In itself OK, taste is sufficient, price a bit high but affordable. Sometimes busy with children but doable.

Atmospheric, friendly, hospitable and a delicious lunch

I guess they don't want us. In the past they baked a thick pancake. Nowadays they bake 3 of them, so glad we were inside otherwise it would have blown off my plate. And finally with an empty wallet and an empty stomach outside again. So this was unfortunately the last time. Exorbitant prices and wafer-thin pancakes.

It started when we had reserved outside and were put inside. Didn't agree with it. Moved outside anyway, service was not friendly, you could see that she didn't like her job. The food was very strange, first the whole part of the table then others part and then the last people, a lot of trouble with dog hair flying into the food and nothing was said about it. Half of my food was thrown away because of that. We waited almost 30 minutes to pay, then I walked to her again and she finally came.

Informal atmosphere, spacious. Ideal for groups. Service was mediocre: came across as “pretentiously friendly” and sometimes disinterested. Food: looked well-groomed but tasted disappointing. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Had coffee time and that took a while. Nice weather and busy and we had time so no problem.

Totally recommend, the place is pretty nice and has a kid’s area. Was very busy but this still managed to get the orders at an acceptable time, overall good service. Portion and quality were good as well. Highly recommend the poke bowl

Cozy dining tent, cafe, lodge. 2 bouncy castles in the garden for small children. Dogs welcome, provided they are kept on a leash. Good food and drinks for a great price.

Eating here is expensive. A hamburger is 23 euros. You get a small bowl of fries with it, but that's it...

The location and atmosphere are very nice and the service is very good...but the food took a very long time and was cold.

We were very happy with our stay at Venneper Lodge. The restaurant is in a great location and there is plenty of parking available. We were greeted very friendly and shown to our table. The drinks were picked up very quickly and the menu was also brought promptly. We decided on the tenderloin steak for the main course, which you grill to the end yourself on a hot stone at the table. The dish was an absolute hit in terms of both taste and presentation. Super tasty, homemade fries and three types of topping for the meat. First there was tomato mozzarella with homemade pesto and sunflower seeds. Afterwards ice cream with caramel sauce and strawberries. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, everything is clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back! Thanks for the great stay :)

Atmospheric location between Nieuw Vennep and Lisserbroek. Very child-friendly but also easily accessible for my elderly mother. Great lunches. A great alternative to Lissers during Keukenhof crowds!

They will always find a place for you. The food and service are also good. The atmosphere is not my thing. Often busy and noisy, but they are popular so that makes sense.

We celebrated our son's birthday with a large group at Venneper Lodge and we are very satisfied! The sandwiches were tasty and everything was well taken care of. There are plenty of facilities for children, which made it extra pleasant. The atmosphere was cozy and we felt welcome. We will definitely come back!

Beautiful building (you should also look at the roof structure inside!) in a beautiful setting, very sweet, nice service, lots of children, play equipment for the little ones! We enjoyed it!

In ons oude kloffie na een wandeling met de honden even wat eten , vieze tafel . Duurde lang 1 pannenkoek was koud 1 pannenkoek zaten twee ingeredienten op van vijf . Geen sorry ze pakte het aan en liep er mee weg , onvriendelijk personeel en geen lekker eten . Het was niet druk dat de tafels vies moesten wezen.

We have been here without reservations, and despite that there were many unreserved tables outside, ‘we were told to sit inside’ without reasoning by the waiter and his attitude was beyond rude. The place itself is nice.

High tea done via social deal. Was ok. Not very special. Had to keep looking for service for drinks, but very polite and nice. Toilet was not clean. Beautiful space and a huge terrace outside. Quiet but easily accessible and ample parking.

Delicious lunch with 6 adults. and 3 children who had a great time in the playground.

Borrelhapjes en drankjes besteld in de middag. Na 10-15 minuten kwamen de hapjes, de drankjes echter waren er na 45 minuten nog niet. Bij het tweede rondje (waarbij we wel aangaven lang te hebben gewacht) wederom de hapjes binnen no-time maar de helft van de bestelde drankjes waren en met 20 minuten nog niet.

