Friendly, good service. One star less, the prices are quite high.

Surprising location. Great atmosphere. Friendly service. Delicious local beers. We had a lovely meal there. We'll definitely be back.

Food and drinks aren't cheap, but dining at Venneper Lodge was a real treat. We had the 2-for-1 deal. All three dishes were exquisite. Delicious, generous portions. A cozy place with friendly staff. Absolutely fantastic!

Friendly staff. Delicious meat. Absolutely no vegetables served with the steak, not even a lettuce leaf. I could have asked for one, I heard later. The gyoza were also very tasty.

We went to Vennep Lodger on Sunday. It was incredibly busy, but the atmosphere was very pleasant. Delicious food, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere—what more could you ask for? 😀

A cozy atmosphere in Nieuw-Vennep. The ideal place for a family meal. And I especially enjoy a delicious winter tea with it.

Excellent pancakes in a beautiful location, other food is a bit less expensive. Spareribs are marinated and served cold without any sauce and are a bit dry. Dame Blanche with "homemade chocolate sauce" is three scoops of sauce that clearly comes from a bottle. A bit of a shame. Then make one scoop less of the ice cream and use real chocolate sauce. Or don't put "homemade" on the menu so we'd order something else. Or "bottle of sauce opened in-house." Otherwise, the service was excellent, and the kids had a great time.

I don't come here often, but I wanted to try it again after a long time. Last time, we left because it took so long for our order to be taken. Now, about two years later, we gave it another try, but unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing again. There were two of us, but we couldn't get the food served at the same time. The pancakes were lukewarm; they didn't feel like they'd just come out of the pan, but more like they'd been cooling for a while. The plain version tasted good, but the pulled pork was very dry and rather flavorless. Both the kitchen and the service could really use some improvement. It's a shame, because the place itself is nice and has potential.

When I ordered, I indicated that I didn't like cucumber and asked if this could be accommodated. The first bite of my dish was a mouthful of cucumber... I received a new plate, but of course, my table companion had almost finished eating by the time I could start. The dish was also disappointing. These days, country bread is two ultra-thin slices topped with some lettuce, tomatoes, and a few slices of carpaccio... absolutely unrealistic value for money. We'll skip this place for now, hoping the "foodie" factor will decrease and they'll serve delicious dishes again... a shame, because the location is beautiful!

Good food in a beautiful building. And the staff is among the friendliest I've encountered in countless restaurants. Their interaction with children is especially wonderful.

We had dinner here yesterday with good company. The onion was accidentally forgotten with the bacon/cheese pancakes. They offered to exchange the pancakes, but we declined :) Drinks arrived promptly, and the price was very reasonable at €180 for 6 people, including sandwiches! The salad with crispy chicken was delicious, the satay was tender, and the "Savonds een vent en smorgens een vent" (a guy in the evening and a guy in the morning) dish was enormous. I was given the leftovers to take home with me, so I can enjoy them again today! Best, Thomas

Delicious food, friendly service

I personally find it a bit expensive.

This is a lovely restaurant, the best in Nieuw-Vennep, with outdoor and indoor seating. There is a lovely patio and garden in the front with a play area for kids. In the summer they arrange a jumping castle and other play things for kids, so you can peacefully spend time enjoying the lovely food and drinks. The food options are sufficient, with some tasty bites options available. As an improvement, the main course menu could be refreshed once in a while.

Everything is very mediocre to very bad. A shame for such a well-designed establishment.

We had made a reservation and were seated immediately. But then things started to go wrong. After waiting half an hour, we called a waiter to ask if we could get drinks. As an apology, we were given the first two drinks by the restaurant. After that, things went smoothly. The food was excellent and very tasty.

Great place for lunch. Lovely terrace. Good food. Lots to do for kids, so expect plenty of them there.

Quite expensive for the drinks and food.

We had a tiered lunch with a group of 22 people. It was very well-prepared and delicious.

Ample parking and a great children's play area, both indoors and outdoors. The chicken satay is delicious, as are the fries. Most of the waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. We were there as part of a group of about 20 people. Unfortunately, the downside, which left a rather negative impression for us, was the incredibly long wait for drinks, especially beer. For every round, it took 10-15 minutes for the beer to be delivered to the table. Afterwards, it turned out that the glasses were empty, which was quite unusual for a restaurant, resulting in a long wait for glasses to be available. Instead of mentioning this to us so we knew it would take a bit longer, they didn't mention it, and the waitstaff made us wait a very long time for drinks. During the last round, we ordered drinks before the food was served. Only when everyone had finished their food were the drinks delivered. Very poor service!

You can eat very well here and the pancakes are very generously filled.

We had lunch here during the holidays. It was very pleasant and the food was delicious. There's great play equipment for children, including a climbing frame with a slide, swings, a seesaw, and now even bouncy castles. These aren't there every day; check Instagram or the website to see if they're there. Definitely recommended!

Nice spot next to a walking area. Lovely outdoor seating with plenty of attention for the kids! (There's also a playroom inside.) It's a shame the service is often spotty and can be long, but that won't keep you away.

Delicious food and very nice location. I had ordered their spek/kaas pancake and was quite disappointed with the kaas part. Others who ordered anything to do with kaas felt the same.

