We had another delicious meal on Boxing Day! And as always, the atmosphere was cozy and the staff friendly. Happy New Year to everyone, and see you in 2026!

We dined here on Boxing Day. We were very disappointed. The oxtail tips were overcooked, making them tough. The moussaka was from the day before and microwaved (we were told by the staff). As a result, the moussaka wasn't fresh and wasn't pleasant to eat. The pork tenderloin was cut in half and looked more like a thick schnitzel. In short, a disappointing experience for us!

We ate here yesterday on Boxing Day. The food was delicious, the service was good, although I did manage to get a beer, but that can happen. The service was also good. Unfortunately, my father fell outside and broke his hip. But the staff was immediately helpful. We were offered a drink while waiting for the ambulance, while my father was also waiting inside. Thanks a lot, and sorry for the inconvenience. See you next time! You deserve a 10!

A good Greek restaurant. Delicious food and relaxed service. We've been here about five times now, and we're always satisfied. Unfortunately, this time it was disappointing. Only after ordering were we informed of the mandatory minimum order of two courses per person, something we hadn't been informed about when we made the reservation by phone. The way this was presented seemed unfriendly and detracted from the experience. Advice: communicate this more clearly beforehand. The French fry sauce in a bag and fries that had been reheated multiple times also don't belong in a restaurant.

Delicious meals, both Greek and pasta. My grandchildren, aged 8 and 5, also loved it. Varied children's menu. Excellent service. We'd love to come back again.

One of the best Greek restaurants around Utrecht area. Dolmadakia, Dorade fish, Gyros plate was great. And we had Revani as a desert which is difficult to find..

We also received excellent advice on the various Greek wines; they really took their time with us – and they were absolutely delicious. Top-notch wines! And to finish, we enjoyed a delicious Grand Dessert. And let's not forget Ouzo. All in all, a fantastic evening. A big 10 from us! You can definitely expect us back soon. We sat upstairs, it is very narrow

The food was fine, and the service was friendly and attentive—I have no complaints there. However, when you're dining out, it's not ideal to have a laptop next to your table, where orders are coming in and it's covered in delivery bags. This really detracted from our evening out.

We had a wonderful meal with our guests from England. We started with traditional pita bread with tzatziki, followed by delicious meat dishes and fries. When we tried to order coffee, the staff member informed us that, because we hadn't ordered a starter, we needed to order dessert. I should have read this when making the reservation. I explained that I wasn't aware of this, and I couldn't find anything about it in the reservation. Ultimately, they deviated from the policy this time, and we were able to order coffee. Despite the delicious food in a pleasant setting, this still felt like a bit of a blemish on the evening.

The food was delicious. The atmosphere is modern, yet cozy. The service is good. One tiny drawback: almost every minute someone comes by to see if you need another drink. That's a bit much. But that was the only downside.

We had a delicious meal in a charming restaurant. The service was friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

A surprise awaited the four of us. A sleek, chic atmosphere awaited us, and we hadn't even eaten yet. It was delicious. Great presentation. Too little time. We'll definitely be back and will spread the word. Question: is there live music every Saturday and Sunday? Just as we were leaving, three tables of enthusiastic men came in. It did get louder then...

We received a friendly welcome, but weren't told our table had to be free again after an hour and a half. This should have been stated when we made the reservation. If that were the case, you wouldn't make your guests wait almost an hour for their first course! This left no time for a follow-up, and we were asked to leave in a very unfriendly manner. Furthermore, the food, especially the rice, was of subpar quality.

The restaurant was quite spacious, though a bit noisy. The welcome was friendly, but the service was somewhat inexperienced. Starters: one was reasonable, the other downright bad. We returned, discussed this, and were compensated accordingly. They said they were looking for a different supplier, but I wonder why, knowing the quality was inferior, you still offer it to your customers. The salmon carpaccio was the one in question. The main courses were delicious, but the gyros weren't crispy, and we had to order fries separately. A meager plastic bag of mayo was provided, which I find a bit stingy. The wine was fine. The chairs were uncomfortable for me, with a hard, straight backrest. This might have been due to my age. The menu was quite extensive with a wide selection, but the Greek dishes were no better than at other Greek restaurants. We wouldn't recommend it. We certainly won't be dining there again.

Friday, September 19th, we had a Greek night, with a slight Dutch twist. The food was excellent, the service friendly. The Rotterdam Greek singing duo was truly fantastic; they even sang their Dutch songs well. My former colleagues thought it was a fantastic evening in every way. We hope this evening will be repeated more often, just as often as the Dutch evenings...we will definitely be back.

Delicious food. Nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the fries were salty, and according to the staff, we had reported them too late. They didn't handle it very politely, so it was initially added to the bill, but they later took it off... just in an unfriendly way that I'm not used to. Otherwise, it was excellent, and I will definitely eat here again.

We dined at Vino e Pane for the first time. We were impressed by the atmosphere, the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, and the delicious food. The menu offers plenty of choice; we had a wonderful meal and would happily return to Vino e Pane.

Delicious food in a pleasant environment with a friendly atmosphere!

