Anne & Max is always nice and delicious!

The atmosphere is very nice, but the price-quality ratio of the lunch is disappointing. €20 for a club sandwich based on dry, standard bread is inexcusable. The club sandwich is the litmus test for any lunchroom, so the standard really needs to improve here.

I had an Acai bowl for breakfast. Unfortunately, it was less than expected, but certainly not unpleasant to eat in this nice little restaurant. There is a small courtyard at the back. The espresso, however, was really worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A spacious and beautiful location, even if you come with 14 people like we did. The service is efficient and pleasant. The indoor view of the perfumery next door is beautiful (because it is nicely lit and decorated). I left a tip at the cash register; the staff here earned it.

Located close to the center of Breda, there is a charming coffee ☕️ place. I liked the interior. The big windows at the back of the store make the place extra cosy when the sun is shining. The service was great. I had a cappucino, chai latte, and turmeric latte. All of them were great in taste. Combined with a piece of raspberry cheesecake and you have a great Sunday morning 😊

Lovely place with very good and friendly service. Fresh juice and perfect tea, but unfortunately, the lunch was very meager. I opted for the super club with white bread. The bread was very dry, with a marginal topping, a slice of chicken breast, very dry bacon, a slice of tomato, and a barely noticeable sauce. Subpar for this price.

I went to Anne&Max Breda and it was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and it's a great place to study or work on your laptop. Good Wi-Fi, spacious and comfortable tables, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The food and drinks are delicious, and there's plenty of choice. Even the restrooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It's a truly welcoming place. I'll definitely be back!

It was a quite Sunday morning. People are working out and step in for a quick take out coffee. The service is amazing with a great smile always to accommodate your request. It's quite and cozy. I enjoyed having some quality time with my friend. Enjoyed the Pistachios croissant and the coffee.

I have not been to the restaurant but I have ordered and it is definitely worth ordering very tasty sandwiches and nicely decorated in the box and it arrives whole so 10/10 definitely try it

Chocolate milk with cake on social deal voucher. Apple pie comes straight from the factory and...the refrigerator. Definitely not my favorite. Whipped cream on chocolate milk has a moderate consistency. Collapses like a plum pudding. The girl who helped me spoke English and was very friendly. Update. Went in again for lunch. Sometimes things go well, sometimes things go wrong... and today it went wrong. Ordered two lunch dishes, focaccia Chicken piri piri and a Yacht Club. Both soulless and tasteless. Management clearly didn't feel like it either. Didn't ask if everything was okay, otherwise we would certainly have indicated this. 40 euros lighter and left with a dissatisfied feeling. We won't do it again I'm afraid. -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------ Nice place, friendly welcome and luckily you can order via a QR code, otherwise you run the risk of sitting for a long time before being helped. The food is not spectacular, but fresh and of good quality. Breakfast is available all day long, which is very nice ;-). There is a corner for the kids to hang out and there is a nice lounge sofa to sit inside. Vegan and vegetarian dishes can be ordered. I'm afraid the turntable with LPs doesn't add much. Overall it is a bit pricey, but you sit on a great terrace with nice music (playlist) in the background. Service could be a little more alert to customers entering and taking a seat.

Nice and friendly staff upon arrival. The lunch shop looks neat and sleek. We were helped quickly and were even able to view the menu via a QR code. I ordered the focaccia with pulled chicken (see photo) with extra melted cheese. My wife the focaccia maximaliano. We both enjoyed the focaccia. However, we were still hungry afterwards. It's just not enough for a really good lunch even though you have to pay good money for it. All in all, a great lunch spot to enjoy a focaccia for a small appetite.

Dont sit near the front windows. For some reason there is another door which leads to a perfume shop. Staff keep continuously going through that door which bangs every time it closes. Terrible experience

Very nice case. There is a nice atmosphere, but our visit was a bit disappointing. We chose a table by the window to have a bit of a street view. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to take our order, but then we went to the bar to order ourselves. 2 ladies were standing there chatting to each other and there wasn't much crowds. We ordered a portion of nachos and a jug of mimosa. The nachos is a small portion and also very little cheese. The cheese was very tasty, but just not enough. The dips were very tasty. Would you like to add some extra processed cheese? I spilled quite a bit of Mimosa when pouring it. When the nachos were delivered, this was not noticed and the bowl was simply placed on the wet surface. Too bad about these little slippers. Maybe it was a bad day?

Gezellig met mijn dochter een dagje Breda, waar ze ook een poos gewoond heeft. Het zag er gezellig uit en het was koud. Dus warme chocomelk, die was lauw. Vers appelgebak, welke ijskoud was en uit de vriezer kwam? Daarbij leek het van de sligro, smakeloos. De slagroom was uit een spuitbus, die gelijk in elkaar zakte. Jammer want we verwachten eerlijk, puur en vers.

