Here you can have a coffee and a bite to eat from the bakery. It's a nice concept and quite cozy, except it's a bit dicey. No fewer than seven (!) people behind the counter, and yet it's not moving forward. This is a case of "too many people to be efficient." Perhaps with three fewer employees, things would be much faster, as only a few are actually working. The tables were dirty; we had to ask them to clean them. The same went for the restroom. We reported it as dirty. After an employee picked up his nose, it still hadn't been addressed after so many years, despite the fact that there was plenty of opportunity. Furthermore, there's no plant-based milk available (really outdated these days!), and the service could be much friendlier. It's not exactly welcoming. It's a shame, because the selection is extensive, and the concept could be very good.

Delicious food, friendly service, and a good price. It's a bit too small for comfortable seating, though, and it fills up quickly.

What a terrible bakery! If you have no taste, go to Vonken! What cheap, factory-made junk. And then there's the often grumpy staff. Honestly, it couldn't be worse.

Touching everything with your bare fingers without gloves or tongs seems to be normal in the Netherlands. Handling money and then using the same hand to handle sandwiches is not only unhygienic but also disrespectful to the customer.

Ridiculously rotten staff, service only on paper is negligible.

Bakkerij Voncken is a larger chain bakery, and this is reflected in the products: the quality and flavor are somewhat industrial and lack the artisanal character you'd find at a local bakery. The selection is wide, and the price is comparable to that of a village bakery, but for the same price, the pastries and bread from a local bakery are generally fresher, richer in flavor, and more unique. Those looking for truly artisanal and distinctive bread or pastries will usually find it better at an independent bakery.

A wonderful place to satisfy your hunger. I drank a cappuccino and ate a currant bun. My husband had a tuna burger.

Tompouce offer 2.99 euros, not really cheap. Hardened whipped cream, pink layer hardened. Soggy puff pastry and a 2-day old tangerine. Next time, add that it is old cake.

On Thursday at 12:15 in the afternoon there is hardly any choice of sandwiches and we can't make any more. The sandwiches they did have were still edible but not really fresh anymore. This is a bit bad, from now on we will just get spring rolls on Thursdays again. #DLD "Thursday Spring Roll Day"

We were briefly in Heerlen today and wanted to quickly go to the bakery. The rolls were big and tasty. The apple strudel and the carnival pastries were also good. The service was nice. We would come back if we are nearby.

Good baker but scandalous treatment. Saleswoman is very slow when processing a simple order, had to repeat 3 times. Then she makes the wrong choice, including 4 apple fritters instead of 2. When we then make a comment about the high price, "are you sure it's right?", she says: "If you think it's too expensive, go somewhere else." " and other such derogatory comments. Ultimately, when looking at the receipt, it turns out that she did it wrong. Not even an "sorry" was possible. As a regular customer we are very dissatisfied.

As a resident of Heerlen center, I am very happy with this case. The service is knowledgeable and friendly. The products (bread and pastries) are made fresh daily. Delicious !!!!! I really have nothing to complain about this case. Cheers!!!

Bad experience Friday afternoon, staff, the three oldest, not friendly, talk about customers if they don't buy anything in front of other customers that they should just go to the jumbo. And the latte macchiato was not warm and had no taste, too bad you won't see it there anymore.

A good bakery with various nice assortments. Minus that the seats outside could not be used.

Staff are more interested in their phones than in the customers. They therefore come across as very unmotivated.

I bought two slices of pie here that looked beautiful but, unfortunately, both were disappointing in taste. Maybe I just picked the wrong flavors, but we couldn’t finish them and had to throw them away, which was a shame since we hate wasting food. I’ll give this place another chance one day, but for now, it’s 1 star from me.

Wanted to eat a pie with granddaughter, ordered at the cash register, yes yes, one kept folding boxes, the other kept writing, waited and waited. After shouting, the lady came to me unfriendly, there were no more patties, no tuna salad and the sandwiches were also gone. I tell my granddaughter, put on your coat and get out of here at 3 p.m. on Friday. We had a delicious meal at Berden.

Today, for what I think is the 3rd time in 2 weeks, I was treated badly by a younger, somewhat fuller employee. She never seems to really feel like it... and answers bluntly and uninterested... I'm not the only one, I hear it from several people in the city. They will never see me again as a customer. I hear from people that Harry the baker is a good replacement where craftsmanship and good service are still provided.

Beautiful bakery in the center of Heerlen. Cozy seating and wide choice.

The food is good and the restaurant also has an attractive atmosphere, but staff should behave normally towards customers and shout.

We stopped in today to see if we wanted to have breakfast here tomorrow morning. It was around 5 p.m. The first thing the lady behind the counter said: we don't serve lunch anymore. She could also have greeted us and asked if she could help us. Instead of drawing conclusions. Nevermind then!

I ordered 2 strawberry pastries for one person with hard wener and whipped cream. When I picked it up I saw at home that a dot of whipped cream had been sprayed on it. Normally the whipped cream is piped over the entire pastry. I paid €7.20. But not a second time. Voncken has made a mistake here

Asked to heat mini pizza, it was lukewarm at best, ice cold on the inside. The Coffee “Leonardo” was spilling over the edge on all sides, with whipped cream and chocolate sauce lovelessly splashed on top. Employee unfriendly.

Cake was good, coffee was too flabby for my taste.

