It was fine and always eats too much, all you can eat, well......

I was there on a Sunday evening. It was quite busy, with lots of screaming children. The food wasn't special; I actually found it tasty enough. However, you had to be quick with certain dishes, as the serving trays emptied very fast and weren't refilled quickly. This was definitely a one-time visit for me. There are other restaurants that are tastier. The staff was friendly, though.

It was very noisy this time, with crying babies and screaming toddlers. Even though we weren't actually sitting right near the nursery/play area. A bit of a shame! But the food was delicious!!

The quality of this restaurant is average, hence 3 stars. The food is okay, the variety isn't that great, the stir-fried potatoes were surprisingly tasty but that couldn't raise the average. The ice cream is inconvenient; you have to scoop it yourself and your hands end up in the containers touching the ice. Start with ice cream when it's still somewhat fresh, or grab it as soon as they put out a new container. The griddle is above average, warm and tasty. The wok is the standard ‘cook chicken and vegetables and toss it in the wok for show and add a sauce’, averagely tasty. My daughter was excited about the pictures of the restaurant's ‘space’ theme, but on the spot, it isn't very exciting. All in all: average.

Lots of variety and good food; used plates were cleared away quickly, and the food was prepared well and quickly. Tables were a little too close together, so my chair and those at another table kept bumping into each other the whole time. Children ran through the restaurant to get to the table and then back to the playground (not a problem for us, but some people complained about it).

It's not what it used to be; the prices are completely ridiculous. The food isn't worth that price.

I went to this "all you can eat" by invitation (not my thing 😊), but the food was delicious and is prepared fresh right in front of you, of course. The atmosphere is personal, naturally, but everything just looks neat and clean. For lovers of this way of dining, it is definitely recommended.

No idea what was bad, but Im still feeling terrible right now. Theres always a chance of that happening in places like this and it all looked pretty fresh & clean so just bad luck I guess. At the beginning, there was a cheerful employee at the cash register, but upstairs at the bar, there was an angry one. I asked her if she was angry, and she looked even angrier: "Oh yes!" I had a delicious meal, and the interior was beautiful, literally themed (Space). It is very nice and child-friendly, and there is an elevator; if you have mobility issues or leg problems, you can use the elevator, which I appreciated. The table service was also nice, with the plates being cleared on time. There is a separate area for people with children, and people without children also have a separate area. Apparently, it is arranged so that everyone is separated to eat with or without a child; that took some getting used to. Otherwise, everything is clean and refilled on time. The food was not cold but well served.

As indicated in previous reviews, the sushi is very good for this type of establishment, the hot food in the trays sometimes gets cold if left out too long, and the staff is not particularly friendly. They show you to your table without using their voices, but they are not unfriendly. The food from the wok, grill, and hot plate is tasty. Wide selection of drinks. It is a large restaurant with many seats and a small dining area. If the entire restaurant were full, there would not be enough room at the dining area for everyone. We always eat early, so it is still perfectly manageable then. They also seem to pay attention to distributing the seating so that each room has some people and not everyone is seated in the same room.

Very tasty, fresh, diverse, hot and cold food. A bit too busy and quite far from the buffet... or up stairs to the seating area and constantly walking up stairs to the buffet or drinks.

What should have been a pleasant birthday dinner turned into a nightmare. It isn't even worth 1 star. This restaurant, and especially the staff, does not deserve that. Everyone speaks little to no Dutch and English. When I commented that I had frozen carpaccio, I was told that carpaccio is supposed to be cold. My girlfriend, whose birthday it was, is allergic to bell peppers. She was told she could eat everything, even though there is clearly bell pepper in most dishes. They were not open to reason. We left out of sheer misery. Never visit this restaurant again. No apologies were made. Two soups for €85.00. The worst experience ever!! I am going to inform the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority about this restaurant.

