Zilver Rijn in Hoogvliet

Just got a chicken spring roll. What happened? I found raw chicken inside. Inedible and dangerous. Never again. I'll skip this one from now on!

I ordered two spring rolls, and when I cut them open, they smelled strange and tasted awful. Coincidentally, something was forgotten in the order, so I immediately gave them this awful mess, but I didn't hear back. SO BE CAREFUL!

My order was supposed to take 45 minutes. After calling for an hour and a half, it still had to be prepared. It suddenly got very busy right after I placed my order. It's outrageous. I've been coming here for 40 years. Never again.

The food is just as unbelievably awful as the building's appearance. Chicken satay, watered-down, tasteless, and grimy with never-before-seen smaller pieces of micro-chicken. Babi pangang was like chewing on an old tire with a jar of tomato sauce. The wonton soup was by far the biggest disgrace, just reheated water with snot and next-level tough meat in it. The fried prawns weren't bad, but come on, I've never experienced anything like this in my life. Have some self-respect and eat somewhere else.

We always order the chicken spring roll and the fried plantain here. They're nowhere as good as they are there.

Last Sunday, Mother's Day, we went there for dinner with five adults and one child. We had a table reserved for 6:00 PM. Unfortunately, after insisting, we finally received our food at 8:15 PM, and it wasn't even warm. This is definitely not something we're used to at this restaurant. My four-year-old girl was fed up, and so were we. My husband and children had a very sweet idea of ​​eating here on Mother's Day, but unfortunately, we were all incredibly irritated by the service that evening. The enormous (online) orders flew out the door, leaving us waiting. I should have decided to close the restaurant for that evening. That would definitely have been a better option! I said I'd been a customer for over 25 years, usually having food delivered, and the food is always excellent. It's a shame this turned out this way.

Meat is good, and the food itself is also fine. Just be careful if you order something with vegetables: 85% bean sprouts. If you say something about it you will get the comment that yes, vegetables are expensive. I understand that since I pay €8 for a container of bean sprouts with 3 mushrooms and a slice of cucumber.

Got food for 5 adults here for the first time. (Of which 2 people are 91 years old!) Dishes somewhat flat in taste. Lots of onion peels in the noodles! We can't chew that away! Found toothpick in the food. I really wish it was something else, like a broken skewer stick or something. For years this was the place where we liked to pick up our meal after a long day and then enjoy it at home, today was the last time. Tot voor kort was Zilveren Rijn een heel goed Chinees Restaurant. Meestal aten we er of haalde Nasi Goreng. Of nasimet kip in Tausi saus,Gesneden kip met champignons, Babi pangang, kip loempia en gebakken banaan. Het was altijd smikkelen en smullen. Echter 2 weken terug hadden we gesneden kip met champignons gehaald. Dat smaakte veel en veel minder dan we gewend waren. Het was geen witte Uiensaus zoals we die al jaren lang kregen, de uien waren niet lang genoeg gestoofd,de saus was bruin van de maizena en alles veel te hard en te zout. Ook de loempia, gebakken banaan (doordrenkt met olie) en babi pangang viel tegen. Omdat we het toch een tweede kans wilde geven (we komen er al meer dan 10 jaar) , vandaag weer hetzelfde gehaald. een grote teleurstelling het was nog slechter en smaakte gewoon vies.we hebben het ook na het proeven niet meer opgegeten. Vermoedelijk zijn er sinds kort andere eigenaren met een andere kok. Het vertrouwde gezicht van de dame die altijd de bestellingen opnam, was er de laatste 2x ook niet. We hebben de gerechten gesneden kip met champignons tijdens vakanties praktisch in heel Nederland gegeten en altijd was het op dezelfde manier bereid zoals voorheen ook bij Zilveren Rijn. Echter nu niet meer. We gaan er niet meer heen. De volgende keer gaan we opzoek naar een Chinees restaurant die wel kwaliteit levert.

Takeaway food is just good, hot and enough. I won't be eating there again anytime soon. It is often very quiet there and the restaurant no longer really invites you to eat inside.

Still a good Chinese restaurant

I have been coming to this Chinese restaurant regularly since it opened, over 35 years. The food was very delicious, both á la carte and buffet. Had it delivered at Christmas '23, because of hernia and gout, I couldn't go to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the babipangang in particular was very disappointing in terms of taste.

Ik vind het een eerlijke prijs voor de kwaliteit die men levert. Hoeveelheden zijn precies genoeg. Tot de volgende keer maar weer 👍

Prima Chinees lekker eten aardige mensen

In bijna elk stukje kippendij in de ajam pangang zat versplinterd bot in? Moksimeti was wel weer goed!

Mijn nieuwe favoriet in hoogvliet. Jarenlang deze tent overgeslagen na een slechte babi pangang. Nu haal ik wekelijks. Loempia's zijn heerlijk en de bief met tausi saus is echt een aanrader.

Heerlijk eten opgehaald. De wachtruimte was gevuld met 2 fietsen en er hangen nog plexiglas schermen. Allemaal niet heel sfeervol, maar doet zeker niet onder aan de kwaliteit van het eten. Hoe het er verder in het restaurant uitziet weet ik niet. Vriendelijke dame aan het loket.

Prettig klassiek Chinees restaurant met een goed aanbod en lekkere maaltijden. Hebben we geen zin om te koken is de Zilver Rijn een goed adres.

Lekker gegeten! Alleen thuis kwam ik er achter dat ik foe yong hai mee had gekregen in plaats van koe loe yoek. Maar dat kan ook aan mijn uitspraak liggen...

Eten is erg vet. Mini loempia uit de snackbox zat niets in, was alleen deeg. Gedeelte van de bami was aangebrand.

Heel erg goede chinees. Voor het eerst daar eten afgehaald en het was allemaal uitmuntend van smaak. Kom daar zeker vaker vanaf nu.

Was de eerste keer dat ik daar kwam en was blij verrast ten aanzien van de chinese restaurants in Spijkenisse waar ik ook al geweest was. Eten ruim voldoende en had 3 vleesgerechten alledrie heerlijk waren met een sausje die erbij zat. Minpuntje was de atjar en plus puntje de pindasaus

Luisteren slecht en praten bijna geen Nederlands, het eten is redelijk
