Today, August 12th, during a walk between Abcoude and Weesp, we wanted to have lunch here. The gates were open. It wasn't visible on the website that it was closed. At the entrance, there was no "Closed" sign. Just one small note saying "closing" on a window. We went to sit on a bench in the large garden for a rest. After 10 minutes, a gentleman of about 60 came out, swearing and threatening with waving arms, agitated and insulting us (I am 73, girlfriend 33), saying he was fed up that people had been sitting there all week. At first, I tried to tell him that we didn't know this and that there were no "closed" signs anywhere. More unfriendliness followed. The man was unresponsive, and I started getting angry too. We hadn't done anything wrong. We said, "You should have hung a note at the entrance or closed the gate." More threatening swearing. Afraid of escalation (I am visually impaired), I walked away. My girlfriend continued to speak to him a bit more calmly until he went inside, still swearing. "Is this how you receive your guests?" It is a disgrace. And I will tell everyone that. Maybe even file a police report for threats.

Lovely place, especially if you want to sit down and relax with your toddler for a while. They also have a delicious high tea!

Fabulous place, 10 minute bike ride from Gein Metro station, beautiful countryside by the gorgeous river Gein. The water lillies are wonderful at the moment.

A cozy spot in the middle of the meadows. Here you can enjoy a delicious coffee, have lunch, taste milk fresh from the cow, buy some products, and kids can have fun playing in the playground.

Very pleasant atmosphere, nice scenery, chill vibes, decent food. All in all we liked being here, however the service was quite slow, not customer centric.

We usually enjoy small, independent cafés. This experience was particularly disappointing. Service was utterly chaotic and disorganised. We waited over an hour to get a drink. We spent 30 minutes at the table without being served, then another 15 minutes at the counter just to place our order. Apple cake was already sold out shortly after 12. We were first brought cappuccinos instead of the two latte macchiatos we had ordered. Guests who arrived after us were served long before us. After more than an hour, we finally received the correct drinks. The two latte macchiatos were lukewarm, had first been taken to the wrong table, and even basic things like sugar had to be requested. A sign in the café reads: “By supporting other local small businesses, you are making someone else very happy.” After this experience, it feels less like supporting a local business and more like testing the customer’s patience. “Someone else” may be very happy. The customer certainly isn’t.

A rustic spot. Delicious fresh meals, farm products. A cozy and pleasant place to catch up with friends. No music, quiet. A nice shop attached with pure products from the land. Located in the countryside, you sit among the cows. For nature lovers.

A beautiful, peaceful, and warm place, any time of year. Enjoy a delicious meal and a drink in a very pleasant atmosphere.

I was always a huge fan. But after the Covid period, things have changed. Many more tables have been added inside the central area. This has made it extremely busy, packed together and very noisy. We will therefore save a visit if it is possible on the terrace again. The toasties were always fantastic. The best in the area. We regularly cycled around it. As often happened last summer and before. The bread has now been exchanged for a less tasty and less 'robust' slice of bread. The cheese wasn't special anymore either. The coffee was also disappointing. Whats happened? Shame!

A great afternoon tea and lunch place with abundant outdoor seating in the lush green nature and farm land. Plenty of sunshine in the garden next to apple trees, watching cows from distance, feeling stress from busy city life disappeared instantly. We had a simple cheese tosti but one of best ever had (plenty of melting cheese)! Home-made tomato chutney and refreshing cabbage pickles. Pear and almond tart taken ingredients from fresh pear trees nearby. Cherry crumble tastes delicious. A short drive from Amsterdam. Friendly staff. A new favorite unwinding spot for Sundays!

A lovely location just outside Abcoude, nestled among meadows and cows. I was there with an English family, and they also enjoyed the Dutch view. Delicious local farm produce, unpretentious dishes. Highly recommended! Will definitely return.

I stumbled upon this lovely little restaurant while cycling. The atmosphere was fantastic, the people were lovely, and the food was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh and local. I'll definitely be cycling this route again! :)

We ordered a drink, which took a very long time to arrive. But the atmosphere was great, with a view of cattle herds and the outdoors.

