V.O.F. Café "aan de Grens" in Wijk 08 Swalmen

Very bad. We were staying across the street at the campsite and wanted to get some fries (it says on the campsite that this is possible). The answer we got was, "No, that's not possible, we're stuck, we don't have time for that." We looked around, there were only four tables, but no, it wasn't happening. "I'm not going to argue with you," she said, turning around. The other guests also looked very surprised. "The campsite "on the border" was fantastic, but they'll never see us again at this location." Downright rude. She told us to drive or cycle to the village.

Terrible people. 0 service. Rowing with oars that aren't there.

A traditional cafe with a rich history and delicious food. The service is excellent, even for the dogs (biscuits, water, a quiet table in the back—everything is taken care of). Lots of homemade products, truly value for money!

A very good restaurant with special pork tenderloin slices and a delicious satay sauce. Very friendly service.

We had a delicious meal here. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. After dinner, we received helpful information about nature walks around this beautiful spot, as well as other natural attractions in Limburg. Finally, I've never seen such a charming dog bar.

So, for a stopover on your bike, it's always recommended. Special fries with super delicious Dutch mayo – a treat for the palate. We shared a plate with two people, which wasn't a problem in Holland. We also had two drinks each, because it was so hot and we'd already done 20km. The service was super friendly and there was nothing forced about it. Keep it up – we were very satisfied.

Great reception, owner who is very friendly, husband is in the kitchen, time has stood still in terms of decor but the food was delicious! Freshly made soup, steak nicely medium fried with mushrooms and delicious pepper sauce, more than enough crispy fries with salad and pieces of fruit, nice beer and wine, owner came several times to ask if it was tasty and enough, great!

Had a super fun evening with friends. Delicious food, price-quality ratio is very good. Nothing was too much and they are all very nice and there is a living room atmosphere. Top.

Just good old-fashioned fun. Had a delicious cup of coffee with pie from the bakery. The homemade pea soup was also good!

Old-fashioned cozy (village) cafe outside the built-up area and located at the former border crossing Swalmen - Schwalmtal. Included in the Maas-Schwalm cycle route, it is a welcome break for those who visit this piece of nature reserve by bike. The dishes are prepared in a traditional way in our own kitchen and purchased from the local farm shop, butcher and baker.

A nice cafe, right on the border. We often travel in the border area, where you can get something delicious to eat or just drink. It's just beautiful here, the road isn't too busy either. When the weather is nice you can sit outside on the terrace anyway. Many cyclists take a break here, a great area for cycling. Hiking is also common, so it's good that the café is usually open from midday onwards and you can fortify yourself.

Informeel cafe met een eerlijke keuken. Goede gastvrouw. Beschikt over een groot overdekt terras en ze schenken een verdomd goed biertje. Vlak bij de duitse grens dus makkelijk om meteen te gaan tanken.

Zeer behulpzaam personeel, waar de klant nog als gast wordt behandeld. Goede keuken overigens!

Sehr schön für eine kleine Pause. Liegt aber direkt an der Straße. Bedienung spricht deutsch und ist freundlich.

Sehr schöne Bar/Restaurant. Großer Aussenbereich mit angrenzenden Parkplatz. Rollstuhlgeeignet und beim ersten Blick behindertengerecht. Super freundliche und nette Bedienung. Das Softeis ist ein Besuch wert 😉 Bis zum nächsten Mal liebe Holländische Nachbarn💚

Als gasten van de camping aan de overkant . Hier gegeten heerlijke verzorgde maaltijd . Klant vriendelijk personeel aanrader .

Leuke plek om ff te rusten of kleinigheidje te eten / drinken. Leuke bediening.

Gezellig café. Heerlijke bitterballen en vriendelijke "waardin".

Heerlijke koffie met Limburgse vlaai en een ongelofelijk vriendelijke gastvrouw!

Gezellig en ongedwongen sfeer. Heerlijk gegeten het is een hele goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. We komen zeker nog terug.

Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Essen war sehr gut. Es hat sich gelohnt dieses Cafe/Restaurant einmal zu besuchen.

Goed asperges eten, komen uit gouda steeds voor terug

Het was een rare ervaring. De mevrouw leek wat gestrest. Eten kon maar tot half 8 en ik was er ca 5 uur. Dus als ik wat wilde eten kon het alleen als ik het meteen deed. En in verband met de warmte waren er geen gekookte groenten. Ook de vegetarische schotel was er niet. Je zou extra salade krijgen. Nou dragons ik wel tegenvallen. De hoeveelheid in verhouding tot de prijs. Toegegeven ze deden hun best. Maar prijs kwaliteit verhouding vond ik niet kloppen. Zeker niet in verhouding met mijn ervaring een dag later in een eetcafé in Lottum! En vorig jaar was ik er ook naar toen was het - ook in Corona tijd- rustiger en beter. Jammer!

Kleine kaart met eenvoudige gerechten. Schnitzel met gebakken champignons, salade en gebakken aardappeltjes, vers en goed bereid. Een ijsje boerenjongens toe. Prijs kwaliteit uitstekend, gezellige bediening, aanrader.

Geen uitgebreide kaart, maar wel goede keus. Ik heb vegetarische pasta gekozen. Met echt verse champignons en groente klaargemaakt. Heerlijk!!! En vriendelijke bediening. Kortom aanrader. Bovendien echt Limburgs bier: Lindeboom van de tap of uit fles, alle soorten!!!

Avondmaaltijd genuttigd. De gerechten zijn eenvoudig maar zeer smakelijk en bereid met eerste klas ingrediënten. Dus een malse, forse biefstuk, een niet overmatig gepaneerde goede schnitzel, lekker bakje salade en wat goed bereide warme groenten. En de wijn is goed, de glazen vol. En dat alles voor een schappelijke prijs. Hier komen we terug.
