Zinc wine&dine in Wijk 00 Centrum

Heerlijke gerechten en bijpassende wijnen gehad. Dit is echt voor ons de beste keuken van Roermond. Echt een feest om te gaan eten. Een aanrader !!

Wij waren er voor de lunch. Die was fantastisch, alles was mogelijk en de zalm en roggenvleugel waren perfect gemaakt. De bediening attent en de wijn voortreffelijk.

Parasols opengedaan om volk buiten te zetten is een goed id. Maar om dan tafels en stoelen nat te laten lijkt me niet het beste idee. Lang moeten wachten op het hoofdgerecht. Duurde tamelijk lang voor de VG werden afgeruimd (3 man personeel voor 20klanten max.) Steak was ok (wel duur 36,50€ zonder frietjes), frietjes kregen we als het vlees bijna op was. Wijn besteld, nooit gekregen, stond wel op de rekening. Niemand gezien om het een 2e keer te kunnen vragen. Thaïse curry was een te zoute teriyakisaus met zeer weinig noedels en nog minder groenten. Zeer monotoom van smaak. Ow ja, een btw-kasticket leek de man ook onbekend. Beetje willen maar niet kunnen... heeft potentie, komt er enkel nog niet uit. Tip: - zeg op voorhand dat het geen Cola is maar Pepsi, niet iedereen is voor Pepsi -pezo altijd op tafel zetten als mensen komen eten. .

Gezellig restaurant aan de Roerkade. Genoten van een uistekende 3 gangen lunch met bijpassende wijnen. Kwalitatief goed.

Beautiful restaurant in a good location, friendly staff. Unfortunately, we left hungry after two hours of waiting. The orders (including pasta of the day) arrived after a 1.5-hour wait at different times and in the wrong portion sizes (kids' portion). This could not be compensated by any other offer. My dish was missing the fries. Unfortunately, the staff was also unable to serve these afterwards upon request. Mistakes can happen, but there was no apology or compensation whatsoever. Schönes Restaurant in guter Lage, freundliches Personal. Leider sind wir nach zwei Stunden Wartezeit aber hungrig wieder gegangen. Die Bestellungen (u.a. Pasta desTages) kamen nach 1,5 Stunden Wartezeit zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten und in den falschen Portionsgrößen (Kinderportion) an unserem Tisch an. Das konnte nicht durch ein anderes Angebot ausgeglichen werden. Zu meinem Gericht fehlten die Pommes. Das Personal war auf Nachfrage leider auch hier nicht in der Lage diese nachträglich zu servieren. Fehler können passieren, aber es gab keinerlei Entschuldigung oder Kompensation.

We maakten een 6 daagse culinaire fietstocht via Eigen Wijze reizen. Dus we waren al wat verwend geraakt op andere plaatsen.... We kregen bij Zinc een 6 gangen diner voorgeschoteld dat werkelijk van grote sterrenklasse was. In de keuken bleek dat er 2 jonge mensen alles uit de kast haalden om iets moois op tafel te zetten. (De chef-kok bleek vandaag niet aanwezig). Heerlijke duo-bediening door twee mannen met schwung en humor. Mooie warme avond op terras/serre dat later voor ons overdekt werd. Goede wijn en prijs/kwaliteitverhouding. Echt top!

2 maal Irish koffie gehad voor 8,50 per stuk. Bleek een "Haags bakje" te zijn. 2 maal nippen en weg. De slagroom was er al doorheen geroerd. Bovendien niet warm maar lauw Dus 17,- af mogen rekenen. Prijs/kwaliteit onvoldoende. De entourage is overigens wel prima.

