Went out for dinner with some colleagues yesterday. The ambiance and courtyard are very beautiful; it is a pleasant place to sit, and clearly a lot of attention has been paid to it. The staff is polite, but young, inexperienced, and not in sync with one another. It wasn't very busy, but drinks take a long time to arrive after ordering. The bread we ordered arrived after fifteen minutes and was truly nothing special. A number of people had pasta, and that looked fine. I had a pizza pollo picante myself; I think the crust was rolled out with a rolling pin, so it had no edge, was the same thickness everywhere and not airy anywhere. It felt like a piece of plywood in terms of thickness and how hard it was. The topping looked and tasted like a frozen pizza (chicken cubes, quite sloppy). I don't know what kind of pizza maker this was, but they really should order the Pizza Bible (no joke); this was not an Italian pizza and it was the worst pizza ever. The other pizzas looked similar. The food and chaotic service were quite substandard and do not fit the beautiful restaurant. I will not be coming back here.

Ate here; the food and atmosphere were fine. Service was... No drink or dessert order taken, or even asked about, didn't ask how the food was, and not even a quick check during the meal. The atmosphere was otherwise fine, but this service really ruined it.

This is truly one of, if not the, best Italian places. The food was exceptional and delicious. Super tasty and prepared by a chef who clearly loves their job. From the delicious, airy bread roll as a starter, the pasta which was perfectly creamy and flavorful so that you could taste every ingredient, to the freshly cut ginger for the tea, everything here was excellent. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful restaurant with tasty food, but very poor service! They didn't come by even once to ask if we wanted something to drink. We had ordered bread rolls in advance, but we had to ask for them after our starter because they still hadn't been brought. We were very disappointed by this!

Gave it another chance with 8 people, but unfortunately, it didn't improve. After we pointed out at the bill of 177 euros for 8 people that this was far too little, it turned out they had charged the wrong table. Unfortunately, our honesty wasn't really appreciated; the difference was nearly 400 euros. Well... we won't be coming back. Had a delicious meal here with 6 people. Not everything went flawlessly, but the friendly lady and gentleman at our table resolved everything properly. Definitely recommended. Now, 2 months later, visited again with 5 people. Waited 1.5 hours for our main course while there were at most 10 guests. Then received cold food. No, we are not going to do this again; truly, not a single dish was good.

A truly beautiful restaurant and delicious food! It is very atmospherically decorated with cozy corners and lovely decor. Some dishes are prepared at the table, which looks impressive. It tasted really good too! I will definitely come back to eat here again.

Cozy ambiance and pleasant service. Nice menu with good choices, not just the standard dishes. The food was okay, but not surprising. The risotto was a bit mushy, the pasta too salty, and neither was really refined. The dessert, however, was fine, original, and made with care.

The price-quality ratio is off. Messy service, wine forgotten, wrong pizza, undercooked pizza, bread roll forgotten, lukewarm white wine. It was compensated on the bill, though there was a mistake there too... The salad was very good, but the pasta with shrimp was way too greasy with only a few shrimp.

Been here for the 2nd time; the 1st time was great, but this time it was a complete farce. We ordered an Italian nacho as a starter and 2 pizzas. It took a very long time, and then the pizzas arrived, one of which was half burnt. Sent back, first the nacho, which eventually arrived: cold and without guacamole; that was supposed to be brought later, but it didn't happen. We took it back to the kitchen ourselves and expressed our dissatisfaction. Eventually, a new nacho arrived; it tasted fine, though. Then we waited for the pizzas; it took a long time, the extremely unmotivated pizza maker dropped one on the floor (you have a view of the kitchen) and slowly started making another pizza while the other one stood smoking in the oven.... That was it for us: we paid and left. We received a voucher from the excellent manager, but the dining experience was already completely ruined, unfortunately. *** UPDATE *** If you express your dissatisfaction via this medium, you must be honest and also express your satisfaction, so: Just received a call from Lyanne, the owner of Alberto's. She offered her sincere and honest apologies multiple times. What had happened was truly unacceptable; the demotivated pizza baker was clearly corrected and was supposed to be kicked out, which in my opinion is a justified choice / decision. A pleasant and good conversation, and we really appreciate that. In fact: we will redeem the voucher we received from the (top) manager with confidence in due course. That is why I have adjusted the service rating from 1 star to 5 stars. My wife spoke to the demotivated pizza baker on the line later (fortunately for him, because I had told him VERY clearly what I think of him); he called himself, and he also offered his apologies, which does him credit. Fair is fair.

