Delicious tompouce and tasty coffee. What a traditionally good bakery. Large assortment and delicious croissants. Service was great and a nice atmosphere inside.

What a cozy spot to drop by for a cup of coffee and a treat. They also have great sandwiches. Highly recommended!

Charming little shop, had a quick sandwich and drink here. Served by friendly staff. The toilets on the first floor look clean and tidy, but unfortunately, they are practically not an option for the disabled. The brie sandwich was well-filled and tasted good, and the cappuccino was freshly brewed using a bean machine 😊 Top notch, keep up the good work.

Bakery in the center of Hollum with service on the terrace with parasols. Do you fancy breakfast coffee (you get a lighthouse cookie with it) with a pastry or lunch? That is all possible here. The service is very friendly. Try an Ameland puff (filled raisin bun). Of course, you can also buy rolls and bread here.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. We visited this bakery several times last year and already had the impression that the service was rather unfriendly and lacked warmth. This year, this impression was sadly confirmed. The staff were once again rude and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome. What was particularly unpleasant for us was the impression that children are unwelcome there. As soon as you enter the bakery with children, it seems as if they have no real desire to serve you in a friendly manner. Furthermore, they don't accept credit card payments in 2026, which, in our opinion, is hardly acceptable these days. Our review is not based on a single visit, but on several attempts over two vacations. We've decided: We will avoid this bakery in the future. Truly disappointing, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, our experience with this bakery was not positive. When we were sitting on the terrace and had been waiting for a while, I walked inside to ask if I should order inside. "No, we are coming to the table to take our order." After regularly looking inside for 15 minutes, where the staff were just standing around chatting, we were really fed up. What terrible service for such an establishment. We left and went to enjoy a lovely coffee across the street. At least here we were welcome, served cheerfully and quickly, and our grandson ordered a delicious toasted sandwich. I would advise the bakery owner to hire a good manager to direct the staff. Or if he just wants to get rid of the business, then keep going like this.

The bread and croissants are really delicious. Nice and fresh, and the staff are helpful, even if there is a long line right behind you. They help you in a friendly manner and take their time with you. However, you are served quickly if there is a line.

Delicious breakfast on the terrace. The breakfast contained everything that makes a person happy. I would definitely come back here. Ideal place for souvenirs, such as lighthouse cookies, dumkes, or sweet bread.

We picked this bakery for our brunch. We chose toast with salami, tomatoes and cheese, toast with ham and cheese, tuna bread, croissant with jam. We think the food might have been better if it was served on a different day because we came around brunch time on King's day when there was a parade so it was extremely busy. We also wanted to try some cakes but the cake section was packed. The fresh limonade, orange juice and cappucino are nice.

Besides delicious sandwiches, they also serve really good coffee (including lattes with tasty flavors) and delicious fresh tea and lemonades. The restrooms are also very modern and clean. It is a really good place to sit comfortably on the terrace, but it is also very cozy inside when the weather is less than ideal.

We took a seat on the terrace where a card lay on the table asking us to order inside. We ordered inside and paid immediately. After a short wait, our food arrived. My partner was still eating when they had already started clearing up. We then had to ask them to leave the food for a little while longer. After we had finished eating, we left quietly. The waitress passed by repeatedly while we were leaving without saying a word. Once across the street where our bike was parked, we were called after by a heavily gesticulating waitress who accused us of dine-and-dashing in front of the entire terrace and our children. We were treated like criminals even though we had already paid her colleague. Conclusion: average food but very unfriendly staff.

The terrace doesn't have the most beautiful location, but the service was good. It's nice to have a pastry here. We also bought a sugar loaf in the shop; that was perhaps the tastiest one we have ever eaten!

Not only delicious breads, pastries, and Ameland cookies, but you can also come here for delicious coffee, tea, and lunch. Friendly staff. As soon as we are on the island, we always go there.

