King Shoarma Steakhouse Vlissingen in Binnenstad

The last few times I've had really bad food. Spare ribs were tough and/or burnt. Fries that were only pre-cooked. I just ordered them again because they used to be incredibly delicious, but they're inedible now. I had fries again that weren't cooked, they seemed soggy. If you buy your steak there and ask for medium, you get it undercooked. I'm done with it, we'll never order from here again. It's just a waste of money.

I ordered two shawarma platters and was done after a few bites. The shawarma was swimming in grease, and the (lamb) shawarma didn't look like it came off a skewer. It was just strips of meat and didn't look like it had been cut off a skewer at all. I think they just fried it in the pan, which explains the amount of grease. The shawarma spices didn't remind me of real shawarma either; they tasted like the standard spices you can buy in the supermarket. Also, the fries and pita bread were soggy, and there was only a small bowl of salad. Very poor for that price, and then you have to pay a ridiculous plastic tax on top of that, even though my order was almost 40 euros. The delivery person was friendly, though, which is the only positive thing about my experience with this place. Edit: the other dish with onion and pepper was shawarma meat from a skewer and wasn't swimming in grease. That's why I'm giving it three stars instead of one. Edit 2 (a year later): Ordered two more King shoarma platters and an extra mixed salad. The shoarma itself was okay, but the fries were still lukewarm and limp, and the €7 mixed salad was just some dry iceberg lettuce, huge diagonally sliced ​​cucumber slices, 2cm thick, and enormous thick tomato slices that were completely inedible with the shoarma platter. And €7 for such a small mixed salad with 0.50 cents worth of ingredients is absolutely ridiculous. I don't trip over the same stone three times, so never again King Shoarma.

The business is well run, the food is high quality and delicious, the service is knowledgeable and attentive.

Unfortunately, the service was very slow, and our order wasn't taken correctly. Two main courses were brought, even though one of them hadn't been ordered – particularly annoying since it was a steak for our 8-month-old son, who obviously can't eat steak yet. The quality of the food also left a lot to be desired: excessively greasy, lots of butter – overall not very appetizing. The staff was barely present, so you mostly felt left to your own devices. The ambiance seems quite inviting at first glance, but combined with the service and the quality of the food, it gives the impression of a fast-food joint rather than a restaurant. Overall, it was unfortunately not a good experience.

Sometimes it's so good you think it can't get any better. Other times it's so bad that the ribs are so fatty it's absolutely disgusting! I'm done with it! The first place in Vlissingen that has good food and is consistently serving food is going to make money! They don't give a damn here.

Update: unfortunately in recent months (now 25-01-2025) delivery takes a very long time. The site states a waiting time of 90 minutes, but that has already passed by 15 minutes... the food is still good, but there are several businesses with good food, so there is a good chance that you will lose customers this way!!!

First time here ordered/picked up Hot Spareribs, because the doors of the competitors were closed! I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality and the large portions of the Hot Spareribs delivered. This is my new address for Hot Spareribs! 👍

Wrote a good review before (years ago) but after that things waned a bit at Kings. My super review was then removed. But to be fair, I have ordered 3 times in the past few months and three times it has been a big ten! Or in Google language, 5 stars. I normally order with the request, lean pieces, nicely done and extra marinade (you can request that). Tastes vary, but we usually have hot and garlic. What a super tasty marinade and perfect spare ribs. The shawarma is also great. I am so happy that there is such a top place nearby. Thanks Kings. Please don't change anything! Ordered on Monday, garlic spare ribs and a children's menu hamburger. Children's menu for €9.50.. the hamburger was a plain hamburger in a weak pita bread. Add 10 fries, a carton of juice from Lidl and a plastic severed finger with a bloody nail as a gift? Today we ordered food from King. Shawarma king sandwich and spareribs sweet with fries and garlic sauce. As usual, delicious food! Delivery on time! There was sunshine in the house. The spare ribs were also delicious! The fries were fried until golden brown and not soggy! And the shawarma king was also masterfully seasoned and not too spicy. Definitely worth the 5 stars from me! Order placed. The site states a delivery time of 35 to 45 minutes. Called after an hour. They would be there in half an hour, they still had to start(!). Called again after 40 minutes. People were working on it. Delivery took place after 2 hours and 10 minutes. We had to prepare sandwiches ourselves... everything was delivered separately. Worthless company. This was the first and last time.

They gave us rotten lettuce as salad, shashlik simply wasn't shashlik.

We had a great meal here! The portions are a bit on the right size, but better too much than too little.

Had dinner here late at night and had a Turkish döner pizza. Huge in size and incredibly good in taste. Friendly owner. Will definitely come here more often.

Um es vorwegzunehmen: es ist kein Steakhouse. Es ist ein Imbiss, der auch Steaks anbietet. Das Essen war gut, aber das Auge isst nunmal mit. Und da ist der Imbiss renovierungsbedürftig. Ich hatte einen KING-Teller mit verschiedenen Fleischsorten (geschnetzelt), das scharf angebraten wurde. Sehr leckere und selbstgemachte Soßen waren dabei, die allerdings das trockene Fleisch nicht ganz kompensieren konnten. Pommes waren gut, der Salat auch gut, von der Menge her aber eher nur Dekoration. Getränke gibt es aus Dosen, keine Becher oder Gläser. Service war freundlich.
