Super delicious and healthy bread! High quality from a real baker.

I was very dissatisfied with my visit to this bakery. The service was unfriendly, and the staff seemed unwilling to help customers. The bread wasn't fresh and tasted stale, definitely not what you'd expect from a traditional bakery. The prices are also high compared to the quality you get. It's a shame, but I won't be returning.

Always been super helpful with buying cakes, etc. for ages. But recently bought a cake for €36 (chocolate) cake! The cake tastes 100% like mocha cream, which is how it's supposed to be. The woman in the shop also tells you to be careful. There are two chocolate cakes, but one has mocha cream, so not chocolate. But you can't find this anywhere on the website; both are listed as (chocolate) cakes. I returned the cake because it was a birthday party. I paid an extra €35 for three chocolate slices, and I bought them elsewhere. Because of the misleading text, we should have been more careful. According to Verhoog, the woman in the shop says she always warns in the shop that there's a difference between the two chocolate cakes. One is chocolate. The other is with mocha cream. If you buy online, no one can tell you that mocha cream is used in one of the cakes. We find mocha absolutely disgusting. Then we would never have ordered a cake with mocha cream. Verhoog doesn't want to discuss it further, and we should have paid more attention. So we should warn them that there is indeed a difference: mocha doesn't taste like chocolate.

Used to be nice in Leiden but definitely worth a short drive

The cornbread tastes good. Unfortunately 2 less good experiences with other purchased products: Got 2 chocolate croissants this week, baked for far too long and very dry. Wasn't a success. Unfortunately not the way a croissant should be. Also recently brought home a marrow bone of which the chocolate on the sides had dried out and crumbled. These types of products are not worth repeating for me. Furthermore, the staff in the store helps nicely, so perhaps do a better job in the bakery?

Bread as bread should be... also applies to all other delicacies. Excellent quality and very friendly service. And all that for a fair price. In short.... recommended

Brood met kroket besteld, de kroketten waren veel te lang gebakken waardoor ze keihard waren en het werd geserveerd met oud bakken sneetjes bruinbrood.

Allerlekkerste Waldkornbrood! Alles hier is van hele goede kwaliteit en heel lekker.

Verhoog's, Beethovenlaan, Voorschoten: altijd geweldig (5 sterren) door staf en bakkerskwaliteit. Maar wat was er met het stokbrood vandaag (4 juli)? Niet knapperig, zelfs taai.

Lekker brood en alles wat je bij een bakker verwacht.
