Great food. Excellent service. The only restaurant that keeps up with the quality along the years and always serving with love. Long live Warung Mini!!

The food tastes good, and you can take any leftovers home. The service isn't attentive to the guests and isn't very friendly. Since the renovation, the sauces, which are standard with the dishes, are no longer on the table, but you have to pay extra. As with many restaurants, the service is getting worse and worse while you're paying more and more. It's actually getting worse every time, which is a real shame.

I found it cozy. Nice atmosphere.

The bami and saoto soup were bland and lacking in depth. The baka bana was also a disappointment: 1 cm of dough for half a centimeter of banana. For what they serve, this is truly an outrageous price. The price and quality are completely out of proportion. It's a shame, I'll try it once, never again.

This used to be a five-star place, but since you have to order the pepper separately afterward, I find it really inconvenient. You can't specify how much you want when ordering, meaning you have to get up from your table and queue at the cash register to buy more while your soup gets cold. When your food is on the table, you want to sit back and enjoy it. The packaging doesn't help either: those small bags just create a mess at the table, give it a bit of a McDonald's feel, and make it difficult to portion. I find that a shame and really unsuitable for a restaurant like this. The food itself is still quite good. However, mistakes have been made more often lately. You also have to order everything separately these days, otherwise you get your dishes in a strange order and not at the same time, meaning one person might be eating while another hasn't, or you might start with your main course, or a table full of everything at once, which in turn makes certain things cold and makes you feel like you have to eat very quickly. Despite this, I still think you get the best saoto, best cod (not too salty, cucumber just right), and best telo terie here. I really hope they continue to focus on quality and customer service, because that's what always made this place so good.

A few years ago, this was a fantastic place to eat in and get takeout, but things have changed dramatically in the past year. The quality of the meat has deteriorated: it's become incredibly tough lately, making the chicken roti and sandwiches unlike anything else. Portions have gotten smaller, while prices have remained the same.

What a terrible place this has become! Both in terms of food and staff! I've been coming here happily for years. They don't treat you with respect at all! One tip: hire staff who WANTS to work, not because they HAVE to! Constantly making disgusting facial expressions, yuck! I ended up arguing with the woman who "helped" us. Totally unreasonable! She treated us with disrespect. The food was served cold. We ended up leaving it and leaving. If it were possible to give less than one star, I definitely would! In short, NEVER AGAIN! And I definitely advise others not to go here again.

I've eaten here many times and never had any complaints, but today I got my order wrong and then it was served with raw chicken, and after eating I now have to throw up and go to the toilet.

We went yesterday at 9:10 am for a Sauto. The place was still two-thirds full, so we couldn't order to eat there, only takeout. The staff was very cold and not very service-oriented. It was a busy place, and while they could heat up the food so I could eat it outside, I couldn't even sit there in that crowded place. I don't need to go to Warung Mini Den Haag anymore! Judging by the reviews from last week, I certainly don't. I drove to Fatkee and was greeted and had a friendly meal!

My girlfriend and I dined here yesterday, and we were treated incredibly poorly. The staff showed absolutely no respect, and instead of handling our complaint professionally, they argued with us as if we were the problem. Customer service was completely absent, and the way we were treated was unacceptable and demeaning. The sandwiches were also very stingy, cold, and hardened after a few seconds. As a guest, you expect normal service and decency, but here they didn't listen to us at all, and we were fobbed off with a very unprofessional attitude. This is absolutely no way to treat customers.

For me, Warung Mini was the best Surinamese restaurant I'd ever had. Every chance I got, I went there, even if I had to wait an hour for a table. I absolutely had to eat at Warung Mini! Until last week, we don't go there anymore. Unfortunately, the business has deteriorated so incredibly. The food is clearly no longer made with love and passion, and the staff would rather be at home than working. I'd say if it's become too much or they're no longer interested, sell your business while it still has a name to someone who can make it something good, because that will really ruin the reputation. Incidentally, I find it a bit ridiculous that people complain about the sambal you have to pay for. Everything is expensive these days, and if you don't want to spend money when you eat out, you should eat at home.

