Asian Delights in Wijk 02 Heemstede west van de spoorbaan

We used to often get something to take with us here when we came from Zandvoort. I happened to pass by again just now. Everything is the same as before in terms of people and interior (except for Ping), but I feel the food was really a lot worse. The duck was mediocre (no crispy skin/dry/ready within 5 minutes), the sauce had a weird taste, and the noodles were literally just noodle strands + 3 pieces of leek. Given the prices in Heemstede (read: very expensive), unfortunately, it is not recommended.

The food was delicious. I ordered takeout and unfortunately realized when I got home that they had forgotten the Nasi. Too far to drive back, unfortunately.

Just ate 1 portion of beef tenderloin tips (Gak Chiu Ngau) for 25.80 euros (takeaway). The meat was tough beef cut into large chunks, and the sauce was very unappetizing due to the amount of added pepper. There were hardly any vegetables to be found in the Nasi rice. The portion of Tjap Tjoy chicken tasted reasonably good, but unfortunately, very little chicken was added. In the past, the restaurant offered good value for money. This was nowhere to be found in the current order. Far too expensive! We will no longer recommend this restaurant.

Crazy expensive for mostly fried food... Wantan soup tastes like water, duck is flavorless, and the pork is always dry. Dissapointing.

It's a shame, one of the few Chinese restaurants that delivers in Hoofddorp, but the babi pangang bacon was bone dry and rock hard. As if it was from the day before and reheated. Never again.

The babi ketjap was terrible. It was one big bowl of grease with soy sauce nowhere to be found (for 24.50 euros!). I spent half the night throwing up in the toilet. When we went to discuss this, we were spoken to very rudely by a total of five staff members. A scandalous way of doing business. This is the last time we have been here; I would advise everyone against it!

Combined dish, with rice. There was only 1 piece of vegetable in the rice!!!! What a disgrace, tasty rice is a must for a Chinese meal. Dry food, could be much better.

The crispy belly pork was delicious: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. What surprised me most was the rice. It was very soft and of good quality. I normally don't eat the rice that comes with orders because it's often hard, but this rice was truly delicious. The food was so good that I didn't even touch the rice I'd cooked myself. I will definitely order from here again.

You can get the same thing for about €10 to €15 cheaper at other Chinese restaurants. The portions also leave a lot to be desired; you get more for less at other restaurants. If it had been a lot tastier, it would have made up for a lot, but it's one of the worst in Haarlem, Heemstede, and the surrounding area. The babi pangang was bone dry. To end the year on a positive note, the best part is that they're open on Mondays!

We'd enjoyed good food for years, but this time the babi ketjap was a huge disappointment: greasy, lacking in ketjap flavor, and simply inedible. It also didn't live up to expectations for a dish called "babi ketjap." The restaurant's response was disappointing, and the discount code doesn't feel like a suitable solution. It's a real shame about this experience.

Really lovely restaurant, tasty food, and an enormous menu. They have a separate menu to show the allergens in each dish, which incredibly helpful to me as a person who does not eat certain foods. But the best of all was our server, Rijk, who took great pains to make sure that we were well taken care of. Such a nice guy!

Ordered and received sambal beef. I don't know what's wrong, but the meat was covered in a lot of fat, which I found horribly disgusting. Food was thrown away.

Expensive, unfriendly staff and mediocre food

I've been ordering from this restaurant for years (on average twice a month). The food quality is excellent, the prices are still very reasonable, and the food always arrives on time. I've also eaten in the restaurant a few times. The service is good, attentive, and friendly. This Chinese restaurant is, in my opinion, a top pick.

Actually like many Chinese restaurants in the Netherlands. They have a big menu, but I find the food below average.

Just ordered 2 spring rolls, fried rice and prawn crackers for €35. I feel really ripped off. Last time I waited 2 hours for an order. They think they are in Heemstede and can afford anything in terms of prices and very poor service.

We ordered delivery and the food wasn’t bad, but the noodles were bland and greasy. The good thing is that the portions are large, so it goes a long way. The service was fast and everything was in order.

Crispy babi pangang with loose sauce and bami picked up. It was ready in a warming bag, when I was 5 minutes late. I was quite scared because of the bad reviews that were there. But it was delicious again! The restaurant was not as full as before. But the food was great!

Enjoyed eating for years, but the price-quality ratio is seriously out of balance. It is no longer affordable food. No problem if the food quality remains the same, but while prices keep rising, the quality dropped to questionable levels. I also have the feeling that they are no longer waiting for guests in the restaurant. Unfortunately the old friendly Chinese waiter has retired. Now sometimes a young Dutch boy walks by, who is otherwise very friendly and mannered. The restaurant is a bit of a faded glory and half of the restaurant is a parking area for bicycles and mopeds and a waiting area for the couriers, who are sometimes loudly present there. I understand that half of the restaurant has been given a different purpose, because there are never more than 3 or max 4 tables occupied. Usually we are the only ones. Reservations are therefore not necessary.