Was in Roermond for a business trip. Came in to Zinc on Sunday evening for dinner. I ordered ala carte. Aubergine maple for starters and Rib Eye for the main. Service was friendly at the restaurant. There was not much people so I expect the service to be prompt and timely, which it was, so no complaints there. Now let’s talk about the food. I may have chosen the wrong dishes but boy was the food disappointing. The Aubergine maple had good flavor but for a restaurant with a Gault&Milau for 2022 and 2023, I expected a lot more from the dish than just thinly cut aubergine which are deep fried to become chips. The rib eye was underwhelming. Waiter did not ask to what doneness I wanted it cooked. I can overlook that as I am usually ok with medium rare to medium doneness and that was how it was served. Flavour wise, it’s probably the saddest steak I’ve ever had. Under-seasoned and almost no sear crust to speak of. Plus they only gave me 1 spoonful of jus, which is not much. Dish came also with a triangle thing which is some sort of carb, but again overly fried. It was tough to cut through. There is also almost no accompanying salad to speak of. For a dish priced at almost €40, I feel ripped off.

Vanavond met 6 personen wezen eten hier. Weken geleden gereserveerd, tafel stond niet klaar, servies aan foute kant gedekt, wijnmenu werd niet gevraagd; vroegen wij dit werd er aangegeven dat we te laat waren. Bediening wist niet wat ze deden, wisten niet wat ze serveerden en in- en afdekken konden ze ook niet.. ook het 6 gangen menu kon niet worden geserveerd zonder reden. Eten en wijnen waren heerlijk, maar de service is echt onvoldoende voor dit segment restaurant, heel jammer.

Had a great lunch today, very tasty and looked beautiful. Portions were on the small side. But that can certainly be personal. Shrimp croquettes were homemade… were really tasty. Other plates looked good. Attention was paid to it.

Enjoyed a delicious 5 course lunch. Each plate was a work of art with the appropriate wines. Sincerely, Jil's service and friendliness is an asset to Zinc. Great, Chapeau!!

anlässlich einer Radreise speiste ich im Restaurant Zinc. Nach einer freundlichen Begrüßung und einem Gruß aus der Küche genoss ich das 4 Gang Überraschungsmenue und wurde wahrlich nicht enttäuscht. Thunfisch Tatar als Vorspeise Kabeljau als Zwischengang und Kalbsschnitzel als Hauptgang gefolgt von einer Edbeer Kreation mit Crumbel. Alles auf den Punkt gegart und hervorragend gewürzt. Ich komme gerne wieder

Food was very good, I had steak tartare and bief van de Haas. Both are recommended. The service was beyond bad. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but it still took a long time for the order to be taken. After the starter, it was over 30 minutes before the main course and when we asked, we received our main course another 15 minutes later. The waiter was very inattentive and never checked whether we were well looked after. Drinks were already out before the main course. When I asked for the bill the waiter obviously had better things to do. After 10 minutes I got up and paid in the store and had to be “cheered on”. Not acceptable for a restaurant in this price range. Food was pretty good. I had STEAK TARTAAR and BIEF VAN DE HAAS. I would recommend both. Unfortunately the service was very poor. Wasn’t busy at all but the two young men pay zero attention. Takes year's to take the order and get the main course. Don’t look after us or take care of us having had drinks. Need to ask twice for paying the bill and he act rude, like I disturb him for asking to pay.

We had a great dinner at Zinc yesterday evening . the concept is clear with a Chef's Menu and a Suprise Menu. The dishes are well prepared, taste is good, a little to much on the foams. The service is very good, even though it is a young team working at this establishment.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten in dit restaurant. Zeer smaakvolle gerechten en vers en met aandacht bereid. Erg vriendelijk personeel dat de tijd voor je neemt om de verschillende gerechten en wijnen toe te lichten. Je wordt echt verwend!

In short, service was surly, arrogant and anything but attentive and smooth. The choice on the menu is very limited and also pricey. The customer is simply ignored and addressed from above. Now only 2 other tables were occupied and everything took exceptionally long. I wonder what it's like when all the tables are occupied (if that is ever the case). This was the first but certainly the last time we ate here. It is that one sandwich still tasted good, otherwise the restaurant would have received the lowest possible score for it.

Here is a delicious bottle of De Ladoucette for a reasonable price with a delicious drinks board. The staff is friendly and it has a nice atmosphere inside. Definitely recommended if you appreciate good wines!

Delicious food in attractive surroundings with friendly service.