Nice hip place where you can sit quietly. Spacious, and because it is a deep building, there is not much noise transmission. Food is average, not very special (from what we had). The service was fine, nice staff, although it could take a bit long before you could order something. Parking is also quite easy despite the fact that it is close to the center. Parking is paid

We came especially for a nice coffee and cake. Too bad for people with a gluten allergy that there is only oat milk so I can't order tasty coffees/lattes. Also a shame that there were no gluten-free cakes 😞

**Anne & maximum disappointed** Mediocre coffee When filter coffee is on the menu, I don't expect to get a French press. I don't like grit in my coffee. Furthermore, if you are asked to let the coffee sit for one minute before pouring, place an hourglass or something similar next to it. Nice idea, mediocre execution. Anyway, we order the sweet platter and damn it, what a disappointment. Two dates with chocolate from Hanos, four chocolate coffee cookies from Hanos. The pastry and scones were fine, but really nothing that made me think, "Well, yes." The staff was okay, nothing to complain about. I think the dog biscuits were the most popular with the dogs. Knowing that Chadwick is 200 meters away, where they have excellent handmade pastries and serve really good coffee, it is definitely worth the walk.

Very nice atmosphere, and sweet people. However the food is very disappointing. The salmon was way too salted, the bread was old. Also the 15 euro Focaccia pulled chicken was very very poor. Just some pieces of meat with a veeery tiny layer of sauce. The smoothie was…. Actually nasty. Used very old fruits. I was looking so much forward eating here on my birthday, but ended up spending 34 euro for a coffee, two poor and not tasty foods and a ‘fresh smoothie’ which we didnt enjoy at all. So so so sad. I would come again tho, but only for a coffee and to enjoy the beautiful place. But wont order food at all.

Anne & Max is no longer what it used to be. We came for a lunch. Immediately ordered fresh juice upon arrival. We saw something like a lunch board and asked what was included. “Bread, with croissant, cheese, ham and ..” after which we immediately said; oh that sounds good, go for it! We were allowed to order a juice with that; “eh, we already did that 1 minute ago.” To which she replied: “oh then I'll see what can be arranged” (I haven't heard anything since) Unfortunately, there were no croissants available. Waitress said when we told her; “oh, yes, that's right, that's not included here. But you can still order it separately!” 😂😂 Dry bread, slice of cheese & ham and some humus. Soup was a bit boring, .. and that for a lunch board € 38 (19 euros per person). We thought we'd eat it quickly and get out. Then pay; we had to pay €40. Just €2 extra for the fresh gravy because it was larger than standard 😵‍💫. Whether everything was satisfactory; said everything above and that we found it expensive. Man from the service said; “eh yes, I think it's pricey too” 😂 Next time we'll go somewhere else.

We bestelde een Anne speciaal, soep koud, kaas stengel zonder kaas smaak en heel klein, salade bestond uit rucola en wat tomaatjes zeer karig opgemaakt. Nee ben hier vaker geweest maar heb nog nooit zo matige lunch op. Voorlopige maar even niet meer.

A nice spacious place, service was distant. Focaccia Maximilano had minimal toppings. 2 thin slices of mozzarella and even thinner tomato. The ham was hard to find. . Whether it was enjoyable, no. It would be passed on to the kitchen without batting an eyelid. Unfortunately not recommended.

Management is lousy. We were not welcomed properly and saying goodbye at the end was also too much effort. Other than that it was mostly waiting, waiting and waiting. The food (smoked salmon bread) was scanty, dry and not tasty. With a stroller it is also annoying because of all the height differences. I'm not coming back.

What a wonderful place this is...the location is also great, on the Wilhelminastraat in Breda everything is a little more chic...and there is a good crowd. Often fun spontaneous encounters...And in the summer I enjoy the beautiful garden at the back.

23 euros per person for a tiny high tea. A foccacia with 30 grams of "pulled beef" that looked more like chicken, 11 euros. No decent soft drinks or beer to order. I'll never go here again.

