Bakehouse in Delfshaven

For a party at the daycare center, I placed a large order of snacks at Bakehouse Rotterdam. I called beforehand to inquire about the types of snacks and their prices. During this conversation, the employee told me he didn't know the exact prices, but that the order would be cheaper due to the large order. They also said I needed to place the order immediately because everything would be freshly made and the baker was about to leave. Due to time constraints and preparations, I stopped by that same day to pay for the order. I paid €55 for one small and one large tray of Moroccan cookies. I paid €165 for the snacks, even though they said it would normally be €175 and that I would receive a €10 discount. Upon receiving the receipt, I noticed that it only listed the total amount, without any itemized details about the products or prices. Finding this odd, I called to inquire about the individual prices. During this conversation, a staff member told me that briwats normally cost €3.25 each, but that with my order, they would be €2.25 each due to the large quantity. This was later denied, however, and I was told that this price was never mentioned. When I asked for a price list, I was told that prices vary per order and that different rates apply for larger orders. My request for these prices in writing was ignored. Moreover, there are no prices clearly displayed anywhere, neither in the store nor on the website. I also requested a clear, itemized invoice listing the purchased products and their prices. I was told that this is only possible for business customers and that the childcare provider's information would be required. I find it very remarkable that, as a private customer, I would not be entitled to a clear receipt or invoice with product information. Because the snacks were already freshly made and I needed them for the party, I had no choice but to pay. I would never have done so under these circumstances in any other situation. 15 small msemen 10 small triangles of chicken briwat 10 small triangles of fish briwat 15 medium chicken babots 15 medium minced meat babots I had to pay a total of 165 euros, and after waiting 5 days, I received a printed invoice that suddenly showed a total of 228.75 and an 8.75 discount. So be warned, the appetizers were decent, and I received many compliments from others about the food. But definitely not worth the money.

2 pastries and 4 pieces of baklava for 13 euros, thought it was ridiculously expensive but thought they were special, at home the pastries went in the trash...never go there again

I've been going to this bakery for years and always order cakes for all the holidays. Their donuts are delicious, especially the kids love them! Always friendly, great service, very clean, and super delicious.

The staff were incredibly polite. I was waiting at the cash register to be helped, but instead of asking what I needed, they just stared at me and moved on to other things. They didn't bother to ask if I needed anything. I noticed a certain attitude and irritation when I asked for tissues. Then I heard them talking over me and saying, "Tfoo!" One of them was wearing a hijab, the other a hairnet. After I paid for my meal, one of the women was still rude while I tried to pay. As soon as the next customer arrived, she immediately changed her attitude. The food was good, but the service was, unfortunately, truly terrible.

What a delightful discovery! As soon as you step inside BakeHouse Bakery, you're greeted by the aroma of freshly baked bread and croissants. The selection is extensive: from artisan sourdough bread to fluffy tarts. The lady working there is friendly and takes the time to help you. The shop itself is beautifully decorated and exudes warmth. The lady in question is just as welcoming. In short: a bakery you'll happily return to – whether for your daily bread or to treat yourself to something sweet. I got a delicious cappuccino and a fluffy croissant here. It was delicious ;)

Delicious sandwiches and a great breakfast, with pleasant traditional music. And all of this served by super friendly staff. Cozy and friendly atmosphere!! Highly recommended!!

I ordered cake and appetizers for a dinner party at home. My guests loved it and asked where the cake came from. There was an error while picking up the order, but it was quickly corrected. All in all, I will definitely order again in the future.

Moroccan bakery with lots of choice. I came for msemen. While I was waiting, two employees were mainly talking to each other. When I was finally helped, it was without any friendliness and rather curtly, while other (Moroccan) customers were served kindly in front of me. It's a shame that such a difference is made.

We came here 6:30am, only place open and good reviews I am an Australian who likes his bakeries. We ordered 4 savoury items and two coffees. Everything was top notch nothing to complain about. Tasty. The Burek and cheese danish were the best we have had The coffee was best we have had. The assistant was friendly, spoke good English and very helpful. It was a lovely place to sit and watch the district wake up

Of all the bakeries in the new West, I think this is the nicest. The pastries are delicious, you can put together small boxes of sweets (nice to give as a gift!) and the bread is fresh and of good quality. Last but not least: the people who work there are super friendly!

Tastiest sandwiches in Rotterdam!

I used to enjoy this bakery, but I've had a frustrating experience lately with their pricing. Each time I order a tuna sandwich, the price varies significantly—from 5€(to 11€. It feels like they're making up prices on the spot, which is really off-putting. ( everyday different price ) Additionally, I've noticed that the staff can be incredibly rude, especially towards non-Muslim customers. I’ve seen instances where they skip paying customers in line to serve Muslim customers first, which is both unprofessional and discriminatory. It’s disappointing to witness such behavior in a public space. I cannot recommend this place due to their inconsistent pricing and lack of respect for all customers. There are many other bakeries that provide better service and a welcoming atmosphere.

What a pity that the quality if the early days is not maintained. A couples of weeks ago I vbought again a tray of those beautiful cookies and, although I specifically asked if they were fresh and was reasured, thay turned out to be old and dry.

Bad service! I do not know why? Maybe the saleswoman didn't like me? I stood in line, just like all the other customers. I ordered coffee and paid, but they didn't bring it. I understand, busy. I waited for a long time, but even after my reminder, the saleswoman continued to serve those who came after me? Is that right and fair? Apparently the bakery saleswomen don't like customers and don't want many. The good news is that there is now one less regular customer.

Beautiful place, nicely decorated, sandwiches on the meager side for the price they ask. I sometimes find the chicken pancakes disappointing, they could be a bit crispier, but otherwise it all tastes very good, especially the pastry is a great success. I don't think that older lady with a knotted, round headscarf is customer friendly, the rest is.

Ik had het eerder ergens anders gekocht, het was wel lekker maar erg honingachtig. De Chebekia was hier veel beter. Perfect!!🫶🏽 Voordat ik ging had ik contact opgenomen met hun via Instagram, ze waren op social media en in de bakerij vriendelijk!🥰 Het is een stuk duurder dan gewent, maar een goeie kwaliteit 👍🏽

Ze hebben hier Lekker smaakvolle gebak. Twee taarten gehaald waarvan een chocolade en slagroom. Is geen goedkope bakkerij maar wel goede kwaliteit

Is leuk en aardig, maar soms wacht je wel 10-15 minuten. Misschien meerdere mensen achter de toonbank ipv 1 iemand op een drukke ochtend? Bovendien vraag ik of ze iets kunnen opwarmen, maar dan wordt er gezegd dat hij al nog warm is, terwijl dat niet zo is. Ik betaal ervoor en als ik liever warm heb, dan graag ook zo. Bvd
