Normally I never post reviews, but my experience at BACK was so bad that I see it as my duty to warn others. During corona I occasionally ordered BACK and was generally satisfied: you could get a good meal for around €12-13. When I walked in today I noticed that you pay more than 15 euros for a basic meal. Logical with inflation, I thought at the time. When ordering you end up in a maze of extra costs for components that you expect to be included for already a fairly hefty price. BACK has now become a figurehead for the concept of 'shinkflation'. When I received my order I was surprised that the box was about half the size as it was a few years ago. My surprise grew further when I opened the container at home and saw the amount of food: a measly amount of rice, hardly any vegetables that did not match what I had ordered and less than 100g of chicken. To top it all off, everything was cold. Despite the scandalously low quality and quantity of the food, the staff was friendly. Conclusion: NEVER order from BACK, unless you have too much money and a lack of good taste.

Always received delicious orders from BACK. Lately it's been crappy. Received the wrong order several times and now half was not delivered and the other half was incomplete. When you call BACK you get an uninterested person who places the blame outside himself and accuses Uber delivery drivers of stealing. The solution given is to place a new order. This is worthless!

I was thoroughly enjoying the meal until I ate a piece of raw chicken. I partly ate it and partly spit it out, it was completely pink, I inspected it with my phone flashlight, I seriously hope I don't die. I can no longer enjoy my meal, which is a shame.

The food was really fantastic. So healthy! The price is a bit lower and the atmosphere still needs some work (since there are only a few stools at the window, it is actually a takeaway service). But otherwise really very satisfied; really good and nutritious food for your money. Good music too.

this place used to be amazing. not sure what happened. the prices went up significantly while the quality went down. management should really try to revamp the place.

Portions are getting smaller and smaller, the service is terrible (doesn't speak Dutch). Anyway, normal in Amsterdam these days...

Ordered from Uber eats and then received completely different things than what I ordered. Didn't get anything back from Uber eats or the restaurant shit service

Normally not someone who spends time on bad reviews for hardworking catering establishments. But this now seems to be the only way to hopefully change something because the latest orders are always disappointing... I have been eating here for years, almost every week. But recently disappointed again and again by smaller portions or missing items (9/10 times). I really hope they change this otherwise I see no reason to eat here anymore.

Spicy chicken 🍗 and 🥩 were fantastic. Great concept, great food. Picture says it all... we ate everything update 2024 - just average food now, it’s ok for what it is but not the quality level from when it first openend or worth the same price

Slecht broodje met taaie biefstuk en enorm onaardig, arrogant en niet Nederlands sprekend personeel. Rekenen extra kosten als je iets wilt meenemen!

Bad sandwich with tough steak... unfriendly, arrogant non-Dutch speaking staff... charge extra costs if you want to take something with you

Delivery was fast and friendly. If I indicate "no black beans" then I don't want them. You can make a mistake, but there were just too many.

Ordered two dishes from here and only one got delivered. Got refunded for the dish but now all restaurants are closed and I still don’t have food. But still had to pay full price for delivery and « service fees » When we tried to contact them they didn’t even answer and are now ignoring all my calls. Avoid at all cost. (Food isn’t even tasty and overpriced)

I love the food! It’s great in taste and proteins and I am always enjoying it (happy as well that you offer “small” sizes for a good price - Perfect after sport). But one guy in the kitchen is not enough! Many people are waiting and one guy has to cook all Delivery and Take-away orders. I’ve been waiting so long for my small dish. He’s trying his best, but this is clearly a management problem.

Getting my good here since venue opened at ZuidAs. Normally one of the few healthy go-to's with nice portions. Last few visits my order was not properly processed. Missing ingredients and substance way below par. Not sure if I come BACK.

Got a delivery today. Extremely salty food. I had to stop eating half way. Tastes like burnt leftovers. Will not order from here again.

Ordered a meal via Uber, 17 euros. I don't even get a 1 person meal. Everyone here was shocked by the quantity and for that price. It was also cold. Phone was also not answered. I want a resistance, since I just had to make other food...

