Despite the awkwardness of having to pay for the restroom, I highly recommend Bakkerij Bart for its excellent service, friendly staff, and pleasant atmosphere. Hopefully, the restroom policy will be adjusted in the future.

We went here for the first time this morning because our usual place wasn't open yet and we had to kill some time. The sandwiches were good, but also very pricey. Furthermore, the staff was incredibly grumpy. I waited my turn and asked how to pick up my kiosk order, and since it was my first time here, it wasn't clear to me. My question was immediately dismissed and I was directed to the other counter. Then I had another question because my wife is visually impaired, making it difficult for her to use the restroom. We were immediately directed upstairs and had to pay 0.50 for this, while two sandwiches and two coffees cost over 22 euros. The atmosphere and service are lacking. This was our last visit.

Fly in a sandwich... Delicious sandwiches, my daughter always gets a super croquette sandwich. Luckily, she always eats it with great care and picks everything off. Otherwise, we would never have discovered this fat fly. Of course, you can't do anything about it; it happens, I get it. But at least I don't have to have sandwiches here without being able to check them. Hygiene, yuck? And I didn't really feel taken seriously either. Ugh. Not for us again!!

Even if you order a drink (2 pastries and 2 coffees), you are still expected to pay 0.50 cents for the toilets. If you are polite, you get the answer: "Hey, the second cup of coffee is free anyway," and then the lady walks away.

A slightly longer wait, but friendly service. If you order two cups of coffee and the offer is "2nd hot drink free," you don't expect to be charged for two cups! However, the two cups were refilled free of charge. Addition to this review: On August 9th, I ordered a cappuccino and pastries at one of the ordering kiosks. A real plus, especially when there are long queues of customers at the counter. One small point for improvement: Not all products can be ordered at the kiosks.

A wonderful place to enjoy your coffee or lunch for a normal price

Great place to get a coffee and a sandwich. We even got our second cup of coffee free. The sandwiches are freshly made. There's a wide selection of pastries and sandwiches.

Today I bought 6 soft white rolls, when I got home they were all moldy and not just a little bit, heavily moldy, very disgusting, a big fail for Bakker Bart Marktplein Emmen.

It was lovely to sit on the terrace one afternoon. It was a rainy day, but because you can sit under a parasol or canopy, you don't even notice it. The sandwiches were well-filled. Friendly staff. Neat and clean. The restrooms are also clean.

Last Saturday, my wife and I ate at Bartje. We were helped by a younger woman who clearly still had to learn the ropes. She was friendly and did her very best, and the sandwiches were beautifully presented. The only disappointment was the taste. The bread was a bit dry. But we washed it down with some melon-strawberry juice. It was very tasty, but unfortunately, it came in a flimsy plastic cup with a lid, which made it leak profusely when drinking. My wife then had to use the restroom, and what a surprise! As a paying customer, we also had to pay 50 cents for the restroom. I've read this in other reviews, and it's certainly not customer-friendly. Now I wonder why they have this policy... They even charge their own customers for the restroom.

I've been waiting for a while but everyone who comes in is helped and I'm completely ignored. Bad service. I won't be coming back here.

With salads you can get dressing on the side, for a fee of 0.05 cents, which I personally think is a money-grab.

You just had lunch for over 20 euros and you see that you have to climb a high flight of stairs to get to the toilet while you have back problems. You see that there is a disabled toilet on the ground floor, which is closed, and you ask if you can use it because of your back problems and the fact that you can't climb the stairs. You can, of course, if you pay 50 cents for it..... I indicate that I don't find that very customer-friendly. The answer: You can. Next time we'll have lunch somewhere else.

This is not what I am used to from a Bakker Bart, Mozerella sandwich limp and only half warmed up. Burnt pizza bread tasted like nothing and looked like it was days old. And a very rude grumpy woman behind the counter.

Pizza roll could go straight into the trash! Tasted like it was weeks old and I have never been treated so grumpily. What a nasty woman! Not used to a Bakker Bart, I will never come here again!

Very bad experience. Had breakfast with family for €50, but our 7-year-old son had to bring money for the toilet. In addition, sandwiches were not complete as ordered. Despite sufficient staff, nothing is brought to the table. Annoying experience, not recommended!

Grumpy woman, couldn't handle it if you mentioned more than one sandwich at a time. Ordered more than €70 worth of sandwiches, but no butter on the cheese sandwiches, the rest of the sandwiches were very dry and meager, not what I am used to from Bakker Bart and certainly not if you go out with 8 bags.

Have been coming to Bakker Bart for years. Friendly staff, tasty muesli balls and delicious coffee. Market location: quickly noisy inside, fortunately large outdoor terrace and top floor. Unfortunately, I paid for a toilet visit. afz; A satisfied customer

Never had lunch at such a large bakery Bart before. It was nice and quiet upstairs. Delicious humus sandwich with grilled vegetables and walnuts!! Too bad that as a customer you have to pay for the toilet, which was not super clean.

