Ambiance Restaurant in Wijk 07 Scheveningen

The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly, enthusiastic, and competent—a rarity in these times of staff shortages! We had a three-course meal through a social deal: good value, generous portions, and allergies were well taken into account! (We don't recognize the reviews about unfriendly staff at all, but it might depend on who's working.)

I rarely start a review so directly, but I think this restaurant really deserves a mention. When I walked in, I immediately felt welcome. That might sound simple, but for me, it's important; I love it when a restaurant feels a bit like stepping into a familiar place, even if it's your first time. The service was friendly, attentive, and present at just the right moment. You can just tell when people enjoy their work, and that immediately adds a sense of calm to the evening. The chicken schnitzel on the teppan was exactly what I'd hoped for: tender, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The lamb chop was wonderfully tender and full of flavor, and the sushi was remarkably fresh and neatly rolled. I always pay attention to that, as I hate sushi that's been sitting around for a while, but here you could taste that everything was truly fresh. My alcohol-free cocktail was a pleasant surprise: refreshing, nicely balanced, and not overly sweet. Just perfect. The dessert completed the meal: light, flavorful, and not too heavy, and I was especially pleased with the pandan cake, which was wonderfully light and had a delicate, soft flavor. A small detail perhaps, but for me, it was a real winner. What struck me most was how genuinely the staff spoke to you. No rehearsed lines, just genuine interest. I really appreciate that. I went home with a warm and satisfied feeling. This is one of those places I'll definitely return to.

I love the Korean fried chicken at this shop! It's so delicious!! I recommend getting thai sweet and spicy sauce.