I thought I'd grab a quick and easy pancake. Quick; yes, ready in 10 minutes. Gone quickly too. Never before (I'm a big fan, despite the onions and bacon) have I had such a tasteless pancake. Small, tasteless, and expensive at 16 euros. Too bad, because that place is practically my neighbor. Next time, I'll drive a bit further for a "real pancake." Two stars because the staff was friendly. The pancake isn't worth a star, it's so bad.

When the weather is nice, it is wonderful to stay on the terrace. Beautiful location. Food is fine. Lunch platter of 16 euros is nice. A light rosé is 7.50 per glass. That is spicy but normal.

Used to come here regularly but hadn't been here for a while, the food is still great and made with care and attention, service is a completely different story. We stood at the hosting stand for more than 5 minutes before the host showed up. Once seated it took more than 15 minutes before we even could put in a drink order , after yet another long wait we finally got the menus. What should have been a nice family outing turned into a close to 3 hour ordeal. I would have understood this if the place was packed but that was not the case. All in all the saving grace for this review is the food.

The hamburger is too expensive for what you get (something on the level of fast food but it costs 23 EUR here). Choose something else from the menu. But in general the food level doesn't match the prices level. This restaurant sells the atmosphere, location, and space (not crowded like in the center of a city), playground for kids, spacious parking place, etc. The food is one level below what you would expect for these prices.

This was a positive review based on prior experience. Edit: Very poor service. Arrived an hour before closing time with the intent of having just 1 beverage, but was sent away. They had closed the register, staff were just sitting around doing nothing (phones in hand) and didnt want to serve anyone anymore. Dont bother going here in evening hours; they probably wont serve you even if it's well before closing time. I'll take my money elsewhere 👍🏻

In itself OK, taste is sufficient, price a bit high but affordable. Sometimes busy with children but doable.

I guess they don't want us. In the past they baked a thick pancake. Nowadays they bake 3 of them, so glad we were inside otherwise it would have blown off my plate. And finally with an empty wallet and an empty stomach outside again. So this was unfortunately the last time. Exorbitant prices and wafer-thin pancakes.

It started when we had reserved outside and were put inside. Didn't agree with it. Moved outside anyway, service was not friendly, you could see that she didn't like her job. The food was very strange, first the whole part of the table then others part and then the last people, a lot of trouble with dog hair flying into the food and nothing was said about it. Half of my food was thrown away because of that. We waited almost 30 minutes to pay, then I walked to her again and she finally came.

We were very happy with our stay at Venneper Lodge. The restaurant is in a great location and there is plenty of parking available. We were greeted very friendly and shown to our table. The drinks were picked up very quickly and the menu was also brought promptly. We decided on the tenderloin steak for the main course, which you grill to the end yourself on a hot stone at the table. The dish was an absolute hit in terms of both taste and presentation. Super tasty, homemade fries and three types of topping for the meat. First there was tomato mozzarella with homemade pesto and sunflower seeds. Afterwards ice cream with caramel sauce and strawberries. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, everything is clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back! Thanks for the great stay :)

Atmospheric location between Nieuw Vennep and Lisserbroek. Very child-friendly but also easily accessible for my elderly mother. Great lunches. A great alternative to Lissers during Keukenhof crowds!

We celebrated our son's birthday with a large group at Venneper Lodge and we are very satisfied! The sandwiches were tasty and everything was well taken care of. There are plenty of facilities for children, which made it extra pleasant. The atmosphere was cozy and we felt welcome. We will definitely come back!

In ons oude kloffie na een wandeling met de honden even wat eten , vieze tafel . Duurde lang 1 pannenkoek was koud 1 pannenkoek zaten twee ingeredienten op van vijf . Geen sorry ze pakte het aan en liep er mee weg , onvriendelijk personeel en geen lekker eten . Het was niet druk dat de tafels vies moesten wezen.

We have been here without reservations, and despite that there were many unreserved tables outside, ‘we were told to sit inside’ without reasoning by the waiter and his attitude was beyond rude. The place itself is nice.

High tea done via social deal. Was ok. Not very special. Had to keep looking for service for drinks, but very polite and nice. Toilet was not clean. Beautiful space and a huge terrace outside. Quiet but easily accessible and ample parking.

Ordered snacks and drinks in the afternoon. After 10-15 minutes the snacks arrived, but the drinks were not there after 45 minutes. During the second round (where we indicated that we had waited for entrance), the snacks were again delivered in no time, but half of the ordered drinks were still available in 20 minutes.

What a not customer friendly staff, the place is very nice but if you treat your customers like that. We won't be going here again for a while.

Borrelhapjes en drankjes besteld in de middag. Na 10-15 minuten kwamen de hapjes, de drankjes echter waren er na 45 minuten nog niet. Bij het tweede rondje (waarbij we wel aangaven lang te hebben gewacht) wederom de hapjes binnen no-time maar de helft van de bestelde drankjes waren en met 20 minuten nog niet.

We visited this location for high tea. Neatly cared for. We arranged the decoration of the table ourselves, that was no problem. Dietary requirements were communicated several times, but initially things went wrong. Kitchen staff came to the table to report this and it was resolved promptly.
