BackWerk in Hoofddorp

I visited the area and passed by the shop, and when I saw the fresh juices, my boyfriend and I decided to stop for a while. The man who helped us was very polite and kind. The food and juices were excellent, and the prices were very good. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting or staying near the airport — it’s definitely worth it!

The Hoofddorp branch is incredibly clean and friendly. I love going there on Sundays to have breakfast and start my day. Always well-maintained, and I feel comfortable there 😊

Bagel with carpaccio. 1 or 2 slices. The sandwich was half empty, so it was dry. The woman behind the counter was very rude. She didn't even say "good morning" and barely made eye contact.

The selection itself looks appealing. If you look a little closer, you'll see that the sandwiches with fresh meats, for example, aren't refrigerated. This means that steak tartare, tuna salad, and chicken breast, for example, are prone to bacterial growth and spoilage. Flies are regularly seen on the sweet rolls. The sandwiches are quite sparsely filled and a bit dry.

Great selection of rolls and pastry, with hot drinks and freshly squeezed fruit juices served by very friendly staff. Perfect for a light lunch.

Very tasty and fresh for a reasonable price. Sausage cheese roll €3 normal filled roll €5.50 delicious smoothies €2.50 or €3.50 and lots of choice. You do have to pay for the toilet which I find less.

BackWerk isn’t fine dining, but let’s be honest—it’s not pretending to be. You get what you pay for: a quick, decent bite that does the job when you’re on the go. The sandwiches are alright, the selection is solid, and sometimes that grab-and-go convenience is exactly what you need. A lot of the negative reviews seem to come from people who can actually make amazing sandwiches at home. Good for them—some of us just want to eat something now without assembling an entire deli in our kitchen. So no, it’s not gourmet, and yes, you might still feel a little hungry afterward. But it’s fast, affordable, and doesn’t judge you for forgetting to pack lunch. Works for me!

Horrific service. The cashier was more interested in chatting with other staff than being at cashier and she overcharged for an apple juice. Listed price was 2.85 eur and she charged 3 eur claiming its statie held. Horrible lady

We often visit this place. Lovely staff and owners. Food is descent and good value for money. The morning soups are tasty, the fresh juice are really good, and the coffee is just what one needs.

The hot dog sandwich was very tasty, the bagel with carpaccio could have been a little more generously topped. The pumpkin soup was not a success, but the mushroom soup was very tasty. Paid 18 euros in total, great price. But I think it's poor that you have to pay for the toilet. Especially since that money is clearly not being used to keep the toilet clean.

Sandwiches are moderately filled, so it seems like a lot when you walk past them. Once you have bought it and you open it, there is only a third of it inside instead of the amount you would expect. Backwerk Hoofddorp is no longer what it once was, unfortunately!

Older manager/owner who gets on your nerves by walking with you everywhere from arrival to the cash register. Very awkward. Doesn't speak Dutch. He babbles a bit in English, which is partly understandable. Sandwiches are unwrapped in the display case. You have a tray to put it on. No sign or anything like that. Then the toilet moment: as a customer you also pay for the toilet here. Normally a fan of back work but this branch....... For us the first backwork to which we will certainly not return.

I always loved coming here, but since the takeover, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the products have deteriorated considerably. It looked like the baguette from the sandwiches had been there for days. It tasted that old. I asked for a new one, but she started talking to me as if I was demanding everything from her. She was immediately offended. I'm just a kid myself so it was a very normal, innocent question. I WILL NEVER COME AGAIN!!!!

Friendly people, the older man is also all about service. Everything was cleaned constantly. The woman at the cash register was also a sweetheart. Only the chocolate milk could be a little hotter, which I was used to here. But I am happy with the entire Back group work.

I had lunch here for 20 euros but still had to pay 0.50 euros for a toilet visit. Staff have gloves, but they change the trash bags and touch everything again with the same glove. Tables and floor were dirty and smelled unpleasant. Sandwiches tasted like they had been there for at least 2 days, I don't like coming here anymore since the new owner.