I've bought cakes several times in the last few days. They were all really delicious. Even though it's the off-season, there was a great selection, something for everyone. The sales assistants were super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

I prefer to shop at the bakery instead of the supermarket. Unfortunately, after a few days of buying delicious rolls, drinking cappuccinos, and receiving friendly service, I was treated very rudely today when I quickly went to pick up an orange cake and asked at checkout if I could perhaps have a sugar packet. I had to pay 5 cents for it and was told off for the supermarket being open. This was the last time I bought rolls here; after all, the supermarket is open, the bread is just as delicious, and the staff is much friendlier.

THE tastiest and most pleasant bakery on Ameland

We've had lunch there a few times; try the steak tartare sandwich! It's truly amazing! Fresh bread (as you'd expect from a bakery ;) ) and truly delicious steak tartare.

Unfortunately, it doesn't give it 5 stars because the breakfast concept doesn't make much sense/is too expensive. I ordered the Ontbijt 2 breakfast menu for €13, which includes a croissant, a seeded roll, and so many toppings that it would never fit on two loaves: two slices of salami, two large pieces of Camembert, two slices of cheese, lots of salad, two packages of Streusel, two packages of jam, and a handful of pecans that taste like they've been in a damp cellar for three weeks. And if you want more bread, you have to pay extra. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is good.

Super cozy and delicious bakery in the friendly village of Hollum. It has a nice, modern and clean look. They have both a bakery and a cozy terrace where you can have breakfast, lunch and a cake all day long. The coffee is delicious and everything looks fresh and well made. There is a wide choice in assortment and the staff is very friendly.

Located in the heart of the small community of Hollum is this family-run bakery. Good bread, good coffee, and delicious cakes. Unfortunately, the coffee cups are very small—a cappuccino is just under 150ml, a coffee 100ml—but the prices aren't any smaller. The cashier could learn to be a bit more customer-friendly.

May 20, 3:30 PM. What an unusually unfriendly lady behind the counter. She speaks to us in a snappy tone with visible reluctance. Quickly leaves without ordering anything. We'd rather drink coffee at the competitor.

An excellent choice if you are looking for a good and filling breakfast. The conditions are very nice and accommodating so that you feel very comfortable. The breakfast selection is large so that everyone can find something.

Unfortunately, despite asking several times, we weren't served, so we can't say anything about the quality, but the service is poor.

Very bad experience: sitting outside with a larger group, asking inside (around 4:30 p.m.) whether someone would come to take the order... yes, they would come... but they didn't come! When I asked again at 4:50 p.m., they said: we close at 5 a.m. Everyone was very upset… luckily there are alternatives in the area!!

Bakery de Boer is known for its delicious sandwiches, and after spending a few days on the island, I am convinced that their sandwiches are truly the best. If you are looking for a delicious breakfast with an assortment of tasty sandwiches and toppings, this is definitely the place to be. An absolute must is the Amelander Pof, a kind of currant roll with spice, brown sugar and cinnamon. With a touch of butter, this is a true taste adventure. In addition, the croissants are so fresh that they seem as if they only came out of the oven for a minute. Although the service is not super fast and they first clear tables before taking your order, that is an area for improvement. But it doesn't detract from the overall experience and quality of the food.

Even naar de Bakker(ij). Ander terras was net te vol. Geluk gehad. Heerlijk broodjes. Ruim genoeg voor een lunch. Wat een gezellige bediening. Rustiek plekje midden in he dorp. Schappelijk prijzen. Mooi plek om een wandeling of fietstocht te starten of te eindigen of te onderbreken met een pauze. Wat mij betreft een aanrader maar beoordeel het gerust zelf.

Uitgebreid Nederlands ontbijt gehad met kaas, ham, groente en diverse broodjes. Goed vullend, niet teveel poespas.

Hier kann man kleine snacks genießen. Leckere selbstgemachte Plunder sind hier zu bekommen. Übrigens es heißt mittlerweile De Snuusteriy. Das Personal sehr nett und freundlich
