Great burgers and fries for relatively little money. Staff is really friendly too and we waited just about 5-10min for our food. Recommend!

Delicious skin-on fries, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They come with very good sauces. You can't find better fries in Amsterdam.

Zwaggers was very tasty, juicy burgers. Longer wait but it sure is worth waiting for! Lots of benches along the canal in which you can sit with their own seating too.

Fries taste greasy and like old oil since the new owners took over. Snacks are still okay, but quality has dropped. One of the owners could work on his attitude. The younger staff are super nice.

The tastiest fries in the west of what I know dsn, and I am critical. Too bad the boy had a cold this time and was at work. I am panicky in that area and did not like that. But the fries are great and snacks that I take occasionally too. Recommended!

It's not what it used to be anymore. Since the new owner, the quality seems to have slowly deteriorated. The satay sauce of yesteryear is no more and the fries also taste less. The citizens remain just fine.

Clearly old frying oil. It's noticeable in the fries and the flavor. Unfortunately, it's a big disappointment. The fries do come with a lot of mayonnaise.

Far too expensive fries and much less tasty than the previous owners. €8.20 for a bag of fries for 3 people and it was also not enough for 3 people (without snacks without sauce).

One of the few places where you can find the best fries in Amsterdam. For me, there are only 3 locations in Amsterdam where I like to get fries. Even in The Hague or Rotterdam I can't find such tasty fries!

Fries medium warm, they were very crispy and the amount was low. I paid 8,70 for fries special and frikadel special and had to wait 25 min. I was disappointed.

Really nice snackbar in Amsterdam West. The fries are delicious, great crispy texture with a soft interior, and the portions are huge. They also offer many different kinds of croquettes. They have a seating area In front of the stall, definitely give them a try!

Zwagers aan het Bos en Lommerplantsoen 2 is a great place for lovers of crispy, golden brown fries and delicious burgers. The fries are perfectly cooked and their homemade sauces complete it. The burgers are fresh and tasty, and the service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended for a quick, but high-quality meal in Amsterdam West!

I have been going to this place since I first moved here in 2017. Even though it has changed a lot since then they will strive for quality and keeping it affordable. Still the best burgers in the neighborhood, and overall my favourite place for fries in Amsterdam.

The fries were much better with the original owners. I was a dime short in cash, but 40 cents was deducted from my cash payment without asking. When we got home the order turned out to be wrong. From now on we will go to Mr. Mahmoud on Jan Evertsenstraat!

Tasty fries, but the portion for fries and stew is extremely meager for what you pay. I only got a little stew meat in the small sauce container and there was literally 1 piece of meat in it, it was far too little stew meat in relation to the fries and what you paid. Also for 2 croquettes I only got 1 bag of mustard... Too bad, a little more generous would be nice

Small stall serving home made burgers and fries. They have different sauces for the fries, but also snacks such as croquettes and bitterballen. And veggie options. Young and friendly staff. Affordable prices.

This is by far the best burger I ever ate. Very good price point (like 6€ per Burger) and the pattys are big, very crispy and well grilled. The toppings are high quality and not too little or much and the sauces are just on a different level. I ate with friends there randomly because it was close to the hotel we stayed in and after that ate 4-5 times there in the 3 days we stayed in Amsterdam. The service was also super friendly and we had a good chat, while waiting for our food. I can only recommend eating there and hope that they're still open, when im there next time.

My favorite for a long time, but quality varies nowadays. Hard dark brown and greasy (twice fried?) fries. Good vegetarian croquettes and cheese soufflés, and fries can be tasty.

We have been coming to Zwagers for a long time. The staff are very friendly and provide very good service. Delicious fries and burgers. The vegan croquette is also highly recommended.

The quality and taste have been very disappointing for several months now. It turned out to be structurally poor quality. We won't be getting fries here anymore. Pity...

I often think about the impermanence of things, or perhaps paradoxical permanent state of change we find ourselves in during our lives. We all live days that feel the same, played out, monotonous, but this is merely an illusion. For around us there is constant change, we are just not blessed with the awareness or mind to comprehend it. In a way, I find the mundane or usual supremely important. It is a trick that keeps us sane in such a chaotic world. All this to say that the day Zwagers closes, and I can no longer savor the just-greasy-enough burgers and generous portions of tasty fries, I will be on my knees. I will have lost what was a staple meal that I relied on during my many trips to Amsterdam, but I will be eternally grateful for every one I had.

Since the takeover, it seems as if quality has been cut back. The stew looks like it comes from a jar and is not very tasty. Such a shame.

I always liked coming here, but the quality has not been consistent since the takeover. Mistakes were made earlier, I just bought a bag of fries and when I got home they turned out to be dark brown and much too hard, as if too many fries had been fried before and they have now been fried again. Unfortunately I cannot reach Zwagers by phone, but this is really not possible. I would like to get in touch with the owner.

It is a kiosk where they sell the typical fries with hamburgers. I ordered a cheeseburger and a large portion of fries. The french fries are delicious, quite nice actually. The burger is ok, but I did not love it, I expected more based on the comments. 11 euros in total.

Delicious fries here and very affordable burgers. All just a little better than your average snack bar that you find on every street corner. While the price does not differ very much.

Best fries in Amsterdam!! Shame that there isn’t much seating, only two small outdoor tables. But the food makes up for it. Burgers are not bad, don’t think the beef patty is made fresh but it’s still passable. The fries are definitely the star of the show, try it with truffle sauce! 👍👍

Super lekkere friet! Recent een keer een klein probleempje gehad, maar dit is hartstikke tof opgepakt, waarvoor dank. Er wordt hard gewerkt, smaak is goed en er zijn veel vegetarische opties, wij zijn fan!

Hele fijne frietzaak. Zojuist ook een patatje stoofvlees gehaald en begreep dat de zaak is geswitcht van eigenaar. Deze mensen waren ook erg vriendelijk. Alleen kwam ik er thuis achter dat zij een kleiner bakje hebben gebruikt dan voorheen. De prijs is verder niet gewijzigd en dan vind ik de prijs/hoeveelheid verhouding scheef worden (klein bakje voor €6,50) Hoop dat de nieuwe eigenaren dit lezen. Anders fiets ik nog een keer langs want het zou jammer zijn om zo klanten te verliezen. (Ze waren ook nog een beetje aan het zoeken wat er wel / niet op moest. Dus ik snap dat het even wennen is!) Overheerlijk frietje met mayo gegeten. Superkrokant aan de buitenkant, lekker zacht vanbinnen, met pel, en dat voegt alleen maar toe, heerlijke mayo, fijne sfeer en leuk zitten. Lang geleden nog zo’n lekkere friet gegeten. (Van een Belg 😉)

Dit is de allerbeste snacktent van heel Amsterdam. De echte oude authentieke snacks die vreselijk lekker zijn, de patat waarvan elk stukje top is en de holtkamp kroketten die verder niemand verkoopt maakt dit de kers op de taart. Hoop dat ze nog lang blijven!!

Eigenlijk hou ik niet zo van friet met schil… altijd te hard gebakken, die aardse smaak van de schil, niet mijn ding… Maar, deze friet is echt heerlijk! Goed gebakken, zacht van binnen en niet de overheersende smaak van de schil! M’n nieuwe favoriete snack en friet huisje in west! Top!