We were looking for tasty pie in Heerlen and Voncken came high on the list. But that is really so unfair! The place was downright dirty. All rubbish on the floor and dirty tables. But the worst was the terribly rude lady behind the counter. Really never experienced something this bad before. With a deep sigh she showed me which pie we could choose (and don't choose the one that hasn't been cut yet, because then you'll get a sneer). In the end we had lukewarm latte and dry pie... definitely skip that thing!

Beautiful place, delicious cakes and pies. A friendly hello, thank you or have a nice day would have been enough to finish it off, but the employee did not do any communication except tell me what I had to pay. For more than 20 euros per pie, you expect that. Hopefully better next time!

Today I ordered a children's breakfast with my grandchild, a healthy panini for me. I received a small healthy baguette. It was tough and I ordered a cappuccino. Wasn't warm. Probably made first. And then breakfast.

An old colleague and I went there on a drizzly Monday morning for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie. The rice flan was tasty, but the cappuccino was watery and not tasty. The waiter, a young man (still in training?) also initially brought the wrong coffee ordered. When we took a seat at a table at the back of the store, my former colleague went to the counter to place our order. No one from the staff came to us to ask what we wanted to use. All in all, I give Voncken a weak six. All in all, perhaps the drizzly day played a role.

Neat place, friendly employees, but tough sandwiches. Those things from yesterday shouldn't be with the fresh rolls! No wonder bakeries are dying out if the quality is lower than Albert Heijn

2.65 for a ham cheese croissant that they buy ready-made and only have to bake.

A mix between a bakery , cafe and a restaurant. They do a decent job of having it seem a bit like all three.

Heerlijk brood gebak e.d. Lekkere koffie, gezellige sfeer.

Vriendelijk personeel. Lekker eten.

Mooie bakkerij. Goede producten en heel aardig personeel. Prettig om hier een ontbijtje of lunchhapje te nemen. Regelmatig is het lekker druk in de lunchroom. En er is een ruim terras ter beschikking.

Met 2 personen op terrasje gezeten. Moesten binnen bestellen en betalen. Geen punt maar dan moet je wel alles hebben. Beide wensen van broodjes hadden ze niet. Moet je naar buiten toe vragen wat de ander dan wil omdat ze het niet hebben. Je bent een “bakkerij” met terras en een kaart. Zorg dat je alles hebt. En als je wel de bestellingen kan afleveren buiten, kun je óók bestellingen opnemen. Je wil winst halen uit een terras?? Zorg dan ook dat je kan opnemen en betalen op het terras. Uiteindelijk bestelde broodjes waren ok. Een helaas doordrenkt met saus. Jammer. Koffie ook wel ok.

Voncken heeft een ruime keuze van lekker brood en gebak. De medewerksters Joyce en Yvonne zijn altijd supervriendelijk en hebben oog voor de klant. Mooie locatie in Heerlen-centrum.

Alles super lecker zu ordentlichen Preisen. Was ich jedoch absolut Schwachsinn finde ist, dass wenn man etwas dort essen möchte sich an der hinteren 2. Kasse anstellen muss.. also ob ich jetzt direkt an der 1. Kasse zahle und es mitnehme nach draußen oder mich an der 2. Kasse anstelle Was tut das zur Sache? Da hat die Dame nur blöd geschaut.. sonst Kaffe und Teilchen top 👍🏼

Soms is het brood te vlug oud en verdeel het al met 4 sneetjes per dag dus overal bij voncken lampion brood is een daar van veel water in jammer

Wij vroegen om een stuk vlaai maar kregen een harde Wener gebakje met vruchten. Ook prima, maar niet waarvoor we kwamen

Heerlijk gegeten in de middag. Een heerlijke tosti die eens een andere twist had. Medewerksters enorm aardig en de sfeer heerlijk. Aanrader!

Gehört bei einem Trip nach Heerlen immer wieder dazu, das Frühstück für 2 Personen plus extra Omelette. Alles lecker, die Auslagen sogar besser als in Deutschland......

Lekker rustig kunnen zitten en eten, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Eten prijs kwaliteit en hoeveelheid prima. Tot een volgende keer. O ja ik vond de koffie heerlijk.

“Plots” serveren ze het bakkers/frans ontbijt niet meer in de middag terwijl dit wel altijd mogelijk was. Heel vreemd.

Lekker eten en lekkere verse broodjes mogen best, een aantal euro Kosten . Maar de prijzen die tgnwoordig door hun gehanteerd worden zijn wel aan de erg Hoge kant . Als je meer als 10 euro kwijt bent, voor een cola en een broodje Hawaii, wat zo groot is als een sneedje brood dan vind ik je toch aan de dure kant .

Bedankt om de gevel zo prachtig op te knappen en al dectijd en geld erin te willen steken. Hartje heerlen is er weer een stuk prachtiger op geworden. Mede door de look de aankleding maar ook binnen knus hartelijk gezellig en veel keuzem Je moet er nooit lang wachten en kan ook uit de wind zitten. Topper.

Een aanwinst deze fijne bakkerswinkel in Heerlen. In een prachtig gerestaureerd pand. Veel mooier dan in het Coriocenter. Goed assortiment. Veel keus in brood, vlaaien, banket, en ook de mogelijkheid om er een kop koffie te drinken met iets lekkers erbij.