I find the way this situation was handled truly unacceptable. We paid €131 for a two-hour meal for three people. However, after about an hour, we all became nauseous and sick. Therefore, we went to the counter to report this and ask for a suitable solution, as we were only able to use what we had paid for for one hour. To our surprise, however, there was no one present at the counter. We waited there for about ten minutes without anyone coming to help us. Because we could not speak to anyone, I sent an email that same day to explain the situation. Two days later, I still had not received a response. Therefore, I contacted them by phone today. During this conversation, I was told that I should have reported it immediately on the day itself and that a report two days later could no longer be processed. I find that a strange response, since I specifically tried to report it on the same day. There was simply no one present at the counter to help us. Additionally, I sent an email that same day. The fact that there is subsequently no response can hardly be my responsibility. I have enjoyed dining at your restaurant for years and have always been satisfied. That is precisely why this state of affairs disappoints me even more. I perceive the poor communication and the lack of a suitable solution as very poor service. I still hope for a serious handling of my complaint and appropriate compensation.

What a terrible place. Loudly screaming, running, roller-skating children running around. Plates are cleared from the table too late and the food was a huge disappointment. Except for the sushi, which was okay. Furthermore, I will never come here again.

We had made a reservation with our family of three, but upon arrival, the receptionist completely ignored us while she was on the phone. We stood waiting like idiots for ten minutes! The food was disgusting and of poor quality. A complete disappointment and a waste of money. This restaurant is absolutely not recommended. Never again!

Absolute zero for hospitality and food! What a disaster of an evening. The waiter at the entrance was on the phone the whole time – no greeting, not a word, NOTHING. He simply waved us towards the cash register with his hand. Seriously?! We had a reservation, yet a second employee had to rearrange the whole place just to make a table for us. That person, too: no explanation whatsoever, no apologies, just waving and pointing as if we were robots. And then the food… The hot dishes? Ice cold. The cold dishes? They stank. The grill? Hard as leather.

Unfortunately, Wereldrestaurant Ridderkerk was a major disappointment. The food was decent, but the service and atmosphere made the experience unpleasant. The staff seemed unmotivated and the owner did not come across as friendly. It all felt very fake and impersonal. Additionally, we got the impression that money was the primary focus. According to employees, even tips were not shared fairly with the staff, which does not create a good impression. For the price you pay, you expect better service and a welcoming atmosphere. The atmosphere in the restaurant felt unwelcoming and lacked warmth. It is a shame, because a restaurant is not just about food, but also about how guests are treated. Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant experience for us, and therefore we do not recommend Wereldrestaurant Ridderkerk.

Friendly, hard-working staff. In terms of food, they really have everything. A huge variety of desserts, including cheesecake, cotton candy, macarons, and really much more. For savory food, there is also a wide range of options, even crab. You won't find many all-you-can-eat restaurants with so much choice. Highly recommended!

Had a very tasty meal, good service, but it's a shame the piano has broken hammers, hence the 3 stars. For atmosphere: well, a very nice atmosphere, but it's a shame the hammers are broken and in the way. If the hammers weren't broken, I would have played "Children" by Robert Miles. Also, the piano was very out of tune, but otherwise the piano was clean. It's just a real shame that the piano was a honky-tonk with broken hammers getting in the way of other hammers. Otherwise, the atmosphere was nice because of the space and all those things.

It was very disappointing compared to our expectations, and certainly for the price we had to pay for the food right from the start. We walked in and were met with a quick hello. Then we were shown to our table and that was it. There was no further explanation of how things were done or used, which made things unclear at times. Many containers were empty or not fresh at all. The heat lamps were also completely useless because the food was simply cold. The tables were very close together and it was very noisy. Some of the desserts were actually quite good, but here too you could taste that they were old and dry. A shame! I did give one extra star for the chocolate fountains.

The food wasn't fresh, it had been sitting there for a while; the hot dishes were cold and the sushi was warm, which I don't think is supposed to happen. It was way too noisy; we changed tables because it was too bad. When we asked what was gluten-free, she said that's milk, but no, it isn't. They'd be better off closing permanently before more people get food poisoning.

Walking buffet restaurants are just not my thing. My family wanted to go here, but I honestly didn’t understand the concept none of us really did. It also seemed like they forgot to give me a mini golf club and ball. Some people simply don’t have manners in these kinds of places, which made the experience less enjoyable. The food was good, but that’s about it. But just ignore my review if you like walking buffet.