Well, sometimes everything is just fine, but still not quite your thing. I had wanted to eat here for a long time, but it couldn't live up to the (perhaps too high) expectations. The pizzas are thin, but not crispy. I don't think they come from a wood-fired oven. The pasta was tasty, but not very special. Nice plates and well-presented. Drinks took a long time. One glass of wine was on the table almost immediately. The rest took nearly fifteen minutes. Our wait staff were very friendly, but others walked around with less cheerful faces. This also applies to the kitchen staff. Partly because of this, it doesn't feel homey and warm. It may be that this is a deliberate choice, but hence the initial comment that this isn't our thing.

I told them I have ADHD so I get overstimulated easily. They picked out the right table for me; the staff was super, super friendly.

The food took an incredibly long time to arrive. Everything else was good, although the pesto pasta lacked flavor. We then wanted to order coffee and desserts. The coffee arrived much sooner than the desserts, and a cappuccino was also missing. When we inquired about this, it turned out the order had been double-checked, resulting in duplicate coffees. The desserts didn't arrive until almost half an hour later, after we'd requested them four times. This, despite us being the only people in the restaurant. The sugarloaf dessert and the tiramisu tasted like they smelled of a refrigerator, and the crème brûlée wasn't particularly good either. After we mentioned this to the waiter, he did remove the coffee from the bill. Aside from the friendly young man who helped us, the rest of the service was downright disinterested and poor. We won't be returning.

Our experience started off badly with the reservation. We didn't receive a confirmation email and assumed it hadn't been processed. We emailed again, but no response. We called the day before the appointment, and sure enough, the online reservation had worked. Then you ordered your drinks and food, and yes, you also needed to visit the restroom. There was no paper in the ladies' restroom. The time was 5:45 PM, so it was early evening. The check was 0.0. We reported it immediately, and it was replenished immediately. Then the pizzas arrived. They're supposed to be hot from the oven and served immediately, but they were lukewarm. The last slice was cold. We expressed our displeasure. Eating out should be a pleasant evening. For us, it was a huge disaster. It was the last time for us after a previous bad experience at Alberto's.

On Boxing Day, we had dinner: - Staff walked by the entrance, looked at us, but didn't bother to give us a warm welcome. - Our first drink was taken after 45 minutes (at our request). - Our order was taken after an hour (a four-course menu had been discussed in advance when we made the reservation). - When the first course was served, we weren't told what we would be getting. The soup contained an ingredient with a very overpowering odor. Knowing what you're eating makes you enjoy it more. One of our salmon was frozen. - We were disappointed with the second course... We were out of scallops. Strange, because the purchases should be tailored to the reservation we made in advance. - For the third course, we were served sirloin steak. We had requested medium-rare meat. It was served raw and (refrigerator-cold). The pieces of meat could be returned. - The last course was delicious. Chocolate mousse with pineapple and a basil dressing. NB. There was one young woman serving, who did everything perfectly. She took charge, explained each dish, kept the drinks flowing, and arranged for a "replacement" for the cold cuts of meat. When we were paying, we were urged to offer a discount. The excuse we received for the evening was that it was a busy and chaotic evening... "The place wasn't even full!" As you can imagine, we won't be returning.

We booked a wine tasting for 3 people with antipasti. You can choose from various antipasti. We opted for a platter for 3 people instead of 2. I thought the antipasti platter was a bit small because there were two of us who had gastric bypass surgery, and we usually have enough. So we ordered two more main courses: pasta made with cheese and pizza mortodello. It was absolutely delicious, and the service and friendliness were excellent. The wines were also delicious and complemented the dishes perfectly, or perhaps by personal preference, as the staff had carefully chosen them. It's because it's so far away that we were there for the musical 40/45. This restaurant is highly recommended before or after the musical.

Located opposite Barneveld Centrum station, it's easy to find. We had made a reservation, which I recommend on a Friday evening. It was packed. As soon as I walked in, I found the decor chic and classy. It appealed to me. My beef stew with penne came with a delicious sauce, very tasty. And they'd put plenty of meat in it. For dessert, I had the cheese board with five kinds of cheese. It tasted wonderful with the red fruit compote. Our grandson smelled the strong aroma and wasn't too keen on trying a piece. I told him I used to feel the same way, but now I love it. One minor complaint is that it took a while between courses, sometimes a half-hour wait. The service was attentive and kept an eye on us to see if we needed anything else. Highly recommended!

The food was mediocre and not worth the price. The salmon was fine, but the potatoes were tough and there were no other vegetables. The 26 euro pizza was incomplete (they forgot the panzetta), but they didn't offer to add it. A free drink was the only thing offered. Not recommended.

What incredibly hospitable people! We even got a lift from the helpful and friendly manager, as there were no taxis available. Where else can you find such excellent service?!