We bestellen al járen bij Asian Delight in Heemstede, juist omdat we de familie kennen en graag loyaal wilden zijn. Maar na vanavond is dat definitief voorbij. We bestelden ruim op tijd – rond 16:30 – met het verzoek om de bestelling om 18:15 te bezorgen, omdat we rekening moesten houden met een klein kind. Om 18:30 was er nog steeds geen eten. Ik belde even om te vragen hoe laat we het konden verwachten, maar kreeg de zoon van de eigenaar aan de lijn die me op een bijzonder onbeschofte manier te woord stond. Zijn enige reactie: “Het is altijd druk op zondag,” gevolgd door het beëindigen van het gesprek op een bijzonder neerbuigende toon. Toen ik opnieuw belde, kreeg ik een van de eigenaren aan de lijn. Ook hij had “geen tijd” en hing direct weer op. Uiteindelijk werd het eten pas later bezorgd – en tot overmaat van ramp was het ook nog eens matig van kwaliteit. Toen ik belde om dit aan te geven, werd ik niet serieus genomen. In plaats daarvan hoorde ik op de achtergrond de zoon boos roepen dat hij “de order wel annuleert en het geld terugstort” en dat we “nooit meer mogen bestellen”. Nou, daar heeft hij helemaal gelijk in. Na deze ervaring zullen we dat ook zeker niet meer doen. Loyaliteit werkt blijkbaar maar één kant op. Erg jammer, vooral na al die jaren.

We’ve been loyal customers of Asian Delight in Heemstede for many years, ordering regularly — not because the food is amazing, but out of solidarity, as we know the family personally. Today was the last straw. We placed our order well in advance (around 4:30 PM) and requested delivery at 6:15 PM, specifically because we have a young child. By 6:30 PM, there was still no delivery. I called to check, only to be spoken to rudely by the owner’s son, who dismissively told me, “It’s always busy on Sundays,” and then hung up on me. I called again and spoke to one of the owners, who also seemed too busy to care and hung up as well. When the food finally arrived, it wasn’t even good. I called once more to express my frustration, and the son refused to speak to me. In the background, I could hear him yelling that he would cancel the order, refund us, and that we’re no longer welcome to order from them. He’s absolutely right — after this experience, we’ll never order again.

We got take away food and it was really disappointing. Tasteless, bland tjaptjoy. Peking Duck was dry and very tough. Everything tasted the same. This Chinese used to be really good. I won't go there anymore.

We have been ordering from them for a long time and are very satisfied. Delicious food. Super tasty. Always have food for two sometimes three days. Always order more because we like it so much. And our regular delivery person always takes the time to have a chat. What more could you want 👍🏽

Recently I was on a business trip in Netherland and the people from Hikvision Netherland took me to this restaurant. I am originally from Hong Kong and can say that this is not authentic Chinese. On the other hand I really liked their Babi Pangang. It is similar to our Siu Yuk but with some sweet sauce. I was surprised how tasty it was!

The food here is really, really good. The rest a little less. Please be careful when going home, the delivery people from this business are also on their way. Their behavior in traffic is downright ridiculous. On the other hand, if you are in the restaurant you will not be hit by the delivery people.

Was tasty and delivered quickly

Not to eat, very expensive and lukewarm...large chunks of chicken as satay and fatty meat in the pan course with dark brown rice.! Never again...damn

Just ordered 3 spring rolls, delivered quickly but very greasy for the third time. When I opened the package, a wave of grease went over my clothes. So greasy, all three were swimming in the grease in the plastic container, contents of grease with grease-soaked bean sprouts and no egg and a single piece of chicken. This was the last time we ordered or picked up something here,

Ordered again yesterday, normally it's good but this was really great. By far the best Chinese restaurant in the region. Babi panggang special this time was nice and tender on the inside but also crispy on the outside. Just the way we like it. The spring rolls are also highly recommended!

Became expensive and stingy. 3 pieces of leek and 2 pieces of egg in the vegetarian nasi, for which they also charge 1.70 extra.

Normally I don't do reviews, this needed one. Since there is hardly a chinese left in Zandvoort I ordered take away. Easy online and on time. The tomato soup was small and not tasty. Like it was diluted with water. The large chicken spring roll (loempia) was ok with lots of chicken and fresh sprouts. The smaller Chinese spring rolls were nothing special. Not overly filled and not much taste. Looking at the prices I did not expect much from the cheap Bami goreng. This was absolutely minimalistic. It was wise to cut the two slices of ham into it since that, with the egg, was about the only ingredient. I found some green slithers here and there. A not very tasty stomach filler. Once and never again.

Quality starter (dimsungs) worthless: without taste and has nothing to do with traditional Chinese cuisine. The rest looked like reheated "canned Chinese". We'll never go there again!

