The cooking is performed at a very high level and with a great deal of Greek love by grill master Jannis, his mother, and cousins!! Truly a family restaurant with occasional Dutch and Greek evenings featuring live music.

We had a delicious meal; the staff is friendly and professional. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful central location and there is plenty of choice on the menu. There is a terrace when the weather is nice. You can tell they do this with passion.

The food was good. However, if you want something different from what is described on the menu, you have to pay extra! Very strange, I've never experienced that anywhere else! Half of the sliced ​​baguette with the starter was hard/stale. It had been sitting there for a while. I mentioned it and they said I could get new baguette, but I didn't want it. Otherwise, the food was good. And I want to give a huge compliment to the young man who served us! He did such a good job!

My meal (Hermes platter) was fine, but my girlfriend's (who had ordered a ribeye and medium rare) was really bad. Blood was still coming out of it everywhere. It was inedible, she said later.

It was wonderfully quiet and the food was good. The meat could have been a little warmer. Music with a modern style; heard very little given the crowds.

We had a truly delicious meal! We had the shared menu for 4 people, which was extended to 6 without any problem. We were able to make extra choices to suit the children's tastes. The meat and all the side dishes were truly top quality and prepared exceptionally well and tastily. Compliments, and I will definitely be back.

The food at Vino e Pane is good. Unfortunately, the evening was overshadowed by an unpleasant situation with the staff. After we had finished eating and indicated that we did not want dessert, a staff member came to our table to tell us that we were required to order a dessert because we had not ordered a starter. Apparently, a minimum rule of two courses applies on Saturdays. There is a sentence about this somewhere on the website, but we were not told anything about it upon arrival. Had we known this beforehand, we would have simply ordered a starter; no problem. But being informed *after* the meal, and then being told that we should have known this ourselves, does not feel like hospitality. Staff member Ibrahim stood his ground until he finally decided to let it go. The rule itself is unusual. The way it was communicated, or rather the lack thereof, turned an otherwise pleasant evening into an unpleasant one. It is a shame, because the food deserves better. We will not be returning.

Food good and more than enough. Service friendly. However, serving the next dishes takes a bit long. But then again, with good company it's not that bad. All in all, highly recommended.

The welcome is always warm, the drinks are served promptly, and the staff checks very carefully if the glasses need refilling. Even though the restaurant was packed, the ordered starters were served quickly, as were the main course and dessert. If you go out to eat to have a good time and enjoy delicious food, then Vino e Pane is the place to go!

First impression (this was my first time here): a beautiful, modern place. It is full; a good sign. The staff is particularly friendly and efficient. They are well-organized and ask about your preferences—without being pushy. I had a Bifteki platter and have never eaten such delicious Bifteki in a Greek restaurant before. The other six members of our 'group' also enjoyed their dishes. The value for money is excellent! In short: we will definitely be back!

Everything you expect from a Greek restaurant, but also a wide selection of dishes for enthusiasts. For meat, but also fish and vegetarians. Fortunately, it is within cycling distance, so you can also enjoy the drinks menu.

We had another wonderful time sitting and eating there; we celebrated our 21st anniversary of the GPS with a lovely dinner.

Had a good meal, but we missed an additional sauce with the plate containing multiple types of meat. Less Greek than I remember from other restaurants. Friendly staff, though a bit young/less experienced. Tip: just put up all the parasols when it is so hot.

I ordered a gyros sandwich and Tagliatelle al Filetto for 35 euros; the food was super tasty! But for this amount, I do expect a full container of food. The container was filled to 60%. Unfortunately, there was one loose hair in the gyros sandwich.

There were 4 of us and it was absolutely fantastic! We were the last to leave the terrace and that was perfectly fine with the staff! We weren't stared at or anything. So, everything was great!

We enjoyed eating outside. It did take a bit long before we could order. Because one of us eats gluten-free, no halloumi was included with the vegetarian dish, as it is deep-fried in the same oil used for other dishes. However, nothing else was substituted. Halloumi is gluten-free and can simply be fried; that would have been an option. Fortunately, when we asked about this, we were given a small plate of feta on the side. The vegetarian dish was not fully warm. The Hermes platter was delicious. Tip: change the menu sometime, because for years there has only been one choice if you are vegetarian. With the Dame Blanche, you expect hot chocolate over the ice cream, not some kind of chocolate tova from a bottle; a shame.

You always have a fantastic meal at this restaurant! The staff is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is excellent. Highly recommended!

We had another delicious meal at Vino & Pane. We always receive a warm welcome and the atmosphere is always very pleasant. The owner is an excellent host; you really feel welcome. The food was delicious again. It's a place I love taking my guests.

I ordered bruschetta. I didn't find it particularly special. I missed the tasty Italian herbs, such as (fresh) oregano, fresh basil, quality olive oil, etc. After that, a tasty T-bone steak, medium rare. I liked it. I didn't like the salad that came with it. My family had something else; it looked tastier and tasted delicious too. We did enjoy the atmosphere and the very good service. Thank you!

