Bakkerij van der Wal Jolink (De Eglantier) in Zuidoost

I bought a small apple tart yesterday for 15 euros. It turned out to have come from the freezer, which wasn't mentioned. It was watery and fell completely apart when I cut into it. I was very disappointed and didn't expect this, so I am disappointed in Bakkerij Schreuder.

I recently ordered pastries here to treat my colleagues at work. What a success. Lots of nice reactions, with colleagues saying they loved them. Someone even called it a Michelin pastry. I'm already thinking I'll just make my colleagues happy with these pastries again next year.

I bought a delicious spice cake, and the same day I bought four filled cookies for €7.75. What a disappointment for that price. I've never eaten such stale cookies—tough, dry, stale edges, and the filling was almost as dry. From now on, I'll just buy the freshly baked filled cookies at the Plus supermarket, with crispy edges and creamy filling.

What a disappointment after Van der Wal Jolink. I bought a warm sausage roll. The meat was dry and almost black. The puff pastry was stale. It looked like it had been reheated for several days. The coffee roll wasn't good either. It was definitely old, but also of lower quality than the average bakery in Apeldoorn. The price was 50% higher than the other bakeries in Apeldoorn. Prices were at least the same as those in Maassen, a bit further away. You do get fresh, quality pastry there. For sausages, you're much better off going to Dekamarkt, Jumbo, or even Hema.

I recently bought two hazelnut schugebakjes at Schreuder Bakery on the Eglantier. Unfortunately, the pastries tasted like buttercream, and the only indication that they were supposed to have hazelnut flavor was the hazelnuts on top. A bit of a shame for the price.

Last Saturday, I walked in and saw a woman at the cash register with her phone. She looked up and said "good morning," then went back to her phone. I saw and heard two women behind the counter simultaneously discussing what they saw on the same phone. I don't think they saw me, they were so busy with other "important things." VERY unfriendly to customers. I'll get my bread elsewhere.

We've been to these half-self-service/half-counter shops several times now, and whether it's a baker's or a butcher's, I can't get used to it. Fortunately, the staff go above and beyond, and the quality of the bread and pastries is excellent.

The currant buns with almond paste are delicious! The staff is very friendly, and the bread is super fresh. Plenty of choices. You do need to get there early, though. By 11:00 a.m., there wasn't much choice!

We were very pleased with Mark's handling of a complaint we received. We have great respect for the personalized solution he provided. We always enjoy buying our bread from this bakery, which is of good quality.

Just got 6 small rolls (including pumpkin ball, cheese stick, cheese and ham/cheese croissant) I was already shocked by the price 12 euros but well thought they are from a real baker once in a while. But what bad rolls say. Just as dry and tasteless, cheese and ham hardly present. How bad for a baker! Rolls from deka are 10 x tastier

An order was not exactly as I had imagined, but it was handled in a pleasant manner and amply compensated! Top!

Had a complaint about the sausage rolls, made this known and was politely addressed with a top solution! Thanks again for the service provided!

What wonderful people work here! I left my handbag behind and they did everything they could to ensure that I got my bag back. Thank you all very much!!! And we will definitely come and eat with you again!

Delicious bread, nice layout of the store, nice staff.

I wanted to pay for my €4.10 currant buns in cash with a €10 note. Nothing crazy you would say, right? Or I couldn't pay by card because of... a lack of change. That problem was intuitively blamed on me. Ultimately it turned out to be possible to pay in cash and change was brought from the warehouse. Bit of a strange turn of events.

Friendly staff, beautiful store. Croissants and baguettes are mediocre, dry and very Dutch instead of French. Even AH delivers better quality

Wal Jolink has delicious bread, but the service of this company is very poor. If you order bread early in the morning, you can only pick it up after 2 p.m. If you come earlier, your bread has already been sold and you have to wait for the next load of fresh bread that afternoon. Really bizarre. So you can't leave the city because you still have to pick up bread.