The staff on the phone didn't come across as very friendly, but at the restaurant they all were, and the decor is beautiful. It was strange though that there were still Christmas arrangements with baubles on the windowsill in almost April.... The playground is a real asset, which is one of the reasons we will definitely be back. Fries and desserts/ice cream weren't replenished properly, but the rest was; it was also nice to have cotton candy available.. the wok remains the best; I found the steak from the griddle tough and inedible..

After seeing posts on social media, we thought it would be fun to try this restaurant. However, we wasted our money here. First, we were seated at a table in the middle of a very busy area that we could barely walk to. The tables are less than a meter apart. Fortunately, after asking if we could sit somewhere else, that was possible. You could get your own drinks, which was very convenient. The sushi was also tasty and made fresh. The other food was more grease than food. That is why we stopped eating after just one plate and both felt very nauseous when we got home. The toilets were also too filthy to use. There were residues on the seat, the toilet was covered in wipes, and it smelled terrible. This is certainly not worth 45 euros per person.

NOT HALAL!!! Called beforehand to ask if it was halal and they confirmed: "Yes, you can eat halal here. Pork kept separate, etc." So upon arrival, it was very unprofessional; a long wait before being escorted to your table. Tables very close together. The chairs are comfortable, though. The food is worthless. It wasn't clearly indicated what kind of meat it was, so I didn't even dare to just grab some food. Everything was mixed on the griddle, or you had to take your meat to the fish griddle and it would be prepared there. Go to Breepark in Breda; it is very nice, well-organized, and they cater to everyone. Same price and you can eat really well.

In short, they could simply see what you were eating. The dining chairs are also uncomfortable. The distance from the restaurant to the play area is too long. We went here yesterday. However, it was a huge disappointment that the information we received over the phone was incorrect. We were told that all the food was halal and that the pork was not grilled. So, the grill and wok dishes were supposed to be completely halal. This is NOT the case; the pork is also grilled, making it impossible to eat directly from the grill. The snacks are also not halal and contain pork. Additionally, the type of meat is not clearly indicated on the menus. I am used to this from restaurants in Amsterdam and Utrecht. You spend 75 euros and can barely eat anything due to incorrect information. I feel ripped off and absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. We had reserved for 2 hours but stayed for 1 hour because people tend to chase you away there, and it is anything but a pleasant place.

It's a shame there wasn't flambéed salmon. Desserts include cotton candy, chocolate fountain, crème brûlée cakes, ice cream, and donuts. In short, too much to eat in two hours. And delicious, though. Friendly service. Upon arrival, the hostess made a joke that I was still laughing about a minute later. Definitely worth going back for. Kids can play at the foosball table or ball pit/climbing tower. Paying in advance is also convenient. A bit pricey, though, in my opinion, for what you can eat in two hours. Beautiful decor and a cozy atmosphere.

I've often eaten at all-you-can-eat restaurants, but this one was one of the worst. There's a lot of choice, but the food wasn't good. They claim the meat is halal, but all meats are cooked on the same grill, including pork. I asked if they were out of noodles and fries and could be refilled, but they weren't replenished for over half an hour. There were also many empty trays because the staff was so slow. It's very busy here, so you have to wait in line longer for your food. It's also a bit more expensive than other places. So save your money and effort and go somewhere else, because it's not worth it. At least, it's my last time here.

This restaurant is beautifully decorated, which is its charm. That's also why we went there. I enjoyed the food, but my family wasn't as impressed. The restaurant is very warm and bright. It was a bit chaotic, with lots of noisy families and children. But hey, that can always happen; it doesn't really say anything about the restaurant. I do think the lights could be dimmed a bit, and the heat needs to be managed better.

For me it was magnificent, even though I went on February 14th and it was very lively, but the food was very good, the service was great, the place was super cool and clean, the children's area was very good, I was quite surprised, the best of all the places I've visited so far, I really recommend it and I hope to visit again.

I went here because of the Too Good To Go app, and honestly, you always get something. Just keep in mind that it's always a restaurant, and what's left over stays. Sometimes it's a little more than others. But maybe it's also a good idea to offer something from the cold buffet for the Too Good To Go box, especially if there's less to give away from the hot buffet. I'm also very pleased with the change from Wok of the King to Wereldrestaurant Ridderkerk. Although I can't eat out there myself anymore because it would be financially difficult.