We've been coming here for years, but tonight was truly bad, never experienced anything like it before. We had a mixed grill, and huge chunks of gyros were lukewarm to cold. The lamb chops had blood coming out of them, and the fries weren't cooked through either. We told the waitress, and she said, "We always do lukewarm gyros, but I've never had that before." I went to Rhodes this summer, and the gyros were hot, as they should be! We were out within an hour, which is such a shame. They should pay more attention to the menus so guests can stay longer, because they eat you poor and drink you rich! Okay, thanks for your reply, but what you're saying isn't entirely accurate. We arrived at 10 to 6 and left at 7:45. And gyros can't cool down that quickly; it was 25 degrees outside! The people who got their food before us also had cold moussaka, so it wasn't our fault.

Today I ate at Vino e Pane for the first time...certainly not the last. The quality and preparation were truly exceptional. We had a delicious meal, and the service was also top-notch!

A perfect discovery during our trip near Utrecht.

The food was delicious and the service was generally friendly, but we felt a bit misled by the way things were run. Upon arrival, we were offered pita with herb butter and tzatziki with baguette. When I asked if these were combined and how much they cost, I didn't get a clear answer. It turned out to be two separate starters, costing a total of €11.70. This felt opaque – nowhere do restaurants offer two "starters" and charge separately for them. With a meat platter main course, you normally expect sauce to be included, but here we were charged €3.00 for some garlic sauce. A small portion of fries, priced at €4.20, also came with only one small sachet of mayonnaise; for an extra sachet, we had to pay another €0.50. That felt excessive. When I raised this issue (especially with the starters), the waitress was unsympathetic. She referred to the "policy" and indicated that we hadn't listened properly and that it was our own responsibility. It's not about the extra money, but about the communication. This experience leaves a misleading impression. It would be better if menus were more clearly priced or slightly more expensive, so guests know what to expect. The pricing structure and the way extras are charged give me the impression that they're focused on extra sales without transparency, instead of customer service and clarity. NB: I also indicated in the conversation that I would post a review about this.

Super tasty food, an evening at Jamas

Pleasant, friendly service despite the crowd. The food/meat wasn't exceptional; the meat was a bit dry/greasy. The side order of fries was greasy and limp. The dessert was fine. The price-quality ratio was poor.

A modern, sleek restaurant with a loft and a bar. Excellent seating and a large terrace. An extensive menu, in which the owner introduces himself in a friendly manner. He also took the time to offer wine recommendations. The wine list can be viewed via a QR code. "This way, we keep the options up-to-date," they explained. And the prices, I thought. But who can blame the hospitality industry after the pandemic? I recommend the Hermes meat dish. But my table companions were also enthusiastic about the other dishes in the photos: fish dish and lamb dish. The latter, like several other dishes, comes in a beautiful iron pan. My compliments to the owner, but also to the service: smart attire. Friendly and helpful. Update June 2025. The question always is: is a review a snapshot? Or is there consistent quality? My first review was for my grandson's passing his final exams. Now, our granddaughter also chose Vino e Pane for the same celebratory occasion. And my conclusion after the celebratory dinner remains unchanged: 5 stars in every way. My repeat choice, the Hermes dish, was excellent again, and my table companions were full of praise for the steak, salmon, and chicken skewers.

The food was fine, although some things were forgotten. We also weren't told about the extremely loud music. Furthermore, an employee at the back of the bar had the nerve to tell us not to come when we commented on this! We found that downright rude. Luckily, we were sitting outside, where it was okay. The rest of the service was excellent!

It's always good here. In all these years, we've never been disappointed. We've had some delicious wine with some truly delicious dishes.

Very nice Greek restaurant in hot spot Houten with great service. Tasty moussaka, souvlaki and gyros. Firework on top of our son’s ice cream for his birthday. Higly recommended.

Service is smooth and pleasant, nice terrace, tournedos is tender. Downside: the fried squid rings were tough and the crispy layer was also strange in consistency.

The food was fine but the service did ruin it for us. It started off really well but some small things went wrong with the tickets and then we suddenly got multiple courses at the same time. The staff seemed angry about this and I understand the frustration, but I had the feeling that they were angry with me for the rest of the evening. I also saw things going wrong at other tables, such as forgotten cutlery and such. Once we had the bill, I got up after fifteen minutes to go inside because no one came to let me pay (if that has to be done inside, that's fine too, but put it somewhere on the receipt). There was also smoking on the terrace and personally I prefer dinner to be smoke-free.

Excellent restaurant with many different dishes. The service is in one word great, very friendly, fast and knowledgeable employees. Even got something to drink from employees. The food was delicious and was served hot by friendly staff. The dessert consisted for me of strawberries / vanilla ice cream / sauce and whipped cream (this was not on the menu) But at my request, it tasted delicious. We will definitely go there again!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Great local place, amazing Greek food. The waiters are nice and understand English. The meats good and there are lots of options. It’s a great place with lots of seating. Very modern. There’s a long wait when it’s busy but otherwise it’s great.

Good food, Friendly staff. In terms of atmosphere, we only missed Greek music and a welcome drink from the ouso. That is usually the case at a Greek restaurant. And nice for the atmosphere. But after request, the table was nicely decorated with 1 rose, a heart balloon, and hearts made of paper and a nice spot in the corner. Because of 25 years of marriage.

Very cozy restaurant with good food and excellent staff

It had been 1.5 hours before we had our starter, which was simply bruchetta, tzatziki and feta saganaki. Saganaki was good rest mediocre. We were asked for the main course if we wanted it straight after it, well yes, please, then we waited another 1:15 hours for the main course, which were all dry and lukewarm. Service for drinks also took a long time. Will never go back here again!