Nice cosy restaurant, good and friendly service with a good selection of wines. Food wise, ok but not brilliant. Bruschetta Pomodoro was very poor, more like Melba toast drenched in oil with a Mexican tomato salsa. Canelloni tasteless, dry and burnt. Pizza’s not bad, but not quite the crust I’d expect from an Italian pizza but one of our party had the pizza con carpaccio which was tasty.

We had reserved a time slot from 18:00-19:30. To be on the safe side, we indicated upon arrival that we really had to leave at 19:45 because of a theater performance. After almost 2 HOURS WAITING for 4 PIZZAS, we finally had to eat them on the way (paid €80 for them)... So do NOT reserve here if you want to be on time for your theater performance

Very dissatisfied. We had made a reservation and indicated that we had to leave by 6:00 PM because of the show we wanted to see. That was no problem, they would take that into account. Had to ask several times where our dishes were because of the time. No communication, that something might have gone wrong, no question if we wanted something to drink. In the end we waited more than an hour for our main course, which was only reserved after 6:15 PM. (they first came to the table with the wrong dishes). We also expressed our dissatisfaction when paying, but nothing more than "that's annoying" came. We left the restaurant in a hurry, to be on time for the show. In short, not recommended, if you have another appointment afterwards. (The main courses were also not very special, but that may be our taste.)

Unfortunately we only received our first drinks after 40 minutes…. The atmosphere on the terrace was nice, but the staff did not often come by to take another drink. There was a female clerk who was very friendly! Once inside, the food was a bit disappointing, the pastas were very bland and had little taste. Salt and pepper were nowhere to be seen. The guinea fowl was also not tasty and ordinary. Once a mistake was made at checkout, it can happen, but no real apology was offered for this. After paying we walked away and not even a see you or anything was said. Unfortunately we had a less pleasant experience.

Lack of napkins. In other words, received none. Food was decent but pricey for the quality offered.

Wow, what a surprise the 4 of us were with the 'shared dining' menu! Delicious Antipasti beforehand, main courses also delicious and a delicious dessert afterwards. We really enjoyed it and the quantity was more than enough. Also a compliment to the service, which is very friendly and funny.

Service & atmosphere were excellent, with good assistance upon arrival and with service at the table. Afterwards we were also able to talk nicely about our experience of the evening, thank you for that. The conclusion is that the taste seems absent or does not always fit in combination within the dish. A shame, because the idea behind the dish is present somewhere, but the refinement is lacking in its execution. Well, tastes differ and unfortunately for us no hit today.

Not recommended for a quick bite to eat before a theater performance! At 6:15 PM our reservation was until 7:45 PM. Only bread and bruschetta (which was really inedible) ordered in advance so that we would be sure to leave on time and then only a main course. At first the wine was forgotten, so we could follow. We only received the main course at 7:45 PM even though we had clearly indicated that we had to leave before 8:00 PM due to... theater performance (and the reservation was only until 7:45 PM?) Forgotten fries with the main course, we had to go back and only got them when my husband's main course was already finished... I had a pasta dish that I didn't eat completely because of... not to have time anymore. What a tragedy it was and I am really disappointed that our visit turned out this way.

Went for something to eat together with 2 colleagues during a short break at the end of the day, before overtime started. Nice decor and friendly staff. Colleagues ordered a pizza and they were fine. Unfortunately, with the best will in the world, I couldn't say this about the lasagna I ordered. Downright disappointing, because it had nothing to do with a nice, real lasagna. I received a fairly small portion in a metal bowl containing some ground beef with a weak tasting tomato sauce hidden between a few layers of dough. Topped with some cheese and then heated in the grill instead of the oven as it should be. The bowl was also cold at the bottom. In short, the sauce at the bottom was also just cold and tasteless. The cook had also never heard of béchamel sauce as an important part of the lasagna, even though it was mentioned on the menu. Just wasn't there... Fortunately, both colleagues gave me a piece of pizza so that I could start overtime without feeling hungry. Pizzas were fine, so just a bad job with that rubbish that passed for lasagna. Shame.

Something went wrong with our order on Friday evening, but thanks to Lyanne's fast, friendly and helpful response, it was quickly resolved. In compensation, we received an extremely generous allowance – truly beyond expectations! We also received very friendly and attentive help from the nice staff when picking up the item. Thanks for the great service again! We would love to eat in the restaurant again soon once the move/renovation is finally completed ;)

Ate here twice in the past few weeks. The staff is friendly, the food delicious, and the atmosphere cozy. The time between courses could be a little faster, but the tables are beautifully and carefully set with a personal nameplate. The presentation of the dishes is sometimes somewhat variable. The second time something went wrong with the reservation, although it remained unclear exactly what the cause was. However, this was resolved well: we were allowed to sit at the bar and received an amuse-bouche on the house. Afterwards we were also offered a limoncello. You can park for free at the station opposite the restaurant or on Vetkamp street.

