Wok Inn Veghel in Veghel

While the staff is friendly, they're often overly friendly. Hygiene-wise, it's a particularly poor restaurant. Cooking utensils are "cleaned" with dirty cloths that may have been sitting there for days. The extractor hoods are grimy, and after being placed on the stovetop, raw meat is quickly touched with the same utensils used for cooking, and the same utensils are also used for "cleaning." Cold dishes aren't kept cold enough, and preheated dishes aren't kept warm enough. Plates are dried very poorly, resulting in them being served half-wet. Drinking glasses aren't always washed properly either; I had a few whose water tasted like dish soap. And I haven't even seen the kitchen yet. Hygiene is clearly lacking there. The cooks are all covered in burns, so stir-frying isn't exactly safe. Incidentally, in these times of social distancing, that was practically impossible. Everything you wanted from the wok, grill, and griddle had to be handed over or placed there and waited until it was ready. This meant you'd be standing in a large group huddled against the trays containing all the pre-cooked food, stir-fries, or desserts (depending on where you were standing). The staff also had to walk past them, making it impossible to maintain social distancing in the already overcrowded restaurant. I'm giving this restaurant one star solely because of the "friendly" waitstaff (and the fact that 0 stars isn't possible). They'll never see me again. Update 5 years later (sadly, my family wants to come here for Christmas). The place is still filthy, and little has improved. In fact, it's gotten worse. I don't understand how such a filthy place can get a high rating, or maybe people are just blinders on.

Just an all you can eat nothing special

The food remains delicious and there's plenty of choice. The soups are wonderful. The baguettes are super fresh. Fresh meat and fish are also available in abundance. The sushi is a bit smaller, but definitely tastier. Desserts range from fresh fruit, cakes, tarts, etc. to various ice cream flavors. The range of flavors is extensive, and the ice cream tastes better too. Chocolate from the chocolate fountain on your ice cream is highly recommended. You can't leave hungry. All soft drinks are self-service. Alcoholic drinks can be requested at the bar. Various hot drinks are also available at the bar. There's a play area inside near the coat check. Highchairs are available. There's room for both small and large groups. Reservations are recommended for larger numbers. They serve a fantastic cappuccino, and the latte is also delicious. Coffee has probably changed brands and isn't as good anymore. The restaurant area is divided into several larger, interconnected rooms. Groups sit at large round tables. Of course, there are constantly people walking around to get their food.

Cold buffet was disappointing, soup & the wok & grill, & what was in the hot trays was excellent, may have been that it was a bit quiet that evening and the salad was a bit less.

I didn't really like the ambiance, but the food was really good and the staff was friendly.

I go to Wokinn Veghel every year for my birthday. The food is always delicious, and my family is happy too. The food, the welcome, and the owners are all great 👍🏼 only one minor complaint: there's an older man at the wok/grill who is incredibly unfriendly, grumpy, and almost angry. I'd rather not have him in the restaurant. Otherwise, the staff is great! Another customer wrote this, and I experienced it too. (The older man behind the wok and grill could also be a bit friendlier; he was really grumpy.)

Very bad that was the bad buy of the month

The food is all the same, with little flavor. The atmosphere isn't great either, and you don't even get a thank you when you get home. It's really better to just drive past.

Yesterday I visited this wok with a Social Deal. And it was actually a great place for a delicious meal. The concept is all you can eat + drink; you could help yourself to everything. The staff was friendly. The selection was diverse and delicious, from the wok section to the grill, and the other dishes. Nothing to complain about. I enjoyed everything. There is ample free parking. The interior isn't very atmospheric, but that's the only minor drawback I can find. An extra bonus: there was already a spoon on the cutlery on the table. As a true Indo, I'm very happy about that. 😉 So: a great wok to visit!

Yesterday we had a good meal, but there was not enough choice of meat at the wok, there were only 2 types, which is a shame, otherwise it was good

We come here regularly. We're very satisfied. Delicious food. Always friendly staff. I'd tell those who say the food is inedible to stay home. It's always packed. And we often see the same people. If it were bad, they wouldn't come back. Anyway, there are always customers with a splash of vinegar on them, and yes, it's self-service, both drinks and food, so no, the long wait is your own fault.

We ate here for three hours with a family of six. The food was delicious, especially the wok and grill! One of us has a gluten allergy; when we asked, we received the allergy chart, which was very clear. Enjoyed it, but the atmosphere/freshness was a bit lacking.

Got a to go meal from Too Good..

Six of us had a wonderful meal. Very cozy and a wide selection. Friendly service. We will definitely be back. Two of us went for dinner again tonight. It was delicious again, I don't understand where the bad reviews come from.

In my opinion this restaurant is just Perfect, from service which is very nice and classy, to food which is delicious, I was there first time taking taking package with me but I'm sure I'm gonna come back

Friendly welcome upon arrival, food was fine, tasty and well prepared, also nice new chairs are very comfortable, also drinks all by brand both beer and soft drinks,, definitely for repetition. See you again.

