Bakker Ammerlaan (winkelcentrum Palenstein) in Centrum

Very disappointing. I went to pick up a Too Good To Go box at this location this morning. It was an orange package, but once we arrived in the store, my children and I received a not-so-friendly and rather racist look from the employees in question (two women). The woman standing in front of me, of Dutch descent, was there for the same thing and received multiple items; however, being of foreign origin, I received only one item, and I could tell from the employee's face that I couldn't leave the store fast enough. This racist treatment disappoints me greatly, and it is a shame that this kind of behavior still exists in 2026.

We have been coming here often and never had any problems, but unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience today. The staff came across as very racist, other customers who came for the same event received much more food/treats, and we were given strange looks (it felt to us like it was because we have brown/tanned skin) and sent home with just one box of 6 pastries.

I pick up bread every Monday, which is always neatly laid out. And there is always a friendly employee on Monday mornings. It's always nice to have a chat, and you feel welcome.

I was treated incredibly well by Alicja; she knew exactly what I wanted before I even had to say it. Absolutely fantastic! I also had a chat with Leo, who was also very helpful and friendly. With service like this, I'll definitely be back.

We always buy fresh, healthy whole-wheat bread (only with E numbers in the ingredients) at Bakker Ammerlaan. They also always have a special offer on a cheaper price for the second loaf. Highly recommended!

A very nice bakery with delicious bread. Good variety. The service is excellent. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They know who their customers are. It's always a pleasant atmosphere. We love coming here. Top notch.

Not everything is equally delicious. I've been helped there a few times now by a grumpy person for whom absolutely EVERYTHING is too much trouble. I won't be going there again.

A very unfriendly, racist woman at the checkout with her short, snappy haircut. I'll never come here again, and neither will anyone else.

Always good and tasty sandwiches

Sandwiches supposedly not delivered up to 4 times on Sunday, but we do have another bread. You ask, are they in the city center, no sir, they were not delivered today. When you walk into the city center 30 minutes later, there is a container full and still warm because they came out of the oven...

Friendly staff and delicious bread and pastries

Renewed store and wide range of bread. You can also come and have a cup of coffee there. The ladies are very friendly.

Excellent range, beautiful new store, staff very nice, have a nice cup of coffee every Saturday after shopping and within walking distance for us 👍😊

Nice new store and friendly service. And it's also easy that you can put your dog 🐕 outside on a pole in plain sight ;-) It's also nice that they are open at 8 am.
