Super neat, spacious establishment. No tables packed together. Warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Very good flavors and delicious fresh food. The sushi is definitely of very high quality.

Basic but cozy restaurant, many items for which you have to pay extra, and those prices were sometimes quite steep. In terms of price-quality, I found them quite on the expensive side. Some orders arrived very quickly and others took quite a while, so at one point you didn't know anymore whether you had ordered it or not. And the dessert had very few choices and looked a bit mushy.

We have been coming to Merlina for years and it remains top-notch. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Keep up the good work!

The food itself was fine, but unfortunately, the mouse running around gave us a different experience. We were directed to another table, but by then, unfortunately, our hunger had already vanished.

We got takeout. The sushi was tasty and arranged quickly.

The environment was nice, and the service was good. The food was a bit on the sweet side, but overall it was delicious. The only thing which I wasn't very satisfied with was the excessive amount of rice; I didn't expect both the Mango Aloe Vera Gunkan and the Mini Poké Bowl also have such a large clump of rice.

Arranged a banquet for 32 people. Staff very helpful in suggesting which food. Much flowed and everyone was extremely pleased with the quality and quantity.

Have eaten there several times using Socialdeal. Enjoyed it every time. Portions are sufficient and brought quickly after ordering. There is also plenty of choice with Socialdeal.

The sushi was fine, limited choice for gluten-free but the taste was good. Eating gluten-free is difficult, but if you leave out sauces, add some herbs to give the food some flavor. That didn't happen, so everything was bland and tasteless. A shame, but not worth repeating.

Hard-working staff! They are trying their absolute best! Air conditioning broken. Not fun on a hot day. But you are sitting at a table with ventilation above your head. The staff are still running their legs off despite that. Respect for that. Meat dishes can be a bit moderately dry. 🍣 It's fine! Didn't have to wait too long. It went quickly enough. We were with several people and were given three separate tables next to each other. Orders don't seem to be handled per table; we were often asked where things needed to go. It would be nicer if this could be served per table. But perhaps it is too much for the staff to manage. Compromise, but fine food!

You can eat well here. The menu is very extensive. You have to look for the entrance, because it is a multi-tenant building. The staff is really super friendly.

Nice staff, however, we both got stomach upset after the meal. The meat was sometimes not fully cooked through, though the flavors were very good. A shame, not worth repeating. Update: my complaint about the food was supposedly investigated, and my experience of getting sick and not being able to keep anything down, which started in the middle of the night, was not taken seriously. Other guests hadn't reported anything either; I have never been this sick!! It came out of every direction; the chicken looked like it came out of the microwave, one part piping hot, the other colder, and the tenderloin was not cooked properly, still red inside. Money wasted.

I came here for the 4-course rijsttafel (rice table) through a social deal. I started with delicious soto soup/tomato soup. Homemade spring rolls and pansit were served as a starter. Then came the rijsttafel (rice table) with many different dishes, each with its own unique flavor. The bami (noodles) and nasi (fried rice) were also delicious. Plenty to eat. I've enjoyed the all-you-can-eat option several times now, and this is also excellent.

The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is great. But the food wasn't good. Some dishes were lukewarm. The salmon was raw. We tried several chicken dishes. Sometimes the chicken was too raw and sometimes it was cooked far too long. Several dishes we ordered weren't delivered. All in all, it was quite disappointing.

I'm truly disappointed with my experience at Asion Fusion Merlina. We came through Social Deal, but once we got there, it turned out that almost nothing from the regular menu was available. Instead, you get a separate, very limited menu, while paying almost full price, and it's presented as all-you-can-eat. Furthermore, the service was incredibly slow. I literally had to wait 45 minutes for the sushi I ordered. As a result, I was only able to order three rounds in total, which is really unacceptable for an all-you-can-eat concept. We ended up leaving because they were just not moving forward. The sushi itself was also very disappointing and inedible. I regularly eat sushi here and there. I'm not one to write negative reviews often, but this was so bad that I wanted to share it. Honestly, I don't understand the positive reviews here at all, because my experience was the complete opposite. We definitely won't be back.

