Small intimate speciality coffee in an amazing neighborhood. The coffee was very good the sweet are handmade and the barista was super friendly. We came here three times while visiting Amsterdam feeling just at home. Go in if you want to feel like you are at home.

Delicious specialty coffee (I am truly amazed!), the kindest people who work there (and they truly can recommend you nice things to try!) and cute atmosphere! I am so forever grateful that I stumbled upon this place. I definitely recommend and hope to stop by sometime again :)

A good place to have a coffee. They have good yogurt bowls and the carrot cake is also very good. A good specialty coffee. They have great hours because they open very early. The guy was very friendly.

Unassuming place, hesitated a little before entering, but so glad we did! Beautifully delicious coffee, and flavor profile is clearly marked on the package. Friendly barista, who gave us some helpful points on coffee selection as well as places to tour for local vibes.

Carrot pound cake tastes great. Orange smoothie tastes funky first, then the more I drink my taste bud likes it. Didn't try coffee cus had plenty earlier but it smells good.

A wonderful neighborhood gem. All coffees are artisanal and single sourced. Even the decaf was extraordinary. Seating inside, along the front of the store outside and in an intimate courtyard. Highly recommend.

We came in. Waited for 2 minutes and nobody from the service team talked to us. Treated us like we were air. We were basically standing in front of them. Very unfriendly

Had ordered a large cappuccino and a latte and got what seemed like 2 coffees with hot milk dumped in. Virtually no foam, very large bubbles and certainly no latte art. It was probably the barista's first day or something, but this is not the quality you expect here. Furthermore, the coffee itself was tasty and the atmosphere was good.

We got to know this place through the City Calendar, it is super cozy here and the coffee is delicious!

The staff is kind and friendly, the coffee is delicious, and the interior is decorated in a cute pink theme with pink coffee bean bags. There are also flowers, creating a soft and relaxing atmosphere.

Walked by many times and finally gave it a try. I liked the coffee itself, but the star was the carrot cake (10/10). It’s in a pretty pink color and nice overall design. I found it super strange that there are no prices - quite annoying. Would be curious to know what let to such decision. FYI carrot cake + cappuccino was 8,10€

Excellent coffee, pity how unfriendly the staff are

No price displayed, for two cappuccinos and two small cinnamon croissants, €16.20. only customers, no courtesy simply the cup with the business card to advertise (usually if I'm interested I take it myself). Apart from the price, I didn't like the quality of the drinks: the cappuccino had too much coffee, not balanced. The pasta however was dry.

The staff were so friendly and very welcoming! Everything tasted very good.

Best cortado I've had in Amsterdam so far. Nice house blend or single origins ranging from Ethiopia to Peru! Very nice staff and cozy yet small interior space.

Cute café with excellent coffee. The pastries don’t look appealing, unfortunately. It’s very small but you can always take your coffee and sit down in the park. They have some nice selections of beans to bring back home, got some beans from Nicaragua and they taste delicious.

Best specialty coffee place in de pijp. Kind people, roast their own beans and very chill vibe.

Positive aspect of this place would be the great quality of the coffee beans we purchased but on the downside the cortado coffee ordered in the cafe wasn’t much delightful. The staff weren’t that attentive so I would stick to my 3 star review. I could have tried their babbycino coffee which is recommended by many and I would definitely love to give that a try next time.

Food was average but delicious. Ordered a croissant and a hot chocolate. There was no service as you had to go to the counter to order. The cafe was tiny, there were not a lot of people what made the cafe ideal for calm moments.

I love this coffee & pastry place. I wish they had a Matcha (it is a fine-ground, powdered, high-quality green tea) bc it’s really hard to choose a hot drink for people who don’t like coffee. I liked they have banana and lime bread, but in general verity of sweets is not that big. I hope they will fix it.

Unless you're a bitter person you rate this 4,9..if it's below, then you're a scumbag...it's a straight 5!! Joest knows his thing bout coffee, friendly baristas, nice ambiance, great taste of music...one of the reference if you're ever in AMS town...keep it up,buddy!

I was looking for a cozy little specialty coffee space. I came across Badeta on Instagram and thought I would go an check it out. I am not a specialty coffee snob, but the staff explained the different types of beans very well and helped me to find my cup of coffee. It felt very accessible but yet different to the mainstream coffee shops. I really liked the pink atmosphere ;). I highly recommend giving it a try!

Badeta is one of those places where you get a really really good cup of coffee in the early morning. I also get my coffee beans for my Bialetti there👌🏼The team is always friendly and knowledgeable about the different beans, roasts or machines. 💛 They even sell Espresso Martini in bottles ;)

You have to visit Badeta for the best coffee in Amsterdam. This cute coffee roastery in de Pijp freshly roasts all coffee beans themselves. Amazing specialty coffee and the freshly baked pastries are better than from any bakery I know. You can buy their coffee beans for at home as well. My new favourite place!

Nestled in the heart of Tweede van Helstraat, Badeta has long been my top destination for premium coffee beans. They consistently deliver an exceptional taste, perfect for my home brews. Their commendable early opening at 7:30 AM caters to early birds and the pre-work crowd. Interestingly, a recent conversation with the owner enlightened me about their investment in a newer, larger roastery. This has allowed them to purchase in larger bulks, resulting in a significant reduction in the prices of coffee bags over the past month. However, the cost for individual servings like the cappuccino remains on the higher side. This is due to the organic, full-fat milk from MoMa, which recently saw a price increase. Furthermore, I've noticed that the prices for batch brew have risen by 20% since the start of this year. Yet, over the past years, my experiences have been a mixed bag. A noticeable trend of frequent staff changes has led to inconsistencies in the batch brew's quality. Sometimes, I'm treated to an impeccable brew, while other times it falls short of expectations. Another pivotal shift has been the reduction from offering two choices of batch brew to just one, limiting the variety and making the experience feel less tailored. Despite being a regular, dropping by once or twice a week, there's seldom a feeling of being part of a coffee-loving community. More often, I feel like just another customer in line. Nevertheless, the dedication and passion for coffee remain evident at Badeta Koffiebranders, and I continue to return, holding out hope for that flawless cup.

De koffie is redelijk, niet bijzonder. Duur voor wat het is. Jammer dat je er niet met cash geld kunt betalen.

Nice and cosy place with lovely staff and nice coffee and cake. The only nitpick is that they serve only one hot batch brewed coffee and one cold brewed. There’s no hand brewed coffee (v60, chemex .. etc). That being said, this didn’t stop me from going again and I’m sure everyone will find something they’ll like.

In De Pijp zitten erg veel uitstekende koffiezaken, en deze hoort daar zeker bij. Het is mogelijk om buiten te zitten en binnen is er ook een botanische buitenruimte en de hele Badetta is esthetisch ingericht. Meerdere soorten goede koffiebonen en het personeel is erg vriendelijk. Ook kan je Badetta zelf in huis halen door hier hun bonen aan te schaffen. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

First time coming to this place, filter Koffie was 4 euro & very bitter. I let my friends try it & the verdict was not good. Everyone else enjoyed what they ordered though..

Great coffee with varied menu! Super nice staff

In this small coffee shop, the waitress pointed out to me that working on a laptop was not allowed. This was not written down anywhere nor was I told when ordering, as I have a laptop had with me. Where she first said 'then you know this for next time', she then told me that I had to close the laptop. unfriendly, unwelcoming. I'm fine with the policy, but please let guests know in advance! Coffee is okay but pricey.