Food was okay, nothing really special. Big difference in portions for the same dishes. Fish was dry (because thin small piece). Service was slapstick. Not friendly. People skipped drinking. Fortunately the company was good.

We were invited to this establishment which is located near the river, and the city center of Roermond, the welcome, the service, the menus are impeccable and irresistible. Thanks to the whole team.

As can be read in the previous reviews; good food, nice and friendly young staff... but the elderly host ensures that we will not return. You don't feel welcome at all, you are not friendly and you just don't throw everything gruffly on the table.

Booked for 5 people on the advice of friends. Ultimately opted for the chef's 4-course surprise menu. Made a reservation at 7 o'clock in the evening. A table was ready, outside right on the road. Nice weather, but not pleasant with the exhaust fumes. Amuse, served before and between courses, between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. It was tasty and was also nicely prepared. Then the trouble started. The sun had set, and because of the parasol above the table and no lighting on the terrace, you could hardly distinguish what was suspicious. After waiting for over AN HOUR I asked when the main course would come. (in the meantime the place was already quite empty and it was getting cooler and darker outside) According to the boss it was coming now, it was almost ready. After another 10 minutes the main course was served by a nasty owner/manager who rudely placed the plates on the table without any explanation. After the main course and another 15 minute wait, the dessert came, which didn't taste bad, but we couldn't see what it was in the dark. Ultimately, after more than 3 and a half hours, I paid more than 350 euros. As compensation, the 2 BOTTLES OF WATER WERE NOT CHARGED. Scandalous. The price-quality ratio is also moderate given the small size of the dishes. Our advice, there are nicer restaurants in the immediate area where you can eat well for a good price and within a normal time.

Op aanraden van vrienden met 5 personen gereserveerd. Uiteindelijk gekozen voor het chefs 4 gangen verrassingsmenu. Om 7 uur avonds gereserveerd. Tafeltje stond klaar, buiten direct aan de weg. Wel mooi weer maar niet prettig bij de uitlaatgassen. Tussen 7 uur en 8.30 uur amuse, voor en tussen gerecht geserveerd. Was lekker en was ook mooi opgemaakt. Daarna begon de ellende. De zon was intussen onder, en door de parasol boven de tafel en geen verlichting op het terras kon je bijna niet meer onderscheiden wat er geserveerd werd. Na ruim EEN UUR WACHTEN gevraagd wanneer het hoofdgerecht zou komen. (intussen was de zaak al behoorlijk leeg en werd het buiten steeds frisser en donkerder) Volgens de baas kwam het er nu aan, was bijna klaar. Na nog eens 10 minuten werd het hoofdgerecht geserveerd door een narrige eigenaar/ manager die zonder enige toelichting de borden op een lompe manier op tafel zetten. Na het hoofdgerecht en nogmaals zeker 15 minuten wachten kwam het dessert wat op zich niet slecht smaakte maar wat het was konden we in het donker niet meer zien. Uiteindelijk na meer dan 3 en half uur ruim 350 euro betaald. Als compensatie werden de 2 FLESSEN WATER NIET GEREKEND. Schandalig. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding is ook matig gezien het kleine formaat van de gerechten. Ons advies, er zijn leukere restaurants in de directe omgeving waar je lekker kan eten voor een prima prijs en binnen een normale tijd. ZINC NIET DOEN

Leider stimmt hier das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht. Die Qualität des Essens entsprach nach einer Wartezeit von über 2 Stunden bei weitem nicht dem Menü Preis. Reklamationen wurden vom Service nur mit Schulterzucken hingenommen.

First of all, compliments that this restaurant serves a (vegetarian) surprise menu. Choosing from an a-la-carte menu is often difficult enough and often leads to less diverse choices. In this case we opted for the 6-course dinner. Each course had its own distinct flavor and we thought about cooking in season (in our case, for example, asparagus). The design of the restaurant is beautiful, sleek and simplistic. The restaurant is not too big and therefore not noisy. Just enjoy a nice dinner. There is a large wine list where the taste is well described. Furthermore, the details are in order (such as taking the coat, offering bread several times, portion size, etc.). Finally, there is parking in a parking garage on the street itself. Recommended!