It's a real dumping ground. The tokkie content is definitely 50%, and the tables are way too close together. You pay a premium, but then you have to wait at least 20 minutes if you want to grill or stir-fry. No, never again 😂 There are better restaurants in the world; this one absolutely topped everything.

Very hospitable staff and a lovely, spacious round table with privacy. The noise level was very manageable despite the high attendance. There was a wide selection, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

We dined at Wereldrestaurant Ridderkerk with a large group. The food was delicious. There was a wide selection of sushi, fish, and meat. The freshly prepared meat and fish, prepared live in front of you, was also very tasty. Personally, I especially enjoyed the scallops. Drinks were included, which I consider a real plus. Plates were cleared promptly without being annoying, and the staff was friendly. It was quite busy, even for a Sunday. So it can get a bit noisy at times. But if you can handle that, it's no problem. All in all, definitely recommended if you enjoy an all-inclusive buffet every now and then.

We were celebrating my aunt's party and had our own booth. Two round tables and a few smaller square tables. It just fit everyone.

Selection based on group composition. Three adults were supposed to be seated at the buffet. Upon seeing the assistance dog, we suddenly had to discuss things, and were sent upstairs. Surrounded by children and noisy people. The dog even had to check in with me, something that hadn't happened in almost two years. She's supposed to be sleeping normally during a restaurant visit. My husband had dined here with a friend two weeks ago and wanted to take me and his mother. They love sushi, and there would be a choice for me too. They sat downstairs. I understand that a space-age concept attracts more children, and I'm open to that. We left after almost an hour and a half of the women's group next to us screaming at each other because we practically had to shout at each other to be heard after a noisy group was seated next to us. Personally, I found the food disappointing; the concept is super fun. My mother-in-law, who has difficulty walking due to hernias, had to drag herself up and down the stairs with her plate. My mother-in-law and my husband absolutely loved the sushi. Unfortunately, my husband had to throw up immediately at home. Due to complete overstimulation, I couldn't sleep a wink last night. My dog ​​checked in with me several times at home. I'm certain that being "seated upstairs" was the main culprit, and if we had been placed at the buffet "among the boring, adult couples we ourselves are," I wouldn't have felt so good about writing this review. A horrific visit... I don't have a check-in person with me for nothing, who's supposed to beat me to it before I check out. It turns out I didn't have a seizure in the restaurant, but judging by the dog, I did feel the pinch because we weren't "seated in a smart way." This switch wasn't a smart move. It's a shame, this disadvantage. Incidentally, she's a small assistance dog, as she's not needed for ADLs, so it's not like she'll be joining everyone in the restaurant at the buffet. She stays seated and normally sleeps, as long as I'm doing well. It was a one-time thing for me.

Entered the chicken coop. It felt a bit like the cafeteria I used to be at school. The meat prepared on-site was delicious. The sushi was okay. But the hot buffet wasn't hot. Everything was lukewarm. The four of us ate there just to experience it, but we won't be back. Lots of neon lights, which you have to be able to tolerate. I think this is especially fun with small children, especially because of the astronauts hanging there.

My wife has a food allergy, and I don't like all-you-can-eat factories, but this is fantastic. My wife enjoys it, so do I. Small, different rooms. Well thought out.

Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The food is reasonably good, but there's room for improvement. For example, the T-bone steak is cut very thinly, making it dry out more quickly.

Extremely poor food. Everything was cold and tasteless. I was incredibly loud and was put in a children's corner with children aged 12 and 10, where all I could hear was screaming. My table was right next to someone else's, which was really strange at Christmas. All in all, it was a waste of money to eat here. I'll never go back. It's also incredibly crowded at Christmas. You can't even tell where something is because it's so busy. A terrible place!

This place simply shouldn't be operating. I got food poisoning. I went back and forth to the restroom about 15 times today, and I already felt quite ill. Despite what others say, the pork is grilled with the other food, so it's not halal either! Children were constantly running around our table, it was noisy, the meat was way too salty, you tasted more salt than meat, and not everything tasted fresh. I've never left a restaurant so quickly as this one. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN.