What a not customer friendly staff, the place is very nice but if you treat your customers like that. We won't be going here again for a while.

Ordered snacks and drinks in the afternoon. After 10-15 minutes the snacks arrived, but the drinks were not there after 45 minutes. During the second round (where we indicated that we had waited for entrance), the snacks were again delivered in no time, but half of the ordered drinks were still available in 20 minutes.

It all looks neat and nice, modern, but it is also really a big chicken coop, too big, too high ceiling, you can hardly concentrate on your conversation partner. Food + drinks and service fine, but I prefer to meet in a smaller restaurant.

We visited this location for high tea. Neatly cared for. We arranged the decoration of the table ourselves, that was no problem. Dietary requirements were communicated several times, but initially things went wrong. Kitchen staff came to the table to report this and it was resolved promptly.

Beautiful lodge reminds me of South-Africa. Great food and very friendly personnel. The GPS route is also very interesting and even our dog had a great time.

It takes a very long time before you are helped. If you then ask for adjustments in the menu, you will first be told that this is possible, but you will not receive a final score. It's very expensive for what you get. The pancakes are not warm. All in all, we won't be going here again.

De zgn. Luxe high tea was alles behalve luxe. Er werd een glas thee bij aangeboden. Van te voren moest je aangeven welke smaak. Een karig assortiment aan hapjes. Geen sandwiches maar kleine broodjes. Geen boter erbij. Geen clotted cream bij de scones. Een familie restaurant met zeer veel lawaaierige kinderen om je heen.

Well.....Nothing special. Map actually limited. What you get is good, not special. Downside: they only have all soft drinks in zero. If you ask for regular soda, they don't have it. Why do they decide that I have to take zero? That's even worse than regular soft drinks. Stupid woke stuff. Map is somewhat limited. Parking is good. Update: Went again and ordered the tournados, twice medium. The ones we got were well done.

We gingen net langs, niet gereserveerd rond 17:30 uur. Bij binnenkomst waren heel veel tafels vrij. Aan de pc werden we welkom geheten door een jonge dame, die was vriendelijk. maar aan de PC stond een man, een super chagrijn, die duidelijk liet merken dat klanten lastig zijn. Nog nooit zo onwelkom gevoeld! Of ik daar nog ooit kom, terwijl we er meermaals zijn geweest?

Eten redelijk. Bediening geen idee wat ze aan het doen waren Zondag middag, Druk was mooi weer. Ruim 45 min gewacht op drinken wat besteld was. Eten was nog een half uur langer.

On busy days not enough parking and not enough staff.

Had a party last night with 26 people and had nothing but praise for how it all went. We could even use a TV with photos in a slideshow for the speeches. Well thought out in advance. We had a fantastic time celebrating our 12.5 year wedding anniversary with our families. Thanks!

Beer drinks super expensive. Why?

Leuke horeca lokatie in Niew Vennep. Grote zaak die op deze zondag goed gevuld was. Bediening vriendelijk. Wij gingen voor social deal high tea. Prima. Broodje kroket, broodje carpachio en wat gebak en natuurlijk verschillende thee keuzes. Tafeltjes staan wel erg dicht bij elkaar. Kan rumoerig zijn. Verder was het een leuk bezoek.

Delicious dinner on a Saturday evening. It was pleasantly busy, despite that the food arrived quickly and was fantastic. Two tips: check the flue gas discharge of the fireplace, it smells very bad. And in addition, sorbet ice cream is a great alternative for people who cannot tolerate lactose. Add some fruit and voila!

Always a good meal, but tonight very disappointing. We all ate a steak that was very tough and full of veins. The tasty board was overly expensive for what you got and the quality was not outstanding. Unfortunately, the staff was more concerned with cleaning than with us.

