Bagels & Beans in Binnenstad

I used to like coming here, but after the incredibly disrespectful treatment last weekend I will definitely not be coming back. Ordered a drink, which tasted fine in the past, but now tasted absolutely disgusting. Employee reassured me and I could exchange it for another drink. Once during the checkout, the first drink was still on the bill, after which I indicated to the employee that this was incorrect. He asked the owner next to him, to which she irritatedly shouted 'just hit me' without even looking at me. I wanted to explain that her own employee had previously told me that it was fine, and without letting me finish I still got a big mouth and a bucket of aggression thrown at me. I was simply stunned by how disrespectful and unfriendly this woman is to customers, if you treat your customers like this I expect many more people will avoid this place.

Today I was very shocked at how the owner verbally abused another guest. The guest remained calm but was clearly very upset by this and in my opinion he did nothing wrong that such a person should still be a manager.

We have had a delicious meal twice already, really tasty, spacious bagels and the last order with salads was also absolutely great. Recommended for anyone who likes bagels and especially salmon

Fantastic place for breakfast or lunch or just a quick snack. Lots of choice from the most delicious drinks, bagels and sweets. Friendly employees and are also happy to provide water for your dog. Lots of choice of vegetarian and vegan products and you can also order to go for on the go.

You have to be very patient and wait a long time for your food!! This is the umpteenth time that we have to wait so long for the sandwiches! Very unfortunate and we will never visit this branch again

Bagels and Beans is one of my favourite places for lunch in Gouda. Here I'm always guaranteed a good plantbased coffee and lunch and it's open every day. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff is very attentive. In whatever city you are, at Bagels and Beans you always feel at home.

Food was super tasty, I had the chili chicken strips. The strips were not chicken, they were vegetarian, they looked like cardboard.

Zeer slechte plek, ik had een avocado salade, bleek de avocado kei hard te zijn. Het enige wat ze me aanbieden is een latte met een koekje. Zeer hebzuchtige en gierige mensen met geen gevoel voor redelijkheid. Ze geven je het gevoel als klant dat je er niet toe doet. Ze denken alleen aan de winst. Nou voor mij niet meer hoor. Echt een slechte klantervaring. Personeel maakt je belachelijk en nemen je totaal niet serieus.

My avocado salad had unripe avocado, they don't even offer me a new salad. They act mean and laugh at you in front of you. Very customer unfriendly! I would stay far away from this.

On Monday morning, May 13, an angel served me coffee at the outside tables. With my ridiculous Spanish English, we understood each other perfectly.

A favorite when I'm in Gouda! A neat place, friendly staff, wide selection, good quality and always tasty! There is also a toilet available. Highly recommended!

Extremely friendly staff and quality food

Adjusted from 3 stars to 1 star due to the rudeness of the owner. Today I was very shocked by how she taunted another guest. I just talked to that woman outside and she was just completely upset and in my opinion she had done nothing wrong. I really like coming here. This week I have already stepped inside about four times. Today I asked if the parmesan cheese on a bagel could be replaced by vegetable cheese (cheddar). That was no problem. What a nice service, I thought. Until I found out at checkout that I had to pay extra and that it was therefore not a matter of "replacement". It's a shame that a sandwich cannot be made vegan without extra costs, especially if you have different expectations and this is not reported. It was more annoying when it turned out to be regular cheddar at home. So not plant-based... Very sloppy. Because I had to wait 25 minutes instead of the promised 5 to 10 minutes, I asked for a glass of tap water. That didn't really go well, it seemed. You hope that you will be appreciated a little more as a returning customer, but while I see the staff being very friendly with other regular customers, I am still not recognized after a year of weekly visits. It's a shame and that's why I'm not giving more than 3 stars today.

Until today we came here often and enjoyed it. We picked up food 1 to 4 times a week or went in for a nice meal. Last week my wife, who cannot tolerate cow's milk, ordered a drink with coconut milk. It turned out to contain cow's milk. My wife didn't notice this at first, but she soon started having complaints, so she started asking questions. She wasn't angry, but wanted some reassurance. The owner indicated that the next time she could recognize that it was coconut milk from the black and white saucer. The drink was supposed to be taken off the bill, but that didn't happen. A week later my wife gets another saucer. To be sure, she asks if everything is going well. The response to this is quite blunt. When we leave my wife says goodbye. The owner seems irritated and says goodbye without looking up, without the friendly smile that we see her give to others and with an angry look. My wife asks if she has done something wrong. The owner ignores her up to 3 times and clearly deliberately. That only strengthens the feeling, so the question is repeated and then the owner goes completely out of her way in front of other customers. We are baffled. Is this how regular, returning customers are treated? Instead of a smile and reassurance to my wife that she is not doing anything wrong, but maybe she is just busy, I go on a complete rampage? This probably did not happen, because the owner indeed found my wife's question annoying. My wife did not respond to the tirade and the owner mainly embarrassed herself. It touches us because we loved coming here so much. Unfortunately for us it is the last time. The orange juice is diluted by half with water.

