From the moment I came to live in the city center of Almelo in 2002, Bakery Lubbers was within walking distance. From then on I always went to this bakery to get bread. I go there especially for the Waldkorn, which, in my opinion, makes Bakkerij Lubbers the very best. Around Christmas they have the Christmas stollen that doesn't taste as good anywhere as at Bakery Lubbers! Most of the staff, who have been working there for years, are always friendly and, if work permits, also up for a chat. It sounds obvious, but this is also the only bakery where I get my bread. Why look elsewhere when you can get the tastiest bread here. Even the pastries, which have just the right level of sweetness, taste really great here! Always a good excuse to drop in here.

This afternoon on my lunch menu a hard tiger roll with cheese, tomato and egg. Tonight in the lunch box a few slices of rye bread with cheese and/or bacon. Parking is sometimes a bit difficult, but the bus stop is about a 100-meter walk away.

Great real baker. Fresh, wide selection. Both in bread and in additional products. Also always up to date in terms of seasonal products offered. And for convenience, there is also a freezer for items that do not necessarily have to be fresh. Parking around the corner, but time-bound.
