Incompetent waitstaff!!! Had to ask for menus after 15 minutes of being there. 15 minutes later, I had to ask if someone could take our order. Prior to ordering, we asked if we could separate the checks and were told no problem. When the time came to check out we were treated like idiots and told that wasn't possible. Won't be back and not only will I not recommend to fellow colleagues but will warn them that the waitstaff is Incompetent and will lie to you just to get you in the door. It's a shame because the food is decent.

We had a delicious meal here with our family! Extremely friendly service and truly delicious food! Good portions. The atmosphere was also very friendly and quiet, very nice. We are from North Holland and were in the area for a weekend. Highly recommended if you are near Vlissingen!

I find a nice establishment. The interior is attractive and neat. The menu is not too extensive, which I think is positive. What they have, they make good and tasty. The service is friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely lunch with the children. Cozy furnishings, everyone is friendly and there is an original menu. This one is very different from many other places. The rib sandwich is ABSOLUTELY recommended :)

Een leuk en zeer sfeervol ingericht restaurant. We hebben hier op Valentijnsdag heerlijk gegeten. Het restaurant was voor die dag passend versierd. De Nacho schotel als vooraf was overdadig en heerlijk en de Lady Steak "boterzacht". Een echte aanrader. Een passend ijsje met ambachtelijk gemaakte cheesecake was een heerlijk toetje; dit alles geserveerd door vriendelijk en kundig personeel.

What a wonderful place to eat. We ate a delicious gourmet dish on the 2nd Christmas. At first we thought it was a bit small, but in the end we were completely full. I asked about the original menu, which I was shown without any difficulty. Even received this as there will be a new menu from January 1st. Definitely recommended. Make a reservation, but there may be no room available. But don't be afraid to go there on a generous tip.

The food was great. Reasonable portions and really tasty (lady steak and geitenkaassalade). The (beetroot/apple) salad that was served with it was great!! And with the salad you could choose between dark or white bread 👍The service was quick and very friendly, and the good atmosphere in the team could also be felt. We'd love to come back!!

We ate here for the first time yesterday and upon entering we were immediately greeted warmly by the staff. The food was very tasty, time was taken for you and the atmosphere was very nice. Highly recommended.

Amazing food, I had the small steak and it was more than enough, partner had a burger. My little one loved the kids meal thay came with a drink, dessert and toy.

The waiters kicked us out one hour before official closure time, they explicitly told us that even if official closure was later, since we were the only table left, they were going kick us out one hour earlier. And it was just to sit out of the bar and chat between them. Shameful, we won't go back there

Het was de dag erg warm en waren een keer aan het strand in Vlissingen. Daarna een hapje eten. Het zag er goed uit maar was uiteindelijk met het eten een totale mislukking. Tussen de bitterballen zat een paar door gebakken stukjes friet. Daarna nog kibbeling genomen. Dat was geen verse vis maar uit de vriezer dat proef je meteen. Heel vreemd, ben in een stad aan de zee en krijg je vis uit de vriezer. Nooit meer hier naartoe.

Our visit to this restaurant with a large group was truly fantastic! The food was extremely tasty and the portions were generous. But what really made our experience unforgettable was the incredibly friendly staff. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and cared for. They were attentive and helpful, even with our large group. A great place to enjoy great food and hospitality!

Tomato soup was very good, the burger was very red in the middle and the fries were in the fryer too long.

A small menu. You immediately think: they value freshness. There is definitely still room for improvement in terms of kitchen technology. The service was super nice and the way our complaint was handled...just TOP!!! Respect. Never experienced anything like this before. Keep it up. Class.

We had eaten here a number of times, but noticed that it was a little busier this time. The food arrived on the table over a longer period of time. My cheeseburger sandwich tasted good (just like the times before) but this time it was almost cold when it was served. The staff does their best and tries to serve everyone quickly.

If you want to eat a good hamburger then this is not the good place. Me and my wife ordered two hamburgers. The steaks were warmed up, which means dry. In addition, it wasn't 100% beef as written on the menu. And the fries, even warmed up, were swimming in oil... Result: my wife was sick... Next time we'll go to Mac d.... And the service, the waiters chatting together... That's normal with a kitchen like this, there aren't that many customers... Never again!

Ik betreur het ten zeerste te moeten zeggen dat mijn ervaring bij restaurant 1618 in Vlissingen verre van bevredigend was. De service was het enigste lichtpunt . Het eten leek opgewarmd uit de magnetron te komen en miste elke vorm van smaak. Dit is de eerste keer dat ik frieten uit karton gegeten heb! en ik loop ik hier toch wel al een 60-tal jaren rond! Het personeel had ons gewaarschuwd dat het 'iets langer ging duren...' Dit was dus meer dan een uur wachten op het slechtste eten ooit . Alles was koud en GEEN smaak. Ik zou dit restaurant ten zeerste afraden aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een aangename culinaire ervaring.

