Tonight, the five of us chose the surprise menu. We had a truly delicious meal. The appetizer, main course, and dessert were all delicious. They were served hot and beautifully. A large carafe of water and a delicious rosé were also included.

This place is amazing! The chef deserves a Michelin star, the tasty curry, the deliciously soft ‘heilbot’ the fantastic sublime deserts ( in the surprise menus we got an amazingly Tom ka Kai inspired ice cream desert… I can only say sublime❤️) five stars is not enough… I’m in awe

We came on recommendation and were initially a little disappointed by the ambiance and the service, which simply forgot about us. But the food was so uniquely delicious, and it was prepared extra spicy for us, that we forgot our initial doubts. I really recommend this place!

This time we went to Aya for dinner for the third time, we were happy and surprised again. Nice and friendly staff, the place is tastefully decorated. The Asian dishes were very tasty and the plates were beautifully presented. Fine flavors that were carefully composed. In short, a must for people who want to eat "across the border". The price-quality ratio is excellent. We will definitely come back here!

Aya impresses. Small menu, but the dishes are excellently seasoned and well thought out. The ramen here is also very tasty. We have never been disappointed with food at Aya, the quality is consistent. Tip: Make sure to reserve two days in advance.

A culinary surprise at Aya What a fantastic experience at restaurant Aya! The flavours were truly surprising – each dish had its own character and a lot of attention was clearly paid to combinations that you don’t come across every day. From the refined starters to the creative dessert, everything was perfectly balanced and originally presented.

Last year I had dinner at AYA and since then I have often thought back to the delicious food! Yesterday I finally went back and again it was great! We were served in a friendly and helpful manner, there was always just enough time between all courses. And the food was great again. There will definitely be a third visit.

Friendly staff, but bad food. It's the first time I was served medium rare chicken and had someone explain to me that it was pre-cooked and not indeed raw! The rest of the food, the spices, the ingredients and preparation methods were not anywhere close to authentic cuisine but very clearly improvised by over-confident and over-ambitious "chefs". We both left or plates partially-eaten and we left €60 lighter in total disappointment to go back home and eat a salad. We're never going back.

What a surprise. Delicious Asian snacks. Good cuisine that our group felt good about with the three-course menu. Sufficient choice of food and also a nice beer or good wine. Price-quality very good and located in a good location in Nijmegen East.

A hidden gem in the neighborhood. This place has great menu selections of Japanese Korean mix. The ramen has very rich flavors and the noodles’ texture is much better than other ramen places I have been to. The karaage is cooked to perfection; crunchy on the outside but very juice inside…amazing! The chicken and waffle was also superb. Very tasty and presented well. My husabd really enjoyed the Dan-Dan noodles and it inspired us to make it at home. We will come back, for sure. Long drive from Eindhoven but it’s worth the trip.

The best Asian restaurant I have been to in the Netherlands! They definitely know how to bring out the flavours.. we have been here thrice now and we can’t wait to come back again! Definitely must try the mapu tofu, massamman curry, spicy dumplings. The matcha cake was also delicious and not very strong in matcha flavour which made it perfect. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

Friendly service and served quickly. Surprising dishes, but I can imagine that not everyone likes this taste palette. We appreciated the Korean. Really something different. Gochuan chicken is delicious...and on a waffle!?! The price is somewhat high, but considering today's inflation, the price-quality ratio is quite good. Reservations are recommended for the evening!

Today I had the Japanese okonomiyaki with chicken for lunch. Very tasty!!!!

Food was very tasty and unique. Staff is friendly and helpful if you are not yet familiar with the dishes. Absolutely recommended, we will have to return soon to taste the rest of the menu.

I was a bit disappointed, with such high rated reviews. We had a miso aubergine which hardly tasted like miso and was super sweet, like candy sweet. The KFC was quite good, so were the duck pancakes, but the mapo tofu another let down: the Szechuan peper is properly spicy but the other flavours and textures were unrefined. Atmosphere is nice though.

