BackWerk in Breda centrum

We love Backwerk because we know it from our visits to Germany. An Oebel or something similar would be even better, but you can't have everything. The prices and food are fine, but the staff! No greeting, busy chatting with each other. Such a shame. With this formula, you could really create something good. It's not unique to this location. So, a quick, tasty sandwich and coffee. Don't expect an atmospheric interior or staff who go out of their way to make your visit a pleasant one.

Lots of sandwiches to choose from. Excellent service. My sandwich was warmed up for me. Afterwards, I was able to sit outside.

Friendly staff and delicious food! The cashier advised me to warm up my sandwich because it would be even tastier, and it was delicious! Then we had to warm up a bottle of baby food, but despite there being no microwave, a staff member (who was very busy during lunchtime) offered to bring us a bowl of warm water so we could warm up the bottle au bain marie. And this was kindly brought to our table. Compliments to this team!

I've eaten here twice now, the first time I had to flush my sandwich with a drink... dry mess! Went there last night, around dinner time. A cheese stick and a chicken frikandel sandwich, freshly prepared? Well, with the cheese stick I could really hit someone, the fruit flies were flying around my ears, and the toilet was filthy, the paper towels were scattered all over the toilet, I wouldn't send my worst enemy there! Staff are on their phones behind the cash register, put it away and start cleaning! Never again, yuck! Not even worth 1 star!!

There wasn't much of the food And I think what was there had been there for a while. Wasn't really fresh anymore and the staff was a bit grumpy. Quite expensive for what you get.. the soup had been cooking for at least 30 minutes and no one from the staff seemed to care. The containers were empty. In short bad !!

Cappuccino is only milk, no coffee at all, complained, and get another exact tasteless cup. Every time we here it's always too crowded, don't feel very comfortable, hygiene is on the low side.

First time in here. Accessible concept. Grab your own sandwich, soup or something else and pay at the cash register. Reasonable prices. Food nothing special. Lacks flavour.

Delicious egg salad sandwich with bacon (2.20), a spinach smoothie (3.20) and a brownie with nuts on top (1.70) today. All very tasty! And friendly staff. Could you wipe the tables a little more often ;-) and perhaps look at an alternative to all those plastic cups + straws? The fact that there is a toilet is super nice 👍👍👍 Today (13-01-2023) the place was really dirty. Dirt everywhere, tables are not cleaned in between, the floor doesn't look good, it looks very messy inside and the toilet.... ouch. I know that customers soil it themselves, but on a busy Saturday it really needs to be cleaned in between and really cleaned thoroughly. Doors/walls/mirror, sink, floor and pot. Everything actually. It's really dirty.

Superfijn concept, zelfservice en aan de kassa afrekenen. Zou in elke grote stad moeten zitten, zodat je toch snel, gezond en makkelijk buiten de deur kunt ontbijten/lunchen. Lekkere belegde broodjes en zoete baksels. Koffie, thee, verse jus en vers fruit.

Zondag hier wezen eten. Mijn zoon wou een broodje gezond zonder vleeswaren. Meneer achter de kassa maakte voor hem een broodje gezond zonder vlees (16.30 en redelijk druk). Vandaag wederom geweest, hij wou weer een broodje gezond zonder vleeswaren. Volgen de jongedame achter de kassa was de keuken schoon en werden er geen broodjes meer gemaakt (15.45 en het was op zich rustig). Jammer, want rond dit tijdstip zou je nog verwachten dat je iets vers kon krijgen. Al met al, lekkere broodjes en lekkere smooties.

It's gotten very expensive lately for a sandwich shop but the quality is still at a right level. Coffee price remains almost unchanged which is a positive touch.

Ganz gut, allerdings von Deutschland viel mehr Auswahl gewöhnt und preiswerter.

Eten was goed maar weinig ruimte als zit plaats

Nu ter plekke aan het eten van een warm gemaakt frikandel broodje en stokbrood tonijn salade . Eindelijk de eerste tonijnsalade zonder mayo of vettige saus erdoor hierdoor blijft de tonijn zn smaak behouden. Tot slot het frikandel broodje . Eindelijk niet de standaard smaak van een frikandel broodje maar net even anders . Ja heel goed . Had het niet verwacht .

Prima betaalbare plek om even snel te lunchen.

Ik kende dit concept al uit Aken. En vond het altijd heel lekker laatste keer dat ik daar was, echt achter uit gegaan. Wist ik veel dat wij dit ook hier hebben in Nederland. Een heerlijk broodje met omelet gehad, werd ook even opgewarmd voor mij. En tegen een brownie zeg ik geen Nee! Deze was echt smullen.

Goed assortiment voor een goede prijs. Wel sfeerloos.