It was a truly disorganized mess!! And the people working there were incredibly unfriendly!! They indicated that halal meat was being offered, but then we saw that the pork and the halal chicken, etc., were being cooked on the same grill. We had to speak to five people, two of whom understood but couldn't help us because they had no say in the matter. Then one man came and he was completely fine. Rude, he just chased us away!

Unfortunately, we must say that this visit was far below par and we will definitely not be returning. Upon arrival, we were immediately placed in an awkward corner, even though we had a stroller and two highchairs. This was anything but practical and immediately gave us the feeling that our group was not being taken into account. We had been clearly informed in advance that (almost) all food would be halal, with the exception of frikadellen (fried meat). Pork would therefore not be an option. To our surprise, however, we saw that in the grill section *chicken, lamb, and pork were being prepared on the same plate*. This is absolutely unacceptable for halal eaters. Almost none of us enjoyed our meal; everyone paid the same price. We even asked for compensation because we were unable to eat everything, especially the meat. Your colleague reacted so harshly. There was one young colleague who understood because he is Muslim, so they sent him to us. He and his colleague understood, but couldn't help further or make a decision; that was up to the manager. When we politely asked about this, the response was laughable and unsympathetic. Instead of a clear explanation, we had to speak with no fewer than five different employees before the problem was even understood. The manager told us we should have reported this beforehand or "just left." He also literally said that *Muslims are not taken into account* because there are other guests. We were even advised to "go to a halal restaurant." Let me be clear: *this is no way to treat guests*. Not only was it disrespectful, but also downright discriminatory. Other international restaurants – such as the one in Capelle – do know how to respectfully treat halal-eating guests. We are deeply disappointed and believe this is absolutely unacceptable. We therefore want an official response to this complaint. Kind but urgent regards, THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT worthy of a 1 star rating.

A chef was preparing fresh sushi, and trays were replenished quickly and hot when empty. The mini spring rolls were crunchy, not soggy. All in all, a good evening food-wise. I'm quite sensitive to stimuli, and the blue light affected my stability. The plate-pressed beef tenderloin was tender and delicious, and the salmon sashimi was cold and tasted fresh. I've eaten a lot of sushi, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it! A top-notch all-you-can-eat experience.

Haven't been there in a long time, new owner took some getting used to but it was nice, only we sat in the children's corner then it's a walk back and forth your food cools down and it's not nice having to walk with your full plate past all the people walking upstairs.

Had a great evening with family and colleagues

Never had such a bad meal. The food was either very bland or simply not good. The atmosphere is also lacking, with lots of LED lighting and long lines for meat grills. Because of the crowds, the noise, the bright lights, and the terrible food, I would never go back. I left after an hour.

A nice and good restaurant for the whole family

NOTHING IS HALAL HERE! WE CALLED THIS AFTERNOON WHEN EVERYTHING WAS HALAL AND THE PORK WAS PREPARED ON THE SAME GRILL AS THE MEAT. (They replied that everything was made separately and was 100% halal.) I DON'T BELIEVE A WORD OF IT!!!!! When we reported this to reception, one of the staff (an old woman) got really angry with us and made racist remarks. A little later, a young man helped us, and thanks to him, we were able to get our money back. Soldier! DON'T EAT HERE! YOU'RE BEING FOOLED.

Unfortunately... my boyfriend and I were regulars at this restaurant for seven years. Only after today, I don't think we'll be back. We both had stomach aches after dinner, and my boyfriend was also nauseous. The restaurant is way too crowded, which leads to a lot of irritation. Payment is upfront, and you don't get a table right away, which also takes away from your time.

Very multicultural, very noisy and a real all you can eat place, I really didn't like the food at all compared to another place, I wouldn't eat here again

We had called ahead and asked if it was halal. They said everything was 100% halal. We arrived with high expectations and were immediately disappointed that the kitchens were so small. Still hopeful, we went to pick up some food. We started with some chicken wings and sushi, which was inedible. Then we went to the grill and saw that there was pork, and it was cooked on the same grill as the rest of the meat. We went to the reception desk to be met by a Chinese woman who yelled at us. After some discussion, we demanded our money back, which we had a hard time getting. The young man who helped us was a soldier. Otherwise, not recommended; the food is terrible, and the staff is also not good.