AYA might not be fully veggie/vegan, as a vegan I think it's really worth a visit. They really make an effort to offer amazing vegan options. I go here for lunch and dinner and just love every single dish they make. Recommendations for vegans: - the crispy gyoza's: tasty, not too spicy - bao fried tofu: a real comfort treat with nice toppings - dan dan noodles: a great option for people who like spicy food - tantanmen ramen: a bit spicy and so full of flavour The noodles they use are amazing! Also: the staff is so kind. Since we're regular guests and tend to come in early, the chef sometimes offers to make a non-vegan dish vegan for us whenever he has time to do so. It shows they pay attention to their guests and know how to cook vegan food. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Nijmegen. #vegan #vegannijmegen

We were in Nijmegen for the weekend and wanted to eat something different. We came here and were pleasantly surprised by delicious food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff!

Cafe atmosphere, but tastier, although my Korean noodles with duck were a bit salty. Great dessert (matcha blondie)! The staff is super friendly, not always attentive, but that's part of it.

WOW. wow. OMG. wow. We are soooo happy with AYA in 'our' Nijmegen. How lucky. We would happily drive to the other side of the Netherlands. We are self-proclaimed food snobs. (You can imagine ;-) ) The dishes are all created with such skill and love and made in a way that feels effortless. In addition, it is also a nice, relaxing tent. Big flavors yet subtle. Everything is correct. We regularly order something that we actually don't like. Tofu for example. Pfff.....that's incredibly tasty. This way we leave with a big smile every time. It was better than we remembered. So that's why we keep going back. Do yourself a favor and go to AYA. Please make a reservation. Tasty!

We had a delicious meal at Aya's with a group of six. The table was filled every time with different dishes, all of which were tasty. Everyone had a different favorite. This in combination with friendly and relaxed service made the evening great. Highly recommended!

A nice cozy place to eat delicious Asian food. We were there for lunch and got the waffles. Well seasoned and tasty. Highly recommended to have a meal and enjoy the delicious authentic flavors. The waiter said that the bao (steamed buns) is a small dish and possibly just a little too little for a good lunch. He advised us to order something extra. Nice that he said that beforehand. In any case, the staff was friendly and interested. Another advantage, you can park for free in the area!

Delicious food and pleasant service. Strange that you have to walk all the way from the back terrace to the front door via the street to go to the toilet. The PIN machine was also broken, which made paying very difficult and irritating. Nevertheless, it was a great meal, highly recommended!

Had dinner at AYA for the first time after hearing good things about it. Wow were we surprised! A very extensive, varied and surprising menu that actually gave us the stress of choosing. From snacks to main courses; everything was perfectly balanced and flavourful. The fried tofu bao was amazing and has been in my memory for a long time. Also in terms of portion size, you don't have to worry about going home hungry. All in all, we were very surprised and after our first starters we already agreed that we will come back here many more times! Definitely recommended :-)

Quality of the food is good, atmosphere is generally fine. Only the portions and price are seriously out of proportion. Small sandwich for 9 euros, small smoothie glass 8 euros. And the quality isn't that much higher. Disproportionate now. Started well, but is getting worse.

Very cozy restaurant, in the summer you can sit outside. The food is very tasty! The onigiri with salmon, the waffle with chicken or cauliflower and the all day noodles are very tasty. We really like that you can eat hot dishes there all day long. Staff is super friendly! They are happy to help with food intolerances. A real addition to Nijmegen!

Delicious food and very surprised by some of the dishes. We had several things from the drinks menu and the starters. 3 dishes per round. This is more than enough and I am a big eater. Everything was well seasoned and delicious. The highlight for us was the eggplant, very tasty. For dessert pavlova and the blondie, blondie ok but the pavlova was very tasty. In addition to the food, the service was also very friendly. Overall had a nice evening, would come back again

I thought the food was quite ok, but I thought the portions were much too large, the employees absolutely did not advise me about this, the meat on the satay skewers was almost impossible to find and in addition, I didn't get the idea from any employee that they liked it. liked working here. Everything was really great except for the ramen 😔. For the ramen I had, the broth tasted like salty water, and I don’t think it was made neither from stock, dashi or miso paste. I couldn’t figure out why the braised pork was served in a whole block without being cut in thin slices. I was not sure how I could cut the meat in a bowl of soup. And it was pretty tough for braised pork. It was salty to the extent that it tasted bitter. It was such a pity for a dish that costs above average price. I highly recommend the korean fried chicken. This dish tasted really really nice.
