What friendly and professional staff! Marijke and Marianne from Zandvoortselaan are especially helpful, always with a smile and always happy to chat! Delicious products, especially the sweets and cookies are delicious. It's a pleasant shop with a great atmosphere; I'll definitely be back!

Anyone who thinks groceries are expensive in Germany should shop here! 2 chocolate rolls, a mini baguette, and a small cappuccino for €13! The worst cappuccino ever, fresh from the machine and not even lukewarm! The chocolate rolls are delicious!

Very friendly staff, but unfortunately, I've bought "old" stuff a few times early in the morning. Last Sunday, I bought two very expensive rolls with strawberries and mascarpone. Such a shame, and because I have guests, I can't go back. This was my last visit; I'll drive around next time. I prefer to buy good quality, and I kind of assumed that at Van Vessem.

The large chunks of thick speculaas (two to a pack) are fantastic! We had them cut into pieces on the counter to try, and that's how we discovered them. It's quite a journey from Leiden, but luckily they keep for a long time (and we can keep them in a good size). They'll soon be our cycling destination!

A great neighborhood bakery where you can find delicious bread, various types of croissants, cheese rolls, and sticks. They also offer daily specials, and the service is reasonably fast but very good and friendly, of course. I often come here for breakfast or lunch. The baguettes are highly recommended; they're delicious, and the croissants are huge and creamy. You can't go wrong here.

My family and I always receive very friendly service here. The employees can deal very well with the special audience that can count among their customers here. It is the closest bakery to the Aerdenhout reserve. This may explain the behavior of some customers who are used to being derogatory towards staff. Furthermore, I think that the vinegar pissers who have left some reviews would be better off taking assertiveness training. And oh yes, it is quite normal to leave your dog waiting outside, not only at the butcher, but also at the bakery.

What horrible service here. Only paying attention to a regular customer; a newer customer might as well take a week off, because it may take a while before you are helped or greeted at all.

Cash register problem, so employee is working on a solution. 3 customers are waiting for their turn. 2 "ladies" come into the store and try to get the cashier's attention. It's busy. Finally, they push forward under the motto of "just a question" while the customer is already being helped. Pushing forward is rewarded. What a *** store.

The speculaas chunks are rock hard and therefore have little taste. Compared to speculaas from a fellow real baker, this is very mediocre and very expensive.

Nice pastries, friendly staff. You can also sit down for a coffee.
