Nice food, doesn't accept credit card payment

Very nice restaurant, food and people. Common (real) Chinese dishes can be ordered à la carte or by asking the cook owner (through the waitress owner). Of course, these meals take extra time and can only be prepared and served when there's room for it.

Location easy to find. This is the 2nd Chinese places i tried in Groningen, they don't seem very popular, this place also very quiet with no other customers when we got there. The food price is reasonable, and quality and taste is average, but I most definitely would not come back here again, as they are keen to throw customers out when they want to go home...lol...so ambience is a big fat ZERO.

I've been ordering from this restaurant for years. It's always delicious. I think their suckling pig is fantastic; it's really crispy. I also had duck again yesterday! Definitely worth it!

Tong Ah...this really remains by far the best Chinese in the city...we ordered food there...delivered very on time...and besides that, we had a delicious meal...we have been coming there for years or have been ordering there for years...fresh and tasty and enough to eat well...so recommended for everyone

We used to get a lot of food here, we often went there with the first owner, everything was delicious in the 90s, but after a few years the owners stopped, which I thought was a shame, it was delicious, when a new one was in, the quality had gone down a lot, it was not edible, it had no taste, very watery, did not eat, often had complaints about it, went to a new owner who understood it, it was ok, they said it was improving, we had only been there a few times, still no, unfortunately, then we went to another Chinese restaurant, Pop Dijkman, which was delicious, but a shame that is no longer the case, unfortunately, the Chinese have become so bad over the years

Foe young hai with chicken is really great here

A dirty and unkempt restaurant. Cracks in the wallpaper. Equipment that shouldn't be there and is sloppily covered. Friendly service in dirty clothing. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. If the interior were improved, it would quickly be fuller, just like the other restaurants in the street. If the decoration and presentation were better, the food would taste better too.

Delicious Chinese food as it should be. And fast delivery. Simply great!

Seldom eaten so badly. Spicy sauce was a lukewarm tomato sauce, tasted like ready-made sauce and there was nothing spicy at all. No spices on the table and fried noodles without being fried. The plates were cold, so was the food after a few minutes. Everything (4 different dishes) came to the table after 3 or 4 minutes! This could never have been freshly prepared. There's just nothing wrong here. Not recommended!!!

Unfortunately I can't make any recommendations here. The service made an effort... I know fried noodles differently, i.e. browned and fried instead of just boiled. All in all, the taste was quite bland and only the tender beef with the al dente vegetables earned a total of 2 stars.

Picked up here again after a long time. Unfortunately not what it once was. Bland, boring. The last time! We have now discovered better Chinese restaurants, so no loss

We ordered Chinese noodles, not Italian spaghetti pasta. How can anyone call these noodles? €50 order as well. Shockingly bad.

Takeaway is fine, but don't eat here as they are no longer equipped for that. Beer comes from a can to the table. Furthermore, it is a bit dreary. There was little wrong with food. I think it's ok for takeaway and delivery

The Monthly Menu from Tong Ah Chinese restaurant for home use was a true taste sensation. The dishes were freshly prepared, well packaged and retained their delicious flavors. A fantastic choice for a pleasant evening at home with family.

Klein en eenvoudig ingericht restaurant. Vooral gericht op bezorgen. Toch kun je er prima eten. Het personeel is vriendelijk en het eten is uitstekend.

Duurt lang voordat ze kwamen vragen wat ik wilde bestellen. Grote fles water, staat op de kaart, hadden ze niet toen kreeg ik glas kraan water, voor het tarief van spa blauw. chafing dish werd niet aangestoken Bord ook niet voor verwarmd. Eten is dan snel koud. Jammer allemaal want het Eten was prima. Komen ook veel afhalers.

The best example of the "dutch" Chinese-Indonesian takeaway afaik. Great food and even better value for money 😻. Service could be more friendly or helpful but that's not the tradition here! Truly beautiful how staying the same can be so satisfying.

Het duurt eem maar op een gegeven moment heb je je Chinees gevonden. Die ene top tent. Die snel bezorgd en waar er ruim uitgedeeld wordt. Snelle bezorging. Het is er gewoon. Ben nog nooit jij jullie geweest maar elke Nederlander weet dat eten bij de Chinees zelf geen succes was, is of wordt haha. Lekker bestellen en dat is top xxx

Er lekker en frisse ingredienten

I think we've all experienced the standard dutch chinese takeaway of dry meat, underseasoned sauces and egg that tastes more like factory flooring than real eggs. Tong ah doesnt have these issues, in fact they deliver the complete opposite. The meat is juicy, tender, and fatty, the eggs taste like real eggs and the battered chicken has a great satisfying bite (difficult to explain) other chinese takeaway restaurants in the netherlands should take note, because now that ive ordered here twice i dont think i can go back to any other establishments

Eindelijk een Chinees restaurant waar het eten pittig is als het er ook staat. De Yu Siang Lo Shi is absoluut heerlijk. Lekkere Bami ook bij het afhalen. i.t.t. andere restaurant is de bami hier niet gortdroog.

De lekkerste chinees van Groningen daar geen klachten over helaas nu net eten gekregen alles saus lekte door en me loempia zat in een zak die was dus uit elkaar gespat...beetje jammer 🥺

Dit restuarant draagt de sporen van een ouderwets Chinees-Indisch restaurant maar bereidt tevens Japanse hapjes en mist de vriendelijkheid. Het restaurant is vooral op afhalers en bezorgen gericht. De kaart is traditioneel Chinees-Indisch maar er is een aparte kaart voor Japanse gerechten. Ik werd niet bediend en moest zelf mijn bestelling regelen. Servetten waren er niet. De opgediende Bami Rames was karig en saai. Nauwelijks groente en weinig bami. Er werd niet gevraagd of het gdsmaakt had , en als ik zomaar weggelopen was, had waarschinlijk niemand het gemerkt. Ik betaalde bijna 20 euro , includief een drankje, wat ik voor wat ik kreeg vrij veel vond.

Heerlijk babi pangang gegeten , bier uit een blikje , warm aanbevolen als je trek hebt !

Food was good. Also enough for the money, and still warm while delivered. The problems arise with the delivery. I put in 19:15 which was an option, they got here at 19:49. One of my guests noticed the tomato soup was missing. I called them and it would be delivered short after. We went ahead and enjoyed our mail, but two hours later my guests noted she still hasn't gotten her soup. I called again and asked for my money back, which was delivered in 20minites in my mailbox in an envelope. All and all, the food is good the delivery is subpar.

Smakelijk en goede kwaliteit prima prijs voor een heerlijke maaltijd.

Maandmenu besteld. We waren met drie eters. Het eten was echt lekker. Super combinatie van gerechten. De hoeveelheid is top, er was meer dan genoeg voor ons drieën. Bezorgtijd op 18:00 gezet en om 17:55 wordt er aangebeld. Top! Ik deed een beetje moeilijk tegen de bezorger. Excuus hier ook, maar de bezorger bleef geduldig en vriendelijk. Petje af.