The steak is delicious, quality beef indeed,absolutely recommend . Burger bun is ciabatta bread, not toasted, the cheese is not melt.

In the past you could eat better here. With the steak you got a strange avocado mess, not tasty and it even smelled. The two of us had to share a small bowl of fries and everything was charged extra. Shame!

Friendly service. Waited a very long time for the aperitif. While we were alone in the business. Just sipped the aperitif and the food was ready. Although we had asked when ordering to wait until the appetizer was finished. So I drank an aperitif with dinner. The toy in the children's menu is very nice and sweet.

We waited a long time for someone to come to the table to serve us, and finally called someone ourselves. Ordered a cheeseburger with mayonnaise, but got a regular burger with ketchup. For a burger joint, the burger was very disappointing, I expected more. Unfortunately the steak was on the tough side. The kitchen can't do anything about that. Service was reasonable. No attention was paid if you wanted something and raised your hand.

The first time we went out to eat, the fries were the best ever and the burger was unfortunately dry. The second time the fries weren't really great, the spare ribs were ok.

Great place (at least when it comes to drinks - we didn't eat anything). The frozen cappuccinos are particularly recommended. Absolutely terrific!

Burger and Greek salad were okay... nothing more. Service was absolutely subpar (the waitress preferred to chat with friends present, food was served without cutlery and was thrown on the table when requested - without any motivation). We're not used to that in the Netherlands.

Service was fast and friendly. Also came several times to check if everything was in order. Nice chairs and sofas. Burgers are great. Fries nice and fresh. Don't have to wait long. And the dog was also very welcome. Highly recommended!

My husband is enjoying the fantastic 800 gram steak and I am very happy, especially for me scrambled eggs with ham and cheese because of my new teeth. Really good service and came to ask if it was that good. Been able to eat cheese and something else like soup for weeks now 😁😁😁😁😁

Thought I would have something to eat with a friend. after a businesslike 35 minutes we were able to order food. When the food was finished, it was taken from the table again as normal. Then we had to wait an hour to order something new, the staff was chatting with each other, so we paid. pity

Enjoyed the stone grill with plenty of meat, sauces, fresh bread and fries, very friendly staff. In short, highly recommended! Until next time.

Goat cheese salad, with fig chutney, croutons, seed mix, red onion, walnut.. Anything but tasty: the chutney, the croutons, the seed mix, the red onion was missing... only pale lettuce, and the goat cheese and 3 walnuts, 2 pieces of tomato... and that for 19.90... Really not okay

This sandwich was extremely testy. Meet, cheese and pumpkin seeds - delicious! Will return here definitely to try something else.

Reserved at 1618 because of steakhouse and craving for spareribs. Reserved at 7 p.m., then there is a daily menu with carpaccio and spare ribs on the street. That's a shame, you think, but unfortunately the spareribs are gone... Okay, that can happen, personally I would remove the sign or come up with something else. Then for the most expensive and tender piece of meat on the menu, picanha steak. Unfortunately the next disappointment is full of tendon and cannot be removed. This was reported on time and of course I was able to get a new one, unfortunately my other half is eating alone and then I am too. So this was declined and the apology was neatly offered. It was also said that this was the second time tonight.... It is of course understandable that this can happen, but at least offer compensation or a drink, the professional side of entrepreneurship would be good for you. Unfortunately, after paying our bill of 94.25 for 2 people, I will have to say no more 1618 for the time being. Compliments for the sweet service, but thumbs down for the manager and chef... and certainly the owner.

Unfortunately never again for us. What was supposed to be a nice dinner started in a bad way when both the starter and the main course were not available. These were gone and this already at 6.30 pm? We also ate carpaccio, Vitello tonato and bread with spread for the friends as a starter because they didn't like anything else. There was nothing wrong with the bread, the meat on it was warm while it could still be cold... as a main course we had lady steak, fried eel, and the friends both had a chicken burger. The steak was anything but well cooked and the eel was flat and extremely salty. Really not tasty. The burgers were tasty but apparently very spicy. When the food was cleared and we were asked if it was tasty and we clearly indicated that it was not okay. We simply received the answer oh that's a shame. Unfortunately for okay so definitely not worth the money.

Only had the main course yesterday. But baking a simple picanha is difficult. The first was a rubber ball. Picanha is extremely soft and tender. My other half had a piece like that. He ordered the gentleman steak. We suspect this was served incorrectly. I gave the rubber ball back. This was also raw and not medium. The second one that was served was better, but again raw and not yet buttery tender as it should be. Maybe you can try this on someone who has no idea. But I am a meat connoisseur and this is cheating the customer. Shame. The staff is also very friendly!

Delicious food! We visited this restaurant with 5 people, 2 adults and three children. Fast and friendly service. The food was delicious. Next time we will also order a portion of fries with the spareribs ;)