So far I have been mostly satisfied with the food. In terms of service, the wait is often longer, but it is nice and there is a play area for children. Now had a very bad experience. We've seen nice snacks on the menu before, so we came especially for that (nice migration with a baby and toddler). We were first told that we could not order anything from the menu from 3 p.m. (at 4 p.m.) because the kitchen was closed. I asked if that was also for bread with spreads, yes because the menu was for another Anne and Max and here the kitchen always closes earlier so it was never possible. Strange that it has been on the menu for at least a year, maybe even years. Then put a sticker on it stating that it did not arrive at this location. We ordered pastries (including pink cake), but then they came to tell us that they had run out. In the meantime, the waitress dropped the tray with mimosa from her hands, shouted 'oh dear' about your coats and left immediately. It wasn't just all over our coats, but the worst part was that our 2-year-old daughter also got the mimosa in her face and was of course shocked, in addition, it was in our Maxi Cosi and the baby's play mat was soaked through. We decided to go home, because we could no longer put our son down, all our things were stuck, our daughter was shocked and we came for the drinks menu that apparently does not exist, but which will make you feel good. We indicated this and then packed our things again. When we walked out, there were no staff at the cash register, they deliberately did not make eye contact, even when we said hello. In the end, I spent more than half an hour in the car up and down, the preparations at home and Anne and Max also had to wait a while, all for nothing, in fact having to do the washing at home straight away and then again because they didn't get stains from the gravy yet. were out everywhere. Dropping something can happen, but then laughing and not looking at us when leaving is very unprofessional. And we also thought the map was very strange. We won't be back again. Today we had a second chance at Spruit, highly recommended with children!

Altijd fijn om hier heerlijk voor mezelf te werken. Ze kennen ondertussen precies wat ik graag drink en eet. Het voelt niet als een probleem dat ik in m’n eentje ben (met vaak wel (zaken)relaties aan tafel). Fijne lichte zaak, een bron van inspiratie! De koffie is de beste van de koffiezaken die ik ken in Breda. Het eten is altijd vers en goed van smaak.

Poor sandwich experience, pure scam A ham and cheese sandwich costing no less than 11 euros should be a culinary tour de force. Unfortunately, I can only conclude that this was a real disappointment. Two slices of Turkish bread, topped with some ham and cheese (that's it!) was served without any creativity. The taste was okay, but the lack of mayonnaise, standard with a sandwich, was already a first letdown. Just a bowl of ketchup. What justifies the price remains a mystery, given the lack of extras. Not a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato or anything to garnish - For 11 euros you expect at least a little more than this. It is downright scandalous to charge so much money for a simple sandwich. This feels like nothing more than an ordinary money grab, warning for future customers: don't be seduced by the price tag of this overrated sandwich.

We have to wait 20 minutes for drinks. The high tea was also very simple and the employees only came by our table once. The tomato soup and the sandwiches with mozzarella and pesto were very tasty. It was a lot of money for little

The interior is very design and cozy with great music. Coffee is okay, standard and lot of choices with pastries. Except at the barista section, the staff don't seem very happy to work. I would say for the price you pay to eat and drink, a little smile is very welcome :) :) :)

Top service! Zeer lekker ontbijt en zeer gezellig. Speciaal van België naar Breda om daar te ontbijten en dit was het helemaal waard.

Wat een heerlijke plek voor een rendez-vous met een oude vriend. Lekker ruime zitplek en toch intiem. Mooie inrichting, grappig hoe de verbinding met de parfumerie ernaast is gemaakt. Stijlvol. De service was uitsgekend en de kwaliteit van eten en drinken heel goed. Genoten dus en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Samen met mijn vijf kleinkinderen in de leeftijd van 8 t/m 16 jaar gereserveerd voor een high tea. Melding van aanwezigheid kinderen van te voren ook gedaan. Prachtig restaurant maar high tea teleurstellend. Niks geen leuke kleine sandwiches en andere kleine zoete hapjes of een klein glaasje met toetje of zo. Nee dunne halve boterhammen met wat smeerseltjes erbij, paar plakjes kaas en rauwe ham en verder een stuk of zes zeven grote gebakjes en voor ieder een vrij grote scone. Niet dat het niet lekker was maar totaal niet leuk. Zelf de gebakjes maar in stukjes gesneden. Daarbij heel kleine theekopjes, je blijft bezig met thee schenken. Voor een prijs van € 24,50 per persoon vind ik Anne Max dat jullie je er wat high tea betreft erg gemakkelijk vanaf maken. Nogmaals niet leuk en erg jammer.

Een erg moderne leuk ingerichte zaak in het Ginneken. Het eten heeft ons zeer goed gesmaakt. Een hele andere (veel positievere) beleving dan bijv Anne & Max in Amsterdam.

Onvriendelijk personeel. vieze tafel waarvoor we twee keer hebben moeten vragen om deze schoon te maken. Een geïrriteerde blik was het gevolg. De lunch was zielloos net als het personeel. Karig en eigenlijk smakeloos. Het personeel keek je niet aan en gaf de indruk je alleen maar vervelend te vinden.

