The BEST bakery in Rotterdam. All their bread is delicious!! The staff is always friendly and in addition to the tastiest breads for home use, there are also pastries available, which are also fantastic! Definitely recommended. Even if you like coffee.

This is one of the best bakeries in Rotterdam. It is so good I don’t even mind biking 20 minutes to get there. My favorite is the cinnamon bun and their buurtbrood. The food is 10/10 What I enjoy the most is the art exhibitions in the bakery. While enjoying a nice focaccia, you can see the art of a local artist presented in the bakery. Every 2-3 months they present a different artist and you can even buy the artworks on the spot. And they are very affordable. Do yourself a favor and try the different types of bread and croissants they have, what a feast!

I've only been here twice but Aap noot brood already stole my heart. Their pain au chocolat is probably one of the best I've ever eaten (flaky on top, buttery, a touch of salt and the right amount of choco). It is close to my office - will come back often!

Please note: 4.5 stars; the local bread is really tasty, the inside of the place looks nice, the service from the owner is excellent, some minuses or points for improvement: some breads are priced (too?) high for what they like (sugar bread €8.50) and the filter coffee was too acidic. But make no mistake, this does not detract from the appeal of Aap Noot Brood. It is a gem in Schiemond / Delfshaven. We will definitely come back!

Brilliant baked goods with lovely people running it. Perfect to sit outside and enjoy the view on the nieuwe Maas. Inside artists show their designs and artworks. I get my fresh bread each week!

What a nice place in Rotterdam West. You just need to know where it is, but then you have found a nice spot. Employees are the friendliest. Treat yourself to a moment of quality time: order a tasty sweet or savory snack with a cup of tea inside, take it outside and sit on the bench by the Maas. Urban zen at its best!

Very nice place with super tasty bread

I happened to wander in here around lunchtime looking for something to eat. I found the products quite pricey (€3+ for a croissant). higher than many other bakers, but perhaps I have a distorted image because I am not from Rotterdam. I brought an apricot nut bread for €6.50. And this one was just delicious. There is nothing to criticize about that at all.

A den of delectable delights! Have a filter coffee, a croissant and enjoy the art-filled wall. Delicious bread (biological, fermented dough) to take home.

Perfect neighborhood bakery. Their baked goods are fantastic, everything from pastries to bread is delicious. The space has a communal table seating for maybe 12 people so you're very much encouraged to hang out with your neighbors. They also serve delicious batch brew coffee or tea. Also people there are very friendly. For us the location is inconvenient but it's very much worth the detour.

Bought a nice crunchy sour desum 🍞. And cheese onion puff pastry rolls. Both delicious and definitely worth the detour. Friendly help 👍 Be on time, while supplies last 😉

Amazing bread and pastries, with a super relaxed neighbourhood vibe. Kids and dogs are welcomed (and encouraged), and they always have fantastic artists on display. It's a wonderful place to have in the area!

Als bakkerijen stamkroegen konden zijn, dan kun je Aap Noot Brood ons stamcafé noemen. Je komt er niet alleen voor je brood, maar ook voor de gezelligheid. Simche en Finh zijn de buurtbakkers van dit übergezellige tentje. Aan de lange tafel geniet je van hun heerlijke lekkernijen en filterkoffie. En terwijl je een gratis refill krijgt, kun je de kunst van Rotterdamse kunstenaars bewonderen. De ideale plek om op een vrije ochtend te hangen.

Holy moly. Wat een lekker gebak ( cinnamon roll en amandelcroissant).

Vriendelijke eigenaar en goed eten. Locatie is enige minpunt. Vrij afgelegen.

Op aanraden van onze buren voor het eerst uitgeprobeerd. Het lekkerste zuurdesem brood die wij ooit hebben gegeten! 5 sterren zijn te weinig wij geven ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫. Wij houden van zuurdesem brood en hebben van verschillende bakkerijen van Rotterdam ook van de bekende bakkerijen het zuurdesem brood uitgeprobeerd maar geen enkele zuurdesem brood was zo lekker en zo goed als die van hier. Voor ons staat zuurdesem brood= aap noot brood! Je merkt en proeft dat de ingrediënten zorgvuldig uitgekozen zijn en dat het met liefde is gemaakt! We hebben het buurtbrood , volkoren desem, focaccia, kaneel brood, amandel croissant gekocht. Alles was echt overheerlijk! Als je eenmaal deze ambachtelijke bakker heb ontdekt denk ik dat je niets anders meer gaat willen. Ik denk dat wij boffen met deze buurt bakker! Ik zie de Koekela potentie hier en ik denk dat ze de toekomst als ze eenmaal zijn ontdekt door een grotere publiek een begrip in Rotterdam gaan worden!!!!

We hadden een teamlunch hier! Echt heerlijke broodjes en ontzettend leuk personeel! Dikke aanrader!

Een hele fijne bakker met aandacht voor de authentieke producten én voor de klanten. Als klant voel je je welkom, er hangt een relaxte sfeer. En daarnaast zijn het brood en de bolussen een aanrader!

Wat een heerlijke tent! De geur van vers brood en (h)eerlijke koffie komt je bij binnenkomst tegemoet en de humor ligt er spreekwoordelijk op straat. Gelachen en genoten, echt een aanwinst voor de buurt!👌

Fantastisch verborgen plekje in Rotterdam! Als broodliefhebber vind ik dit echt een aanwinst voor de wijk. De koffie met chocolade brioche waren een heerlijk begin van de dag. Neem een van hun zuurdesembroden mee en je snapt wat ik bedoel.

Het brood is echt fantastisch lekker en de eigenaren (Vinh en Symche) geven hun eigen allure aan de locatie. Super initiatief en top kwaliteit!

Lekker zuurdesembrood en een gezellige plek om even koffie te drinken. Het was erg fijn om hier een ontbijtje te kunnen eten na een nachtje slapen bij Culture Campsite! We namen gelijk wat brood mee naar huis. Ze bieden ook een broodabonnement aan waarmee je wekelijks brood kunt halen, een aanrader voor wie in de buurt woont.

Super friendly folks who make diverse and tasty bread. Their coffee is also nice and the interior is a pleasant bright blue color. There's also some art on display which also livens up the place. The onion cheese bread is a particular favorite of mine along with their sourdough. Definitely give this place a try!