Really been to eat out in many places but this is the outlier when it comes to dirty restaurants really so terribly filthy is this place. None of the food is edible the meat is so incredibly tough, badly cooked & full of fat and muscles that it is simply not edible the whole place only full of dirty fat camp people there is simply nothing more to be found and then you have the toilets and the kitchen now really extremely filthy see photos really I will never come back the market in China is cleaner

Great food something for everyone

Disappointing experience – not recommended I did not like the atmosphere and the restaurant made a dirty impression. Many dishes were missing from the menu and the food that was served was poor. The staff behind the bar also seemed to pay little attention to the customers. For me, this was the last time I visited this restaurant.

I read a lot of bad reviews about wok inn veghel but I think it's all okay. Food is just normal as in other all in restaurants. Personal was friendly and looked clean on a busy saturday night. so don't let that scare you off

The food itself was tasty, but not the Capacio, which came from the freezer. The toilets were really dirty, as well as the tiles and sinks and the doors🤮 the plates were all chipped. Men behind the grill were very friendly.

We come here regularly, we are just not part of the interior. Because we really like it. The choice is huge, good chefs, lovely staff. I don't agree with the bad reviews at all. If you are good to someone else, you will get it back!!

Actually nothing wrong with that, but it really is what you choose and you choose this. No regrets either. Your drink is also included. Very complete, but you are now going to do something here with your date. With your in-laws :-)

There could be better and neater cleaning, such as the tiles behind the Wok and Baking plate and the toilets.

Very tasty food, lots of choice and friendly staff

Ate here for the first time yesterday. There was plenty of choice of meat dishes, fish dishes, grill and wok dishes. The cook at the plate made little to no eye contact. Meat and the like were well prepared. Only as the evening followed the refilling was very poor. What was also a shame was that they already started cleaning and cleaning around half past 9.30. This gave us the feeling that we were being forced out of the tent. The bar was well organised. Enough choice of alcoholic drinks, wine and coffee. The coffee was neatly brought to the table. The desserts: we thought the selection was limited for a wok. There were no extra additives for your ice cream. Such as: disco dip, chocolate chips, etc. In our opinion, the ice cream was not properly maintained. There was an ice scoop in the water that had been there all day. This was without running water. We believe this is mandatory. This was an absolute negative. After the restaurant was almost completely cleaned, we decided to go to the toilet. These were dirty, with spots in the sink that did not really give a positive impression. All in all, for the price ratio we would come back, but we would rather eat dessert outside.

Very tasty food, good quality food and friendly staff! I don't agree with some of the reviews posted here at all. The food is very tasty and there is plenty of choice. Some people probably don't realize that only the food for the wok is on display and that you have to order the food for the grill yourself from the chef at the griddle (see the dishes on the board on the wall). There was plenty of food on display and it was replenished when it was running low. It also looks neat, the food was hot and the broken chairs - mentioned in some reviews - have been replaced. We had a lovely meal here and this wok is definitely worth repeating!

Rancid peace barn, it is dirty and there is little service anymore, everything is dumped there and you have to sort it out. Furthermore, there was a group of teenagers who were misbehaving considerably and nothing was done about it. You won't see me there again.

Vriendelijk en goed personeel, de bediening was ook erg goed. Kwamen de borden meteen ophalen zodat de tafel netjes schoon bleef. Het eten was allemaal warm en smaakte goed voor wat een all you can eat kan bieden. Wok en grill was goed en netjes verzorgd. Eten werd ook goed aangevuld.

Good and fun place with a nice play area for children and good food and service

Very little choice. You hadn't had the food down your throat yet, they immediately asked, can I take the plate with me? Even though people were away, the clearing staff kept walking past those dirty tables. And an older man behind the wok and grill could also be a bit friendlier, he was really grumpy and he just didn't throw my meat over the plate. Previously it was a fine restaurant. In the meantime it is quite worn out. At the entrance where you hang your coat and can therefore make the first impression, there are a lot of broken chairs stored. Broken items and boxes of storage everywhere in the play area. Showcases with broken lighting, clumsy printed papers showing what is in the bins. Etc etc… just worn out and nothing is kept up to date. Very unfortunate. The food is meh… it used to be much better. Lots of lukewarm food in the containers. Not much. We will no longer be visiting this restaurant for the time being

Great experience. The food was very varied. Enough choice for everyone. The staff is very nice and helpful and personal. The restaurant is spacious and cozy. Easily accessible for elderly people who are dependent on a walker or wheelchair. There is plenty of parking available. Wokk-Inn is definitely recommended for everyone.

Bad food, unkempt kitchen: dirty, old. You pay €36.50 per person. It's really not worth the money. I also said this to the employee, but they could not deduct any of the money. We were inside for no less than 1 hour.

Not as good as before, food from the buffet was sparsely replenished and was lukewarm. Wok and grill is tasty. Staff makes no contact with the guests, only walks around to collect the empty plates. Been here before, think it was better then.