Favorite place for weekend breakfast, and we always buy freshly baked bread and locally produced milk and yoghurt to bring with us home 😊🙌

Lovely staff, beautiful place and good apple pie!! Just the cream (strange as your looking at the cows) with the apple pie is horrible quality/fake from a can. Banana bread is very disappointing which is strange because it's homemad and it's so easy and nice to find a good recipe... Hope the feedback is appreciated

Nice location, you can sit in a garden and watch animals in the field. But the food was underwhelming and very basic. Lack of flavor and poor preparation. Like the spinach Uitmijters had 3 leaves of spinach and one slice of tomatoe. No salt or pepper provided. Won’t come back.

Upon arrival there was hardly any parking space left, but we could just park the car in a corner. Once inside we had chosen a table where we wanted to sit, but it was still dirty from the previous customers. The service seemed to ignore us, so we had to ask ourselves if the table could be cleaned. The service afterwards was reasonably fast and the food of the children and me was reasonably good. However, my pregnant wife had not yet ordered and gave her order later. Her food did not arrive, so she was done with it. It is logical that you have to wait a while, but this took far too long. Then we decided to leave and when we paid, my wife's order appeared on the bill. Then we indicated that she had not received anything. They neatly removed this from the receipt, but no apology or anything. Instead, they thanked us for coming and we left. This was the third time we were here, but the last time.

We were there on an exceptionally warm Friday in early April, what a picturesque spot! We were not very relaxed there, because of the drama with parking and little shelter from the wind. Small children can enjoy a stroll there, there is even a sandbox and playhouse.

Very nice place, friendly staff and they think along very well. We enjoyed it here.

As for the food, the emphasis is on "healthy" and conscious. Great to eat here without any guilt. Location is great and fun for small children.

A real gem on the farm! The café not only offers good food, but also a fantastic view. The atmosphere is calm and idyllic. Perfect to enjoy a little break. The dishes were fresh and prepared with a lot of love. A place to feel good and definitely worth another visit!

Great place for a cup of coffee and cake or lunch. You can also sit outside. But...it often takes a very long time.

Very nice laid back countryside atmosphere. We come here with our dog as a stop on a long walk. The food is honest and we like the cheese platter and tasting platter. Super tasty cheesecake but cakes are changing. They also have nice high tea and tasty products in the shop to bring home.

Lovely place we are frequent customers of! Wholesome, tasty food which changes seasonally, always fresh cakes, good coffee. The prices have risen _a lot_ in the last 6 months though, and the waiters are very well mannered, although frequently quite lost. The views are very relaxing, sometimes a goat or sheep joins you for a coffee in there garden. When it's rainy, the inside full of old wooden tables and rustic decor is very cosy and inviting. You can take your mom there for a high tea, bring a date or meet with friends with kids (there are cute tractors, a slide and a wooden house outside). It would be great to have a kid friendly corner inside too, for those winter weekend mornings!

Really a very cozy atmosphere, the staff is friendly, courteous and quick. English and German were no problem for the staff. An exception was even made for us because we wanted a cheese platter to take away, which isn't actually made at that time. Gladly again, can only be recommended!

Anna Haen is a beautiful location with a lovely pleasant atmosphere. The food and drinks are delicious and of good quality. Everything is prepared with care, from the coffees and snacks to the private dinners. I may be biased because I worked there, but I started working there for a reason. I really enjoyed working there; highly recommended!

Was really let down. We were excited to sit outside in the sun and enjoy a nice lunch. We ordered a beer & a kombucha along with food (snack platter + chips + slice of banana bread). After 15 minutes of waiting we were told the beer was no longer available and to pick something else to drink. So we did that. We got our drinks. Then after another 10 minutes, we got the slice of banana bread - which was weird because we assumed that to be more of our dessert but we ate it first anyways. After 30 more minutes of waiting (!!) we were told the snack platter is only available after 16h and we'd have to order something else!!! WHY did they not tell us this information when we ordered?! It was a waste of our time and money having forced to buy our drinks and slice of banana bread when we were really wanting some food. We paid and left to find a lunch place that would serve us what we ordered and quickly. What a bad experience unfortunately.