I went with my girlfriend and my dog and I asked a table for two( the most were free). For unexpected reason (the old man)was rude with me and he had not very kind behavior, he told me that the place was closed for a private party and that my dog was very big for this place...My dog is female Shepherd max high 58cm and 28kg....and very friendly.

WOW!! What a fantastic evening we had. We made a last minute reservation +/- 2 hours before the start, indicating when making the reservation that we would like the 6 course dinner but gluten-free/poor for 1 person. They discussed it with the chef to see if that was possible. When we arrived, we received an amuse-bouche and it was stated that it was gluten-free. The staff had therefore consulted with the chef and everyone on the staff was well informed about who had a dietary wish. So you didn't have to keep asking "Do you have a gluten-free dish here?" The chef did everything he could to make a different dish or an adjustment so that it was gluten-free/poor, really fantastic. Thanks to the Zinc staff, we had an unforgettable evening and will definitely come back!!

Perfect for a wonderful evening in a very cozy atmosphere. The highlight is the kitchen with an artist and expert chef, or more precisely the magician of delicious pampering. We were here for dinner for the 8th time now and there was still more to come. The friendliness and courteousness of the service is indescribable. Especially the 66 year old waiter - a real force.

Great great food! When looking at the menu, some of the dishes might seem “standard” but I highly recommend you order the chef’s menu (3,4,5 or 6 courses) because the dishes are so creative and high quality!

A Thursday evening sometime in November. The idea was to have a bite to eat with my wife in a cozy atmosphere in a restaurant on the Roerkade in Roermond. We end up in the restaurant, or Wine and Dine, called Zinc. Once a place was designated, the feeling was still super romantic until..... a host, walking around as if he were the owner, came to welcome us to the table. As a drink I ordered a bock beer. Well, that one went wrong. In an arrogant tone he said that they are a wine and dining and that bock beer is not on their drinks menu. The way he said this, looking like a cross between Gargamel and Cru, did something to us. Out of common decency, we still ordered a snack board and a bottle of rosé. Of course you will then pay attention to the performance of such a person. We must say.... anything but hospitable. After we had consumed our drink platter, it was taken away from us by the person mentioned without batting an eyelid. Not even the question whether we were done or whether we had enjoyed it. We drank our bottle of rose at some pace and looked for another restaurant in Roermond to end our evening pleasantly. Summary..... if the older host mentioned above were not present, it would certainly be pleasant. Its presence, its antique catering appearance,1 detracts in every respect from the quality that Wine and Dining wants to radiate. Not to the detriment of the younger staff. We must say that all dishes are very expensive.

Great venue, friendly & efficient service, delicious food....the key to culinary success We selected this restaurant because of its location close to the hotel we stayed at for a night and which for whatever reason decided to close its own restaurant for two days a week. Overall we had a great experience, thanks to an energetic young team for which nothing seemed to be too much.....even one of the chefs came out of the kitchen to explain to us the selection of cheese of the cheese platter! The interior is very cosy and we enjoyed very much the rolling dining chairs! From the menu we selected the mushrooms, a bouillabaisse and a fillet of beef Prior to the starter being served we enjoyed two "amuse bouche" ; miso crackers/caviar/black beans/grapefruit and miso soup/onions. All food was well presented and exquisite Definitely a venue we will return to and highly recommended to those after an excellent culinary experience

We had the most wonderful tasting menu at Zinc. We got a warm welcome from JC and his team Dan, Zoe and Kyam. Zinc has an open kitchen and it is easy to see from your table the hard work, creativity and dedication they put into their delicious food. We ll be back!

