Bakker Bart in Centrum

Got a crispy chicken sandwich for my husband and me.. After we finished it, we got sick almost immediately, and we also had to wait an incredibly long time. The staff were not wearing gloves either and touched all sorts of things while making the sandwiches. Bad business.

The ordered panini turned out to be an oven-baked roll and was cut in half before it was heated. According to their picture, the panini is grilled the way it should be. A pity.

My girlfriend and I ordered a sandwich here on Saturday, September 5th, to eat outside. She ordered a brown roll with toppings, and I ordered a soft roll with toppings. At least 15 minutes later, when they came outside to collect the tables and chairs, we still hadn't received our ordered bread. So I asked for it, and a little later they brought the bread. However, my girlfriend got a white roll and I got a hard roll. I went back here on September 7th for this, but as an excuse you get 2 vouchers for a free cup of coffee. You pay a lot of money for it, and yet they can't even do it right. I will be walking past this place in the future.

Lovely breakfast place for our family! We had a random chat with the manager while he was working next to us. He's really down-to-earth, and the vibe was great overall.

What a beautiful bakery! A nice place to sit and enjoy a cozy atmosphere. A lovely menu with plenty of choice. We chose a brie/bacon/honey/walnut panini and a "Nieuwe Vlam" summer special with pulled beef. Both were finger-licking good. Delicious. Highly recommended. 🥰

This is the 2nd time I've ordered here, and the 2nd time the order is completely wrong. It can happen, but the minimum expectation is surely that there is some consultation when a large part of the order isn't delivered, instead of stuffing some cash into the box and not mentioning it. Furthermore, there was no solution either; just shifting responsibility and no solution. If they simply contacted me and consulted, there would be no problem, but that is apparently too difficult. I ordered again on principle, then called, was told it would be resolved with alternative food, and that it would be delivered. However, that turned out to be a lie, and the order was cancelled immediately after the phone call. Ridiculous, I can almost laugh about how ridiculous it is.

The baguette is as old and hard as rusks, then you place your order specifying what is and isn't allowed on it, and they get that wrong too. When you point it out, they get annoyed. What terrible staff they have; they are so slow and can't remember anything. TIME FOR NEW, MOTIVATED STAFF!!!!!!

Two weeks ago, I took a salmon sandwich home. When I arrived, my sandwich turned out to be burnt and the edges had been cut off. I politely sent an email with a photo attached stating that I felt thoroughly cheated, but to this day, I still haven't heard a reply. I really call this bad service, so people, check how the sandwich looks before you take your order home. In the meantime, it has been resolved amicably with the manager.

It's a shame that the girl is using gloves that have been used... letting customers pay, handling coins, and then touching everything, grabbing sandwiches and cookies with the few gloves she already has on... this is not in accordance with HACCP regulations! Next, I buy a pizza slide; the poster outside advertises a bargain: 2.50 for a pizza slide... all kinds. Then I buy it and I pay 3.25 for it?? And then I have to wait 15 minutes for it on top of that, even though it wasn't busy... So it's a real shame that Bakery Bart isn't the way I'm used to anymore... and I do understand what people are saying about the bakery... so I'll just go across the street for a cup of coffee and lunch!

Very disappointing experience at Bakker Bart Wageningen. My order was incorrect, and when I pointed this out, I did not receive an honest answer from the staff. Instead of taking responsibility, I believe they lied about what went wrong. Additionally, the quality of the food was very disappointing; nothing was really tasty or fresh as you would expect. Poor service, wrong order, and mediocre rolls. For me, no reason to return here.

Never order here. Weird place, either delivering someone else's order or making you wait an hour and then sending you a text message saying your order has been cancelled. Unfortunately, I've tried multiple times but they are useless.

Placed an order at the vending machine. To start with, not exactly the best interface, but manageable. However, the machine expects you to enter a waiting number, which the employees (clearly, in hindsight) had not refilled. The machine then accepts a number that does not work in the system (a 0, the number of plates). Next, one thing on the machine works reasonably well: debiting the money. However: no receipt, and as it turns out, a lost order. My biggest problem: when you report this, after patiently waiting anyway, you first get the reproach that a 0 isn't allowed (then make sure the machine doesn't accept it) and an argument that there *are* plates there (yes, because they were finally refilled much later). So instead of apologies, reproaches and hostile reactions. In the end, I just let it go, which meant I essentially left hungry and feeling ripped off. Regarding the taste, I can be quick: A sour and bitter aftertaste.

