hadn't been washed at all! We thought the food was good - until 2 of the 4 of us spent half the night on the toilet. The kitchen is probably just as dirty and worn out as the toilets. Even though the four of us spent almost 200 euros, we had to pay 0.50 cents per visit to the toilet. As if we were being complained about because we initially thought it was a misunderstanding, we were insulted and threatened by both the toilet attendant (who called security!) and the operator! We've never experienced anything like this before. One can only hope that the store will be officially investigated soon.

Yesterday we went to watch the FR vs. Netherlands EM 2024 game in the restaurant. We ordered a “cheeseburger,” which was just a disgusting pattie with cheese in a hot dog bun. For the toilets you had to pay €0.50 per visit to the toilet, for two euros you got a flat rate that allowed you to go to the toilet all evening long. Here we make money from people's misery! Not recommended unless you want to watch a sporting event.

Had a very bad experience today. The service was unfriendly. The food came incomplete. I had to ask several times until the missing component of my meal was delivered to me. Upon arrival there was 1 other table and there was a lot of noise from the kitchen outside. After 15 minutes someone finally came after we approached them ourselves. We received our first drink and only after more than half an hour did we receive our starter, which was served with old bread and tomato soup, so our spoon could remain upright. After sitting with an empty glass for more than 25 minutes, we called someone for another drink while the employee was just chatting at the other table and we were waiting. So we had to wait a very long time while there was only 1 other table of 2 people who had already finished eating. When we finally got our main course, 2 other tables came in and also had to wait a long time for a drink. Finally, we were helped by a friendly young man and we mentioned that we still had a reservation at the local bowling alley and he assured us that dessert would follow soon, which it did. However, we had to pay outside at the bar where 5 staff were just quietly chatting. They won't see us again anytime soon

Typical local food with a manageable menu, also vegan. Cozy seating areas, sheltered from the wind with a view of the street promenade. Hip furnished inside. Kind. Funny urinals made from old beer barrels, but clean and functional. Price/performance ok.

Gisterenavond werd mijn vriendin daar voor de deur aangereden. Wat wederom een super mensen werken daar! De security was er meteen , met dekens en hadden 112 al gebeld. We zijn met veel aandacht daar neergezet en verzorgd. Deze mensen verdienen echt een schouderklop! Nogmaals hartelijk dank voor de goede zorgen.

Hier op een Donderdagavond via Social Deal gegeten. Wij hebben binnen gezeten, allemaal hoge tafels met barkrukken. Dat vind ik enorm slecht zitten. Ze hebben bewust voor hoge tafels gekozen want bij lage tafels kijk je tegen de onderkant van de bar aan, daar is wat voor te zeggen. Buiten op het verwarmde terras staan wel "normale" tafels en zitbanken en stoelen én terrasverwarmers. Ondanks dat binnen de verwarming aan stond vonden we het toch koud. Dus buiten met een "normale" tafel én een terrasverwarming was het waarschijnlijk beter geweest voor ons 😄 Voor de volgende keer dan maar want die komt er zeker. Voor een feestcafé is het eten erg lekker. Schnitzel niet in de frituur maar gebakken op de plaat in de roomboter 👍 zoals het in onze ogen hoort... en de rest van het eten was ook heel erg lekker. Het personeel was allemaal erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Dus zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. De toiletten schoon. De herentoiletten heel erg leuk, nog nooit eerder gezien. Parkeren kan om de hoek gratis bij het Transferium.

Es war alles sehr lecker. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Het eten is qua prijs-kwaliteit verhouding goed te noemen. Als je niet binnen zit, dan is de uitkijk naar buiten onder de luifel het belangrijkste. Sfeer moet je binnen zoeken.

In tegenstelling tot eerdere review hadden wij vriendelijke en attente bediening maar we hadden een redelijk smakeloze uiensoep vooraf maat wel een heerlijke en rijk gevulde zalm op toast. De snitzels daarentegen leken nergens op.

Wir hatten 2 Getränke bestellt, wovon bei dem ersten trotz zeigen nicht das Richtige gebracht wurde. Bei dem 2. Mal hatten wir einen Shot ohne Eiswürfel bestellt, gebracht wurde dennoch mit Eiswürfeln. Darüber hinaus hatten die Getränke sehr verwässert geschmeckt trotz der hohen Preise. 2 Sterne weil das Ambiente trotzdem in Ordnung war.

Naast de fijne en attente bediening is het hier goed eten. Je kunt alleen op het terras eten, maar met mooi weer is dat geen enkel bezwaar. Wij hadden een reservering via een deal, voor een 3 gangen keuzemenu. En er is voor elke smaak wel iets op de lijst te vinden.

Zojuist een heerlijke biefstuk genuttigd, gegaard zoals gewenst. Een echte aanrader. Personeel is erg klantvriendelijk.

Für mich die beste Bar in Renesse. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und die Partys sind absolut geil. Die Bedienung ist sehr höflich und zuvorkommend.

Heel leuk café, zeer vriendelijk personeel, leuke sfeer! Als toerist wordt je er goed ontvangen.