We ate here yesterday thanks to a special offer on Social Deal. It's always a surprise what kind of restaurant you arrive at. We were pleasantly surprised! Beautiful and clean restaurant. Warm welcome. You order with a tablet, and our daughter, who has a milk intolerance, had her own tablet to order with. What was really nice: the option to order a coloring page or connect-four via the tablet. Perfect. The dishes arrived quickly, and the flavors were amazing. Good sushi, but the "daging smoor" (dairy smother) was also very tasty! And when we paid, we received a small bag of candy for the kids—so thoughtful. Compliments! We'll definitely be back!

Delicious food, personally I would definitely go for the sushi. I also had the chicken satay ajam myself, which is highly recommended, although it was served a bit lukewarm. Otherwise, the food tasted great. One point for improvement: it takes a while for the food to arrive, so a tip: order as soon as your food is on the table or right after 10 minutes. I've been here many times and the food is always delicious. The atmosphere is good, the staff is always friendly, and the owner always comes over for a chat. Service is very easy via the tablet and also fast, despite it often being busy on weekends. I'll continue to come here regularly.

Not worth it, tough meat, bad sushi and very pricey for what you get

I wouldn't bother leaving a negative review. But this is truly the worst all-you-can-eat restaurant I've ever eaten at. The meat is bone dry, the sushi looks absolutely disgusting (I've never experienced this before), and the first round wasn't even served for 30 minutes. I've honestly never experienced anything like this before. Every dish (which is also served after 20 minutes or more) is disappointing in both appearance and taste. Oh yeah, and if you want to order a simple dish like cheese sticks or shrimp, you pay extra for something so simple. Finally, we had a scoop of ice cream, and then another dish was served, 35 minutes late.

Quality of food is very poor. Sushi all taste the same because of a big amount of rice which is also very sweet. Meat dishes were too oily. Also wine is very cheap with strong alcohol smell. Service was good, however it doesn't compensate low quality of food.

No offense to the staff. They were friendly, helpful, and always ready with a joke. The food was okay. But the ordering system is terrible. Someone is constantly watching a screen to make sure everyone gets their next round on time. We should have taken notes on who ordered what, because the rounds were all mixed up. We didn't even get to chat because the ordering system demanded our attention. My older father quickly got fed up with it. Never again like this.

I ate here for the second time today, this time booking through Social Deal because I saw there was still room for August 1st (today). Whether I was fat and ticked the box under the first one, or something went wrong with Social Deal (which I honestly think), the manager let us in without any problem. I'm definitely going to let Social Deal know about this because the two of us saw that August 1st was a green box, which the manager said shouldn't be possible.

We were there with a discount promotion and quickly came to the conclusion that the result was a limited range. That is not illogical but really neat....mwah. Then introduce it as an introductory dinner so that you can taste a selection and form an opinion about the food offered. That aside, the sushi is downright delicious and tasted good and because of my reference to the real traditional Indonesian cuisine the names of the dishes are well chosen but the flavors do not come close to reality. In general it tastes good and the quality is good. But for example the ayam ketjap tastes fine but there is no ketjap in it. Incidentally that was a shame because I really appreciate the Indonesian cuisine. Maybe share the recipe for traditional sate ayam 😉 But in short, definitely worth it for price/quality and taste but temper your expectations for the Indonesian cuisine. The sushi is simply delicious and definitely worth it.

Great all you can eat, fair price for a somewhat limited menu but still enough choice. 2.5 hours is enough time because you don't have to walk and dessert is still allowed after 2.5 hours. Drinks are on top of the price.

Food was delicious. We had 4 courses via social deal. Location was also good. Had to search for the entrance but once inside it was beautiful. The host was very friendly and committed. Got a delicious special sambal with it. Really a great place. Compliments to the host and the chef. 👍 we will definitely come back again.

Menu choice and quality of food has deteriorated in recent years in my opinion. We had a nice evening but it no longer meets my expectations.