The first time checking this place, we went for dinner with family. Very nice atmosphere, and the food was delicious. Plenty of choices for all tastes. The drinks are included, which was definitely a plus. Coffee amazing 🤩.

9/10 of the food that was there was old and tough. You could see that The ladyfingers at the chocolate fountain had been eaten by mice, not all the food there was warm and the waiters were just hanging around and talking to each other. The restaurant is not worth the money if you ask me!!! Waste of money

I didn't think the food was that great. Long wait at the wok and griddle. I didn't think it was that clean either. There was all sorts of stuff on the floor. And occasionally the meat did not match what you ordered from the wok. There were all kinds of broken chairs in plain view in the cloakroom. I would clean that up.

Good wok, I've been there once and will be back soon for an evening with excellent food and drinks!!! I've been there about 6 times now, and that's not without reason!! Super nice staff and a nice boss who walks around and extends his hands and helps.

Outdated restaurant. We were outside within an hour (paid for 2 hours) Very little choice for an all yo can eat. Expired mayonnaise in small bags. The warming pans are worn on the inside. They should change the water in the ice tray more often, it looked dirty. Desserts also didn't look fresh especially the white chocolate fountain. It was the first time that we finished our meal so quickly in an all you can eat. Never again! The children were not able to enjoy themselves!

Not a large wok restaurant, should not expect extensive food like a large wok restaurant. Staff is nice but the choice is limited. It is purely stir-frying and grilling (griddle). And not all the food was warm or hot as it should be, except from the wok and grill.

Went to All You Can Eat here via social deal. I didn't eat well here at all. Not a cozy atmosphere. Dirty cutlery, dirty toilets. They also did not do what you asked for baking. Meat was rancid. Carpaccio was not for eating. Also missed a salad buffet. So all in all, a dirty All You Van Eat restaurant. Did you go there because you had something to celebrate? Once, but never again. Price quality very poor.

Our team had a nice dining experience at Wok Inn Veghel. The restaurant offers the convenience of already prepared food as well as the option to select ingredients for the chef to cook fresh. While the interior isn’t particularly inviting, it doesn’t detract much when you’re with a large group. Overall, it was a fair experience with decent food and good company.

Uiteindelijk werd het aangevuld, carpaccio was half warm, zalm bruin, enz Toen op na de ossenhaas van de bakplaat, deze smaakte nog redelijk. maar friet was droog en lauw, Weinig keus om bij het vlees te nemen 2e ronde, kipsate, omdat er lang op moest wachten eens goed rond gekeken, kitranden kapot of heel smerig, verdrukkers aan de tegelwand, roosters in afzuiging smerig(zaten vastgeplakt met tape. Lades waaruit het vleeskalf was er een personeelslid al even bezig om deze terug te plaatsen en toen dit na een kwartier proberen niet lukte werd deze maar weg gesmeten. Alles in was oud en ingedroogd uit de eten dics Nog maar even snel rond gekeken bij ijs en fruit, hier maar niets meer van genomen. Helaas hadden we vooraf betaald anders waren we weg gegaan zonder te betalen Hierna maar om de honger te stillen doorgereden naar de Mac (2 minuten verderop)

Food choice is disappointing compared to other all-in restaurants. The food is fine, but not great. It is quite old and some things need replacing. You also regularly see flies passing by. In my opinion, you can prevent this by taking measures.

It looks like an old run-down restaurant where no one comes anymore, you sit on broken chairs where your clothes keep getting stuck on. The entire middle table with the snacks, fries, mini spring rolls, etc. was cold. At the wok you had to wait a very long time while there was no one in line, the man at the wok did not look at you and did not make contact. Very rancid ice cream spoon that I think has been floating in the same water all week, dried out dirty chocolate fountain. There was dirty cutlery on the table that had to be clean, there was literally still food in it. The sushi was half frozen and some pieces were very tough as if it had been there for a long time. All in all, I really won't be going here again. We spent €69 for 2 people, he asked if we wanted to pay afterwards or in advance. We should have done it better afterwards because this is not worth your money. Don't pay for cold food!

We have eaten here before, lots of choice on the griddle. The sushi is not great but there are plenty of other tasty options and the price is still reasonable including drinks. Will definitely come back again.

I have been here a number of times now because the wok and griddle are quite ok, but this was really the last time. We were given a table at the back of the atmospheric building while there were plenty of other tables available. In this section, at least 75% of the seats are completely worn out. A normal person would take them all to the dump immediately. The most rancid thing is the ice cream scoop, which is left in the same bowl of water all day. Can you really think of nothing better for this? you notice that absolutely nothing is invested in improving things. When you enter, look around and up (lamp) and you will see how often cleaning takes place.

Been here yesterday. Really horrible how this place looked. Everything filthy, the toilets too dirty to look at, ceiling, doors, floor, everything greasy and very dirty. Most of it was tasteless and was not refilled either. Unbelievable that this is possible.
