Ordered a cake for my birthday. Eddie's was closed, but pickup was still possible. I went to Eddie's at the agreed-upon time, but no one was there or available. I picked up a cake at the supermarket. I called around 6 p.m. and they had completely forgotten the order. Such a shame for a special birthday... I did get my money back, but still... Not good for a business.

This is a great place. It is a family run bakery. The people are al nice and they appreciate their customers. Furthermore the kapsalon döner or anything else is good. It's hygenic and clean. Nothing wrong with a family run company.

For a party at the daycare center, I placed a large order of snacks at Bakehouse Rotterdam. I called beforehand to inquire about the types of snacks and their prices. During this conversation, the employee told me he didn't know the exact prices, but that the order would be cheaper due to the large order. They also said I needed to place the order immediately because everything would be freshly made and the baker was about to leave. Due to time constraints and preparations, I stopped by that same day to pay for the order. I paid €55 for one small and one large tray of Moroccan cookies. I paid €165 for the snacks, even though they said it would normally be €175 and that I would receive a €10 discount. Upon receiving the receipt, I noticed that it only listed the total amount, without any itemized details about the products or prices. Finding this odd, I called to inquire about the individual prices. During this conversation, a staff member told me that briwats normally cost €3.25 each, but that with my order, they would be €2.25 each due to the large quantity. This was later denied, however, and I was told that this price was never mentioned. When I asked for a price list, I was told that prices vary per order and that different rates apply for larger orders. My request for these prices in writing was ignored. Moreover, there are no prices clearly displayed anywhere, neither in the store nor on the website. I also requested a clear, itemized invoice listing the purchased products and their prices. I was told that this is only possible for business customers and that the childcare provider's information would be required. I find it very remarkable that, as a private customer, I would not be entitled to a clear receipt or invoice with product information. Because the snacks were already freshly made and I needed them for the party, I had no choice but to pay. So be warned, the appetizers were decent, and I received many compliments from others about the food. But definitely not worth the money.

A very cozy, beautiful shop. We had a delicious croissant with almonds there; it was absolutely delicious. We were helped by the very friendly owner.