It's always a wonderful place to have a bagel and drink of choice. Everyone there is extremely friendly and welcoming. This has become my favorite cafe to relax and have a latte and read a novel.

Bagels were delicious, stuff friendly and coffee had warmed up my heart. The outside sitting with fresh air and nice look to the city made my breakfast here unforgettable.

I ordered one bagel that had cucumber in it but it wasn’t noticed on the menu. The staff checked again with me and redo my bagel. I always check the ingredients first, and it wasn’t notified. The bagel was really tasty and the staff seemed nice and happy. Due to the allergies tho, I had to rush to eat and it was stressful for me

Quite fine and tasty but tiny portions. Toast with 1 slice of cheese. You're grinding away at a dry bagel. Salad very small. Actually a salad for the side. Price/quantity ratio 1 star. But you can always get a sausage sandwich at Hema across the street after lunch. But it was nice to sit there.

The atmosphere is very nice, there is always music playing, the food is very tasty, the people who work there are very nice, perfect, 5 stars!

Ordered and paid for extra avocado but did not receive it. I've also been calling for an hour to report it, but no one answers. This is very unfortunate

Was here last Saturday. We had to wait a long time for someone to come, they don't look around to see if there are new guests. So you have to sit turned away all the time and try to attract the attention of an employee. Ordered coffee, coke, apple pie and cheesecake. After a long wait, the coffee and organic coke arrived (which should have been told but was not done). After about 20-30 minutes the pastry was delivered, the coffee had now become cold. There were enough employees, but the work was very inefficient. I heard everyone around me complaining. This was the first and last time we have been here.

Afgelopen zaterdag hier geweest. We moesten heel lang wachten tot er iemand kwam, ze kijken niet zelf rond of er nieuwe gasten zitten. Je moet dus heel de tijd omgedraaid gaan zitten en proberen de aandacht te trekken van een medewerker. Koffie, cola, appeltaart en cheesecake besteld. Na lang wachten kwamen de koffie en de biologische cola (dat had verteld moeten worden maar is niet gebeurd). Na ong 20-30 minuten werd het gebak pas gebracht, de koffie was inmiddels koud geworden. Er waren medewerkers genoeg maar er werd heel inefficient gewerkt. Ik hoorde iedereen om mij heen klagen. Dit was de eerste en tevens de laatste keer dat wij hier geweest zijn.

Price/quality ratio is hard to find. 3 sandwiches, 3 drinks and more than 45.00 euros to pay. Stale bread, dry, very sparsely filled, 2 slices of cucumber with the Thai Chicken Chili, and then an assertive response at the cash register when you indicate that you were disappointed. Our last time at Bagels & Beans, and it sounds like we're not the only ones!! Maybe something to think about....

Zat heel weinig op en bij de sojamelk precies 10 choco boontjes ipv gebruikelijke glaasje. Mevrouw vroeg hoe t was: ik zei lekker maar wel karig, minder beleg, 2 kleine plakjes bacon. Mevrouw (de bazin) was hier duidelijk niet van gediend. We komen al eeuwig bij B&b in alle plaatsen. In plaats dat ze t vervelend voor ons vond, ging mevr vol en scherp in de verdediging. Bijna onbeschoft. Jammer. Mevr kon geen feed back aan. Wij gaan er niet meer heen! Ps ook jammer dat t steeds meer vega is

Vandaag 4 bagels afgehaald. Waren door een foutje niet afgebakken. Gebeld om door te geven. Zeer netjes te woord gestaan en ze kwamen direct 4 nieuwe bagels brengen. Top service!!

Wir haben den Tag in Gouda hier gestartet und es hätte nicht besser sein können. Ich habe schon sehr viel Porridge Rezepte ausprobiert, aber euer Porridge Pleasure ist das beste, was ich jemals gegessen habe! Einfach nur perfekt, danke, es war toll bei euch und wir kommen gerne nochmal vorbei.

Wirklich klasse. Die Preise sind etwas gehobener für Bagels, aber es ist absolut lecker und wird toll serviert dad Personal ist angemessen freundlich.

Al bij veel Bagels&Beans geweest, maar dit was een van de mindere. Bagel zat duidelijk minder op dan we gewend zijn en de bagels zelf waren aan de droge kant (te lang in de oven). Extra barista cursusje voor het opschuimen kan ook geen kwaad. Leek op automaten schuim.

De bagels zijn lekker. We hadden wel een hele lange wachttijd voordat we onze bagels kregen. Het duurde bijna 45 minuten eer dat onze bestelling gereserveerd werd.

Jungle juice was vies. Bagels heerlijk, maar het duurde wel héél lang voordat de bestelling er was. Ondertussen werden er allemaal thuisbezorgd bestellingen klaargemaakt. De klant in de zaak maar wachten..

Heerlijk eten. De kwaliteit van zowel drankjes als broodjes en zoetigheid is hoog. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en helpt je graag. Hierdoor ontstaat al een super sfeer bij binnenkomst.
