Bought delicious whipped cream cake and chocolate cake. I found the chocolate cake quite heavy on my stomach.

I enjoyed my delicious apple pie again, Annemarie. If you're reading this, it makes me happy that you still exist. Also on the Slinge, fond childhood memories of your bakery.

I've been coming here occasionally for years. Beautifully finished products, good chocolate, but especially a big thumbs up for the consistently friendly staff.

For the tastiest pastries, this is the place to be.

Today is my 40th birthday, and I went to Van Beek & Specker to get cake for the kids. As soon as I walked in, I noticed that the two employees didn't even look at me or greet me. The atmosphere was downright unfriendly and cold. After paying €15, the box containing the cake was put on the counter without a word. When I asked for a bag, I was told it cost €0.20 and that they had to pay for it themselves. When I mentioned it was my birthday, I got no response—not a smile, not a congratulations, nothing. It's not about the twenty cents, but about customer service and respect. It doesn't make you richer or poorer, but it says everything about how you treat customers. Afterwards, I regretted buying anything here at all. This is the last time we'll buy anything here. It's a shame, because a smile or a little understanding could have changed everything.

I went to pick up my online order at the store, and nothing was ready. I received a cake from the display case that was bone dry. Nothing was done about my complaint; the only response was that it was nonsense. This is a disgrace to treat your customers this way. Never again for me.

Compliments to the operating room staff at Sophia Children's Hospital Rotterdam, the cake was delicious and worth repeating.

Great, hospitable pastry chef. The products are pricey, but everything is fresh and of good quality! We got a delicious strawberry tart. And it was truly delicious. One of the best I've ever had! The lady behind the counter was super helpful and pointed out that many of the products don't contain gelatin. And the products that do contain gelatin are halal. Super friendly and inclusive.

I've been getting my bread here for years, and unlike supermarket bread, I don't have any problems. They also have delicious chocolates and excellent pastries.

Bought a Valentine's Day cake there yesterday, it looked gorgeous! Cake, whipped cream, yellow icing, topped with a layer of marzipan—what could possibly go wrong? It had no flavor. I used to buy pastries here, always delicious! But this wasn't a good cake at all. The cream wasn't good, the cake was light, though, and the marzipan layer was very meager. The cake was for 6 people and cost 25 euros. Too bad! You won't buy pastries here anymore.

I come here regularly, and the staff is always friendly. I've never encountered anyone being rude. The products are delicious, and I'll be back tomorrow.

Christmas wreath and clot ordered, clot was good, but the amarena cherries flew through the wreath. If I had known this, I would not have ordered here. A bit of a shame for such a baker. Delivery was okay.

What an arrogant jellyfish, I forgot something, very stupid of me, but the employee behind the counter stood there and looked at it, 3 people behind the counter and no one was as attentive to tell me that I forgot something. When I call later for a partial replacement, I am told that it is strange to ask for this. Ps. Baguette was old stuff

One of the bakery highlights for me. They have really good products, I returned to get more. The mustard cheese twist was really good, flaky pastry, hint of mustard, not too strong but just right, plus the cheese - perfect combination. Kaas Stengel. The apple pastry Appelkanjers was also so delicious. Crispy crunchy on the outside and soft, yummy filling that wasn’t too sweet filling. This one I returned to get 2 more times. The butter cookies were excellent, you could taste the quality ingredients they use. They also have a cheese bread, crunchy cheese on the outside and soft filling inside. Delicious beyond words. I went in the morning early enough so that the items were very fresh. I Highly recommend this place. Service was excellent, the baker was very helpful and the owner also was nice. Prices were more than reasonable, for this kind of quality. I wish I lived beside this bakery.

Very good bakery. Get my bread, chocolate and cookies here every week and pastries for birthdays. Delicious! And friendly staff.

Poor quality and service. Egg cakes with large bites. Strawberry cake with old whipped cream. Comments are not taken seriously. Walk right past this place. Waste of your money.

Today we bought oliebollen with currants and we couldn't eat them without them, unfortunately they were still raw on the inside so we immediately threw them away 😔 you expect better quality from a pastry chef...

Horrible place: I walked in here and people were like "WAKE UP!!" after which they showed faces of people I've vaguely seen somewhere before. Then it came to the food. I didn't even have to say a word before I was handed the "food" that brought me to this place: two blobs of (I think) fondant with large, red letters "not your fault". Which, firstly, is very confronting, secondly the blob tasted like what I can only describe as a kind of meat diluted with air. And third, everyone looked at me with bulging faces as I popped this meat-like thing into my mouth. Rather, it looked like a kind of encircling row of eyes looking at me as I watched the space around me turn into some kind of gigantic, far-stretching, reddish tundra. A tundra with only one white door, slowly disappearing into the wet sand. I knew that if I didn't make it through this door, I would have to rot in this tundra forever, so I went for that final sprint. I was running like crazy as the door seemed to go further and further, but I finally made it. When I left I suddenly woke up. The room I was hiding in was suddenly bright white and I was wearing a kind of greenish coat. When I looked to my right (with quite some pain), I saw strange people crying with joy. I looked to my left with the same pain and saw a woman standing there with a face mask, and then it came down to me: the people I just saw were my family and the woman was my doctor who saved me from something, but what then ? I couldn't remember anything after this terrible restaurant, but I did remember something before I visited the restaurant... Something about a car driving very slowly towards me or something... But in any case this restaurant was terrible, 0/10 wouldn't recommend

Ruime sortering gebak, bonbons en brood. Prettige bediening en vriendelijke mensen. Ik kom hier al jaren tot volle tevredenheid.

Wat ze aanbieden is overheerlijk, vooral de gebakjes, koffiebroodjes en croissantjes (ik krijg gelijk weer trek). Echter is de vriendelijke service de afgelopen maanden achteruit gegaan. Een vriendelijke lach is niet meer zo vanzelfsprekend geworden. En dat maakt toch wel het verschil :)

Klasse. Koekjes, gebak chocolade en bediening. Het lijkt wel of alles met liefde en passie geklutst, gekneed, gebakken en versierd wordt. Je gaat altijd met een glimlach weg.

Delicious confectionery. Baked goods are out of this world. Make sure to order ahead for pickup if you can. If you can't, there is always a good selection of amazing cakes and pastries.

Vandaag oliebollen gekocht , Maar druf niet eten, omdat de mevrouw Met handen pakken oliebollen, en ook pakken geld van klant, Met wissellen, het is beter Met tong of klem om voedsel te pakken, niet overal Met handen.

Kom er vaker spontaan langs om delicatesse chocolade, slagroomtaart, appelkanjers en gebak te halen. Klantvriendelijk personeel. Soms valt collega van vestiging Karel Doormanstraat in, die kennen me al zo'n 33 jaar haha. Gezellig bijkletsen! 🤗