Cozy, spacious and bright restaurant. Beautiful surroundings. Service smooth and friendly. Sufficient choice and variety on the menu. Exceptionally high prices for the dishes. Lunch not exceptional, but tasty. Bread simple and light/airy. Crispy chicken on bread was generously topped. Delicious homemade lemonades. Ideal place with children because of play facilities.

Mooie plek, mooi restaurant, vriendelijke bediening, maar de porties zijn belachelijk klein, zeker voor die prijs. Thuis nog maar even wat gekookt. Verkeerde soep gekregen en het eerste drankje pas gekregen na bestelling van het gerecht. Kan heel wat sneller want het was niet druk en veel personeel.

Bezoek 4 januari 2025 om 9:30h. Voor het eerst viel het tegen. Wij bestelden 4 ontbijtplankjes. Er werden er drie uitgeserveerd, 1 plankje was vol gestapeld voor twee personen. Om een bord voor de vierde persoon gevraagd. Om broodjes vanaf de tafel te nuttigen is toch wel ongemakkelijk. De eieren waren erg koud en blubberig, het eiwit was deels niet gestold. De eieren werden vervangen door warme goed gekookte eieren. Al met al een teleurstellende ervaring, dat zijn we niet gewend van de Venneper Lodge. De rookwolken van de open haard waren uitermate irritant. Dit was niet de eerste keer dat de open haard overlast veroorzaakte. Ditmaal geen fooi gegeven.

Tasty lunch, for a reasonable price.

I ordered a special coffee with soy milk but forgot to tell me that I cannot tolerate lactose. So it had regular whipped cream on it. That was recreated with no effort, no extra costs. Good service, especially suitable for children up to the age of 10 because of the play corner.

Went here on Boxing Day. Unfortunately, they could not handle the crowds: we often had to ask for new drinks ourselves, waited a very long time for a new course, children only got their food after the adults (and therefore had to wait about 5 minutes). Kids disappointed…. Steak was completely raw inside (and we asked for medium). Waitresses were running wild, super sweet, but they should have been protected by their boss: fewer tables should have been available or more people in the kitchen... Too bad this was a one-off for us.

We had a high tea with a group of colleagues. The food was tasty but clean, it was just enough. The tea is served per cup, we received a total of 2 cups of tea per person.

Had a nice seat again. A fireplace, a beer, a drink, a cup of tea... man, you can't have a bad time on such an afternoon in December

This was a really nice place to have lunch with my husband. The service was excellent and food and atmosphere was also nice.

The carpaccio was really tasty. The satay was on the spicy side for me, but the taste was good! Service came by enough for drinks and was polite. Definitely worth repeating.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch package with a group of about 15 people. Sandwiches, soup and delicious pastries. The wait staff was also very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely come here again!

Het was super lekker. Lisa was de beste medewerker die er was, ik zou naar haar vragen als u er bent. Ze is snel en behulpzaam.

Nice cozy place! You can come here for a pancake, but I come for the salads. The carpaccio salad in particular is great. Unfortunately, since there has been a new chef, I am no longer enthusiastic. Salad was downright bad. It looked like a bag of lettuce with chicken nuggets. So disappointed I haven't been there since (December 2023)

It's a pancake house, but they also have other dishes. Now on offer was a 3-course menu for 25 euros. Carpaccio, steak in gravy and lady blanche. There was no other option within that menu, but it appealed to us. You got fries and a few slices of bread for the gravy/butter. However, the gravy was quite tasteless, so it added little. You could also opt for sambal gravy, but I didn't dare, and I also assumed it would taste like browned butter, but I don't think that was real butter. Control response "oh". Since it was half the price, I have to say that I wouldn't have wanted to pay 50 euros per person for it. Not that it didn't taste good, the food was fine after adding salt and pepper to the starter and main course. And it was very nice that the dogs could come along. But we found it quite noisy, smoke from the fireplace also stung our eyes and it took quite a while before the dishes were cleared and we got the next thing. The restaurant was nowhere near full, so it was a shame that it was still quite slow. It's close by for us, so it's easy. But I wouldn't plan a romantic dinner for 2 here 😉

We came for High Tea here. Service was mostly fine and the location is beautiful. However, the soup wasn’t very warm, the sandwiches were very limited and the cakes/scones I could have bought myself at my local supermarket. There was no love put into this. All in all we were very disappointed. You could easily ask for more money but put something fresh on the menu. I think even the soup wasn’t very warm from a package, it didn’t taste fresh either.