Anne&Max is altijd een heerlijke plek om te gaan ontbijten, lunchen of om te werken of studeren. De sfeer is comfortabel en rustig. Ik raad de scones aan en de huisgemaakte ijsthee. Ook de salades zijn top. Vegetarische opties alom. Honden zijn toegestaan.

Coffee here is great and the chai latte is exquisite. The breakfast menu is quite small. The açai bowl was good, but scrambled eggs were definitely not worth it (overcooked).

Kleine tafeltjes. Dicht bjj elkaar. Gasten naast je luisteren mee en andersom. Gerechten zijn appart vind ik. Gewoon bier is er niet. Boterham met groen was erg smaakloos. Aardig personeel. Parkeren is lastig. Prijs is ok. En de koffie is er goed.

Ik ga er één of twee keer per maand naartoe. In de vroege morgen. Lekker beginnen met goede koffie en een ontbijtje. Intussen werk ik nog even mijn werkmail bij. Daarbij komt dat het personeel ook aardig is. Mooi en ontspannen manier om de werkweek af te sluiten en het weekend te beginnen.

Leuke originele opties als gerechten die ook goed smaken! Bediening had het erg druk en daardoor moest je wat langer wachten

Mooie zaak, personeel ok. Menukaart beperkt in keuze. Club sandwich een mager zesje, niet echt bijzonder!

Zondagmiddag om 15.00. Zin in deze high tea voor twee. Een lief verjaardagscadeau. Staand bij het voor ons gereserveerde plekje, met onze jassen nog aan en tas nog vast, volgt een vorm van uitleg rondom de high tea. Daarna volgt een moment van landen na onze wandeling en blijkt de stoel tegenover het bankje niet fijn te zitten, het lijkt ook niet fijn weg. Samen naast elkaar op de bank. Palmen kriebelen even in de nek. Fijn kijken we de rustige tuin in waar de vogeltjes zich lente klaar maken. Even vragen of we een thee tipje kunnen krijgen. De thee zelf doet goed. Als snel komt de high tea. Met korte uitleg over wat er op de...grote schaal? Het blad?...ligt. We merken dat we het klassieke high tea gevoel maar niet krijgen op deze plek. Zelf onze sandwiches samenstellen met enkele ingrediënten voelt helaas niet hetzelfde als de prachtige kleine sandwiches met mooie laagjes die toch onze voorkeur hebben. Zelf ook maar even om boter vragen. Ondertussen koelt de thee in de pot snel af, jammer. Het linzensoepje is lekker. Het meeste op het blad smaakt prima. Maar er is gewoon een gemis. Liever bijvoorbeeld wat meer diversiteit in kleine snoeperij (de bovenste high tea laag) ipv grote punten taart/ cake. De scone valt in de middenmoot van wat eerder geproefd is. Vanaf 16.30 voelen we ons steeds meer weggekeken. Tegen 17.00 wordt ons verzocht om af te rekenen. Zonder een vorm van, heeft u een fijne high tea gehad? De zaak blijkt om 17.00 al te sluiten. Krappe ruimte voor een rustig genietmoment. Al met al hebben vriendin en ik fijn gepraat, zo achterin bij Anne en Max. Maar raden we deze high tea voor high tea liefhebbers niet aan.

Heel mooie, ruime en stijlvolle plek voor koffie of lunch. Er zaten ook mensen te werken. De inrichting is sfeervol, industrieel met veel glas. Ook een ruime binnentuin. De cappuccino en de scones met lemoncurd en clotted cream waren heerlijk. Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening.

Anders, zeker lekker. Een adresje om nog eens langs te gaan

Bij het binnenkomen komt de parfumwalm je tegemoet van de winkel ernaast met opening in deze zaak. Heerlijk maar niet als ik ergens ga eten. De sandwiches en cappuccino waren goed. Toen werd er een smoothie besteld met oa mango en gember er in. Bij het opdrinken bleek dat er allemaal harde stukjes draad in te zitten die je niet kapot kreeg. Het leken draadjes van een afwasborstel van ongeveer 2cm. Toen er een serveerster werd geroepen zei ze dat dit niet de bedoeling was en ze ging een andere halen. Ze kwam terug, zonder smoothie. Het was waarschijnlijk van de gember😵‍💫 Je kan me veel wijsmaken maar dat niet. Gember is niet zo hard als nylondraad. Als je niet uit een bepaalde betere wijk komt wordt je erg bekeken.

Heerlijk geurende jasmijn thee en een verrassende kruidige chocolademelk. Begint met zoet van de chocolade en eindigt met een pitje van gember..? Zo lekker, manlief wilde er nog een. En wat een leuke plek om te zitten.
