The best thing is to say: This baker is useless. Only that isn't true! The best thing to say is: This baker sees bread in everything. After all, they have delicious, freshly made sandwiches. I was going to complain about the hole in my donut, but it turned out that's how it's supposed to be!

Cozy little bakery, nice girls! I think €2.20/2.40 for a sausage roll is quite pricey... the spicy sausage roll is especially tasty!

I had ordered a large cream cake here and received an immediate confirmation by email. It even stated clearly twice that my order had been accepted. When we came to pick up the cake, we were told that they hadn't prepared a cream cake for 40 to 45 people at all. Instead, they offered a flan, even though we had specifically ordered a cream cake for a special occasion. This is very disappointing: an order is confirmed, but then not executed. And then offering a different product as if it were the same thing. This really ruined our celebration. For us, this was the first and last time we will order anything here.

Clean and tidy, but the selection is limited. I expected more types of yeast-free bread.

1 star: When I inquired whether the vegetarian sausage rolls happened to be vegan, a second employee (to whom the first employee passed my question) told me that they were completely plant-based, so yes, vegan. When I was just looking up another product on the website (krollen), I scrolled past the vegetarian sausage rolls and went to check the ingredients. Unfortunately, I then saw milk and egg listed among the ingredients. So, not vegan 😔 The next time I visit this bakery, I will mention that too. 4 stars: they have anise krollen in their assortment 😃 Average 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3

Just when you think you've found a real bakery, you're in for a rude awakening. What a letdown! You almost feel guilty buying bread here, that's how you get those strange looks. So from now on, I'll just cycle a little further to the Albert Heijn for a freshly baked loaf, complete with a smile.

An order was placed in the morning. We were supposed to receive a response regarding whether the time was feasible. We heard nothing, so we contacted them ourselves. It was feasible, and the rolls were delivered before the scheduled delivery time. So far, so good. After opening the rolls, there was no spelt bun included, and one roll was completely wrong. This roll had not been ordered, and the correct roll was missing. I called to ask why the spelt bun wasn't included. They hadn't been delivered—which is understandable, of course—but they had also informed me of this over the phone. I pointed out that I hadn't had any missed calls. It was definitely my problem. Then I started talking about the roll that wasn't included. The answer was that it was a small mistake. That can happen too. But any goodwill? They didn't have a delivery driver, so they couldn't come to exchange the roll. If I wanted the right roll, I was told I should just come and exchange it myself. So, they are making their mistake my problem. I indicated that I wasn't happy with this, and then they hung up. Great customer service.

Where do I begin... I had placed an order online for same-day pickup. Initially, of course, it's nice that you can pick it up less than 3 hours later. But unfortunately, I had mistaken the branch and was at the wrong location. I was helped kindly there, and they offered to put the ordered sausage rolls in the oven and call the branch to resolve the issue. Then the phone was shoved into my hands, because Mr. Baker wanted to speak to me personally. He addressed me quite clearly: if I didn't come for the order, I would never be allowed to place an order again. And my name would be crossed off the list. So, out of politeness, I went to the “right” branch. Upon arrival, I pointed out to the lady behind the counter her way of dealing with customers. Everyone can make a mistake, but personally, I find this completely unfriendly to customers. This lady immediately apologized and indicated that “the Baker” was very stressed. Then we got to the checkout. I was surprised that I had to pay about 3 euros more than at the other branch. I pointed out that there was a special offer on their website that might be the reason. Then "the baker" arrived. He completely lashed out at me; that is putting it mildly. And if I were to say one more thing, he would eat the order himself! I have never experienced anything like this before. I pointed out his way of dealing with customers. And you won't believe it, he exploded with rage. I left the order and left. I never want to come here again. What an unprofessional man. If you can't handle the stress, you shouldn't project that onto your customers! Credit goes to the lady in the shop who treated me nicely and remained calm. It must be terrible to work with this man!

Where do you still find that? A neighborhood bakery instead of one located in a shopping center? Delicious Brabant enjoyment with a view outside and parking right at the door. I look forward to the terrace season here.

Just had a delicious old-fashioned pudding roll (cream roll). This one had the right kind of bun, just like in the old days. The roll took me back to the days of Pancken bakery on the corner of Botenlaan and Hastelweg. Great, I'll be back soon. And I'll try other things too.

Bad experience! Ordered a cake online for an 80-year-old. So, a big cake. Could be delivered. After 10 days, I called to check if the order hadn't been forgotten. What an unfriendly conversation that turned out to be. They didn't earn anything on such an order, and it was all the way on the other side of town, phew... they didn't get any wiser from that, etc., etc. I've never experienced such unfriendliness, so I suggested canceling, and I think that was their intention too. I will never eat anything from you again, let alone buy anything. Scandalous. Free review all the way on the other side of town!!!!

You know that bakery that says "delivery" but doesn't actually deliver? You shouldn't order from a bakery like that, because they'll get angry.

We wanted a themed card. No problem. Ordered and could simply be picked up on time (early).

You will find very fresh breads and friendly staff.

