The last time I came here, half my bag of fries was raw. I've never experienced that at any other snack bar. It's disgusting.

Very small portions for a lot of money, if you order a large portion you really get a leveled cup of fries, it's not what it used to be...not for me anymore!

The downside of growing up in Hoorn is that no fries will ever compare to Van Ree's. I always have to go there when I visit Hoorn, and preferably this location. Always good. The photo with this post is from 2023.

For years we came especially for fries from Ree And my partner was also an employee. Oliehoorn was an employee And he was very disappointed with the fries Had to pay 13.50 for two medium fries and a hot dog special. Van Ree's fries used to be delicious! But unfortunately Van Ree is no longer what it used to be… €7.50 for a big fries war. With watery satay sauce and almost no mayonnaise. What a disappointment!!!

I was really looking forward to eating at Van Ree's and heard good things about it. I was just in the neighborhood and thought I'd have a French fries war. They put the fries twice in one bag, which I thought was strange. The fries were inedible, there were only hard pieces in them. War sauce probably had crises, the satay sauce itself was not even warm and had hardly any onions in it. I don't even want to start about croquette. Croquette was not even warm inside, felt cold parts inside. There were 3 staff working there who were probably not even 18 yet 😅 very disappointed!

Got delicious fries today and received excellent service. Really beyond expectations!

It smells like old grease. 3 snacks are served in 3 plastic containers with 3 disposable forks and satay sauce in a separate plastic container with a lid. What a waste. Here people are not yet thinking about environmentally friendly service.

Away from Ree Huesmolen, understandable... so after a long time we went to the Spoorsingel. There was not even a response to our good evening upon arrival. Couple of puppies behind the counter. We chatted so much that the snacks were already ready and then they threw the fries in the grease. Forgot... There was one more customer besides us. Good staff will have to be paid more! So customers simply walk away. Last time here for us. Keep trying often enough, but no. So many hard fries too. It's a real shame that you once had such a good place where you felt welcome.

Worst chip shop ever! Staff talk about other staff and the food is awful. In addition, I find it very special that, in my opinion, minors are involved with hot frying oil.

Usually satisfied, but not so lately. Today the fries were undercooked. Frikandel in the sauce instead of sauce in the frikandel and all snacks not warm. Also, the satay sauce was no longer in the container but throughout the entire bag. So far, every time with the staff what is currently on the railway track. Disappointed again and again, I was in town, thought I'd try again, I hope they can bake the fries this time, and then I saw the person in front of me with the fries brown and hard again and yes, I got the same thing. Will the boss ever test his employees, it really is 9/10 times old deep fryer or over baked dark brown, you better get the Vanree air fryer and bake it yourself because the people at Vanree Spoortsingel and Market haven't baked anything from it for years. and if the boss never tests, they will always bake the same.

Super lekker patatje kom er al 30 jaar

Van Ree heeft de lekkerste patat van noord-holland. En ik denk wel van heel Nederland.

Ik kom net terug van de snackbar en ik ben niet tevreden. Deel van de patat was niet goed gaar, de satesaus was hard (?). Ook stonden er drie werknemers die denk ik rond de 16 jaar waren. Sorry maar ik ben niet meer tevreden en er zit geen volgende keer in voor mij.

De beste friet van Hoorn! Vers bereid en krokant!

Kwaliteit van het eten gaat de laatste maanden hard achteruit. Veel kleine gruis patatjes in de zak en erg lang doorgebakken, bijna op het verbrande af. Vaak produceten op uit het assortiment, de vorige keer geen kaassouffles en vegan kroketten meer en nu de bamischijven op. De service is ondermaats en absoluut niet vriendelijk. Het verschil niet weten tussen een groente en vegan kroket en als je het uitlegt worden er sarcastische grappen over gemaakt onderling en met de volgende klanten. Euh ik sta er bij..... Vandaag een verkeerde bestelling meegekregen, bij thuiskomst direct terug gefietst, 5 minuten, bij aankomst en aangeven dat het de verkeerde bestelling was, kreeg ik direct mijn eigen tas zonder opkijken of excuus en direct omdraaien. Eenmaal weer thuis bleek de bakjes met mayonaise en pindasaus ook nog verkeerd, er zat curry in. Dit maar zo gelaten, de patat was inmiddels redelijk afgekoeld.

Lijkt geen vers gemaakte patat Veel harde stukjes en vet van smaak. Kleur van de frites ziet eruit als oude olie is gebruikt of ongewassen aardappelen/patat. Kreeg er een bal van in mijn maag.

Lekkere friet! Goede portie. Aan de rij te zien denken meer mensen er zo over. Desalniettemin kregen we onze bestelling vrij snel. Frietje lekker buiten op het bankje in het zonnetje opgegeten.

Na 10 jaar weer eens een patatje gehaald bij van Ree. Service en kwaliteit staan nog steeds in een hoog vaandel en een praatje maken is ook nog steeds leuk.

Super heerlijke knapperige patat. Alles heerlijk droog gebakken.

Best chips in North-Holland, best mayonaise to go with it, literally identical snacks to every single other snackbar in The Netherlands, not cheap, not expensive. Beware of ordering a large chips, it's a LOT

Beleefde werknemers, altijd in voor een praatje.

Ik heb hier een patatje met satesaus gehaald met een picanto, zodat ik een keer makkelijk kon doen in plaats van te koken. Van Ree heeft de lekkerste patat van Hoorn.