The service was basically ok. They were nice. The atmosphere on the terrace/conservatory was also nice. However, the food was terrible. It was waaaaay too sweet. There shouldn't be that much sugar in the dishes (except for dessert). No wonder there's a dentist next door. The staff did indicate that not many people have this complaint, so who knows, it might be me.

We sat here to eat, it makes sense that you have to pay for a child but it is SCANDALOUS for a child who is just 1 and has not ordered anything. Here they ask for almost €7.00

We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening with four friends after a Social Deal. The restaurant was located in a rather special location and despite the fact that a visible effort had been made to decorate the interior, the large open space and the light swimming pool smell in the building could not prevent you from getting a bit of a "swimming pool feeling". The service was not very special, but fine. The choice on the menu was not very large for an All You Can Eat restaurant - partly because we came to eat via a Social Deal and therefore did not have access to the full range. This is not exceptional for a Social Deal, so it was not a big problem for us, but it is something to take into account when you eat here this way, as the range is considerably smaller. The food was also very tasty and the entire experience was great if you want to have a pleasant evening and eat out on a budget (Asian).

The Asian fusion concept: a maximum of 5 small dishes per person per round. Very extensive choice of sushi. More than enough choice of other dishes. The friendly staff serves the dishes quickly. Ordering via tablet and serving per table instead of per guest make the service slightly less personal. There were seven of us. Then a second tablet would be nice. The descriptions of the dishes (as in the pre-tablet era in the menu booklet) seem to be missing. Or have we missed that feature in the tablet? Because we do not have to take allergies into account, not being able to identify the ingredients is not a problem for us. The swimming pool smell at the entrance and the bright fluorescent lighting that shines into the restaurant from the entrance somewhat detract from the atmosphere.

Good food. The sushi was very tasty and the combination with the other small dishes makes this a nice concept. Only the temperature inside was quite high. For your outfit: 24 degrees indoors...

Nice location with parking almost in front of the door (free) in Breda. Ate with 2 a la carte instead of the all you can eat concept... most dishes were more than satisfactory to good. Some dishes could be better... friendly service!

This place is a must do. Extremely good service from you enter until you leave the building. Simply great, the host is very committed to his business and does everything he can to ensure that you have a good time there. Also at the table service, this lady is simply great. Food allergies are also asked about and responded to appropriately. The food is super tasty. Both sushi and Indonesian cuisine, all top dishes. We enjoyed it immensely and will definitely come back.

I'm normally very happy with my sushi box (takeaway). I take that especially for my crispy chicken. But today it really wasn't edible. When calling, instead of listening, they make excuses and then ask what do you want me to do? Wow. You know, don't do anything, I'll never eat here again. Shame! The sushi can go in the trash. I don't like to waste but this is really not edible.

From Rotterdam we have been regularly coming for a bite to eat at Merlina for years. The dishes are never boring and the sushi is delicious. Very friendly staff and good quality food. We would be happy to drive a bit for it!

In terms of location, you don't expect a cozy restaurant. Reception by the nicest lady who sat us at a round table. 4-course dinner. Tasty soto ayam soup, followed by tasty spring rolls and fried dumplings. Main course a large selection of very tasty Indonesian dishes! Nasi and noodles are sufficient (they are also asked twice if it is enough), somewhat limited dessert buffet but tasty!

Delicious meal at Merlina, good service and very nice staff. Ask if you have any allergies and take that into account.

A positive surprise for us. Friendly staff and excellent cuisine. The arrangement of the tables in the restaurant's conservatory has a little more to it than the arrangement in the modern restaurant. Striking: the restaurant does not have its own toilets. These are located in a gallery outside the restaurant and freely accessible to people other than the restaurant's guests.

Food was fine, not much choice in sushi. Hygiene really 0 stars. Very dirty, even a cockroach ran over my arm. Hair everywhere. We left after 45 minutes to get dessert somewhere else. Won't come back again. Not recommended, but if you like live cockroaches.