The staff were certainly friendly, but the pastries were disappointing. The Oreo muffin was on the small side and the dough wasn't cooked through, and the nougatine meringue was just nougatine and no meringue. They do have a wide selection of gluten-free pastries, though. I didn't hear them complain about that.

The staff was incredibly unfriendly, and I also think the price-quality ratio is terrible. €6.95 or so for two pastries, most of which were plain old, dry biscuits. The supermarket is more recommended.

The reviews are quite enthusiastic, but as far as we are concerned, the sandwiches aren't anything special. I don't know if they ever serve sandwiches that are a day old, or if the quality is at or below supermarket level. We certainly expected better from a bakery.

I went there purely for the pastries. I don't have an opinion yet on the bread they also sell.

The food wasn't 100%, but the service and selection were fine. My meatball sandwich looked more like a fried minced meat sandwich.

Friendly and helpful staff who are always willing to help! I've been getting my bread here for a while now because they're happy to put it in the cloth bags I brought (plastic-free). 🥰 (Oh yeah, and they also make delicious sandwiches.)

Quite disappointing, they make small “sandwiches” (belegde pistolets) that are very expensive for what they are: one thin slice of cheese and one thin slice of ham, which do not cover the entire pistolet for 3 euros. I did share my discontentment with the owner, who just said that that was their offering and that she could add more, but at a higher price. Given than in their menu pictures the pistolets are properly filled with ingredients, I feel cheated (opgelicht). I will not come back, once was enough. Edit: REPLY TO OWNER (there is no option to reply to the owner’s reply): I did address the issue to the older lady who made my sandwich. And I wrote my review after talking to the staff about the issue I had. I wish I had taken a picture, because it literally was one slice of cheese and one of ham. That is not how it looked in any of the pictures you displayed, so yes, I do feel scammed (opgelicht).

The truck driver from Bakkerij Bekkers wanted to overtake from the right and then also felt the need to stick up her middle finger. Very professional!

So far, I have no complaints about the quality of the products, but I find the owner exceptionally rude. I witnessed him berating his staff once while several customers were present. And during two separate visits to the shop, I heard him badmouthing his fellow bakers. I find this truly unprofessional, and it actually gives me a dislike for this bakery.

This is my first 1 star review EVER. Worst customer service I have ever experienced: I ordered a whipped cream cake 2 days in advance in celebration of my father's birthday. I knew the store was open until 17:00 (website and Google maps, I assumed to be up to date), which was great since I could then pick it up after work and go directly to the family event. Their ordering system is bit confusing on their website. To be sure when they could expect me to pick it up, I also mentioned the time 16:30 of pick-up in the order (this should be standard form) . At the email order confirmation, they mentioned in small letters the cake would be ready until 14:00, because they are closing earlier (summer break). They did NOT call me proactively to mention the adjusted time. I had to call them to check what the size is of the cake, because now I had to place it in the fridge. They do not know the sizes of their cakes nor packaging and I had to figure out by myself the telephone number of their other bakery store and what the size is of the cake. Their other store did not answer my calls multiple times after opening, so I measured my fridge and cakes from other supplier if it would fit: it would. So today I went to their store to pick it up before work. They did not have the order anymore, because they assumed the order was CANCELLED and it was too late to place a new order. This was apparently communicated verbally? I was not aware of this agreement and they did not confirm this per email. Why and how could they do this!? Since they do not bake the cakes in store, they could only offer the alternatives: vlaai. That is exactly what I did not want. They did not even try to help me out with a different solution. From the woman, I received a sorry, smile, and good luck! :) I had to call different bakeries to find an alternative cake of size, they were at least helpful in forwarding me to their different branches and giving their phone number and helping in placing the order. Luckily I dodged a bullet by proactively calling and trying to pick up the cake in the morning. If I didn't, I would have to fix a cake near closing time of the shops, which is an impossible task. I hope you enjoyed reading my experience, but this should never be anyone else's experience ever!

Always delicious croissants and fresh bread at Bekkers on Saturdays! Order delicious things during the holidays... A colleague promised fresh croissants at 8 a.m. on Friday morning... The boss himself came into the shop: "I don't have any croissants." I told him I was there specifically for croissants. With a wink, I said, "Then I'll just go to the competitor." Then I had to "get lost" real quick... I thought he was joking for a moment, but he repeated his message. So I just followed his advice... Our warm feelings for this bakery have cooled considerably.

That is really bad, you order something and I agree, a few days later it still hasn't arrived, I send an email with that complaint and I get a message that it won't arrive, but they said they would contact me, it's now a year later but I haven't heard anything back, really very bad

The store looks great. The pastries seem good. I went there for really fresh bread, which I'm willing to pay for. I bought seven loaves of bread, three of which were frozen. One loaf was really bad. So I'll go back to the Albert Heijn.

They have excellent bread, although I can only speak for the whole wheat. It's also a small family business, many of which have disappeared from the square in the last ten years.

Terrible. The order was supposed to be delivered at 12:30, but it was completely forgotten. I called right away, and the person in charge said they'd call me back, but even that didn't happen. I finally managed to reach the right person late in the afternoon, but all they offered were excuses. We won't be returning.
