That Karel Bax must have never been there. But I have! Anyone who complains about Athina... should just go live in Israel by the Wailing Wall. Then nothing is good enough.

We had a delicious meal here; the portions are generous and the food tastes good. The price-quality ratio is good. The staff is attentive, friendly, and polite. Definitely recommended!

Clearly not welcome with three children on Saturday night around 5:30.. The people in front of us, who were initially standing at the other Greek place just like us (only bar stools), walked right in ahead of us. Our place was full! (Large restaurant / lots of empty tables!)

We searched for the best Greek restaurant in the Emmen/Assen region via reviews, ended up at Athina, and the reviews were wrong; this isn't just the best in the Emmen/Assen region, but genuinely the best in the entire Netherlands!!! What amazing flavors! Superb quality meat! And fantastic service! We live 1 hour and 15 minutes away, but we will definitely be coming back here more often, and it is worth driving "a bit" for! (we have even been twice this week!)

This is a restaurant that ranks in our top 3, and we are lucky enough to be able to eat out regularly. The next time we are in the area, we will definitely go back here. Everything was arranged perfectly. Highly recommended.

We were there today; when making the reservation, we asked if they accepted dinner gift cards. To which they said yes. We were on the early side and had to wait a bit before we could go inside. Two ladies who were also waiting said you should take the set menu, it's very good and that way you get to taste everything on the menu. So we did. When paying, however, we suddenly couldn't use the card because the set menu was already discounted. Really bad, because we didn't know that the set menu was supposedly already cheap. And the woman was really not nice. Never again. So make sure you ask very carefully if you want to hand something in there 🥵

The service was friendly and polite, and even though it was a Wednesday, it was pleasantly busy. Nice atmosphere, good food, and excellent value for money. We would love to come back again.

The food was truly delicious, but they forgot about us after the appetizer, so that took a while, but it wasn't a problem. My wife ordered Radler 0.0 and got 2.0, and she didn't realize it in time. The staff said they'd bring a new drink, but I'd finish it. Not convenient for someone who still has to drive.

The food itself is good, but not particularly special, especially considering the price. Service takes a long time, and if you order something, they don't do anything with it, or at least forget it until you ask again. Overall, I give it a 7 out of 10. With these prices and the current service, the food isn't spectacular. I thought it was quite pricey.

This Greek restaurant is full 5 stars worth. Even the kids öiked their meal. Everything was nice, tastes absolutely great and was made with love. Fresh herbs, salad, fresh garlic. The main dishes were also super nice! Bifteki juicy, lamb was fresh, all other stuff like sauces all great. Very very good. Fully satisfied and I can fully recommend!

It was my first time here, but it was a fantastic experience! We walked in and everything looked beautiful. We were warmly welcomed, allowed to choose our own table, and someone was with us almost immediately. The service was excellent and super friendly, with a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere. Wij houden enorm van Grieks eten, maar hebben in Nederland nog nooit zulk lekker Grieks eten geproefd. Dat, samen met de zeer punctuele bediening maakt dat we dit restaurant van harte aanbevelen en hebben de eigenaar gevraagd of hij ook een filiaal in onze woonplaats wil beginnen ;-)

We were on our way back and wanted to go out for a quick bite to eat and we were not disappointed. The service was great, especially when they noticed that we were from Germany. The staff were super friendly and helpful and made a lovely effort to translate everything. The food was great and the portions were good. ☺️ It was very tasty and the starter with olive tzatziki was also delicious. I highly recommend it. We would love to come back and it's better to reserve a table. We were lucky, but it was busy at 6 p.m. The salad could have been livened up with more fresh or different ingredients. Unfortunately, the coleslaw didn't really suit the ambience and was a bit bland. However, the gyros were perfect.

Seldom eaten so well at a Greek restaurant.👌🏻 A little more expensive, but for that you get pork fillet with Souflaki, for example, and not a dry minute schnitzel as is usually the case. The main course always includes fries, rice, tzatziki, garlic cream and mayonnaise and salad. Service guys, nice. Ambience good. It was very tasty. There is a small minus point for the salad, which unfortunately tastes like it came from a jar, not like it was homemade.

The food was very good and the service person also spoke German and was very accommodating, always asking if everything was okay. I can recommend the restaurant.

Greek Restaurant Athina is located slightly outside the center. On the outside it has a bit of a sad look. The inside is beautifully and spaciously decorated. The food is more than excellent. There is plenty of choice. The portions are big enough. You get plenty of side dishes and sauces. The staff are very friendly. The food comes quickly and there is enough time between the starter and the main course. The prices are good. The toilets are clean.

A hospitable welcome followed by delicious Greek food (the taste of the salad brought back a series of memories of Greece). Our son did not feel well during dinner, after which they effortlessly packed the food for us and asked several times how he was doing. We further enjoyed our dinner in our holiday home. Recommended!

Ate here for the second time. Delicious food, nice service and a nice atmosphere. It's also very nice that they think along if you don't eat something such as pork or beef. We will definitely come back again.