Erg goede service en heerlijk gegeten. Voor mijn zus haar verjaardag met 5 personen gegeten. De gerechten die wij hadden waren: - burrata - carpaccio - lunch trio vlees - pannenkoek binnenste buiten - Pannenkoek pulled chicken

Voorheen kwamen we hier met plezier. De laatste keer viel het eten, maar ook de service zo tegen dat we hier niet meer komen. Zeer prijzige tournedos zonder enige vorm van kruiden in een plas smakeloze vocht dat voor jus zou moeten doorgaan. Na dit doorgegeven te hebben, kan er niks worden geregeld omdat de keuken, zonder aankondiging, al dicht was (rond 20.00). Hierdoor ook geen mogelijkheid om een tweede pannenkoek of nagerecht te bestellen.

Friendly waitress who went out of her way to help everyone almost single-handedly

We had to wait about 30 minutes for our drinks and everyone except my friend had received drinks and he waited 45 minutes for coffee. In addition, a high tea is listed for 22.5 pp on the site and we paid 172 euros for 7 people... food was more personal taste but it all took a very long time even though it was almost empty.

I had the Mr Lodge burger and I got a burger without a bottom but it was tasty

Large restaurant with a large terrace. Easy to reach. Good food and friendly and quick service. I don't think there is any need for music when it's so busy.

Om 17.00 gereserveerd voor 8 volwassenen en twee kinderen om 16.45 binnen. Konden gelijk plaats nemen, prima. Opnemen drankjes en uitserveren drankjes ging vlot. Daarna begint het gelazer. Duurde minstens een half uur voordat bestellingen werden opgenomen. Eerst voorgerecht, prima, tafel werd niet afgeruimd van drankjes. Ook nieuwe drankjes besteld. Wachten op de hoofdgerechten. Na 3 kwartier komen de eersten, dus niet alles tegelijk. De tweede serie komt 20min later? Toen was de eerste serie al klaar. En geen drankjes. Tweede serie uitgeserveerd en een kwartier later komen uiteindelijk de drankjes. Afruimen, behalve de startdrankjes? Bestellen desserts, ook weer meer dan een half uur wachten en die komen ook in twee shifts? Jammer dat er dan ook nog bij één van de kinderen een stuk hard en messcherp plastic in het ijs zit, maar dat hebben ze wel prima opgelost door het niet te berekenen. Het eten was verder goed het schortte alleen duidelijk aan de logistiek van het uitserveren. Jammer, maar frustreerde wel. Uiteindelijk vertrokken we om 20.00uur.

NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN During the whole period everything went well ! Food was good and we all enjoyed our timing ….however after spending more than 200 euros as part of a larger bill with fiends, we asked the waiter to fill with tap water the bottle of our little girl as we had a long trip back home. They did not want to do it and when complaining with the manager the excuse was that someone else had asked it before and they cannot simply do that for all the clients. Is it really the way you want to treat your clients ?? Myself as a restaurant owner in the past I find unacceptable to treat a client this way. Specially because the request was for a little kid and were the whole afternoon spending money in the restaurant . Absolutely disappointing….never coming back to this place again.

We were here via Social Deal, for high tea. We find the Venneper Lodge very attractive, but the high tea was disappointing. It was served a bit messily on a stand and no one was told what was there. Social Deal gives the official price as €34.50 and the deal price as €19.50, which gives completely wrong expectations, because even for €19.50 we found what was served limited.