I don't know what's going on here, but man oh man, it is so dirty here. We ultimately decided to only buy drinks because of the dirty floor and tables. The flies on the sandwiches were also anything but inviting. My daughter also had to pee. You have to pay separately for this. Looks fine. But a festival toilet is clean. The entire floor is full of urine, toilet paper and food scraps. Not to mention the toilet bowl itself. They didn't seem to care that much when I indicated that it was really dirty. We loved coming here, but that's over after today.

Sandwiches are good at a normal price. This business has had a new owner for several months now. You are treated unfriendly. Previously, as a customer you could use the toilet free of charge. Now you pay 50 cents even if you are a customer. This really isn't possible. You also pay 10 cents extra for a cup of coffee. You see the business declining. The place was always full under the previous owner. This is certainly no longer the case.

Stepped in for 2 coffees and sandwiches. Coffee from €1.50 is highly regarded. Turns out to be espresso. Our coffee tasted good and was €1.80 That's not expensive, but we would do it differently. 2 sandwiches €11.00, baguette with chicken. Together for €14.60. Ultimately we both wanted to go to the toilet and had to pay 50 cents per person for that. That's strange, you're in a catering company and then you pay for the toilet. However, I saw that someone got a toilet coin for us. When I pointed this out I was rudely told that we had to pay. The toilet has also become a revenue model. €0.50 x... Well, keep it up, let people pay for napkins or something.

Nice place to enjoy a delicious sandwich of your choice. I often come here when I go kicking in Hoofddorp, because they don't have Backwerk in Amstelveen yet. Highly recommended ;)

Don't come here! Ordered coffee, it was very watery. Staff is almost impossible to communicate with. Still had to pay to use the toilet despite what I bought. The toilet smelled terribly and everything was covered in urine. My child could not urinate normally there. Really too dirty! Hygiene below standard.

Sinds de nieuwe eigenaar een mooi en strak uitziende zaak waar je lekker vers eten kan benuttigen!

Wat een top locatie en wat een lieve mensen werken hier!!

Echt gezellige zaak. Nieuwe eigenaar ontmoet, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kom hier altijd als we in Hoofddorp moeten zijn. Broodjes zijn lekker en betaalbaar, evenals de koffie. Interieur is pas veranderd, ziet er heel gezellig uit. Aanrader om even koffie te drinken tussen het shoppen door.

Op een drukke zaterdag langs geweest met twee jonge kinderen. Heerlijk gegeten en superaardige bediening. Kennelijk net een nieuwe eigenaar, en als het niveau zo is komen we zeker terug.

Nieuwe eigenaar, ziet er gelijk veel smakelijker uit, veel keus en nu ook hallal broodjes te verkrijgen! Ik ben zeer tevreden en heb genoten van jullie hot omelet broodje met champignons. Kreeg ook een 10 procent korting voucher voor een volgende bestelling..

Mooi vernieuwde indeling. Lijkt ruimer. Eten altijd on Top. Koffie uit de machine goed te drinken.

Eten is wel lekker maar het restaurant is een puinhoop. Alsof hier varkens zijn wezen vreten

Heerlijke broodjes en altijd vers!

Als je een betaalbaar broodje en een lekkere bak koffie wil, dan is Backwerk een goede plaats om even lekker te zitten. Alhoewel de prijzen de afgelopen tijd wel al 2 of 3 keer verhoogd zijn, is dit nog steeds één van de beter betaalbare plekken om een kop koffie en een broodje te halen in Hoofddorp.

Mijn favoriete broodjeszaak! Ik eet ze nooit daar, ik neem ze altijd mee naar huis, dus over de zaak zelf heb ik niet veel te zeggen. Maar over de broodjes wel, dus dat ga ik dan ook doen! Ik ga nooit naar Hoofddorp zonder langs te gaan bij deze zaak. Je krijgt echt waar voor je geld, want de broodjes zijn gewoon goed belegd. Bij veel zaken waar je de broodjes mee kan nemen (zoals De Broodzaak op stations), is het beleg ontzettend karig, maar hier heb je dat probleem zeker niet. Nog nooit gevonden dat er te weinig op zat (behalve op een locatie in Amsterdam) en voor rond de €4 is dat gewoon een super goede deal. Personeel aan de kassa is ook gewoon altijd aardig. Ik heb helemaal niks op jullie aan te merken! Dank jullie wel voor jullie heerlijke broodjes!