Overall, the food at Bakker Bart is great, but my last experience was disappointing. I ordered the chicken pesto panini, but the bread did not seem fresh and tasted old. That was very frustrating.

Mozzarella panini: was not cooked properly and on top of that the mozzarella was very cheap, I tasted it immediately. What a shame, I could have made this much better at home for this price.

On the Bakker Bart website, a cream bun costs 2.25 euros, in Kronenburg Arnhem 1.95 euros, and in Wageningen it is "pastry" and a cream bun costs 3.25 euros. ☹️

Sorry, I don't often express negative opinions about a business, but after the umpteenth negative experience, I just wanted to get this off my chest. What a worthless place the Bakker Bart in Wageningen is. If you order something with a specific request, it always goes wrong; the filling is minimal. Hot rolls are charred/dried out. Today I had a double toasted sandwich for €5.95; the cheese had completely run out and was hard, and of the 3 slices of bread, 2 were missing crusts. The top slice was toasted, very dark, and the 2 crusts were tough. I don't think this is worth €5.95, and this was definitely the last time I will buy a hot or filled sandwich here.

Paid 7 euros for a sandwich filled with arugula and 1.5 slices of ham, very disappointing. Dirty tables, mud on the floor, and remnants of another order on our tray—think pits from bread we didn't get and a red liquid on the receipt. Let's hope it was fruit juice and not blood or something similar. Also, many products were "out of stock," something I've read in other reviews. After the promising renovation, this was our first and last visit to Bakker Bart Wageningen.

Ordered through a kiosk. Indicated that I didn't want iceberg lettuce on my meatball sandwich. The sandwich was brought by a disinterested staff member. Still, the sandwich had iceberg lettuce on it, along with a few lukewarm slices of ground meat and practically cold satay sauce. I wouldn't have had much time otherwise, I would have asked for a new one. A colleague had also ordered a sandwich, and it wasn't as specified when ordering! This was my first and last time here!

Terrible place.. ordered via the self-ordering kiosk, after 10 minutes the lady came to bring a salami snack, said drinks would be a bit late, but the bun was half burnt, inedible so didn't eat it. The drinks still hadn't arrived after another 10 minutes, so I walked to the counter and asked for them, only to find they had lost the order. How is that even possible? She said they had added banana bread because you had to wait so long you get a free slice, which is at least a positive point. Then you have to put your tray in the cart, which was packed full so I just put it on the counter. The tables could use a wipe down more often and the toilet was filthy. Yet they had 4 staff members there, how is this possible? Once and never again!☹️

Terrible place, everything we ordered was sold out. We were allowed to pick something of the same price or cheaper, and that was sold out too?! Don't go there!! Then we got the sandwich and it was completely soaked with liquid. And the money we got back because the first food we chose was sold out was paid out in 10 and 20 cent coins.

I've been here several times now, and each time they've forgotten the order or been very late. If it happens once, I can overlook it, but it happens more often than not. I think the store is understaffed. Maybe pay them more and hire another person.

It took me 35 mins to get my bread. Sure maybe due to the busyness. But then I wanted to make a menu with bread and drink, which is 7,5 euro. And I asked if it is possible to add one extra euro to get the baguette instead, the price suddenly went up to 10,5 euro. And the whole communication was awful. Besides this, they also just gave me the bread with just a paper bag. Without any wrapping or anything. So when I opened it, 60% of the toppings just fell into the bag. It was a horrible experience.

I got a sandwich and coffee here today. The staff was very friendly, and I received excellent service. The place looked neat, and the food was truly delicious. Nothing negative to say.

What terrible employees! They're incredibly slow, can't do math, and never get enough pay. The tables are always dirty. I've been there a few times now, but I'm done with it. Time for a good manager.

Of the 4 sandwiches ordered, the Lipton ice tea Peach was the tastiest

I went recently, but literally every table was filthy. When I brought my order, the waitress simply placed the tray on top of the filth. Unbelievable...embarrassing, where is the hygiene? 🥺

What stood out the cart with waste bomb all tables dirty customer asks employee where the waste can go shrugs her shoulders. The sandwiches themselves can be made even tastier at home, fresh baking no way, the toppings have also been cut back. I bought a mozzarella salad and there were only three small slices in it.

2x that I picked up at the bakery Bart. First time 30 minutes waiting for 2 sandwiches. Went again today. Ordered a carpacho sandwich and file american half baguette. The carpacho sandwich was a healthy sandwich when I got home. The file american had to have onion and pepper and salt but unfortunately without onion. Sad that it has to go like this with a small order of 2 sandwiches. Especially because my wife gave birth and wanted a carpacho sandwich again after a long time. For the money you pay just super bad.

