The cafe looks great and service was no bad till I ordered a iced chai latte and got a glass of milk with ice. Also it was pink because that’s the “special” chai latte they have (something I was never informed) and I swear this just tastes like straight up milk. Hardcore disappointment. They also refused to acknowledge the order was bad they just said that’s what I ordered.

Well on our trip to Amsterdam from Canada we stumbled into this wonderful little spot! We have been back every morning to start our mornings in Amsterdam. This spot is clean and delicious! The employees are so friendly! Highly recommend to try this spot out ! Food was impressive and impeccable! Thank you again for your hospitality and wonderful food !

We stayed at a hotel nearby and stumbled into Lupin looking for a place to grab a quick bite. Well that was a very good happy accident for us as the food is delicious! The cafe is cute and cozy, the hospitality is wonderful but again the food is what keeps us coming back. We’re now staying at a different hotel but it’s worth the extra steps knowing the meal will be so good. Yummy enough that I will be thinking of the food long after the vacation ends. Thank you ladies of Lupin! ❤️

I ordered a breakfast. They managed to overfry and under fry an egg, the coffee is terrible, the oj is ok. The bathroom is not clean and only has desinfectant but no hand soap. There is no proper ventilation, and you'll leave smelling like food. In response to the owner's reply here: do you really take your reviews seriously? because it doesn't seem like it. you just sound rude

Nice people and quick service. But I ordered an iced latte and an uitsmijter with ham, got a hot latte and uitsmijter with bacon. Was too exhausted and hungry to say something and the taste was still good. Just not what I ordered.

I tend to avoid the place as each time I was served by the owner I perceived him owner as rude and dismissive.

I ordered from them via Thuisbezorgd, they delivered me the wrong order and do not want to refund my money.

Payed way too much for a carpaccio sandwich my 12yo niece could've made better. had barely baked bread, little amount of actual carpaccio and not a single flake of pepper or salt. Tasted like sweet truffle dough ball :( Ps, the oj was bangin tho

A lovely café, perfect for a break, a delicious coffee, and to recharge. The service was excellent, and they speak Spanish. We tried some delicious hot tuna sandwiches with great coffee.

Why does this establishment prioritize a 30 sandwich order from uber eats rather than sitting and taking orders from customers standing inside the store? And tell you to wait more than 10 mins before you can even order 1 single sandwich?

When I went in for a veal sausage roll, it was stone cold. I politely asked to have it warmed up a bit, and 5 minutes later, my sausage roll was brought back to me from the oven at 120° Celsius, with a bite already out, and no cutlery. Good luck with that, what a shame!

The lunch was okay, the location was fine, but the coffee was absolutely awful. However, after calculating the cost, it turns out we overpaid by a whopping six euros. We also never received a receipt.

Needed a quick bite on the run and the bltc sandwich here was perfect, will definitely be back and would recommend to a friend!

Dubious business, dubious way of responding to reviews, be warned

A Warning About Fake Reviews and Overcharging Potential customers should be aware that this establishment appears to use fake reviews, as many 5-star ratings are from bot accounts with only one review. My personal experience was sadly abysmal. The coffee is terrible, and we were grossly overcharged for it €4.50 for a medium black coffee that is advertised on the menu for €2.95. Upon checking the menus later, we discovered that we had been overcharged by more than 10% for our entire okayish lunch, including these subpar coffees. I cannot recommend this place.

At checkout, the medium coffees we'd ordered, which should have cost €2.95 each according to their menu, were actually billed at €4.50 each. I saw that amount flash by twice (everything was quickly typed in manually on the cash register) and knew we hadn't ordered anything for €4.50, but it could only have been for our coffees because the rest hadn't been ordered in duplicate. I immediately asked what he was charging for the coffees. He said: "large coffees." When I said we'd ordered medium coffees, the response was: "Yes, that's large for us." Huh? Then why do you put a medium and a large coffee on your menu? A large coffee doesn't cost €4.50 at all according to your menu, so I don't understand it. However, it turned out we overpaid not only for the coffees but also for other things, because the total was a full €4 higher than it should have been, which only became clear after checking the bill. So, it was just 10% of the total bill. Apparently, they're charging random amounts that don't match the prices on the menu at all. You don't get a receipt, so there's nothing to check. A fun way to make money. Update after comment: Excuse me?! We didn't have any oat milk; we don't drink it at all. You're confusing us with other guests; what a disgrace. We had black coffee and sandwiches and enjoyed a leisurely lunch with our child. Good luck with your business.

The perfect breakfast, the "Large Breakfast," an excellent bacon omelet in a sandwich fresh from the oven. Fresh orange juice, full of pulp, everything you could want! Affordable prices, two really nice waitresses!

You stand there waiting in an antisocial manner and you are simply not helped while only one person was paying and tourists are being ripped off and tourists had to pay more for their coffee than what was on the menu.

Café Mensik is a truly cozy café, and the staff are incredibly kind. ☺️We actually wanted to try out a few different cafés, but ended up coming back here, simply because it was so delicious and pleasantly quiet inside, but also great for gazing outside :)

The most important thing that I loved about this place was cleanliness! The area that they prepare the food is visible and was so clean and there was no sign of burnt oil smell:) although the cashier wasn't so friendly, the rest was great^^

Lovely cafe with a family-run feel! Came in this morning as a place across the street was gonna take 45+min to get us a bite. We sat down here at Mensink and got amazing sandwiches (with reasonable prices) in few min! Everyone was so kind! Will be back :)

Very disappointing. It was always a nice location but today I was helped badly. You enter and the staff is sitting with earphones in, talking on the phone. They don't look at you at all, unless you stare at them or walk over to them. Too bad!

Do not buy orange juice here. Its just water with orange flavour. The color of it it's weird too. For sure it's not fresh...And all this for 3.75€ !!! Ridiculous. Too bad i can't post pictures of it.