I hate to say it, but I really hope something happens. I ordered a soato twice and was very disappointed with the broth. It didn't even come close to what it was supposed to taste like. This wasn't as it should be. On the other hand, your location in Kijkduin is beyond reproach. That soato was perfect. Hats off to the Kijkduin location. I'm going to try it again today 🤞🏿

It's a shame you're charging for everything now. I'm sorry, I find it unacceptable that if you order soto soup, you now have to pay for all the sauces that usually come with it. And the soup bowls are really small for the price you pay. Especially compared to what you're used to getting, this isn't even half the price. I'm sorry, I've been coming to your place for over 20 years. This is a bit of a shame.

Never again here, you're completely ignored. Can't even get a hello. I almost feel bad about getting takeout there.

I was satisfied with how everything went. Because I'd made the reservation in advance, I received immediate confirmation with an exact time. That gave me peace of mind, because I knew exactly what to expect. The whole process ultimately took about half an hour to 45 minutes, which I actually thought was quite reasonable. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that everything was well-organized. I didn't have to wait and could pick up my items right away. This gave me the feeling that my reservation had been taken seriously and that they really take their customers' schedules into account. I considered that a big plus. One thing I didn't like was the parking. There's very little space for parking and picking up items, which can feel a bit chaotic. You really have to pay close attention, because it can get tight quickly. That's definitely something they could improve on. I also thought the service was excellent: everything was checked and handled properly, so I was sure everything was correct. The staff were friendly and clear in their communication. I think the price is a bit high, but I have to say the quality and service you get in return are excellent. It's not the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for. All in all, I look back on a positive experience: well-organized, clear, and efficient. Only the parking... that's definitely an area for improvement.

It's not what it used to be. The food isn't good anymore. I ordered nasi telo sauto sandwiches, and only the telo was good. I also found it odd that you have to pay for sambal these days; it's just part of the meal. Luckily, dawet was also good, but this was the last time.

This was my first time trying Surinamese food. Chicken soup, chicken skewers, fried rice, potato chips, and marinated fish pieces—everything was delicious. They provide a variety of sambal sauces to accompany your meal. The spicy sambal is incredibly spicy, so you'll need to sample a little before deciding how much is right for you. It's delicious and affordable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. If I visit The Hague again, I'll definitely try some of their other dishes.

The taste is good. It's a shame that half the meat sandwich is cold. The owner insists on giving me a new sandwich, but the lady behind the sandwiches refused to acknowledge that the sandwich was cold. And then nothing happens. I'm not interested in a new sandwich, but claiming the sandwich is warm when I clearly have a half-cold, half-warm sandwich is a shame. An apology is the least I can do. The service isn't worth a star.

Tonight I went to Warung Mini with my girlfriend. She really wanted to eat there, so I tried to make it a good one. But what happened really destroyed me mentally. We sat there for far too long, uncomfortable and ignored. When my food finally arrived (a simple spring roll), it was cold inside. Ice cold. I pointed it out, cautiously, hopefully. But no one did anything. Not a look, not an apology. Just emptiness. I felt less valuable than a mackerel sandwich at that moment. The staff seemed disinterested, jaded. As if my presence was completely unimportant. As if I could just disappear forever and no one would care. And the atmosphere there… that made it even harder. The people around us, the looks, the discomfort… I didn't feel safe at all. As if I was in the wrong place, as if I wasn't welcome, and as if I was being harassed by the policy. I want to be honest, this was more than just a bad meal. It felt like a blow to my mental health. Like something inside me broke, something small that was already fragile. I can't take it anymore. It hit me where I was already weak. I've never felt so down and sad, and because of that, I won't be able to sleep tonight. Warung Mini wasn't just disappointing. It was painful. Deep, empty, cold. As if I should never have been there. Never again.

Delicious Surinamese food for the enthusiast.

The food is very tasty but it is always very busy.