I don't like this case in Wageningen. You order from one person and the other person makes it, which I find illogical because it is passed on incorrectly every time. And I had some adjustments and you could just tell she didn't appreciate me. What is also strange is that I was at bakery Bart in Groesbeek and ate the same delicious sandwich, namely with chicken thigh, and the meat was tender and the sandwich was wonderfully crispy by putting it in the oven, but this one in Wageningen I ate half of it because the meat was dry and the sandwich was tough and they do not automatically put it in the oven. Too bad, but this is the second time I have been and I will never go again because for so much money for a sandwich you really expect something tasty. My husband had another sandwich, but the meat was not tender and the sandwich was tough, so he only ate half. Fortunately, in Groesbeek, where we come more often, it is very okay, so it is possible.

I'm not a fan. The cheese sticks are my go to, along with the iced coffee. The iced coffee ran out after I ordered via the screen. As a replacement I received a small hot coffee that was much cheaper, I only found out afterwards. I also ordered a Bosche bun, but only later saw that I had received an orange one for King's Day. It was really inedible, the orange icing is very acidic and the bulb itself is very hard. I don't know if I will come back after this disappointment.

First off, we orderd 2 sandwitches. We were the only customers at the moment but it still took about 10 minutes. When we got, the order was mixed up. I orderd one sandwich with tomato, but I got cucumber instead. She didn't mention the cucumber when she brought the order, which could have ended badly if i was allergic. She also got the customizations mixed up and didn't admit her mistake when we told her. After another almost 10 minutes we got our coffee without the coffee basically. It was pure milkfoam, no expresso, it was pure white. She was very adamant that there was coffe in it when we asked about it. I have worked in hospitality services for 5 years, i know when there is no coffee in my coffee. There was no emotion in the workers action and words. Not nice at all. When she told us they were closing they were very blunt. A big no for me, could use a lot of work on the employee part. Probably not coming back, won't recommend.

A Carpacio sandwich for €7.50 really blows my mind. Two green leaves and two slices of Carpacio is very sparse. I understand that something has to be earned, but I don't think that sandwich cost even a euro. It goes out that customers costs

Nice new store. I was also at the opening yesterday. Then I ate a delicious healthy baguette with coffee. Today I wanted to get some snacks. I had previously looked at Bakker Bart's website. I wanted to order a sausage roll, a frikandel roll and a Mexicano roll. The Mexican bread turned out not to be in the range, while according to the site it should be included. So I bought the other two sandwiches, but I had to pay €2.95 each, while the Bakker Bart site says they cost €2.75. All in all, I'm not very happy that I have to miss my Mexican sandwich and not at all happy that I have to pay more than the price quoted on the site. According to the site, they are closed, because the opening hours are from 11:59 PM to 12:00 AM. But of course those are starting problems.

Fresh bread smells really nice. And the lady on the counter is super sweet and nice. Would have given a five star but the crust of one bread we ordered was a bit too hard (the other bread was just nice) and my matcha latte was too sweet.

The sandwiches taste good, just like all other BB's. However, the donuts were very dry. What mainly needs to be improved is customer friendliness. You notice that the staff experiences a lot of pressure and is very hasty. Just cutting through a sandwich because we wanted to share it is already too much work. This makes the customer feel very uncomfortable.

Delicious fresh sandwiches. Italian roll with minced meat ball with onion lettuce and mayo/mustard. Spelled roll with filetAmerican, egg, onion, salt and pepper. Both were delicious. Fresher than fresh. Very friendly ladies and the 2nd cup of tea was free. Very worthwhile.

It was scandalous what was in the bread box, two loaves of bread and a bag of buns, the value would be 13.50. I'll never come here again, you dirty rip-offs!

Just love this bakery. The crew are always helpful and friendly. Their pastries , cakes etc are always fresh even the coffee is great. Sterk aanbevolen.

Girl was playing with bacon and didn't do anything because Henk was new to her or something. It took 15 minutes for the sandwich to be ready and then it still had to go into the oven. Every other store literally does this within 5 minutes. I couldn't eat a sandwich now because otherwise I would miss the bus. Hungry now. Great baker, but at the time we had to wait a long time before we were helped. Other employees were cleaning and 1 was helping with the sandwiches.

It's a shame that hygiene is lax. Sandwiches are made with bare hands, no gloves. Hands were not washed before, between sandwiches or after making them. The knife was left dirty in the sink and was then rinsed with water to use for cutting. Furthermore, I didn't get sick and my sandwich tasted good.