I've already eaten there twice in the past month. And it will surely happen even more often! The food is delicious, truly genuinely fresh; unlike many other Greek restaurants, this one is genuinely fresh! Super friendly staff, they help well with questions about the food, a nice young team, and the owners are also in the restaurant themselves, which to me is a sign that they are on top of things and thus guarantee the quality. Fine restaurant with very friendly staff. I have little experience with Greek cuisine myself, so it is difficult for me to judge the quality. In any case, everything was fresh and I found the service very polite. I do miss some Greek atmosphere, but that is likely a deliberate choice.

I've eaten Bifteki everywhere in Europe. Here, it's truly amazing. The Ouzo was also top-notch. A lovely experience during Easter dinner after a long day of hard work!

The service was nice; with the mandatory 3-course menu, there was quite a bit of time between the starter and the main course, but we could live with it. It was a pleasant atmosphere, and we could chat, which was fine when the music took a break, as it was quite loud for some. But overall, it was okay. The food was delicious. Fortunately, we were able to pay separately as a group. A mere €5 was paid, which the owner gifted to us; that was fantastic. Luckily, everyone tipped well, so there was no loss on our part. We always enjoy visiting Vino e Pane in Houten.

Had a nice evening and the food was delicious. The chef took plenty of time to discuss allergies. The only downside is that they refuse to serve tap water. I always find that very disappointing, especially when you are dining with wine and have two small children with you. This forces you to order bottled water, with all the associated environmental impact of packaging and transport.

We had a delicious meal for two. Highly recommended for grilling and also for smaller bites. The restaurant is nicely situated in an accessible location by car, bike, and public transport. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. And the interior is truly top-notch! The music also sounds good and is not disruptive while dining.

I had a different kind in mind, I think the rack of lamb—a small, delicious piece of meat with a long, thin bone—but that wasn't the case. I don't like this shape of lamb chops... but anyway, my own fault. The service is friendly, just too busy for us. You don't really sit there relaxing to eat with so much noise and hustle and bustle around you, and the waitresses kept walking past me to serve because, due to the many tables, that is the only way. Vino e Pane is a piece of Greek magic! The food is authentic and delicious, the service is warm, and the ambiance is cozy. Truly a place for a lovely evening of Greek food with friends or family. Their gyros and moussaka are a must-try. Worth five stars!

We had a great meal, a lovely and cozy evening. It just doesn't feel like Southern European/Greek hospitality. Tip for the (new?) owner: make your guests feel welcome (have a quick chat and/or pour a small glass of ouso, play some music 😉). A small, simple gesture, a 100% added experience!

When ordering our main course, we were told that they have a minimum order of two courses on weekends. This wasn't mentioned to us when we made our reservation by phone. That would have been polite. The food was okay. We had the gyros platter. Luckily, it wasn't too salty. There were quite a few chunks of meat, though. The fries were mediocre: quite soaked in oil. The tiramisu was a large portion and didn't seem homemade. After that, the staff really looked away from us. We arrived late (8:00 PM) and didn't keep any tables occupied. After our last tea break, they came by at least three times, and the last time, there was some squabbling among themselves about staying seated. So, after half an hour of chatting, we left. All in all: the food was okay, nothing special. The service was mediocre.

We made a reservation for two on Valentine's Day. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with balloons and was quite busy, so we had to wait a bit longer for food and drinks, but if you're not in a hurry, that's not a problem. A nice menu with a variety of dishes that were very good, and the portions were generous. We received dessert as a doggy bag.

We had a delicious meal, and the service was friendly. We sat at a table for two near the long bench. To be honest, the bench isn't suitable for taller guests. It's quite low, and the seat is too short. This made it difficult for me to sit comfortably. Another delicious meal, but I won't be sitting on that bench again.

We dined here on Boxing Day. We were very disappointed. The oxtail tips were overcooked, making them tough. The moussaka was from the day before and microwaved (we were told by the staff). As a result, the moussaka wasn't fresh and wasn't pleasant to eat. The pork tenderloin was cut in half and looked more like a thick schnitzel. In short, a disappointing experience for us!

We ate here yesterday on Boxing Day. The food was delicious, the service was good, although I did manage to get a beer, but that can happen. The service was also good. Unfortunately, my father fell outside and broke his hip. But the staff was immediately helpful. We were offered a drink while waiting for the ambulance, while my father was also waiting inside. A good Greek restaurant. Delicious food and relaxed service. We've been here about five times now, and we're always satisfied. Unfortunately, this time it was disappointing. Only after ordering were we informed of the mandatory minimum order of two courses per person, something we hadn't been informed about when we made the reservation by phone. The way this was presented seemed unfriendly and detracted from the experience. Advice: communicate this more clearly beforehand. The French fry sauce in a bag and fries that had been reheated multiple times also don't belong in a restaurant.

Delicious meals, both Greek and pasta. My grandchildren, aged 8 and 5, also loved it. Varied children's menu. Excellent service. We'd love to come back again.