We enjoyed a High Tea with family and friends at long tables outside. A super friendly waitress who brought all the delicious savory and then sweet snacks, tables attractively set and beautiful surroundings. The weather was lovely so that helped too. We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in a fun way👌😊

Okay, we only drank tea with something tasty during our cycling holiday. That treat was really tasty too. The tea was real tea and not a small cup. The service was friendly, hospitable and skilled. The atmosphere of the old orchard was wonderfully peaceful.

A place where hospitality really still has a meaning. What a very nice and friendly staff. It started with a drink on the house (at high tea). Then had a delicious high tea. The location is also fantastic (along the Gein). If you pass by here on a nice day, it is definitely worth stopping here for a good (oat) cappuccino or a cake, for example. There are cozy tables both inside and outside. Nice to know for the dog owner, these are also very welcome. We will definitely come back here again.

Super location, beautiful decoration, delicious food in the form of a shared dinner and a great team of people (Niels and Rosa were great, we were completely pampered). Went to your place this afternoon around 2 p.m. Nice location, friendly service, but the payment was a bit disappointing. We ordered 2 cappuccinos and 2 homemade soups for €9.95. It turned out to be pea soup. However, when paying, €25.90 was charged for 2 soups. When asked, the argument for this turned out to be the sausage in the soup (you can also order without it) and the rye bread with some thin slices of cheese that is served with it. I have often eaten pea soup out, but these kinds of things were always included. It was not stated in advance that it would become €3 more expensive per plate. The menu includes bread, butter and oil from Abma's (?), which is logically not served with pea soup. So either put it on the menu that prices may vary or just mention it when ordering. Not to mention the fact that I sometimes think: 'My goodness, who would think of charging €13 for a soup? What kind of margin is there on a whole pan?'. But yes, we have now become used to the fact that the catering industry in the Netherlands has become slightly more expensive after Corona. Anyway, besides the price, overall a positive experience due to location and atmosphere, friendly staff and good quality of the food.

Well, that was disappointing this time. We understand the staff shortage, but the sandwich was impossible to get rid of. The lettuce was salty!! A real disappointment. Not anymore for the time being.

Anna Haen: A beautiful cozy tent located in a beautiful location in Abcoude Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and above all delicious food You can reach this restaurant by car, but it can be easily combined with a bicycle tour along the water and surrounding areas Prices are accessible and it is especially nice and wonderful to sit outside (when the weather is nice) So if you want to go out by bike or car and you are near Abcoude, I would definitely make a stop at this tent.

Here after a brisk walk we rested and had something to eat and drink. It is an "organic recreation", but at least they also have a nice beer. we ordered a sandwich and it was prepared with country bread and tasted excellent; in fact, it was the best sandwich I've ever eaten! Great place to eat and drink something if you are already in the area.

The website/Google Maps stated that Anna Haen is open on King's Day, April 27. As well as the announcement boards on the roadsides along 't Gein, "open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.". We agreed to take a walk from here. Before and after the walk we wanted to sit here and eat and drink. Unfortunately closed. On Google Business you can specify opening hours well in advance.

Beautiful place in nature, but bad catering experience for years due to inexperienced service (not their fault) and they seem surprised every time guests come when the weather is nice. Lots of potential and nice mooring with the boat.

Had a lovely lunch today as a couple. Nice spot by the window. Enough parking space. Pleasant service. Tasty dishes: bun with haam cheese and toasted sandwich with fenugreek cheese. Great that there is gluten-free bread! Finally, coffee / tea; one with two slices of gluten-free banana bread and the other with a piece of delicious (changing) cake. Price - quality ratio is good! Definitely come back here.

Really shocking. Every customer must pay 1.50 energy surcharge. Regardless of whether you have 1 cup of tea or an extensive lunch. So for me 1 cup of tea at 2.75 plus 1.50 energy surcharge = 4.25! I won't be coming back here again. Scammers!