I'm bummed to have to write this, because this place was my go-to for Surinamese food for years. Truly worthy of 5 stars, without a doubt. But lately, it feels like something has changed—and not for the better. The flavors aren't what they used to be. The chicken tastes bland and is clearly microwaved. You used to taste that fresh, homemade touch; now it feels almost industrial. And then there are the prices: everything has become more expensive, which is okay, but then you expect top quality. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case here. And seriously... sambal? It used to be on the table. Now you have to pay extra. That feels stingy and actually breaks the warm feeling this place always had. The service is still okay, but the overall experience just isn't what it used to be. Such a shame. I really hope they go back to their roots, because the potential is still there.

The food has been absolutely fantastic here for years. The people are very friendly. The ordering process has been automated for a few years now. That makes it a bit less personal.

Had this beef with fried rice to-go, nasi something. Didn't realise Surinamese food is essentially very similar to Indonesian food, so it's like nasi goreng. It was delicious and the sambal is actually spicy even for an Asian tongue, which is great. Highly recommended. The place was too crowded with a long queue for dine-in, so I had takeaway. It also looked fairly cramped and stuffy in the summer to be honest. But the food is great.

It doesn't matter what you get. The food is still delicious.

The atmosphere is cozy and you immediately feel welcome. In addition, the owner is a really great guy. An honest, hard-working man who runs his business with passion and earns every cent double and triple. I like to support such entrepreneurs! I will definitely come back here more often — recommended!

Saoto soup used to be tastier, nowadays it tastes like saltwater, nasie and bami flavor and the quantity has gone down a lot and yet everything is more expensive. A certain Arzu writes that he drives 100 KM to come to Warung Mini, certainly a family member who gives such a positive and slimy review.

Yesterday ordered and picked up sandwiches at Warung mini Den Haag, however, they now put the sandwiches pre-packaged in a drawer and you get them like that. The sandwiches used to be heated in a sandwich maker but now in the microwave which makes for hard/old sandwiches. Paid €20 for 4 old sandwiches. Unfortunately the quality is clearly deteriorating, you get much less food, but increasingly expensive prices! And that you have to pay for half a tablespoon of sambal, sorry but ridiculous!

In the meantime I understand that it is a lot less here than it used to be via the reviews, so I leave the restaurant alone. Too bad because it used to be really delicious here!!

First time trying Surinamese food and it was a great experience! The place is clean and casual, the food was fresh, full of flavor, and very reasonably priced. I really liked the sweet coconut drink; definitely worth a try! Service was warm and attentive.

Lokatie is prima, eten heerlijk maarrrrr.... elke keer, en dat is denk ik maandelijks, zijn de hoeveelheden steeds minder?!? Niet meer in verhouding tot de prijs. Echt jammer want het is echt lekker. Op zoek naar een ander dus maar.

A shame for all Javanese, a shame for Sranang! Just make it a food depot for vagrants and junkies! They will also complain, but at least you are doing something right! Service not always cheerful and “too slow”. You will not be warmly welcomed!! It's more like having a free table, sit, eat and leave because the next one is waiting. On our last visit here, they brought the order to the table, only 1 starter out of 3 and not even the drinks until I had to ask half an hour later. Afterwards +/- 40 minutes later they bring everything at once. Quite unprofessional if you order starters and main courses. Toilets are not maintained during opening hours and are not clean, which is a shame!! From puddles on the floor and a clogged sink that just doesn't overflow! So washing your hands was not really possible. I ordered 2 empty containers, because you can order and pay online, but you will not receive a receipt. Then you will be looked at askance if you say that you ordered 2 containers instead of 1!! Food is no longer the same as it used to be! Less flavor which is a shame! You shouldn't come here for the atmosphere or customer friendliness! 👍🏼👎🏻

Don't know if it's just me, but you now get less food than before, even though the prices have gone up. Food is ok. Staff really need to take a hospitality training/course... especially a guy who is always behind the counter usually... he doesn't even smile, he always looks angry.