We expect more quality from a bakery than from a supermarket. A filled cookie must therefore be crispy on the outside with a good filling. Not cold and soggy wet and half filled taste was decent but the rest was very bad

Nice to sit outside and sandwiches are tasty. However, toilet use is 50 cents...no problem if the toilets are clean. Unfortunately, all toilets were very dirty, the ladies' toilets had pubic hair and pee sputters, and no toilet paper in either toilet. The men's toilet was full of poop sputters. Also no apologies or 50 cents back after we indicated this. Really bad this and now nauseous and deeply disappointed

Nice restaurant! My daughter (6 years old) needed to go to the toilet, so we went to the guest toilet, which was a paid toilet. My daughter went first. Suddenly a nice young man appeared out of nowhere and let me in to help my daughter. Very neat! After this we ate a delicious sandwich and had a delicious smoothie! In short, very satisfied

Although the food and drinks are good, they are very expensive. I had a ham/cheese spread. The yolks of the 3 eggs were overcooked and therefore dry. I requested butter on my bread. Well nope. I got a plate that could fit 3 bouncers on it, it was so big.

I'm used to better from the chain bakery Bart. Cheese on panini not melted. To wait long. Quality sandwich mediocre. No, this just wasn't it.

Last Monday I bought filled cookies but they were tough and not filled properly! Reported this via customer service but no response was received😔 Fortunately, after a while I did receive a gift bin from baker Bart, so in the end it was handled well!

Went here during Queen's Day. Very busy, but of course Bakker Bart can't do anything about that. What was not so good is the spicy chicken sandwich. The panini. Barely any chicken. And no spice.

Bought filled cookies for 1.95 each. What a letdown. Soft, chewy and almost no filling. I call it filling, because it was not food. At least not from almonds, but probably white beans. Fie baker Bart. At a good bakery, Bakkerij Kuijpers in Valte, they cost 1.50 each and are 200% tastier.

Just watch the monkeys from behind the glass (shoppers) while enjoying a delicious cup of coffee/tea with a sandwich and enjoy the first signs of spring.

Nice place, chaotic service, sandwiches not made with care, were very messy, donuts dry. Shame.... The sandwiches themselves are always nice and fresh, but please pay more attention to the proper filling.

Beautiful bakery/eatery! It's just a shame that more attention isn't paid to hygiene! Keeping the tables/benches/chairs clean with a cloth is absolutely not a luxury, people make such a mess of it...

Zum Kaffee und Kuchen dort gewesen. Allerdings war der Kuchen ganz und gar nicht mehr frisch. Kaffee, Service und Ambiente waren in Ordnung.

We hadden per ongeluk de kopjes door elkaar gehaald voor het tweede gratis kopje koffie maar een nieuw kopje kon er niet vanaf. Daarnaast wou een van de kinderen nog even plassen, maar dat kan alleen als je extra betaald. Dit alles wordt je nog even erg onvriendelijk en kortaf meegedeeld. Zou een stuk beter kunnen want de locatie is erg mooi.

Wat een mooie grote zaak. Alleen raar dat je ondanks consumpties het toilet moet betalen.

Bakker Bart heeft een lekker uitgebreid assortiment. Dit filiaal is prachtig om te zitten en het eten is goed! Vriendelijk personeel! Aanrader om een keer lekker te eten!

Altijd snel en goed geholpen ook als het goed druk is. Wc's mooi schoon altijd fijn.

Heerlijke plek om te lunchen. Lekkere salades. Alleen bij het bestellen en ophalen aan de balie....daar moet iemand met een beetje verstand van logistiek eens naar kijken. Op marktdagen is het er druk en moet je soms 20-30 minuten wachten. Dat is echt te lang.

Broodje besteld, en voor een tweede kop koffie naar binnen. Nou, ik moet zeggen...vriendelijkheid....wat is dat? Koffie werd en neer gezet, en met een boze en onvriendelijke blik geserveerd. Niet even een simpel, alstublieft, nee, meer een blik van, redt je ermee. Wat een onvriendelijk personeel, om klanten zo te behandelen.

Leuke plek om even een broodje te eten. Beetje aan de wat duurdere kant voor bepaalde broodjes. Binnen wel een gezellige sfeer en een mooi gebouw.

Lekker gegeten. Bij deze Bakker Bart hoef je niet te zoeken naar je walnoten of je brie. Er zit voldoende op. En je 2e kopje koffie of glas thee altijd gratis. Verder een gezellige ambiance.

Das essen schmeckt 😋 lecker und die Portion sind angemessen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und gibt ein Tipps. Wir essen wieder sehr gerne da.

Mooie zaak, wel erg druk altijd. Betalen voor toilet als klant is wel erg bijzonder.