We had dinner there on Friday with 6 people, we went for the offer but unfortunately there were only 2 menus to choose from. So we ordered from the menu, unfortunately the service was rubbish, he took the plates away while we were still eating. And to make matters worse, three people became very ill during the night, diarrhea and vomiting, you would almost think food poisoning, so you understand, we will never return there.

The three of us were very ill after our visit and the meal with you. Service was really different from previous times. Then there was a very friendly lady and the food was very good. Now in short, clearing away when not everyone was ready yet and just a rude approach. And now the same evening 🤮 ……… So I won't be coming back here again!

Good food especially the si tap kai

Food is ok but still too 'Dutch'. Too little taste, too much tailored to the Dutchman who does not want his taste buds to be surprised too much. In addition, it is quite expensive, 38 euros for 2 standard meals. There is a menu with 3 meals for a reasonable price, again not exactly, but the choice was too limited for us. Shame.

Delivery was good, I thought the food was too expensive after all, 27 euros bami bangang with bami with delivery... so I canceled...

Yesterday I ordered food for 6:30 PM, at 7:00 PM I called, the woman on the phone said it could arrive at any time, well at 7:30 PM it wasn't there yet! Yesterday storm Henk came and I suspect that was the reason for the order not being delivered, we are very angry, normally if I ordered 10 minutes late, but I don't think that is a problem, but this? Unacceptable! I also no longer accept apologies because you knew and were not honest about the fact that you probably did not want to deliver because of the storm! We just ordered fries, which were delivered within fifteen minutes.

Heerlijk gegeten en heel vriendelijk bediend. Een fijne avond uit eten doe je bij Asian Delight!

Eerlijk is eerlijk! Was ik 3 maanden geleden echt teleurgesteld in de kwaliteit van het eten, nu lijkt de vooruitgang ingezet! De loempia kip is heerlijk en de kipsaté goed gevuld en lekker! Fijn.

Edit: Uiteindelijk toch maar weer eens besteld na een tijdje, en het lijkt alsof ze iets met de kritiek hebben gedaan. Wij zijn weer tevreden. We waren altijd zeer tevreden, maar gisteren was het veel minder dan anders, qua hoeveelheid maar ook qua smaak. Babi pangang spek was niet krokant en weinig, koe lo kai 8 kleine balletjes, bami speciaal was lichter van kleur dan anders en smakeloos. Wij gaan volgende keer een ander proberen! Wel vier punten voor service, want ze bezorgen altijd supersnel.

Jaren geleden dat wij b in n en Chinees restaurant gegeten hebben. Eten was lekker en zag er goed verzorgd uit ipv de plastic afhaal chineesbakken. Maar vind het aan de prijs. Voortaan weer afhalen!

Is dat op de pangsit blijven plakken en zit dat nu in mijn maag??? 😳 Dat moet anders! Dit is schadelijk voor de gezondheid!

Voor ons het beste restaurant voor Chinees eten.

Vast adres om af te halen. Altijd prima! Laatst ook daar gegeten en onder de indruk hoe de ober het hele restaurant in zijn eentje draait. Met veel humor!

Ik kreeg de tip om hier eend met pannekoekjes te ete, en dit bleek een gouden tip!! Geen idee hoe het echt heet, maar echt elke hap was een feestje, wat een smaaksensatie!! Grote porties ook. En dan heb ik het nog niets eens gehad over het vriendelijke personeel. Kortom, een echt aanrader!

Blijft de allerbeste!Ik kan mij totaal niet vinden in de laatste (slechte) reviews.Heb eerder bij drie andere Chinese restaurants besteld en had er meteen spijt van.Dit restaurant maakt naar mijn inzien het beste en lekkerste eten.😊

Het eten, Samsing keuze, was wederom verrukkelijk.

Prijzen zijn enorm gestegen en ook voor de rijst moet apart worden afgerekend. Er zaten kleine steentjes in mijn gerecht en toen ik dit meldde, was de reactie: kan gebeuren! Geen enkele coulance, geste of excuus. Alleen een gepeperde rekening voor het volle pond met bijv prijs voor een loempia van 7,80! Dit was onze laatste keer.

Nee, het is niet vies of slecht. Maar lekker of goed is het ook niet te noemen. Porties zijn ruim, maar zeer weinig groente. Kip is echt plof XL.

Voor het eerst besteld maar zeker niet voor het laatst. Was heerlijk eten en als nog echt goed heet toen het kwam. Aanrader !!!

Voor de 2e en tevens laatste keer teleurgesteld! Eerste keer voor 7 personen eten afgehaald en was bij aankomst thuis al koud en (wederom) bij het openen niet wat er besteld was. Agelopen week voor zn tweetjes besteld en de babi pangang was gortdroog, smakeloos en en de saus (apart besteld) zat er niet bij. Over de nasi goreng valt niets positief te melden. Zo jammer!!