Telo codfish very dried out old fish

In tegenstelling hoe het voorheen was was het nu ronduit slecht. 2 stukken bot met minimaal stukje kip eraan. Bestellen op zich mooi systeem maar je mist en persoonlijk contact en als je eventueel wat te vragen hebt dan gaat dat ook niet. Daarbij voelde de nasi nogal droog aan en het bakje met saus (geen idee hoe dat heet) zit er ook niet meer bij. De bestelling werd wel redelijk snel aan tafel geleverd. Wij hebben netjes gewacht totdat er iemand zou komen om je een tafel te wijzen echter kan je dan lang wachten want er komt niemand. Pas al je je zelf meldt wordt je gezegd waar je kan plaatsnemen. Kortom, op deze manier snel geld willen verdienen jaag je je klanten weg. Ik ga hier voorlopig niet meer naar toe.

I ordered my food at 4:26 PM to pick it up at 7:00 PM. When I arrived at 6:55 PM I ended up having to wait until 7:25 PM before I got my order. The waiting time was absurdly long, this happens often. Very disappointing!

Delicious satay and satay soup, along with all the other delicacies with a Surinamese recipe.

Even though the prices have risen dramatically compared to previous years, the food is still delicious! Authentic Surinamese dishes with spicy and especially flavorful flavors. Sandwiches, snacks, drinks Some days the eatery can get very busy, with a long line of people waiting for their order. Warung Mini is highly recommended for connoisseurs of Surinamese cuisine!

Really ridiculous, I had to wait 50 minutes for a spring roll, satay and a sandwich! And then say that that is normal because the spring roll needs to be fried. I can pay €8 parking costs for this joke! That guy knew damn well he was telling me Bs. It must have gone wrong somewhere, I would have at least paid some of my parking costs as a good little helper. You have lost me as a customer.

It's just very tasty, no-nonsense Surinamese food.

The food was excellent. We had lamb roti with extra beef, beef nasi with extra lamb, two saoto soups, two dawet dishes, and two soft drinks. We also had a chicken curry sandwich to take home. The portions were large, with generous amounts of meat, just the way I like it. The saoto was also well-filled, and the roti was also very generous. And honestly, the price, taste, and volume were perfectly balanced for us. The owner (I think) served us; he's a really nice gentleman. I was literally back in Suriname, and my oldest son said this man could have been an uncle or relative of ours. This little extra bit of extra sweetened the price, and in my opinion, it was worth every euro. The restaurant is a bit small, but very cozy. It's clean and tidy, and the staff were well-groomed and presentable. Brada, we'll be back from Alkmaar to visit you very soon. And I hope to see you then too. Good luck with the business.

It used to be a great place to eat, but since 2025, 1) everything has gotten more expensive, 2) portions are smaller, and 3) worst of all: you have to pay for small plastic bags of sauce and sambal. Isn't that environmentally friendly? And the service has unfortunately deteriorated as well. It's a shame, though, because the food is and remains delicious!

You have to pay for the pepper and soy sauce you order with your sauto soup, which also comes in awkward bags that are difficult to open. On top of that, you order impersonally via a QR code. It's definitely a step backwards compared to the past.

Last time saoto soup was not very tasty

Got a takeout meal today: Bami chicken. Disappointed, the bami had no flavor and was hard. The chicken was inedible; it tasted of onions, which was really bad. Only the bakabana was okay.

Ordered food for the tour places. 1 x Bami with satay 1 x Roti chicken fillet. We arrived at 1735 and waited 25 minutes for our food. The food was fine. Not very special but certainly not bad either. Just a sufficient 7.5. We took our food with us and ate it at home. There was also an option to eat on site. It was quite busy. Parking in front of the door is a problem. It is very busy. If you want to eat there, you can park your car across the street in the garage. Please note that the garage is quite expensive. Tip for if you want to pick up food! Order it in advance by phone or online to save a 25 minute wait.

Normally you are used to your food coming quickly. But nowadays waiting 50 minutes for your food is the new normal at warung. Horrible bags of sambel that are hard to open.