Wilden starten met kopje koffie en daarna drinken en kleine hapjes bestellen daar is het helaas niet van gekomen. We hebben half uur !!! Zitten wachten op de koffie en hadden toen nog niets...we zijn vertrokken. De oudere heer die bediende daar begon het al mee. Er kon geen begroeting van af, hij zei niets en we zagen bij tafel voor ons dat de spullen die op tafel kwamen erop gekwakt werd waarop deze mensen zich ook al aankeken. We hadden ons er meer van voorgesteld maar zo zijn we nog nergens ooit "bediend". Een schande.

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Abend im Zinc genossen. Wir hatten das 4 Gang Überraschungsmenü und waren sehr zufrieden. Alles war sehr nett angerichtet und sehr schmackhaft. Außergewöhnliche Kombinationen und eine tolle Zusammenstellung der Zutaten. Auf Sonderwünsche wurde eingegangen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Voor de 2de keer hier gaan eten. De eerste keer was alles fantastisch maar nu heb ik toch wat aanmerkingen. Het eten was wederom fantastisch, niets op aan te merken. De sfeer was nu iets minder maar dat kan door het gekozen moment komen. We waren er nu op een regenachtige dinsdag en de vorige keer op een zonnige zaterdag. De service vond ik dit keer een stuk minder. De gerechten kwamen te snel na elkaar waardoor ons 6 gangen dinner in 2,5 uur voorbij was. Dit vonden wij de grootste tegenvaller. De wijn werd op het einde erg snel bijgeschonken waardoor het leek alsof ze wilden dat we zouden gaan. Bij het serveren van het kaasplankje werden de soorten kaas voorgelezen van een blaadje, dit vind ik persoonlijk onprofessioneel. Al met al hadden wij zeer hoge verwachtingen maar zijn deze helaas niet waargemaakt.

Gegeten met een goede vriend uit de Filippijnen. Gekozen voor het vier gangen verassings menu. Fantastiche smaken en erg goede wijnen. Daarnaast werden de gangen geserveerd met een prettige tussenpauze en ook nog een goede toelichting in het engels wat er op het boord ligt. Kortom het ontbrak nergens aan. Een aanrader!

Amuses waren ontzettend lekker! Het 3 gangen menu was ook erg fijn! Enkel had ik de volgende dag wat last van mijn maag. Waarschijnlijk is iets niet helemaal goed gevallen, of te rauw klaargemaakt. Bediening en service, ontzettend vriendelijk!

het is goed zitten daar, leuk uitzicht. De champignons / paddestoelen waren wat flauw gekruid en voor een stukkie medium kalfsvlees mocht het vam buiten iets harder gesmoord. Maar verder oogt het eten erg luxe en is de prijs best gunstig voor een restaurant op die plek.

We were in Roermond for the weekend and decided to have lunch there. I took the menu and my wife ordered als Carte. Boy was the food fantastic and the service really good. We were totally surprised by how young the cook was because the food was prepared like someone who had worked a long time in the business, it was almost a Michelin star worth. We will definitely go back there again.

Aan de Roerkade gegeten bij restaurant Zinc in Roermond… Heerlijk! Genoten van een vier gangen verrassingsdiner terwijl de avondzon langzaam achter de daken zakte en vlak voor het desert helemaal verdween…Zeer gastvrije bediening en het eten was een culinaire verrassing. Alles precies op maat en heerlijke smaken. Genoteerd voor de volgende keer bij een bezoek aan Roermond! Denk niet dat we dan wat nieuws gaan uitproberen…

Het 6 gangen verrassingsmenu was heerlijk, de bediening heel vriendelijk, deze gezellige avond gaan we beslist nog een keer herhalen.

Heerlijk geluncht met ons gezin na een flinke fietstocht. 3 keer salade (vis/garnaal, rund teriyaki en de caesar salade - eerste twee uitstekend, caesar prima, de kip had in iets kleinere stukjes gemogen) en 2 keer de club sandwich met zoete aardappelfrietjes, allemaal erg lekker. Prima bediening en we hadden ons eten snel. De kinderen kregen extra lekkers toen wij nog een espresso toe namen. Top service & heerlijk gegeten!

Heerlijk gegeten, met vriendelijk personeel. Ook de 'oudere gastheer' was zeer gastvrij......niks mis mee!!