Been taking my lunch work there for a while now and today especially had such a positive experience. I was in a rush as I only have 30 min lunch and the guy got my order ready in less than 5 minutes! I big thank you to this amazing person. Service is great, so whoever was working today for lunch time - big compliments

Verschrikkelijke traag en vies - ik kan dit iedereen afraden die ofwel zijn tijd of smaak waardeerd.

Echt lekker, superfresh en gezond!

Het eten was redelijk. Goede smaak en snel bereid. Maar de hygiëne ver te zoeken.. ontzettend vies overal stof + voedselresten op de grond in de keuken.. waardoor wij het eten al meteen niet meer lekker vinden. Bizar dat je dit laat gebeuren in een eet tent.

Sfeer is 1 ster omdat het een afhaal toko is. Dus dat zegt niks over het bedrijf. Ik vind het eten goed van smaak portie is groot zat. De prijs is niet laag maar ik vind het het waard. Zoals in vele toko's wordt je in het Engels te woord gestaan. Al moet je bestellen of online of op een zuil in de winkel. Al met al lekker eten dat gezonde is dan ene MC of BK

Opzicht goed eten, maar niet consistent qua kwaliteit. Laatste keer was het wat droog.

Back Amsterdam used to be one of my favorite places to dine, but my recent visit left much to be desired. I opted for their beastmode menu, but it fell short of expectations. The main issue was the missing toppings, which are essential to elevate the dish's flavor. Unfortunately, this time, they were noticeably absent, leaving the meal bland and unexciting. Moreover, the portion size was disappointing, with the plate mostly filled with rice. For the price I paid (30 euros+), I expected a more balanced and fulfilling dish. Overall, Back Amsterdam's recent performance was below par. I hope they can address these issues and restore their former glory. Until then, I'll be hesitant to return or recommend the restaurant to others.

PSA - filling more than half the bowl with the carb component makes it neither healthy nor good value for money. More veggies, less carbs please. I feel sick after eating my mexicana bowl EVEN after eating only HALF of the SMALL size! I also specifically ask for less carbs more veggie that's not what I got.

I always have the Mexican meal and the last 3 times I have been deeply disappointed . It used to be really well portion sizes per ingredient but now the only ingredients you see is lots of rice and beans. Less chicken and even less cauliflower .. even though the price went up the quality really went down. This is really disappointing because I used to eat here at least once a week, it used to be my favorite place.

Toptent! Eindelijk een plek waar je gezond en lekker eten krijgt in de juiste porties. Ietwat prijzig, maar dat zijn bijna alle tentjes tegenwoordig ;)

The food is okay, normal but what was terribly disappointing was I ordered two sauces and got only one. The one I received was laddered with so much salt my tastebuds could not take it! It was literally like eating only salt! They also forgot to add additional vegetables that I paid for. I couldn’t go back because I live too far. The salmon was embarrassingly small. They should be ashamed for selling such small salmon portions.

Snel, vers en ‘gezond’. Alleen vrij duur voor wat je ervoor terug krijgt. Uiteindelijk zit er voornamelijk rijst in je bak, en niet heel veel toppings (tenzij je bij betaalt). Ik vond de toppings daarentegen wel erg lekker, dus daar niks op aan te merken

Ze hebben iets veranderd aan het recept van Dolce Vita, eerder was het veeel lekkerder. Erg jammer.

There was an entire piece of garlic and entire unpeeled onion in my mashed pumpkin. I instantly got nauseous as I only noticed once the garlic was in my mouth. Who serves stuff like that?! The prices are high while the quality doesn't match this at all.

Big fan from the beginning. Tasty products! However, the amount of food from my last two orders was comparatively smaller (than previously) and additionally one has to pay extra for the sauce now. These two factors will make me reconsider ordering from here

Restaurante take away de comida saludable, sorprendente por su delicioso sabor y textura. Equipo joven, dinámico y muy amable. Merece la pena probarlo. 100% recomendable.

Oprecht echt mega lekker. Gezond, gevarieerd, wereld-concept. Prijzen kleinnnnn tikkie naar beneden, dan gaan we een paar keer per week bestellen. Good luck met de business!