No repeat for us. The carpaccio tunna was too salty. The fish was a small piece and the gnocchi had such a strong taste that you eat little of it, so you are still hungry after a starter and main course. Quality and price are certainly not in proportion. Not worth repeating for us.

The starter was indeed quick, but then we waited almost an hour for our main course. Both starter and main course were not warm. There was no time for the coffee from our menu. A bit of a shame.

Tonight we had dinner here with a total of 3 people. Taste-wise, the food was quite good, but the fish soup and spaghetti I ordered were cold. I thought the service was terrible. We couldn't help but smile and the waiting time for the dishes was quite long. The low point was at the end when we had been waiting for 2 coffees and a tiramisu for over half an hour. After asking the waiter, they promised that it would be on the table within a minute. But unfortunately, after 5 minutes there was still nothing on the table and we canceled the coffee and tiramisu. Fortunately, they were also taken off the bill. As far as I'm concerned, no more Alberto's!

The food AND service were excellent. I've been to many many FINE dining restaurants. I mean Michelin star restaurants. This was better than any of those restaurants. Tim, you and the rest of the kitchen staff deserve more than a Michelin star. Noor was the waitress that attended to our very needs and she was a superstar. Thank you Alberto's and staff. It was a perfect night. Thank you Noor for the recommendations. You recommended the Scallaps as an antrée and it was perfectly prepared by the chef. It melted like butter in my mouth. It was perfect. The best I've ever had. For the main course I had the duck breast and my wife had the Simentaller Entrecote. Again perfectly prepared and served. It was to die for. 10/10.

We had a delicious meal at Alberto's Barneveld during our stay in the area. The food and drinks were very tasty, even though it was perhaps on the pricey side (compared to other Italian restaurants we regularly visit). The staff was very friendly. We just thought it took a little while before we were helped, and we also had to wait a little longer for our food, even though it was very quiet.

Nice meal outside. Nice.... Between the wooden posts and waving grass. Still, I have 2 points for improvement... Just like Bed and Breakfast from Omroep max.... I always take a pizza calzone with an extra cup of bolognaise sauce and guess what... It's just like sometimes at Lingo... It's not on the menu. Oh boy.....What a big setback. Then the music blaring from a box outside next to our table... Terrible Lounge music like you hear in a trendy beach bar... Terrible beat... Constantly repeating sounds that no one really wants. . Dit was de vijfde keer dat we in dit restaurant gingen dineren en het moet gezegd, de vorige keren was het perfect. Nu waren we daar met buitenlandse familie waaronder een junior van 6 jaar. Om 17.45 gereserveerd en er werd direct gevraagd of er een flesje water gewenst werd. Hierna 20 minuten moeten wachten alvorens er, nadat er door ons om gevraagd was, een drankje besteld kon worden. Daarna werd de bestelling opgenomen; deze werd door ons simpel gehouden omdat de tafel naast ons ook al een uur had moeten wachten op een pizza die niet goed warm opgediend werd. Onze junior kreeg een kleurplaat waar hij 5 kwartier aan heeft kunnen werken alvorens hij z'n bord pasta kreeg. 3 van de 4 volwassenen konden het gerecht waarderen. De vierde had iets anders besteld en dit had toch wat lang onder de "rode " lamp gestaan. Opmerkelijk ook dat er nooit door een medewerker gemeld werd dat er problemen met de personeelsbezetting waren, wat je als gast wel degelijk kon zien. De vraag of het hoofdgerecht direct geserveerd kon worden of iets later, was volkomen misplaatst. Al met al een teleurstellende ervaring dit keer en wil dit adres voorlopig aan me voorbij laten gaan.

We ate here with 7 people, 6 of whom had the sharing dinner. The food was really excellent, but the surprise was that the dish we received for 6 people was exactly the same as for 4, even though you had to pay € 80.00 more for it. It was a bit chaotic anyway and they wanted to make up for that with something nice to go with their coffee. This saving grace consisted of a small piece of nougat and a small soda. When we got home we all had a strange feeling about it, so we contacted the restaurant again. We received sincere apologies because this should not have happened this way. We were supposed to receive a dinner voucher, but unfortunately that never happened. It's a shame that it turned out this way because the food and atmosphere are excellent.

We sat inside because it was a bit chilly. It is beautifully decorated inside. We did the wine tasting. The waitress was very friendly and explained each wine well. The appetizer board that comes with the wine tasting had a variety of snacks and was very tasty. I will definitely go back to try their dinner menu

Beautiful restaurant, cool, hip design. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. The food was really good, we enjoyed the pizzas and pasta. The desserts were tasty and special. Some dishes were prepared with great pleasure by the staff at the table. We were very satisfied!
